NASCAR Cup Series Coke Zero Sugar 400 @ Daytona International Speedway Race Reaction and Results

all right there we go should be live over on YouTube all right so there we go and we are here for the Coke Zero sugar 400 here from the Daytona International Speedway 160 laps ahead of us and I just want to brag about my guys for a moment Mike McDow and Todd Gillan front row Motorsports locking down the front row of the uh race I'm excited can't wait to see how these two uh work this out from the front row uh starting position uh Michael mcdow's I believe fourth pole position of the season so definitely uh looks like it should be a good one all right let's see there we go all right so there we go we are here and we are ready for the race hopefully you guys are excited I know I am all right just waiting on my uh leaderboard to actually uh start working it seems to happen every once in a while that the leaderboard just for whatever reason doesn't want to actually load so it may be a minute until we get the leaderboard up but come on let's see what about the raw Fe does that that doesn't start till the race starts so I won't be able to get that going early to try and start sizing it up but we are should all be ready though and uh going to just pop out the chat real quick now way I can read chat nice and easy there we go hey spider how's it going and yet no I'm not muting I've never have intentionally muted myself I just for got when it came to uh just double check make sure that I'm not haven't done that this time yeah so everything should be working but yeah the only reason it didn't work last time was cuz I forgot about the fact that I had the uh uh audio Channel split for uh when I was recording that way I could edit the AUD different audios uh separately rather than having everything set to audio channel one yeah so like for example when I'm recording gameplay videos being able to uh raise or lower the volume of the the background volume of the video game or people I'm chatting with on Discord versus myself to try and balance out the audio works a lot easier if you can have them on multiple channels and just forgot to read them all to one when I went to uh go live so 19 minut 19 and a half minutes from the command to start the engines and uh yeah we should be ready to go again we're just kind of waiting for the uh leaderboard for my usual leaderboard to uh decide that it wants to work I only went with uh yeah I only went with the uh 15 minutes earlier start time today basically just because of the fact that the last couple of times that I've done it right at NASCAR scheduled time I'm usually joining in just as they uh are rolling out onto the racetrack so here you go they're showing the drivers currently not locked in who have wins at Daytona Kyle Bush only W Daytona win on his record back in 2008 yeah Michael McDow obviously the winner at the Dayton 500 couple years ago and there he is there's your poll sitter Michael McDow riding around on the truck Denny Hamlin going out there handing out some coke and signing some autographs I mean that has got to be one of my favorite things to see NASCAR drivers doing when they go out there and actually are yeah basically hanging out in and around the fan signing autographs it's one of those things that I think helps make the sport and any sport special when your top Stars don't aren't so high and mighty that they feel like they don't need to go and sign autographs or don't need to basically acknowledge the fans that make it possible for them to do what they're doing Watkins Glenn they got the Watkins Glenn race weekend coming up in a few weeks in the playoffs definitely excited to see what that one holds uh for it but yeah Walkins Glenn's always a crazy race all right let's see just double checking everything we should be good to go thank you guys for everybody by the way that has joined in nice and early and uh yeah we're again just kind of chilling out here hanging out getting ready for this one fact I can go ahead and hide away nope not that yeah hide away that for now I didn't opt to go for the green screen today uh mainly just because um I've got the shirt I'm wearing has a little bit of green in it and didn't want that getting green screen so green screen it'll come and go might become more of a regular feature if people are enjoying it also let me know how how you guys are liking the audio levels I went and messed around with them just a little bit before the uh stream but I don't know how they actually sound Al let me just double check make sure I can actually hear myself okay so yeah audio levels I can at least hear that you guys can actually hear me on that and we are good they're coming back from commercial break and again we've got ourselves a little over 15 minutes probably before we uh see the command to start the engines and is is that a Jimmy Johnson yeah Lee DIY on the play-by-play call for the uh rest of the NASCAR season I think Lee DIY is one of the greatest voices in racing of any kind did amazing work for the Olympics over the last month or so and has now been moved over from the from NBC's Indie Car content to the uh NASCAR side of things and showing the that replay of the 2015 uh got the 2015 wreck for uh Austin Dylan last year's wreck for for Ryan PRI some absolutely violent crashes here just glad that luckily in those instances there were no serious injuries to either driver because that is always the first and most important part when we see a big scary crash like those and speaking of big scary crashes last week at Michigan up and over goes H coret Joy just very little uh to do with it and it's just weird that to see just how easily that car just picked up and went right off the ground and then went for a tumble the second it slid into the grass but uh yep definitely curious to see what the lack of grass uh on the backstraight way Daytona does they also added a uh second rear uh rear window fin that should theoretically help keep the uh stuff on the ground so we'll have to wait and see again how those changes end up playing out all right so again we're just settling in here um let's see come on come on nope all right well I guess uh quickly I'll go through a couple of the uh things that I normally uh forget to to talk about but um if you guys like to play NASCAR fantasy or haven't tried it before but want to give it a try um I have a link down uh the top Link in the description uh down there links to my fantasy league that I play with a bunch of friends and family and starting this year I opened it up to I sent I put the link in the uh description of a bunch of videos and started inviting you guys to come and compete and see if you guys can pose a challenge obviously we're pretty late into the season so the season long points you might not be able to get the win but the playoff the playoffs are right around the corner and there is a way to filter by who the uh who's earned the most points in the playoffs not to mention just being able to win on a week toe bases always an interesting uh component to the game all right so let's see most active wins on drafting tracks brag kazlowski clears the rest of the list by a bunch Denny Hamlin three J 500s and two Talladega wins puts him up there at five the fact that Kyle bus and Stenhouse though have three and have three wins a piece on drafting tracks the fact that each of them have that and obviously we have a drafting track and both those drivers are essentially must winds here tonight certainly something to consider again let me know how the audio levels are because again I can raise and lower them I just need to know how much or how much I do or don't need to raise or lower them all right let's see see what else do we got going on uh all right I guess I'll go ahead and mention this one um yeah I've been I've been trying to get more active on Twitter especially uh during races where I'm not able to uh where I'm not around to end up uh streaming the race um because I'm not always able to stream the races or at least I'm not home when the race starts so I don't end up streaming them but I usually am act I'm usually pretty active either reading and or posting over on Twitter and again trying to get better about that all right so there we go but yep pretty much everything else is uh pretty much covered uh the lap down podcast uh new episode is up over there that's a podcast that I do with a bunch of my friends um throughout the NASCAR season and yeah our week our last week's episode finally went up so that is there and just kind of waiting to see again right now we're just kind of waiting through commercial breaks but that's actually just reminded me of another thing that I didn't cover yet but um this race the Atlanta race and the uh cega races in the playoffs we have zero green uh full screen commercial breaks during green flag action which means we will not miss a moment of the action and that is a absolutely great thing I think there's no I I'm glad that they're doing it for at least these three races on a trial basis and if it were up to me I would say we should be doing it at almost every race again maybe you can make an exception at somewhere like a road course like Walkins Glenn or Charlotte where well there isn't going to be constant action but you also can't guarantee like going to a commercial break and then suddenly the second the cameras are off someone slides off into a runoff area all right so there we go there we go there we go all right they got the uh and say the drivers are not in the cars yet although they are definitely all really close and should be getting ready to get into the cars here any minute all right let's see let's go ahead and take a brief look on Twitter see if there's anything going on here let's see oh wow people already have the uh have the uh van Shane Van kidsburg and cup carard are already mocked up as to what it might look like based on his schemes this year and then his new number which I guess we can talk about that for a minute because it was announced about an hour about an hour or two ago that uh Shane Van gisbergen will be driving full-time in the Nascar Cup Series as a part of a chartered entry for track house racing driving the number 88 car and I have a few thoughts on that first off I I just kind of want to know why they went with number 88 no say the font on its own looks a little off not to mention I think there are yeah I think there's four numbers that I think would work better with their font and would kind of match their theme a little bit better so I mean I think 97 and 91 would be the easy ones but I can also explain those ones 97 maybe Rous is holding on to it for a potential third full-time car um car so maybe 97 wasn't available in cup because that been his number in the uh in racing for the last several years then you go to number 91 maybe track house wants to keep the 91 available for a potential rotational car to continue project 91 with guys like Kimmy renan and other F1 world champions going forward obviously yeah it would be a fourth car not a third car going forward but it's still very possible that we could end up seeing that but then why not potentially go with a 01 or a 07 I think both of those numbers would look a little bit more natural than the like the 88 with the little slic taking the track house sliced taken out of it um just looks a little off again maybe it's something that'll grow on me and I don't think it looks bad it just seems like a very unnatural choice to have elected especially considering um again svgs run the 97 in xinity with the slice and he's and obviously he won the cup race in the number 91 with the slice taking out the number so we've kind of seen those so that's probably part of why they look z natural all right let's see I will say I do like the fact that this is over on uh on peacock itself the stream delay might be different so I'll have to wait and see what the stream delay ends up looking like but let's see all right so Daniel H rolling off 28th and Shane Van gisbergen in the uh 16 which that's another thing shanan gbur and up the number of Cup races he's running in throughout the remainder of the Season yeah as we get ready for this one so yep there we go all right let's see going to try the uh Live Leaderboard again let's see does this work now now that we've uh gotten past what should be traditional start time [Music] on nope h if I wasn't already live I would probably try uh restarting my computer to see if that would work let's see what about the Raw Feed is Raw Feed up yet all right well again that's not my favorite way to do it but I guess we can make make this work all right give me a minute guys I'm going to be uh working on the overlays here uh we'll cover top 15 if we have to use this one we might as well use something that the other layout wouldn't give us which is a top 15 leaderboard all right you guys can also get a chance to see just kind of I yeah produce the overlays that I use so we're going to go ahead and grab just a thin Little slice of [Music] that let me go ahead and cover over the uh the car number just see how that looks all right not exactly sold on it but all right now let's see now we got to figure out how to get the lap count going where we want to put that all right so we'll have lap there we go and there we go and then move that one for now all right go ahead and fit this there and we want to also include the to go and we'll flip that over [Music] there boom boom all right so I think that works pretty well we'll use lap until we get past halfway or so and then we'll go ahead and move this over here again I know this isn't probably the most exciting thing but hopefully yeah this will at least allow us to provide more insight into the uh race as it happens before there we go the track condition there we go that'll make a nice good kind of lid to put on that all right there we go and now we just got to try and get the uh lap times on or the not the lap times but the uh differentiation in the [Music] gaps all right Delta that's what we really need all right there we go now we just got to try and figure out exactly how far over we have to to slide the uh leaderboard to be able to fit most of the names there we go that should be good for at least most of the names and just got to try and figure out exactly which ones are which there we go all right so that should be serviceable again not exactly what I was hoping to have for a uh leaderboard but when the leaderboard doesn't work all right let's see all right hopefully should be coming back from commercial break here and getting ready for this one all right again not exactly and just going to move myself try and uh Center my camera a little bit over here here all right should be ready for the Cup race here say 15 minutes past the original start time and the cars are rolling there we go Michael McDow rolls off from the pole position Todd Gill in second third is going to be Joey leano four four Ryan PRI fifth and sixth are also forwards with Josh Barry and Chase Brisco William Byron and Austin cnri will be making up row number four and row five will be the Hendrick Motorsports