Beetlejuice Beetlejuice - Movie Review | The King's Korner 9/4/24 | Tim Burton | Michael Keaton

what's up guys and welcome to my review for beetle juu beetle juu this is a highly anticipated sequel which is yet again directed by Tim Burton starsona writer and Katherine O'Hara and Michael Keaton returning as Beetlejuice I am a big fan of the original Beetlejuice movie I love that film actually it's top three Tim Burton film of mine including Sweeney Todd the demon barbar flee treat which I do think is his best movie and Sleepy Hollow those three films are I think Tim Burton's best movies and you want to know what this is an excellent sequel congratulations to Tim Burton and to the cast of this movie and the production team firstly I want to mention the production design the movie just like the first one you know had Immaculate set decoration and so does this film and also the special effects the Practical effects look incredible this is one of the most visually appealing movies of the year and I think that adds to its rewatchability including the rewatchability of the first with the matlins played by Jina Davis and Alec Baldwin and the deas coming into their home so this film it is a bigger story there's more things going on and it's a great expansion of the Beetlejuice lore and I just found myself smiling throughout the whole entire film I enjoyed the story and the progressions of the story and the characters when Ona Ryder is fantastic as Lilia dats yet again and her daughter in the film played by Jenna Ortega who slips right in to the beetle juu World she's very good in this movie and things that she has to do in her character has to uh overcome I think worked really well for me and I thought it it really played well into the lore and Katherine O'Hara you know if I was an Oscar voter I'd give her a best supporting actress nomination because just like that first film she's so good in this movie as well and she's got some of the most funny in the film she's hilarious in the movie Just the Deets family I just think so iconic and and like I said Jenna Oro slips right in so the story of the film look I'm not going to give any spoilers but we've got to go back to that old maand home as you've seen the trailers if you didn't see the trailers there's been a death in the family that now we've got to go and we've got to mourn that death and it takes us back to that maelin home and up into the attic with the miniature of the town and the return of Beetlejuice why does beetle juice come back well I think it's actually really clever how they did it and how they Incorporated him into this movie Michael Keon is so good as this character he slips right back into the role he's it's like he's never stopped playing Beetlejuice I mean from the first movie to this movie he is this character he's so good as this character he hasn't missed a beat he's hilarious the movie is actually very funny this is one of the funniest films of the Year Danny Alin score is also really good just like it was in the first movie it's just great in this film as well with that opening title sequence where you get you know a remix of the main title sequence of the first movie but I mean it's really classic stuff the Deo scene is a memorable scene probably the most memorable scene from the first movie this film does try to do something new with that kind of thing I won't spoil it but to some people it might feel like a cheap ripoff just feeling like they had to do something like that guess what it works for me and a lot of the stuff of this movie worked for me the new characters other than Jenna Ortega you have William defo and Monica beluchi and I thought their characters really worked as well but in the end of the day Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is an extremely entertaining film you're going to feel Joy when you watch this movie you're going to laugh you're you're going to be enamored by the sight of it and the visuals of it and Tim Burton you know he did such a great job coming back directing this movie this is Tim Burton's best film in 17 years that's right back in 2007 when he did Sweeney Tod which I do think is his best movie as I mentioned before this is his best film since then he's had some good movies since but guess what none of them have been this good this is a great sequel I loved it I'm sure it's a little I don't want to say messy but I I mean there's just a lot going on especially in the third Act of this film when everything kind of comes to a head but I just found myself enjoying the chaotic nature of this movie because Beetlejuice himself chaotic character and I just feel like Tim Burton honed down the tone so well so this movie is a big win for me I loved this film I can't wait to rewatch this movie it slips right in I I've said slips right in about three times in this video but it's true this slips right into that Beetlejuice world and this in the second film like I said it's not a remake of that original film this is a new continuation of the story expanding it and I really enjoyed that I thought this was a great Sequel and it's four and a half out of five star film for me this movie is exactly what it set out to be this movie isn't trying to be anything else for what this movie set to accomplish I think it did a pretty damn good job at accomplishing it it's not as good as the first film but damn it it's a great movie so Beetlejuice Beetlejuice guys comment down below if you plan on
