today we're diving into this week's rapid fire rivan news exploring stories that range from new data of rivan R2 pre-order estimates to improved rivan charging times and plenty more now let's get into [Music] it first up today rivan has added seven more service centers to their portfolio which include locations ranging from Massachusetts to Hawaii with increased Vehicles out on the Road rivan will have to continue to increase their deployment of these centers in order to keep up with service requests and demands next up rivan recently updated their Canadian website to reflect pricing for the rivan R2 expected in 2026 the starting price in Canada will be $66,500 Canadian or about $48,000 which is slightly above the US starting price of $45,000 it's important to understand that these prices could change in the future as we get closer to the actual release date in 2026 next during an event at rivan's Normal Illinois plant this past Sunday Tim Fallon the startups vice president of manufacturing announced that pre-orders for the R2 had soared well over a 100,000 according to a radio station wglt to meet this impressive demand rivan plans to hire more employees and aims to bring the R2 to Market Market by 2026 this is all positive news the plant expansion in Normal Illinois is expected to boost Ran's production capacity to 215,000 units annually with 155,000 of those being R2 models the expansion should help meet the growing demand but the true test will be how quickly production can scale to this ambitious Target next just like last week there's another rivan space that just opened its doors on July 26th in San Diego this will be another great place to allow potential owners to experience what rivan has to offer in a well-mannered space in more exciting news rivan has another achievement under its belt it was named the most satisfying brand in JD power's latest appeal study surpassing industry Giants Porsche and Tesla this prestigious study measures owner satisfaction which has notably rebounded after 2 years of a decline this rating showcases the company's ability to meet customer desires the study also highlights a growing satisfaction with non-tesla EVS in general highlighting rivan's impressive and strong performance in the competitive market lastly rivan recently introduced major upgrades to the second generation r1s and r1t including a lithium iron phosphate or lfp battery pack for the base version significantly improving char charging times EV expert Kyle Connor tested the 2025 r1s before and after a software update and found charging times reduced by 15 minutes with the r1s now able to charge from zero to 100% in under an hour the lfp battery offers durability and cost advantages although it has a lower energy density and slower winter charging despite some drawbacks the new r1s proves to be a strong road tripping companion with a range of about 240 M on the highway for the full video I've placed the link in the summary below please check it out but for now that is the week's rapid fire updates on all things rivan please like And subscribe for more upto-date information on rivan it really helps my channel and remember that Adventure is always out there [Music]