teammates of Kyle arson and Chase Elliott the two Hendrick Motorsports teammates who are also currently the only two Champions on their roster and a lot of drivers popping out of line here uh down the back straightaway Kyle Bush and Browski sharing a row six that's the fun row uh let's see Austin Hill in the 33 as a part of a part-time effort there starting in the in the uh mid uh top 20 there and then we got the uh uh where's uh let me see I didn't there's one guy I didn't see on the starting lineup that I kind of wanted to be able to see all right let's see because yeah Parker retof in the number uh 62 car yeah this week he is going to be starting 29th driving for Beard Motorsports as we get ready to go in that part-time effort all right so now we're just kind of waiting to see what's going to end up happening they got a uh all the drivers are going to come down Pit Road for a Pit Road pass through basically a way to try and check speedometers make sure their speedometers are working all right and yeah we should be pretty much ready to go yeah again I definitely wish that we had couple different things for the uh leaderboard but for what I was able to build I think it should hopefully work pretty well all right there we go they got Lee Diffy and again Lee Diffy being in the booth makes it very disheartening that I'm not listening to the broadcast but on the plus side it the radar looks clear so for the first time in a while we aren't threat we aren't uh Lo going to lose the race to rain unlike at Michigan last week where uh ultimately it rained out and then ended up leading to a yeah Monday race at 11 a.m. and I was busy I had to go to work so I couldn't stream oh man that is still such a violent crash there for uh Ryan priest from last year again amazing that he is okay but very glad and then yep now he starts in the fourth position definitely curious to see how the uh front row Motorsports guys are going to handle being on the front row together yeah compared to because I believe this is the first time they've ever actually locked out the front row they had the ability back at uh I think it was the um back at the second race of the season for uh yeah the second race of the season for Whatchamacallit the uh uh what's it called Atlanta race where Joe got penalized off the front row which led the possibility of Gillan and of gilland and McDow potentially lining up on the front row together but they made the smart decision and lined up nose to tail instead so there we go I guess based on that do we think they go for it again here all right so here we go yep there goes all the cards coming down through for the uh pass for the pass through to get an idea as to Pit Road speed and there's the infamous playoff cutline here Martin Shri Jr plus 77 points I want wanted to see him potentially locked in before this race tonight obviously it's hard to be locked in on points especially when there could be two more winners which would mean he'd need to be like 80 points ahead of Ty Gibbs which is a lot of points to have over somebody espec he's got about half of that so he's basically got a One race cushion over Ty Gibbs but assuming that t that we don't have two different winners these next two weeks and or or Austin Dill doesn't win his final appeal to the final appeals officer of his penalty uh we'll definitely have to wait and see all right there we go and we are again ready to go here hopefully you guys are enjoying this uh these uh videos and if you guys good to go though lights are off in the pace car which means green flag next time by and here we go again I don't know what the timing on the uh on the leader board is going to be the leaderboard always seems to be a little bit ahead of what I'm getting to watch here we go pace car dies for cover down towards Pit Road and let's see it is going to be green green green green flag is out and we are going to be racing here in Daytona and that was a man that is such a slow windup here Joey Lano right on the back bumper of the 43 or of the 34 car here getting a nice solid push but again the field just looks really slow I don't know if that's just me if it'll maybe fix itself over the next lap or two but yeah just visually on the restart it looked slow all right there we go yep now they're starting to pick up some speed down the back straight away it does take about a lap lap and a half to get these cars up to 100% full speed but every bit helps and there we go so yeah we got three Fords in each line uh for the first three rows and then that's where the manufacturer div diversity starts to pop up so 35 laps here in stage number one allowing for a nice short stage everybody can make it on fuel and it will be just about trying to fly through this uh first stage as fast as humanly possible here we can actually see drivers Racing for position here all right Michael McDow settling into about a Half Car length advantage over the 38 of Gill and hasn't been able to make enough of a gap though to potentially go up and lead the outside line if he feels that's most effective and oh oh a little bit of a wiggle there from McDow as legano continues to push here but again yeah still on the outside goes the number 38 car it's almost like these guys are uh have decided that instead of trying to lead the field as a one two uh on the top line pushing each other that running side by side in front of the field is going to be their way of winning this race which obviously we're at on lap three we're a long ways away from the start of this thing also uh the uh leaderboard uh the leader board I put together isn't working great all right well let's see what about the uh traditional leaderboard that I usually go with here we go got a nice push here and the help behind uh Todd Gillan starting to fade a little bit all right so does not look like that's working either so again we're kind of stuck here for a minute while again I just don't have a working leaderboard but again I think the ideal thing for the uh front R motorsports guys would be to try and get one of them down in front of of the other either on the top or the bottom line but again the uh 34 just seems really Twitchy tonight I don't know if that's just me being paranoid because we obviously need this race win if uh McDow is going to end up getting into the uh into the playoffs or what but man I'm just I'm not comfortable with the way that car looks and here we go here comes Ryan priest is the back bumper of the 38 is that going to push the 38 clear out in front and we do have a third lane forming here Austin synr the driver who started in the fourth row of the outside line has uh ended up leading this charge you got Brad kazlowski as well on that top side and we know he's not going to lift especially for the guy who took his ride and all the way up it's going to be a battle for the lead almost three wide for the lead there for a moment ultimately it looks like that Top Line kind of stalled out right around the uh third car in around the second car in line and there we go Michel McDow clears and is now feels comfortable to start you kind of working with his teammate potentially of taking away the air but nope goes back down the bottom to try and take the air away from lagano and now it's going to be three wide behind the field is three wide a in behind Michael McDow three cars wide and McDow can't block call three he's oh Joe Lano trying to make the move to get to out in front of uh Michael McDow Michael McDow went up to block the two of syri and now Joey Lago on that inside line he's got the uh position on McDow and I believe that is going to be Joe Le going and taking the lead from Michael McDow here thanks to a push here from Josh Barry and coming down the line oh man they are moving around so much here McDow to the top I Barry LED that lap I think Barry may have led that lap there all right let's see yeah got no idea why none of the leaderboards uh that Nascar has almost every single week just aren't working this week but yeah looks like uh Joey leano and uh and the 38 of Todd Gillan kind of got stuck in the uh sucker hole in the middle just kind of suctioning themselves backwards Here Comes Josh Barry with a big push from the 24 the the 34 coming down to side draft to try and take away some of that run and then here comes braski with a run the bottom line with a ton of momentum very definitely let that lap at the line and here we go let's see all right I going to just uh basically abandon oh wait oh we might have it nope n all right so I think the leaderboard I think they are working on the leaderboard to uh have it online soon we'll just go ahead and pan over to this one for now but here we go yeah Joey Lano here running again in kind of that Middle Lane trying to make something work and he is ultimately stalled out Mike McDow and now BR his lowski out to the lead of the race after a push from William Byron and a lot again a lot of sliding up and down the track and that just leads to un to an uncontrollable situation here but uh yeah right now though Barry and kazlowski fighting it out for the lead of this race Michael McDow on the top side has some momentum Barry up to block got braad kazlowski now clear out in front of all three lines he's going to try and work all three lines to see what he can do he and Josh Barry are now clear so Barry and kazlowski can now start to block all through Lanes Barry starts to move down to the bottom line he sees some momentum coming from the number 24 car gets down in front gets a little bit of a push there just enough to get side by side with BR isasi as they head into the trioval and kazlowski at the line leads it and right now we are 10 laps into this one looks like they're going to be going to a side by side commercial again there will not be a full screen screen commercial break during the uh proceedings and there's a full screen commercial break I thought we were supposed to have commercial free racing okay let me go ahead and see if it's just a peacock thing and maybe uh the other uh some of the other channels have it uninterrupted shouldn't have to because it should just be commercial free as is but all right let's see oh come on really it's going to make me sign in all right going to have to uh give me a second guys we were at commercial break so I wouldn't been able to see much on peacock anyway but all right there we go see again right now I'm just trying to get through this let's see all right there we go should be able to get the uh TV broadcast here momentarily and this was supposed to be commercial free or at least at worst side by side y there we go okay side by side commercials here I guess just peacock didn't get the memo but here we go Mike McDow on the top line he's gotten out ahead of uh out ahead of joy leano not quite to the lead of the race but hey that momentum and honestly just the average running position you need to be doing pretty well throughout the majority of those race it feels like to actually have a real shot all right here we go come on all right well it's not perfect but we might be able to do at least something here and something in my opinion is better than nothing all right right so first off we're gonna go ahead and cut down on a lot of this there we go now you at least have a a header at the top that shows the top three and the lap count it's better than nothing and again nothing is what we had before all right here we go let's see so Josh Barry out ahead Michael mcdal has filtered himself out to the second position and and he is clear so he can move start to move up and down the track respectively here uh basically blocking the lanes in behind Josh Barry and maybe at some point he'll find a run to maybe make the pass on Josh Barry Oh but here we go Joey Lano makes the move here to the inside of uh of McDow and just Leap Frogs right past him and now legano is in the position that that McDow just was where he can start to block both lanes got really loose there trying to find any spot he can Joey legano finds a way around Josh Barry with a push from Michael McDow here we go Michael McDow with the push here now Joey leano out in front of both lines and he can start to to try and work both lines the way that McDow was earlier trying and be that Pi Piper and leading both lanes around here a lot of that momentum the Ford seem to be able to bring the momentum it again the biggest thing for the Fords is usually fuel mileage uh or lack thereof here at the uh PL races but yeah right now though Mike McDow as they run 121 points outside the cut line but if he gains that one spot he goes to inside the cut line but uh yeah the playoff point the points as they run are absolutely Just sh aing all over the place and there is no real uh consistency you can gain or lose 15 points pretty much just by where you are in line and how your line is doing at the moment I will say though Todd Gillan back up into the top uh into the top five here and speaking of Todd Gillan here we go to the middle of the racetrack he's going to try and see if he can leap frog past Brad Kowski he's gonna get a push from Byron and Leap Frog past his teammate Michael MCD potentially we'll have to wait and see yep there we go Tod Gillan jumps up in front of Michael mcdal now on the Top Line and that Top Line is linked up and getting some good pushes But Here Comes Ryan blay on the bottom line pushing Josh Barry Josh Barry all the way back up to the lead of the race and again that's just how this momentum style plate racing works you got so much momentum that came from that bottom line out of absolutely nowhere now all of a sudden Todd Gillan and Joe legano they are having to try and fight side by side with Barry now Lano gets clear he can start to block both lanes once again Todd Gillan all the way up to try and work with his teammate Michael McDow on the top line William Byron trying to shoot through the middle and oh Barry trying to make some moves there we go Josh Barry out in front trying to block all three lanes blocking three lanes is not usually a very effective strategy here to the middle it's three wide for the lead three wide for the race lead and here we go Todd gilland on the top line Barry in the middle Joey Lano down bottom they are three wide all the way through the pack including the race lead looks like Barry starting to lose a little bit of that momentum Joey lagano clear and can start to block all three lines but that top line they're going to have some momentum with those for fast forwards on the top and yep here we go the 38 alongside the 22 and there's not a lot of organization actually at the top of the line meanwhile you got Jo leano and Ryan blay who are very fast and working very well together on the bottom and oh there's the connection big push from the 34 to the 38 38 up alongside Joey Lano 38 going right against the fence trying to stay as far away from the uh potential side draft run off the corner is usually where you would expect to get some speed off the top line and Jo gone easily leads at the line that time by all right there we go and we are just chilling out here hopefully everybody's having a good time but uh yeah this has been a pretty good race so far I mean 20 laps in and I don't feel like we've had a dull moment yet and here we go Todd Gill into the race lead after a big push from from his teammate McDow and kazlowski and who that behind them cnri Austin cnri the fourth Ford in line there getting a nice big push getting Todd Gillan out to the lead Gillan leading a lot of laps especially at these uh Super Speedway drafting tracks the Daytona 500 Atlanta especially where he led a lot of laps believe he even won a stage at Atlanta if I'm not mistaken but here we go making a lot of progress here on that Top Line it's going to be a curious thing to see what ends up up happening and let's see again just kind of looking for that where is that next burst of momentum going to come from the five into the back bumper of the 12 the 12 into the 22's back bumper and yep there goes Joey Lano off like a rocket here going to try and take the lead back from the front row Motorsports boys on the top and uh yeah they're doing a pretty good job of trying to make this happen but the run off the corner to the Fords and that is going to clear Michael McDow and Todd Gill they're both clear on the top line I think that the smart money here is just to let the Top Line become the superior line and just continue to lead it because if you can force the uh the racing line to the top of the racetrack and get them to go single file potentially but unfortunately that does not actually seem to be a a thing that is overly possible here tonight normally that would be the strategy would be to try and get the uh Topline single file but so far nobody seems to be wanting to cooperate with that tonight so here we go Joey Lano gets a push from the bottom line back out to the front for Joey Lano as he tries to make a block on his former teammate Brad gzowski as that middle line has started to surge as well and the top line starting to die out a little bit with the bunch of guys dropping from the top line to the middle line here and there we go let's see it's a Joe leano versus Brad gazowy fight for the lead Joe leano has the spot now blay and kazlowski fighting for second kazlowski to the top of the track going to try and block and get the run from the 38 here 38 gives a nice solid push not really anything for uh cuz last year really do with he tried to go down to side draft but that just didn't really work out too too well for him now the middle Line's coming to him with a little bit of momentum maybe that'll be enough to try and turn the tides here but I'm unsure as to how that'll work the big thing is that this has been the most even I think I've ever seen a pack race I mean no matter who is kind of leading what lines there's always seems to be a ton of momentum coming from behind and I know that to an extent is the goal but but it does not feel like that's very often the uh result it usually takes a lot of effort to actually get to this point 12 laps to go here in the uh first stage of the Daytona of the uh c0400 here and we are actually doing some we're making some pretty good progress here all right let me go ahead and check the leaderboard again here and there goes the front row Motorsports boys have been able to clear themselves out ahead of the uh field now kazasi back to the inside of Michael McDow for second goes to side draft and that might introduce Joey Lano in the bottom line back into this battle but looks like they run off the top at least for now those two front row Motorsports boys doing a lot of work here the problem is that both of these guys really need the playoff points for the playoff if they get there and if they aren't going to get there well the reason they wouldn't get there is probably because the other their other teammate won this race I don't see a path where they both make it to the playoffs this year all right so there we go yeah NASCAR nonstop tons of shuffling throughout the field and there's no uh there's no uh points there for me to go ahead and grab on the uh for the points as they run because that would be the other thing that would be nice to see would be potentially being able to track points as they run and here we go Brad kazlowski all on his own on the bottom where did where did Michael mcdal oh mcdow's the third car now on the inside line uh cnri was able to pop out of line and leap from frog passed Michael McDow now cnri trying to pop out of line going to try and Leap Frog for the lead and there we go cnri out in front of the field at Daytona and say syri the first ever winner in the next gen cars at Daytona when he won the Daytona 500 race here yeah here back in 2022 and now he leads the field once again and the uh question is can he be the first driver to go back uh to go win two races in the next gen at Daytona all right here we go big push here Jo Josh Barry getting back out and ahead in a massive run from that inside line again these runs are just coming out of completely nowhere here and yeah Josh Barry from the bottom line uh actually Josh Barry got the push directly from lagano to the front of the field came up in front of uh of uh of keslowski to try and block both lanes now we got William Byron trying to make something happen eight laps to go in this stage we're getting down to the end of the stage and these drivers are going to be fighting for every point they can get because uh points matter and let's see what's it going to end up being down to the bottom the four car the four and the 22 definitely seem to have a lot of uh Power on that bottom line but the four keeps going up to the middle to try and take that momentum away try and get the momentum when he sees the uh six carar having it or more specifically when his spotter sees him having it and now oh there's Chris busher the mix we haven't talked much about Chris busher but as a part of that uh at a part of as a part of that battle for the cut line you got Chris busher and Bubba Wallace who are running right now notic the tail in the middle line all right there we go we're going to be through uh stage one here in just about six laps six laps away for the end of stage number one and we are going to have to wait and see how this is going to play out it is a certainly an exciting race so far and I can't imagine what more we're going to end up seeing out of these guys I just can't believe how far mikae McDow Gillan got cycled back and oh Josh Barry drops Like a Rock right in front of the middle line not really sure what happened there and I say drops like a rock that was more so their momentum getting stuffed there uh Josh Barry still alongside the battle for second but that entire Middle Line looked like they were about ready to take control and potentially take over the bottom line but uh yeah now they are just kind of mired in the middle there now the now the six of kazlowski comes down to try and Lead Josh Barry again right now kazlowski legano these guys they're fighting for this one honestly if I'm one of if I'm one of those uh front R motor sports guys or someone further back in the pack I'm planning a pit stop here the front row Motorsports guys are trapped on that Top Line okay let's see if I'm say Chase Elliott or Alex Bowman a little further back here those are the guys I would be expecting to maybe start planning a pit stop here as we get less and less laps to go in this stage and they have next to no chance of actually earning that playoff point I think those would be the kinds of guys you might see that uh maybe not Chase Elliot because Elliott needs to try and fight for any points he can get and he's not far enough back that I think points are still a possibility for him although I think it's a very slim possibility at this point and again I still think the right move for Elliot would be to plant a pit stop with his uh Hendrick Motorsports teammate there you take that pit stop you cycle back to to the lead here in a bit all right let's see four laps to go four laps to go and let's see it's joeo it's Brad kazlowski out in front of the field Josh Barry all the way to the top of the racetrack getting in front of that Top Line and again continuing to just stifle that Top Line that Top Line has had no real uh momentum behind it for the last H three four laps here meanwhile Joe theano tries to get a push here from his teammate Ryan blay those two working very well together Ros Chastain way in the back of the pack looking at the looking over at the playoff bubble that they decide to put up there yeah but yeah right now though this battle for the lead legano versus kazlowski and it looks like kazlowski might even lose out on second place to blay at this point if blay decides to start moving up off the bottom of the racetrack two laps to go here two more times around and let's see what on Earth can Kyle Bush end up doing here K riding on board with Kyle bus showing him in that bottom line but there's a bit of an air pocket just ahead of him he might be able to find some Running Room here but again he's so far back in points points don't really matter to him the push from the 12 to the 22 Joey Lano clears himself out ahead of the field yeah and here we go a lap and a half to go here in stage number one you've got yeah Ryan Blain versus Brad kazlowski fighting it out for second here and you've got Kyle Larson in entering the mix here Kyle arson we have not mentioned his name up until this point today but and here comes the top line with Josh Barry soaring back on it three wide for the race lead Josh Barry putting himself on the outside line here and I have a bad feeling somebody's going to get crashed here with how aggressive they're running Chris buer needing those points Chris busher to Second Chris busher just shoved R uh not Ryan priest but uh Josh Barry all the way out to the lead and now he's side drafting for the life of him trying to hold the uh the 22 back as he gets a push from the two and Josh Barry is going to win stage number one here from the drivers and they make it three wide across the line Joey Lano second place in the stage Chris busher came across the line third syndric fourth Ryan blay fifth the the front row boys managed to get second uh Sixth and eighth respectively as well as they come to the end of that stage but man there was just so much chaos coming down the end of that stage and we were never really short of action and now we'll get a full screen commercial break as we are under caution for the end of stage number one all right there we go just recording recorded that for a potential clip going to try and use uh stream highlights uh for uh YouTube shorts a little bit more frequently considering over on my gaming channel I've been utilizing uh shorts a lot more and yeah the YouTube shorts are just uh have just been completely overpowered and I had to I had kind of ignored them by choice or tried to ignore them by choice because I'm not the biggest fan of the vertical format from shorts but at this point I just can't deny how good they work with the algorithm so all right let's see all right let's see all right so yeah we're just chilling here again just kind of waiting for the uh yeah for NASCAR's app to start just working like come on Race Center no it's just not going to work all right I'm gonna go ahead and just Google working so theoretically I mean I could use that and get the uh top seven or eight at least as a fix and honestly that might actually be might work just that little bit better let just going quickly take a peek at my fantasy roster even though I'm sure I know how this is going to look hey I'm actually in first wow I was not expecting that Joey lagano dropping all the way to 28th here as they are doing pit stops at 12.6 second pit stop that's not terrible gets out ahead of his teammate syri who got a 12 second stop 124 for Chris busher as they come out off Pit Road and Joe Lana wins the race off Pit Road okay not sure why he was a shown that far back down the field everybody gaining uh stop spots here lson and Chast a gaining five spots each and the front R motorsports guys losing two and three laps respectively all right let's see maybe if we can't get oh wait we might have something here nope all right what about NASCAR let's see does that still have the full leaderboard okay yeah that has a leaderboard it doesn't have names it doesn't have time behind but it might be as good as we're going to get let me go ahead and uh pull this up real quick guys again I apologize for changing things around so much but we might actually have something that might work better so all right we only really care about that top 10 although I would love to maybe get a few extra spots if I can I can get top 15 come on all right there we go so leaving it just like this I'm going to go ahead and leave the uh bar at the top for now just because in case this other thing doesn't work rather have something than nothing but I actually have some confidence in this other thing and the numbers beside them won't be the time behind it'll be the uh it'll be the uh like the odds to win the race from the entering Point all right so there we go there's your top 15 and now let's go ahead and see if we can try and grab the other part of this there we go the flag condition and oh whoa whoa whoa whoa the N 99 is on fire and uh the 99 is going to be out of this race yep there goes uh say Suarez out of the car and I did not see that coming that while they were away at commercial break uh the 99 just exploded in Flames that is not good good glad to see him out the car and glad to see he's hopefully okay but man that car is completely toast all right let's keep working on this only really need that data there to go ahead and put at the top of the screen there we go and all right there we go now I'm going to just hide this one rather than actually uh getting rid of it entirely all right and there we go we now have that and let's go ahead and try and highlight or see if we can high oh no don't want to scroll down all right let's see trying to figure out exactly there we go that's right around where we had it D say the uh 407 coming down Pit Road there but uh yeah that fire really came out of completely nowhere all right there we go we at least have a leaderboard we can make we can work with a little bit can't go ahead and do the in car camera stuff because one my computer is nowhere near beefy enough to uh run that video feed consistently well while streaming but also the copyrght concerns there all right so it's going to be B uh legano busher synr the top three as they get ready to restart so the question is does busher select to go behind Joe legano or does he opt to go yeah behind order the op to take the front row and allow the two pensies to line up nose to tail because allowing Joe Lano and and cnri to line up nose to tail could be very deadly to the uh rest of the field I mean so much of this would just be a whole lot easier if it would just if the uh thing would just just work but yep there we go all right let's see back from commercial break and we should be looking for choose cone and the restart here soon or potentially they already did the choose cone under the commercial break but I would hope that we might not do that dur commercials but I also don't make it the rules here so let's see all right so what happened all right so a ton of all right let's see watching this replay here trying to see what ends up happening the 11 gets blocked in oh so something ignited from ignited the F on the racetrack there nearly blew up uh um nearly blew up uh Hamlin's car too that would have been really unfortunate there here we go green green flags out we are back to racing and yep busher opted to start on the inside the front row rather than starting behind legano there all right so there we go but yeah that was insanely bad luck with the uh fact that that fire started that way so here we go oh back down to double file we've got a little bit more tame over race for now although those front Motorsports boys along with h Ryan blay back there could potentially pop out to a third line yeah here in the early parts that's about the same spot that uh syndric was in when he developed the third line originally on the first uh restart here so now we got Chastain in the mix here busher way up the field in fact busher might take the lead here in a moment as they're going to go ahead and talk with Suarez who is out of the car and yeah just complete fluke action he isn't going to have a clue what happened probably unless he's seen the replay which he's had some time maybe he has seen the replay as to what started the fire but it is really weird to see the three guys fighting for the final playoff spot all running basically nose to tail on the inside line together got busher Chastain and Bubba all on that inside line working together and that third lane is starting to form and they're starting to gather some speed they've gotten to the outside of blay and there goes the two front room Motorsports guys as I predicted the F the front room Motorsports guys to the top Kyle ARS in the middle of the racetrack still and that's going to allow yep there goes uh blay cnri and the uh and Josh Barry all up to the top to try and take that momentum away from that Top Line you to either ride that momentum forward or to stop the momentum and potentially uh level this back out and there we go CH Dan starting to pop out of line on on his uh playoff on his uh playoff rival there with Chris busher again I was kind of surprised they were working together in any way shape or form at this point but yeah especially at this point so here we go you got the two Pensky cars all the way at the top of the track then you got the Stewart hos Ford of Jo of Josh Barry then you got the two front rot sports cars that's five Fords line right nose to tail nose to tail here and right now busher is doing everything humanly possible to try and stay close he's got the inside Lane so he's got the shorter way around the racetrack he's jumping up on at the end of each Corner he's jumping up to try and side draft and oh Bubba Wallace leaves him out to try and Bubba Wallace gets a push from Chastain and that's going to put Bubba right side by side potentially going to take the spot here and let's see Bubba Wallace as he takes the lead and that puts Chastain now out of the playoffs by 18 points over t under Tai Gibbs and again those points fluctuating a ton but if Bubba wins this race that is going to be a big one here for him to go and do that but here comes the run of the momentum and now the 17 is out in front of the field and has a shot to lead this thing so now the 17 and not the 17 to busher getting help from his teammate Brad kazlowski has a push but that top line still has some pretty good organization and running speed here and let's see yep that's going to push bubble Wallace back out to the lead here and let's see again right now right now the entire field is uh pretty much fighting it out trying to get to this uh three wide although at the front it is still only two wide in the first five six positions but uh yeah right now though busher and the fact that busher and Butler are fighting for this uh playoff spot in addition to fighting it out for the uh in addition to fighting it out for the race lead here yeah it just makes this battle even more intense and these two drivers absolutely neither one of them can afford a crash right now yet they're both driving right at the front of the field and while the front of the field is usually fairly safe we've seen leaders uh wreck out of out of the race here before and let's see what's it going to be you got a run starting to try and build on the very bottom of the racetrack I don't know how much that's going to end up developing we'll have to wait and see but uh that push again that push from the two teammates there busher and kazasi kazow is just able to give a massive shove to the 17 and the fact that the six doesn't really need the uh race win because he's already locked into the uh playoffs on points he can basically do everything in his power to try and help the 17 win especially because Brad isas is the team owner too he actually gets a decent chunk of change to get for getting both drivers into the playoffs yeah more so than a normal driver trying to get a teammate into the playoffs there you go nice big push from the top line and and the Pensky machine of Joey lagano but Brisco All the Way Up on the inside line that inside line that I was talking about It ultimately developed and Brisco takes the lead here for the moment and Bubba leads at the line but Brisco Daniel hammer on that inside line Austin Hill Austin Hill Cory Joy all made that move very possible and made a big run all right there we go all right let's see again right now we got a battle between Brisco Brisco needing the one to get into the playoffs yeah Bubba wall is absolutely not wanting to let him win to get into the playoffs because obviously if he wins that one takes a potential playoff spot away from Bubba Wallace but I believe that would also move him from inside the playoffs currently to outside the playoff cutline so I think if Bubba if Bubba isn't GNA win he wants a rep winner more than anything again assuming that he isn't going to win it himself all right let's see and right now we're just chilling out here for a moment while these uh drivers are collecting themselves it is a two and three wide battle here further back in the pack let's see all right let's see again right now it's actually working out pretty well it's been a pretty good battle here hopefully everybody is enjoying it so far 17 laps into stage two stage two being a 60 laap stage is long I didn't realize just how long the second stage was going to be but there we go coming down the uh yeah and there we go they go uh going into a commercial break it is a side by-side commercial I'm just waiting for that first crash to uh appear and the way these guys are driving I wouldn't be shocked if it happens here soon all right uh real quick we're just going to go ahead and duplicate that and there is one thing specifically I want to get out of this I want to go ahead and boom there we go that I think that actually works out very well all right so there we go 40 43 laps to go in stage number two all right let's see Josh Barry Chastain lson McDow up into the top 10 still so they're continuing to stay close they're going to hang out just close enough to hopefully uh be able to actually make something happen all right there we go say busher to the lead here after a big side draft on Bubble walls and again these guys are fighting it out hard but I just am struggl will to see what is going to end up happening here I mean it's only two lines right now there is no third lane developed as of right now bu W back on the top side Bubba back to the race lead and again right now the biggest thing for Michael McDow is that he and the 38 are just stuck in that Top Line and they're just running single file again we're starting to get into the window maybe of green flag stops here I say if I'm a team that's struggling here and needs uh points specifically for uh stages this would be the kind of uh thing I'd be looking for would be an opportunity to try and get the uh stage Victory there so if I'm unfortunately all the guys who really need them I guess if I'm Tai Gibbs because we really haven't talked about Tai Gibbs much today he is current L 16th Place on the uh grid if I'm Tai Gibbs I'm trying to find some people to uh work out a deal to come to Pit Road early and basically try and cycle to the lead of the race because uh yeah ultimately the big thing for Ty Gibbs is that he's stuck he's been irrelevant most of the uh day thus far and because he's been stuck there meanwhile all of his uh all the guys he's racing in and around for uh for the final spots in the playoffs are uh currently first second and about sixth based on where they're running uh might be seventh right now seventh right now for Chastain but uh yeah so all three of them though are up there earning stage points and if they finish there they'll be earning a ton of regular points as well and that will put again that should that might end up putting uh Tai Gibbs into a little bit of a question mark here but it's also a question mark As to okay is there any way we actually get to the end of this uh stage or the end of this race without a a further wreck here Ty Gibbs has dropped down to the oh wait no never mind that's cuz Bubba's out leading the race I going to say t gives fall into the last spot in the playoffs all right here we go let's see Brisco uh jumped up a ton of points there he's up to 19th in the uh standings curious to see if he ends up holding on to that one all right let's see oh there's t boy at the uh American Ninja Warriors there we go that's pretty cool getting to see a little bit of a cross over there I looked away from the screen for a second to try and see if I can fix the uh thing and oh we got a caution caution on the racetrack what's the caution going to be before let's go ahead and see is it going to be front row boys oh yep there's a big crash big one right behind the leaders Kyle Larson involved Ty Gibbs involved uh 43 looking for other car numbers there are a lot of cars involved number 10 of Gregson the seven of lejoy the 19 of mtj is involved and yeah uh looks like maybe Alex Bowman got a piece of it as well there was a lot of cars involved might be quicker to name the cars who didn't get involved and yeah that is going to be a massive crash there all right there we go let's see Denny Hamlin with significant damage after the uh penalty he received earlier in the weekend which essentially eliminated him from regular season Championship contention and I don't even really it's hard to say that that was even anyone's fault at least at first glance I mean just looked like again these cars have been Twitchy all day a push uh actually I guess the push from the Celsius car which I believe is either hemorr I believe that's hemorr gave a push to no gson gron got squirrly and it took out a bunch but uh yeah that is a lot of cars torn up there oh no know that was uh corla Joy was the Celsius car tonight say and okay so the other car involved there was uh was um the 15 of uh um oh what's his name or not the 15 the 51 of uh or was that the 15 or the 51 it's hard to even tell sometimes when the teams run similar paint schemes but yeah one of the Rick wear cars was the other car involved there I believe it was the 15 of uh so we're at a full screen commercial break as we got a uh as we got the uh as we got the uh Whatchamacallit the um break due to the uh Comm uh due to the big wreck just trying to I will probably fiddle with this thing forever trying to get this thing uh to where I consider it perfect but but uh yeah that that's going to be the big caution that 1.9 second pit stop there for Chris busher all these drivers gaining just fuel nobody taking tires here I don't know again I'd be worried taking going absolutely no tires here I would think you'd want dodging this one uh think yeah he does make it through yeah I don't know how he does it but he he uh emerges from the smoke and with what looks like very little damage just kind of watching every currently uh still working to fix that one ah Bowman's car actually looks fairly un undamaged compared to the rest of them on the uh Pit Road all right let's see so here we go just riding on board and Y just a slightly unsquare push on the back bumper of for La Joy I mean it's something we saw we saw what's his name Ricky stenis Jr get in trouble a couple years a I say a couple years ago back in 2018 nearly uh six years ago for doing the same thing at uh Daytona just giving that push on the wrong corner of the car and it leads to Big wrecks like these all right there we go so yeah big crash uh currently still being cleaned up they've done pit stops now we're just kind of waiting to see what the uh what The Field's going to look like on the uh when they resume the race looks like the uh front R motorsports boys took no tires as well as most of the field so definitely curious to see how that goes we got 3834 lining up and yep they are lined up nose to tail on the inside line let's go busher currently leader that would put yeah that puts Chastain as the guy first guy on the outside looking in 34 points out on the verge of being mathematically eliminated um barring a or being forced into a win in your in being mathematically eliminated from being able to point his way in if uh the race were to end right now now obviously busher uh being second I don't know what that would change I'd have to see what the numbers look like but the biggest thing being chass a being involved in the caution uh puts him way behind the eightball here so yep so rajain Austin Dylan Kyle Larson Cory Joy Chase Elliott Noah Gregson Benny Hamlin Ryan blay Martin trick Jr all involved on that on that crash and I guarantee there's a second page yep William Byron Daniel hem Austin Hill Ryan priest John Hunter n Eric Jones Tyler reick Alex Bowman and Tai Gibbs also involved and here we go pace car is going down to the bottom and a lot of people choosing that outside line it's that's a weird one seeing almost no inside line Beyond about the top 12 13 drivers on the inside line everybody else just opted to start in the outside Lane which again just seems weird but honestly it's actually the it's actually kind of the uh whole purpose of the uh two lane thing was of the two lanes was to try and uh promote this and in particular with the choose cone promoting that hey if the top line is just that much better just go ahead and run in it all right so yeah again right now we're just chilling out here Austin Dyan and Austin Hill don't seem to be too greatly affected by the caution or by the damage that they received from being part of that caution but H yeah there's a significant reduction though in that front half the field here yeah and that reduction in field is going to make it a lot easier for the leaders to keep the lead and for the uh making it a lot harder for these drivers trying to close in from behind but here we go let's see once the uh second pack of cars here re uh re catches the front pack we're gonna have a pretty big battle going on there we go yep everybody getting into the line let's see what's going to end up happening again single file does not seem like the way things are going to stay for too long if we uh just let it be all right let's see again right now just kind of chilling out hopefully everybody is enjoying this one so busher out in front Lano to Second and again I think the first side by side for position is what position let's see no no side by side there no no no first side by side battle for position is the and I can't even tell what car that is but uh yeah it looks like the top TW uh the top 15 or so are all single file and now it's going to be a matter of okay how do you make a pass when the field is single filed out and against the fence here cuz that's kind of what I said that I wanted to see maybe the front row Motorsports guys try and do earlier but then they just ended up being non-stop momentum from the bottom line and now the bottom line is pretty well died out do we potentially see something happen here do we see a combination of maybe a driver uh coming to pit yeah or not coming to Pit Road but coming down to the bottom to try and make use of some tires they got all right let's see there we go so SVG up into the cup say he's up the cup series full-time next year he's going to be taking part in I believe seven of the remaining 12 races on the season including this race here tonight which he is running inside the top 10 so theoretically he could potentially be in contention for a top 10 maybe even a win at at the end of the night here uh all you got to remember is trying to stay out of the racks all right so here we go let's see they're talking with Danny Hamlin who just came out of the infield Car Center and I don't have subtitles on I normally try and have subtitles on but uh yeah come on all right so go to a side by side Comm commercial break and here we go Eric Jones leading a charge on the bottom of the racetrack here going to try and uh see what they can do all right let's see all right let's see here we go now we got side by side all the way to the front of the field and we got a pass for the lead who is that who just took the lead is that Bubba yeah bubble Wallace taking the lead But Here Comes the uh oh here come the front R motorsports boys let's go 38 of Todd Gill and the 34 of Michael McDow these two have stuck pretty much right to each other's front and rear bumpers all evening long so far and as of right now the 34 and the 38 have managed to make it work they up inside the top five and they are going to be pressuring the back bumper of the uh 23 car to try and take that lead again they don't really care about the stage finish too much comparatively all right let's see again right now we're just kind of waiting to see what ends up happening oh popping out of line there goes yeah there goes the 38 trying to take the lead yep and it's going to work the number 38 Todd Gillan jumps to the race lead leaving his teammate Michael Michael McDow to fend for himself for a for at least a little bit I'm sure he would love to have taken Michael mdow with him but yeah to a massive push to the uh five of Kyle Larsson in fact he's a he's in a little bit of a Kyle sandwich there because he's got Kyle lson on his front bumper and Kyle bus on his rear bumper but then Kyle Busch is kind of in the middle of a sandwich too because he's got both front row cars on his front and rear bumpers oh whoa big slide oh that was a big move syri is lucky to still be safe there gets slid out of line but uh yeah s Austin syri slides all the way back he's trying to find a place to get in line tries to cut in front of the 51 I don't think the 51 wants to be involved in any more cautions Here and Now syri finds a uh finds it help in the form of the 15 car who was willing to let him in line all right let's see so yeah that was definitely sketchy there but luckily no spin no caution flag which means we get to see this race continue on 17 laps to go and it definitely could be an interesting finish here but uh yeah let's see Kyle arson to the lead of the race got Joe Lano on his inside row two you've got the uh Pensky of Ryan blay and the 38 of Todd Gillan behind Gillan you've got you got Kyle Bush and then the other uh front R motorsports car there in fourth place in line all right let's see again right now we're just kind of making this one work and see Kyle arson legano blay oh here we go all right see yeah right now it's the Pensky on the bottom versus the rag tag team of split up teammates on the top line got Chevy Ford Chevy Ford but the two Fords that I mentioned in second and fourth on the top line being the two front sports cars all right let's see there we go they're going to a another side by-side commercial break as they are side by side for the race lead here again Larson versus Lego for the lead is definitely an interesting combo here can't wait to see what ends up happening and oh uh oh Eric Jones is slowing against the fence he may have a tire down and oh motor explosion in the back it looks like somebody blew a motor in the back and there is a ton and we are under caution flag here I got to know what on Earth happened the oh it's the 16 of Shane gurgen who's lost the motor he's got a ton of fire underneath the car almost looking like potentially uh it's backfiring or something but we'll have to wait and see what ends up happening there but man that was uh chaotic all right let's see going to try toning down the uh mic because see there goes the 43s tire goes down yeah no idea that was two very those were two separate incidents but so strange how it worked because they both happened on the same straightaway and it almost seems like they should have been connected but I can't for the life of me find any real way that one connects to the other and SVG is out of his car but yeah outside of happening at the on the same straightaway of the same lap can't for the life of me find anything that happened within uh when you had uh Jones's Tire go down that would cause the motor explosion of the 16 that is just a really weird combo there all right let's see so yeah no uh Saturday night Skirmish tournament uh Pokemon tournament for me tonight so yeah gonna be coming up with something else to go on the gaming channel next week which if you guys don't know I started up a gaming channel where I've been uploading basically one video a week along with some shorts uh over there for about a month now basically at the start of August I started uploading over there and uh yeah link to that is in the description so if you guys like Pokemon content that's where I'm that's the main game I play so that's what's going to be being played there I'm part of a group that we do uh weekly tournaments and been making those into videos recently and then just whatever other gaming videos I decided to end up making all right that looks to be let try putting that one under there there we go I think that should balance that out a little bit all right so yeah the uh again these uh front R motorsports cars have actually done pretty well for themselves here for all right there we go so yeah right now we're just kind of chilling out watching this motor explosion again and again but again I can't okay I mean the only thing I can maybe make sense of is that when his tire went down that started sending some kind of micro or very small debris that we just don't notice or can't see that went in there and punctured something on the 16 car leading to the explosion I mean because there has to be some kind of connection right I can't just possibly have had a random explosion same straightaway there all right so there we go torch the and now they are under the caution flag here for for cleaning it all up gives Chine and his crew a chance to try and go and fix some of their damage the biggest thing is just trying to make sure that you don't uh end up uh falling a lot down if you can if you think you're still competitive especially for the win they go to a commercial break I'm going to run a quick ad and I'm going to laps to go it's going to be a very short one to The Checkered Flag here the question is how short and can they manage to hold on for just the remaining two laps here or not two laps sorry seven laps Honestly though as long as they can make it through these first two I think we'll be good to make it the remainder of the way but uh yeah right now though these two lines they're going to be aggressively pushing as hard as they can got the two front R motorsports cars on the inside line separated by the number eight of Kyle bus and oh there we go bubble wall is starting to potentially look to maybe move up to the top line to see if he can get po past Chris busher here which Chris busher has been earning a ton of points today and yeah it is just an absolute Stack Up and oh we got somebody sliding to the outside maybe trying to make a third lane maybe just out of control trying to hang onto the car but that bottom line seems to be proving to be the uh Superior line by far here yeah KY Larson theoretically could move up the track to try and block this run from Lano that's coming but no doesn't go for it loo gets back to side by side and loo can try and start side draft in the five but the five getting a nice big push here into the turn and that's going to be a nice big push again Larson potentially could try and move up the track but I don't know if he'd be able to get up there right now with how he is he theoretically is clear but with the time lost in trying to move up the track at that point I think he would have uh wrecked himself trying to block oh and we got the 38 of Todd Gillan trying to move up to the Top Line uh looks like he may be stuck in the middle it's hard to really tell because uh the the middle and the third line both only both kind of diverge there so it's hard to really tell who the uh Superior line of those two is going to be and here comes Bubba Wallace and Tyler reck on the tops side all right so here we go let's see five laps to go in stage number two lson trying to make something happen there a Larson out in front right now he's got all the room behind him and then you've got the say looking around you got the uh yep there we go somebody trying to move up the track I believe that's the yes yeah there we go that's the six of kazasi moving up to the middle line in front of Joy legano basically trying to keep lano's rear bumper or Lano on his rear bumper here but the 17 of of uh Bush are going to give a massive push here and that 17 giving that massive push is going to keep the five in contention for this uh stage win and it is such a close fight here for the uh points got two more fantasy rosters I want to check real quick but here we go Brad kazlowski challenging Larson for the spot the five and the six car fighting it out for spot number one here we go down the back straightway three laps to go three more no oh Oh I thought it was somebody sliding but no that was just syri deciding that he needed to jump to the bottom line right away which is always sketchy there all right there we go here we go two laps to go Brad kazlowski Kyle Larson side by side as they take two laps to go lot of moving and shaking here curious to see what's going to end up happening again two laps to go here you again you've got so much Ford power in and around this top group I think larsson's gonna potentially might end up being the uh odd one out just because he doesn't have a Chevy behind him to help push and there we go yep those three Fords on the top line the two pensys of Ryan blay and Joey Lano helping push the former Pensky driver their former teammate there brag kazlowski out to the race lead and now kazlowski goes down to the bottom to try and block uh block the five of Larson and not able to get back up in front of Joey Lano loano taking the lead here as they take the white flag that surge on the top line going to allow Todd Gillan to earn some good stage points here unfortunately Michael McDow did not follow his teammate in this situation or wasn't able to follow his teammate in this situation and that top line starting to absolutely drive away with this one coming down the back straight away for the final time in stage number two you's got the two Pensky cars and they are almost certainly going to just work together to have a nice calm quiet end of the stage but Brad kazlowski to the outside he does not want a nice calm quiet end of the stage up to the top goes legano trying to block to the bottom goes blay it's going to be legano with the stage win Ryan blay second BR is lasi third Kyle lson comes home fourth fifth is Todd Gillan six Justin Haley seventh Kyle bus eighth Byron and man that was a chaotic end of that stage and uh yeah let's just say that uh yeah the uh stage there was no was uh absolutely crazy there but uh let's go ahead and see if I have any time left to change that last H fantasy lineup I'm anticipating I am probably out of time but I am going to make an attempt here nobody dnfed out of it so let's see nope H nope was not able to get there and legano is in the garage on that one oh well legano the way he's driving he may end up wrecking himself anyway oh we at this point for him because winning is uh the only cure for uh for that one fuel only stop for the uh 31 and the 31 gets a penalty for on Pit Road so he'll be starting tail into the field kazasi coming down for a second pit stop being instructed to save as much fuel as humanly possible here all right there we go Michael McDow getting some fuel let's see yep uh fuel only for the 38 as well of Todd Gill Todd Gill into the rear of the field for crew member over the wall too soon on a fuel stop where the guy with the fuel doesn't even have to okay one second so you had a fuel only stop and your fueler can be over the pit wall before before anybody else who was over the who was over the wall too soon like what else were you doing on your fuel only pit stop that you had to guy over the wall too early curious to see that one all right there's a Denny hamling thing I'll have to go ahead and look at later but yeah that penalty is going to be a nightmare for the 32 or for the 30 but hopefully he can get back up there let's see so re's now up 23 points over ear Larson uh for the regular season championship Chase Elliot who wrecked out of this race uh definitely provided a bit of a bubble here for the uh for that one and now we got Michael mcdal and Josh Barry on the front row for the restart and this is going to be an interesting one pace car pulls off the uh racing surface but yeah there's a lot of uh situations here and going uh showing the onboard here of and Benes uh who should not be back at the track yet but NASCAR peels pel decided to uh resend part of his penalty uh to basically knock his P the spotter's penalty down for saying wreck him wreck him to from uh three races to one after it was already after he already served it at uh the Michigan race and now we got Michael McDow Kyle Bush out in front of the field let's go Zane Smith though right there that mix coincidentally he's my uh he was my race pick uh on the podcast mainly because I decided that the most reliable way to pick a winner here was to use a random number generator until I got a number that's actually a car number in the field I got 64 a lot of the I got the I got car number 64 a lot when I was randomly spinning that thing trying to get a actual pickable car number but yeah with Michael McDow leading right now that puts bubble Wallace and Chastain out and busher is in only by 20 points which is a very narrow margin here and obviously Michael McDow leading changes a lot of those things there it shifts EV a lot of stuff about the cutline but yeah Justin Haley Josh Barry in uh in second and third there honestly aside from cnri literally aside from cnri everybody in the top 10 would be a new winner for the uh for the sake of the playoffs Austin Dylan has his win but that win was encumbered and will not count towards the playoffs yeah so legitimately nine out of the 10 drivers inside the top 10 right now all need to win to make the playoffs and right now though Mike McDow is leading that whole bunch let's see so again McDow Haley Barry here these three should be able to control the front of the field if they just don't fight and actually work together to basically try and yep there we go try and create the single file train especially if it's a fuel mileage thing you kind of want to let McDow lead so that he runs out of gas first especially if the uh if it's true that the Fords has so much a much harder time saving fuel than the uh Chevys and Toyotas which I'm still not convinced that that's accurate but it very well could be so there we go they got college football coming back now which college football actually started off today with a game between Florida State and uh Georgia Tech which Georgia Tech ended up winning I believe either in overtime or with a late game field goal but uh yeah ultimately that put the game Out Of Reach for the uh Florida seminal and the team that went undefeated last year yet missed the playoffs starts their season off with a loss here which isn't overly surprising they lost their quarterback you until the draft but yep so that's enough for college football though and again right now we've just got the front four or five cars basically just trying to run in this line trying to avoid Iraq oh man yeah sorry if I'm yawning a bit more than I usually do during these uh races I do not I'm on about three three and a half hours of sleep so here we go all right here we go bubble Wallace in the there's a group forming on the bottom line bubble Wallace Kyle lson oh no sorry that's not bubble wall That's John Hunter neim on the front of that pushing line all right so it's those two then you got Daniel hamr in behind them not even sure who's in behind him trying to see car numbers if I can to try and be able to call him out but yeah as of right now again we gotel a pretty good race going here we've had we've had our our absolutely chaotic start we've had our two stage finishes now we got a 54 lap run to the Checker where every Point's going to matter and all these drivers are doing is just saving the fuel right now all right let's see so a total of 40 cars are in the race and let's see all right let's see all right let's see again right now John rem's actually getting some decent pushes here from that inside line and oh there's the 22 oano in behind them and the front two drivers starting to move down the track and going to uh basically block that inside line and try and take that momentum for themselves then they go up and take the Top Line away on Corner exit trying to work both lanes as best they can which as of right now I would say working both Lan is a major positive all right let's see and there we go Justin Haley down to the bottom of the racetrack he's trying everything he can to try and uh get by Michael McDow right now and McDow trying to do everything he can to hang on to this lead all right let's see again right now they're showing wins at Daytona for drivers that are uh not locked in and and uh the only two really on that list with more than one is Stenhouse of two after he won his Dayton 500 and that Daytona summer race seven eight years ago now back in 2017 now we're going to another side by side commercial break this time Michael McDow over Justin Haley is the battle for the race lead John NE into the third position as again they go to commercial break side by side NASCAR nonstop and we are chilling here hopefully you guys are enjoying it if you guys are again hit the like button and subscribe if you guys are new we've been doing these streams all season there is one more race but I think every single driver out here is basically treating this as the last chance to try and race their way into the playoffs I mean especially guys like McDow like yeah Gill and like even Zane Smith here because realistically these guys have not had the uh 1.5 mile speed traditionally to be able to win the southern 500 now someone like Eric Jones who uh had that flat tire earlier he is probably one of the few drivers I think that can that is in a must-win that can kind of sit back and enjoy knowing that hey I've got the uh speed to actually go and win next week potentially all right so yeah right now Stenhouse has the fastest lap of the race all the way back on lap 28 of the race but uh yeah Ricky SN J though running along pretty well here all right so yeah again right now we're just kind of waiting to see what's going to end up happening we have the 38 trying to maybe make a middle line work here as he uh takes the pickle card to the middle line and let's see again right now McDow Haley neek the top three no real changes happening there they're all just kind of hanging back waiting to see what's going to happen sponsorship wise or not sponsorship wise but momentum wise I was looking at the uh at the 15 car and thinking yep that car needs some sponsorship but there we go let's see the number 20 here in the interstate batteries colors making his way through the field all right and again 46 laps to go 45 to go here I think at some point starting somewhere around two three laps from now I think that will open up the uh pit window to officially actually make it to the end of the race so I think uh you're McDow if you're one of well maybe not McDow considering he was at the lead of the overall race but if you're someone like Zane Smith who's in the back who we haven't really talked about much today outside of him being my pick for the race with in yeah potentially trying to find a group of cars to maybe try and force a pit stop early so there we go we're just chilling here again 44 laps to go but uh still plenty of time to go here all right right let's see Michael mcdal versus Sten house all the way back in the pack looking at a uh throttle analysis and yep McDow not lifting whatsoever versus Stenhouse who's maintaining almost the same speed if not a little bit faster by going to like half throttle because of the fact that he's in the draft and just kind of being towal long all right let's see and right now the 34 is uh doing a very good job of just maintaining a nice quiet lead and oh that was nearly a big mistake there from the four the four nearly just shoved the 42 up into the fence uh all trying to block for like second or third all right let's see again right now all Michael McDow wants to do at this point is have these last 40 something laps evaporate here and no unnecessary chaos that's all we want is Mike McDow we want we want our Redemption here from the Talladega race in the spring we want a race where we're the where we're leading we're basically the favorite to win the race the entire High final run as we're out in front and then we end up being the driver that runs out of uh yeah our driver just runs out of talent at the very last second but y so here we go so yeah showing off uh Justin Haley's uh one and only day tunel win as uh he is now out leading this race Justin Haley got that race win back in the day for uh the Spire Motorsports team and uh yeah at this point it's not that I don't think that that wi mattered I actually think it matters a lot more now than I did at the time but uh yeah that race wi happened to be a uh one where not only did the uh yellow flag end up by coming out for the rain which later BEC of the red flag for the race but then they also opened Pit Road time they were going back green with one lap to go all right again right now the pit windows open but again I don't know if you're going to be able to convince most of these guys just jump down to Pit Road because while the Pit Road windows open and these teams typically have a lot of data on the pit box so as long as they know what works and what doesn't all right again we're just kind of waiting this one out let's see and there we go Mike McDow looking for the race lead trying to take the spot back from Justin Haley Haley on the top side side can Haley get the spot back yep Haley gets the spot back and now can start to work both lanes again like M on the bottom oh man here we go let's see I'm going to try turning down some of the lights here because they are kind of bright in the face and genuinely they shouldn't make a major difference here on the thing basally just there for M for minor adjustments to the lighting all right so here we go 123 laps in 160 laps of the final distance here but he does have at least 30 starts at Daytona which usually if you have three starts at Daytona that's one maybe two crashes and a solid finish all right again right now we're just kind of waiting this one out both the KY Kyle arts and Kyle Bush are hanging out fourth and fifth and again we're just kind of chilling here all right here we go yeah right now we're just kind of waiting in line here there is a second line forming t uh not Ty Gibbs that's Christopher Bell on the bottom line bubble Wallace on the bottom line so there is a second lane forming here when it comes to Second Lane's actually working though all right there we go the 19 gets his Pit Stop done that's the final pit stop for the 19 but uh yeah unfortunately it appears to be a pit stop alone all right so yeah right now we're just kind of working our way through this one the lap car on the inside line definitely hurting the potential of a third group there we go yep MTG the lap all right let's see again 32 big question these big runs are usually pretty tough to beat right let's see again right now we're just kind of waiting this one out and here we go the uh 51 of Haley came 51 Haley the four of uh Josh Barry both came down to block the inside line and stopped that momentum from taking the lead but now we got a fullon battle for uh position as we now have the outside line trying to establish itself and potentially a third line going to end up forming at some point and again right now we're just kind of waiting this one out 42 of uh of um Dawn Hunter num getting pushed by the five Larson all right so yeah right now they're just working their way through this one uh 26 laps to go it feels it feels like we should be closer to the end than we are because we are still um quite a ways off from uh seeing the checkered flag yet it feels like we should be pretty close to the end here I might go ahead and turn this light back on all right there we go should at least be some light and again we're not trying to turn it all the way down but just trying to dim some of the lights that I would normally be staring into all right so here we go here comes the push from the five and the and the 32 all right right now again they're just working their way through this one looks like mcdal and Gillan have either found each other or they are now side by side for position back there but they are now in 11th and 12th Place all right there we go 24 again 24 laps to go feels like a uh like it should be a short run to the checkers but 24 laps around here especially when there's another guaranteed Pit Stop potentially man this run is just so clogged up with that all right so yeah right now they're just working their way through this one and yeah the 38 is in the middle of three wide wow and hey it's working right there he just passed Michael McDow to get up into the top uh 10 and here we go yeah definitely wish that this race was any other weekend other than this weekend all right again right now we're just kind of it's dead locked in a side by side battle at this point the the 20 or the 42 of neim has gotten to the side of the 51's door but just no progress one way or the other has been made all right again right now we're just kind of waiting this one out and Yeah there just is not much going on again they're just kind of a lot of this run is just kind of waiting this one out n Che inching ahead for a moment then they uh all right let's see again right now we're just working our way through this one Justin Haley or John Hunter n winning this race would be a major upset to the uh points battle similarly Here Comes Kyle Bush on the outside that would be another driver who could drastically change the outcome of this uh race oh no no there it is yep there's the caution we were waiting on yep there goes only one car surprisingly the 42 of neim just cleared himself down ahead of uh ahead of the uh 51 of Haley hopefully Haley's car is okay but I just I got to see that one again I don't know why he did that just pulled right down in front of the uh always was at the time race leader all right here we go okay just trying to block or something and just was not clear again we'll have to wait until we hear from the spotter as to what exactly happened there but uh yeah this is going to uh provide an opportunity for these drivers they're going to pit they're going to be full on fuel and now they'll be able to run it hard to the checkers the final 20 laps let's go we just got set up with an amazing opportunity here for a race to the Checker hopefully you you guys are as excited as I am and in fact you know what let's go ahead and put up a poll give me a second I'm going to go ahead and put up a poll in the chat for all right so there is the poll here for the uh race which one do you guys think do we think we're going to see a driver who who's not in the playoffs win do we think we're going to see a driver already in the playoffs win or do we think a one of the part-timers in the field maybe someone like a a uh Cody wear maybe someone like trying to think of looks like most of the other part-timers might already be out the race so I might not have needed to add them to the uh pole fact let me go ahead and take a look at the uh first off yep I am absolutely crushing you on the fantasy points but in terms of uh part-time drivers who else is still in the race Cody Wear Austin Hill BJ McLoud Parker rlof Joey gase and those are all the ones on the lead lap so I mean there's a decent chunk of drivers that that could be but yeah ultimately I don't I think we're going to end up seeing a I think it's either going to be a driver that's either in the playoffs or currently not in the playoffs that would win an in and honestly the 51 card despite being the kind of the one that got turned across the nose of he actually looks like he's in a decent spot outside of the fact that he lost a half dozen spots I will say uh I wouldn't I wouldn't complain too much if they do opt to give him his spots back CU I mean he did nothing to deserve getting dropped out of that spot but ultimately uh he had it happen anyway and here we go everybody coming down Pit Road final Pit Stop here say I think we're going to see a lot of four tire stops here especially considering how many people took two two tires or just fuel last time so here we go everybody coming down and again four tire stops no we're going to see gas only never mind gas only for some of these guys so they're going to stick with the uh yeah gas only for most of them 2.8 for lson 2.2 cnri 4.2 for Kyle bus and here we go they come off the Pit Road cnri to the top of the board kazlowski lson McDow the top four Kyle B losing four spots on Pit Road with a 4 second pit stop all right there we go all right so Kyle Bush and Michael McDow came in as uh drivers one and two into the pits and now it's going to be cnri leading the field I I certainly hope uh somebody can find a way around syri I don't want to see a second syndric win this year I mean I I genuinely don't hate him or anything but he just especially with the way his first win c yeah his first win this year came about it really felt like it was kind of a gimmick for the most part and if it if he ends up fall falling into it again it's another one of those situations where I just would feel disingenuous all right there we go all right so yeah we are just chilling out here hopefully everybody is having a fantastic day again we've got ourselves a pretty good race going it's just going to be a matter of uh what ends up happening here all right let's see so back from commercial break and we'll hopefully get a chance to see oh close call there on the 78 78 May a did the 78 tag the uh the as he was coming into the pits playoff spot locked up either with a win win being obviously significantly better or just through points and if you can have it solidified going into the next week that you are in the playoffs I think that's really great and here we go green green green green flags out we are back to racing and 16 laps to go here at Daytona the four and the two on the or not the four and the two sorry the six and the two on the front row here the 34 on the inside going to try and give a nice good push here to kazlowski see if those guys and oh lagano on the inside as well gonna try and give a good push here and I say this inside line I think is your absolute freight train here just waiting to go looking at all the cars there I mean you've got keslowski you've got McDow you've got legano you've got oh the restarts under review uh oh I'm not sure what the what is being reviewed on the restart but the restart is under review which means we may be lining it back up and doing it again but uh yeah here we go let's see all right so here we go again just pushing as hard as I can right now again that inside line You' got so many uh drivers there that could theoretically be real contenders for this win and they've been some of the strongest pushers all day I mean blay legano McDow keslowski those four drivers there have have created 90% of the runs on the day have come from one of those four cars all right so yeah trying to see what the uh I guess they're trying to figure out did the six accelerate before the two and I think it's possible that they may be sending the six down Pit Road yeah for a pass through penalty yep restart violation the six the six of Brad kazlowski is getting flagged for a restart violation here um of jumping the restart and that is going to force the six for a pass through penalty which that is going to now potentially put Mikael McDow in the catbird seat here everybody's kind of trying to figure out how they're going to do this in terms of uh letting Brad kazasi get down to Pit Road I think oh br going to stay out on the racetrack while the team argues the case to NASCAR before they just willingly go and give up the spots and then couple minutes later if NASCAR were to rever or try and reverse their decision they wouldn't be able to tell you exactly where he goes as long as he's still there all right but here we go again right now down the back straightaway 13 laps to go right now cnri sri's biggest Edge right now is the fact that the guy in on the lead of the bottom he does he is pretty much not a he's a non-existent car right now so battle for the lead side by side you got cnri you got McDow battling out of the lead yep there goes uh keslowski down to Pit Road so now it's not the metaphorical lead it is the race lead here McDow cnri cnri let line that last time by by 0.3 and we are going to continue to have some close fights all the way down to the checkered flag here and uh yeah it definitely is looking like it could be a playoff driver more and more of these guys that I see popping up all right and again right now they're working their way through this one it's pretty say we got a pretty good group here again 12 laps to go working their way through this one now the question is how much is are the two pensy guys behind McDow going to be willing to help McDow a all right hopefully the internet didn't just kill the stream here but we are now three wide for the lead three wide for the lead Kyle lson Kyle Bush those two drivers along with a flurry of others have made a third lane up the middle that has now made for a third competitive line in this race and is going to start to challenge that inside or outside lines here all right here we go so again the question here is one do we see are we going to see another caution and if so when all right let's see and again right now you got cnri you got ml all right so there we go Michael mcdal out in front and he's able to clear himself and Oh I thought we just saw someone get into the fence but no we're all good Michael McDow out in front of the field and he is able to lead this field nine laps to go nine more times around for the driver of the number 34 Car okay there we go oh and I looked down for a second and we're wrecked and come on no mcdow's in it come on all right what happened here cuz uh again I looked down for a second and we end up wrecked see some people saying that we were uh being dumb so got to wait and see what ended up happening again I look down for a split second and the 34 is wrecked so and again for whatever reason the uh subtitles are not coming on all right that's not looking for I'm looking for all right here we go let's see so the 34 trying to block all right let's see what does the 34 do okay he goes down there nothing there agree just makes the block drifts up the track just a bit covers the lane gets a push oh yeah no he just got wrecked by the two oh whoa he went up in the air I didn't even see that so yeah cnri just ended mcdow's playoffs there I hadn't seen the replay there but yeah yeah Michael McDow got massive air there oh man all right well we now have another caution flag here and we're going to be uh potentially going into uh overtime we'll have to wait and see how long this uh takes to clean up cuz there are a lot of cars there and but yeah that has got to be one of the big biggest flips that wasn't a flip that I've seen all all right well there we go now we're lined up and ready for a uh we're going to be getting set for another overtime attempt Kyle Bush made it through let's go Kyle come on I just want to see one of my guys make it in it's been a while since I had all three of my guys missed the playoffs mainly because Kyle Bush making the playoffs happen has happened a lot like when was the last time Kyle wish missed the playoffs has he ever missed the playoffs entirely I don't think he has uh oh wait no did he miss it no he he made it in 2020 despite not winning prior to it he just made it on points all right so yeah here we go watching the cheddar car sneaking through that is a massive crash I still can't believe McDow went got stuck got wrecked there all right let's see yeah I mean again S I say I thought maybe he put a late block on on Larson or something that turned him but no I mean again I that is unfortunate there for McDow all right I gotta see if Twitter has has my side on this one Austin Dylan made it through the rack okay great craziest crash I've ever seen yep yep yep who's even left yeah all right so Twitter seems to be pretty well in agreeance here that that was a crazy wreck didn't see anyone directly saying that it was sync's fault but I didn't see anyone blaming McDow so I'll I'll accept it and now they're going to show how the uh roof flaps work to try and keep that car on the ground and obviously the brand new uh you also got the brand new uh side fin that helped uh save McDow there a bit which again every bit of safety we can add into these cars is great as especially if it doesn't hurt the racing which at this point I'd say that the side fin actually helped the racing for all right so there we go man that was just a brutal crash and again that now leaves Michael McDow out of the playoffs with only a win at Darlington ATT track he's never really I mean he's gotten a couple of top 10 there but he's never really excelled there in any sort of he may win there type of way and now we go into that race and that's going to be the requirement is going to be that he goes in there trying to win it just such a bummer because again he didn't do anything to cause to deserve this one unlike with like for example the wreck at the end of the Talladega race I was heartbroken by that one to an extent because we looked so good for the end of it but I can acknowledge that was our fault entirely at the end of tallad we were we were making stupid aggressive we were making a stupid aggressive block and you can only do a couple of those you can only do one maybe two of those before you start getting turned and uh yeah we got turned and now they're talking with Kyle Bush's crew chief Randall Bernett and uh yeah we're gonna go ahead and try and get this one ready to go again we're going to be restarting uh Kyle's going to be restarting in the third position here Harrison Burton in the mix to potentially go and get this one let me see where my my points are probably get my fantasy points are probably in the complete dumpster now yep dropped all the way from first to seventh dropped nearly a 100 points in that wreck because legano McDow blay and busher were all in it so there we go all right well five laps to go are we gonna get this thing going before overtime or are we going to end up uh going into overtime here almost I mean there was a lot of cars to clean up so it makes sense but we were also a decent chunk away from overtime at the time I kind of said that we were going into overtime as a where I misspoke but maybe I wasn't Miss speaking maybe we will just get it so 23rd race at daytone up for Austin Dylan two wins the 2018 Daytona 500 and the 2022 race that uh had the uh crazy rain caution I don't know it this is such a weird racetrack like Austin Dylan very easily could end up getting this win and he is in we have three RCR cars in the top 10 which could vote very well here but it's just one of those situation we just don't know what to expect here and let's see they got Jimmy and uh they got Jimmy Johnson down on the uh NBC's pit box here what do you do at this point if if you're cindric what do you I mean I guess you just take the bottom and you hope for the best if you're syri if you're and if I'm Barry do you go and line up behind your uh Ford factory teammate no he does not he goes top Kyle Bush second on the bottom Byron and Burton to the top Bell to the bottom Todd gillan's still in there too so I do still have a wait for a front row Motorsports guy to get the win just not the frm guy I really wanted to get the win all right well setting aside the personal disappointment of that one we'll have a three laap restart when we go green and it will be three laps to go all right here we go that is just again that is just crazy the uh wreck that we had there all right there we go start up a uh recording for the clip just in case we get a good one here and here we go let's see what's it going to be all right Chastain currently showing as in the playoffs uh one because there's not a new winner leading the race you got Austin syndric leading but you've got three non-winners inside the top five so three potential three out of the top five could be be a uh spot for it and here we go four laps to go it'll be three at the line three at the line and let's see this field this field is going to be just nuts here and let's see winded up ready to go green pace car dies for cover leaving the field in the hands of Austin cnri and Josh Barry and green green green green flags out they are racing and once again it didn't look like uh syri just didn't want to go there almost all right let's see they've made it through so far green green green and just kind of waiting this one out seeing if uh we can make it through the first lap again right now Kyle bus on the inside here in the second row there's a lot of pushing going on on that inside line you got three uh RCR cars on that inside line all probably hoping to get Kyle Bush or one of their other two drivers into Victory Lane preferably Kyle bus or maybe even um Dylan to make the uh final appeals officer a Nonpoint later this week but uh here we go there two laps to go two more times around cnri Barry leading this thing what can Kyle Bush and RCR do here we got a couple of drivers maybe looking to try and start a third lane I think it's going to be too a little too late though for those guys as we go down the back straight away you've got cnri you've got Josh Barry and oh they spin there's a Spin and oh Josh Barry goes up and over we got another Airborne crash another one up and over and Josh Barry is on his lid and he is spinning like a top uh Jo uh Todd Gillan looks like he got a decent chunk of it but oh man that is unfortunate hopefully he is okay I mean we've seen these cars go upside down so much that we kind of assume that they are okay and that one certainly was not nearly as scary as the McDow one but the fact that he's still upside down is not a great sign and yet another crash oh man well that's the thing these cars are genuinely usually pretty safe I don't know what happened the last two weeks that turn these cars into airplanes but I mean like for examp example last week in Michigan we saw two cars go Airborne prior to the Michigan weekend we had seen one car Airborne at Michigan between truck xanity and cup for the entire pre uh preliminary part of the uh or throughout the entire uh 21st century since the turn of the century we'd seen one car go airborne and then La yeah yet last weekend we saw two so I mean I don't I don't know what it is about these uh cars that gives them that tendency to go Airborne but that tendency didn't pop up until legitimately about no yeah didn't give didn't have that tendency until legitimately about now basically like legitimately Midway through this week all right there we go all right so red flag has been displayed we're going to stop the uh field over uh wherever they are and focus on getting the uh for Josh Barry uh rotated back over so we can exit the vehicle and that's the other thing with how heavy these cars are it takes a lot of effort to get the uh the cars uh flipped back over if they land and stay on their roof and again it's also I don't remember the last time we actually saw a car end a spin on its roof I mean I remember I think it was Chris busher back or no no was he almond Dinger back in 2017 at Talladega ended up finishing his flip on his roof trying to remember if that was the most recent or not all right there we go well that helped me in points a bit Parker redoff up in the top 10 in the top five let's go and they got the car rotated over let's go come on and they're going to show a replay before showing him climbing out the car I mean I'm all for showing highlights of the wreck I don't it's not my favorite thing I'd rather than be able to show other highlights especially hitting I hadn't seen how hard he hit the wall while upside down I mean these cars aren't exactly Meant to hit walls while upside down yeah I mean that is just one of those things yeah well and again at least in this situation there was a lot of contact that led to it getting Airborne last yeah I will say I think the yeah the amount of Carnage especially like I mean just that one early wreck that really eliminated a decent chunk of the competitive field I mean for me as a Michael McDow fan it was really interesting to get to follow the uh front row Motorsports guys but now they are both out of the race so yeah now for me it's basically just a can Kyle find his way to the uh can Kyle Bush find his way to Victory Lane and into the playoffs but uh yeah it is one of those situations that once you start wrecking too many cars it's like okay come on we just want to see the end of this race and that's big portion as to why I'm against the unlimited overtime system I think I mean I've said this a couple of times give them two maybe three attempts at overtime and that should be it if you can't get to the if you can't get a clean finish within two or three overtime time attempts you really shouldn't just throw the Checker and end it obviously that system has the has positions to potentially abuse it but so does literally every other system on planet Earth has ways to abuse them so again I just want to know I want to see I want to be able to see uh Josh Barry climbing out of that car because that's the thing we I mean that is the thing we should have uh seen before seeing all these different angles and replays but uh yeah the other big difference though going back to the flip last week versus the flip this week is that there was significant contact and these ones that you could at least maybe make an argument as to okay I can at least see how the car got Airborne the one with uh Cory Joy last week there was absolutely no reason that that car should have gotten Airborne but uh yeah not to mention I mean I can pull up the data but talad Daytona and Talladega are legitimately 10 times more likely to have a car go Airborne at Daytona or Talladega than any other racetrack in the world which again that is just it's a it's a stat it's a fact I would say so I mean again it's just one of those things Airborne crashes obviously they were the Talk of the Town last week and now we've seen two in a row but yep so so close to some of these guys getting through there retof made it through I'm seeing a lot of guys making through that are in fact Belle being the only one in the top five now that would be a repeat winner mag of hemr gets in with the win here today that would be insane but Kyle Bush the race leader there and again I just I I'm still waiting for a uh video or them to cut back to the track to show the driver of the four car climbing out triumphant all right so yeah the cars are stopped here on the front stretch involved in the crash you got syndric Austin Dylan Josh Barry William Byron Austin Hill Todd Gillan Eric Jones and Zane Smith and the red flag has been lifted and they are now under yellow oh man but H yeah this has been chaos utter chaos all right well here we go should be getting this one back to racing here and let's go ahead and just take a look at the poll looks like we're pretty confident that there going to be a driver locking their way into the playoffs with the win here today granted there's a lot of options for that if Harrison Burton wins the race uh today what does that do for him going forward considering he's on the outset at uh Wood Brothers if he wins a race does that potentially get him into a cup or a good exterity seat Maybe I say John Hunter n if he could get that 23 uh or not 2311 but the uh Legacy Motor Club car into the playoffs do we potentially see a legacy motor club uh playoff run another miracle playoff run out of the gimmy Johnson Campa things all right let's see so they got the two car stopped in the uh in the pit box then there we go they're talking with with Joe lagano there out of the uh car and yeah that was just that was some utter chaos there all right here we go and now they're showing okay so yeah this is the replay first of the McDow crash oh I know this was the crash that took out Lano I completely forgot because we had two crashes back to back I just assumed that maybe maybe Lano had made it through that one and then got collected in the second one but no he uh was out on both of them so there we go overtime uh I will say though actually in terms of uh going back to the channel for a moment uh there will be um a video coming out probably Wednesday um I'm gonna get a chance to sit down with a uh for an sit in on an interview with a friend three could Cody wear go in there win the race and avoid shaking up the playoff picture because he's a part-timer who would potentially go and H get bumped up into the uh who would well he wouldn't get bumped up into the playoff conversation because he is part-time but as of right now Bush um Bush Burton would both upset the playoff cutline redoff and wear would not neek would Bell wouldn't kazlowski wouldn't and oh yep there we go Josh Barry glad to see him out the car there we go that's what we' what I've been waiting to see and he's out of the infield care center and just a wild ride going upside down the massive impact on the uh backstretch but again very glad to see him out of the ra or out of the race car out of the Care Center and as far as we can see he's okay all right there laps to go Kyle Bush Harrison Burton on the front row coming down into the uh short shoot here into turn number one one Kyle Bush has the lead but oh uh oh is that I thought I saw maybe some smoke in the background no looks like we're all good now it's going to be Christopher Bell potentially trying to get them trying to figure out how to get a run on Kyle Bush Harrison Burton's backed up quite a bit he um that allows Kyle Bush to potentially try and put a block here on Harrison Burton Burton has the run but no help really behind him and yeah no that run stalled out for Harrison Burton now the momentum is going to be back on the uh oh no momentum is back on the top side there Kyle Busch up to block trying to block both lanes here trying to take advantage and the white flag is out this will be the final lap of the race green white or checkered say this race will be over this lap here Kyle bus out in front of the field Christopher Bell the second Harrison Burton fighting on the outside big push here from Parker rlof big push on the outside by Parker rlof is it going to be Harrison Burton Harrison Burton takes the lead in Daytona Harrison Burton gonna get the 100th win for the Wood Brothers Is that real Harrison Burton down to block Kyle Bush can he make it one more move Kyle Bush to the outside Harrison Burton was below the line Harrison Burton was below the double yellow Harrison Burton wins at the line we're gonna have to wait and see but Harrison Burton's officially scored the race winner uh at the line the question is whether or not going below that line ends up taking that one away I'm curious to see the results on that one let's see he went below the line there yeah for but uh yeah there we go all right let's see Harrison Burton's going down to the front stretch and uh he's gonna go out there and try and do the burnout and that is going to be a big win for Harrison Burton especially if it stands again right now we are under the impression that potentially say again I'm just curious as to what the rule is because I I know the ru I've heard the rule be being specified that it you can't Advance your position below the double yellow what about if you're the leader and you go below the double yellow to take the shortest line around here okay so let's see the replay here goes up blocking blocking blocking blocking and he goes below the double yellow yeah he goes entirely below the line I mean I guess he technically doesn't Advance his position down there but he's definitely below the line and he isn't avoiding a wreck or anything and he does to his credit he does get back up on the racetrack before any uh as soon as humanly possible after that so I mean I guess it's good but again it's one of those things where it's an ambiguous rule and I just don't I guess I don't understand the rule entirely there but uh yeah I mean he ended up going below the line per the letter of the rule I would imagine that that should have been not him winning it but there we go Harrison Burton with the race win and H yeah it's according to NASCAR that's going to stand and Harrison Burton is in the playoffs so Pensky gets a all four of their Affiliated cars into the playoffs and man what a feeling for Jeff Burton to go and watch Harrison Burton go and put that one into the playoffs with the win right there and now we go to yeah and now we head to uh Darlington next week with a big with a big uh question mark at hand who will be making the playoffs I want to see what the playoff cut line looks like after this one wow n all right I've just gotta wonder how many drivers are GNA win races in their 99th or 98th start because Byron Chase Elliott and Burton I can name right off top of my head one in start 99 or 98 now and I feel like there were more of them too that have done that and there we go man Harrison though again I'm I'm happy for Harrison he he he worked he's been working at this for so long and really getting no credit from the general Motorsports Community as a good racing driver which he is by no doubt he is a good racing driver he just had struggled at the cup level for a while and finally he managed to have some stuff go his way and ultimately he wins this race certainly did not predict that one and only led the final lap first time he led the race there and yep they have officially confirmed uh yeah they have officially confirmed that Harrison Burton wins the race so there we go Harrison Burton is your race winner all right let's see so close to it to it let's see trying to see if there's anything on TWiT on Twitter that uh talks about this but yeah win number 100 for the Wood Brothers let's see but yeah four straight overtime finishes which is just insane but again congratulations to Harrison Burton wish that uh Kyle Bush had gotten that one maybe Tech inspection again that's the hopeful Kyle bus fan in Me Maybe Tech inspection goes our way but again for me the biggest question is just the ruling on the I I would like some clarification on the ruling for the uh double yellow line thing because again I have to look at it again to see exactly what the uh rule is because this reminds me of Justin Haley's thing all right there we go now he's going to climb the fence he's not the only driver that has that for a uh post race thing but uh real quick want to go ahead and give a quick shout uh line down but uh yeah so but because yeah yeah him getting hooked onto the line I understand but again from what I saw I think he's it looked like he's stabilized above it and then yeah Dove lower but uh yeah so harison Burton your race winner Kyle Bush second we already talked about them a lot Christopher bell with a nice quiet third place finish after what could have easily been potentially a win for him if if he' uh gone just a little bit more aggressive Cody wear coming home inside the top five for rickw racing nice to see the other rickw car doing well just wish it was with almost any other driver that they've had in that number 15 car would love to have seen that for krala uh Ty Gibbs coming home with a top five finish helping his point stay which had been a really rough Point stay there and oh yep there's Jeff Burton hugging his son there after he his son got his first career win yeah bubble Wallace coming home in the sixth place position um again another driver who just needs points really badly and now needs them even worse than he did before because of Harrison's win Parker r SL comes home in the seventh position yeah great day for that kid part-timer yeah first uh career Cup start or sorry second career Cup start he uh he started the number 44 car uh or not 44 car he started um Richmond uh in the 66 Car to be eligible for this race and now there we go there's the playoff standings bubble Wallace 21 points out head into Darlington which was not his best track this is not a great situation I said he needed to go out of this I said before this point that Bubba needed to leave Daytona with a points lead darlington's not necessarily a terrible track for him but by no means is it his best track and both Chastain and busher are pretty good there so I think I think Bubba's out I think I don't barring a win I don't think chastin gets in so it's pretty much busher and the rest are already in and there we go all right so continuing with the list we got Brad kazlowski coming home in the eighth position ninth for Daniel hemrich yeah a good day for him and then Chris Bush are running out your top 10 finishers Carson hos ofar coming home in the 11th position Ros Chastain coming home 12th zanen Smith coming home 13 so hey my pick for the win he didn't get wrecked out so I guess that's an improvement Chase Brisco comes home in the 14th position driving the number 14 car John Hunter n comes home in the 15th position coming home 16th is Alex Bowman 17th Eric Jones 18th is Austin cnri 19th is BJ McLoud and rounding out your T your lead lap finishers and your top 20 finishers Joey gase in the number 44 car comes home 20th Kyle arson the first car one lap down in 21st position all right here we go g to get to see the replay again uh oh 30th Jo also 13 laps off the pace in 31st Justin Haley comes home 32nd 33rd for Ricky Sten out Jr 34th for Cory Le joy and running out your top 35 is Shane Van gisbergen who finishes 84 laps off the pace Chase Elliott comes home 103 laps short of the checkered flag in 36 37th for Noah gson coming home 105 lap shy of the checkers same thing with Denny Hamlin 105 lap shy of the Checkers comes home in 38th Place Ryan priest 105 laps behind the race and 39th place for Ryan PRI and Daniel Suarez the first driver out of the race and he comes home 127 laps off the pace and uh yeah that will round
