Predicting the Georgia Bulldogs 2024 Football Schedule - Do they go undefeated?

good evening good afternoon ladies and gentlemen welcome back to another episode of high top sports Georgia today we're going to be talking about the Georgia Bulldog schedule going to go ahead and bring in now our Georgia Insider Bryce Mandela Bryce this schedule isn't your typical Bulldog schedule I mean you've been there for the last couple of years I mean it's it's you guys have gotten a lot of flack because it's been an easy schedule look as much as I want to say yes it has been to each his own you do enough to get the job done that's all that matters but this year got a few cupcakes but it's doozy it's going to be a tough one yeah in comparison to uh the 2023 schedule this past season where you know everyone was saying it was a cakewalk pretty easy schedule for SEC comparison but you know this season um you know with the addition of Texas and Oklahoma we don't play Oklahoma but um yeah it's a gauntlet for sure a lot of away games too we're not really I think our three toughest opponents we all play on the road um so that's probably the biggest that's probably the biggest Factor but um yeah definitely not what we've seen the past two seasons in terms of difficulty of schedule and next year it's going to go to nine SEC schedules so you're going to lose one of your cupcakes that we've got scheduled and also I mean look as a Gator fan the that schedule is a gauntlet as well I'm excited I I think it's fun to have those kind of games I I want to get your thoughts on that too I mean obviously it's nice having a refresher every now and then but I don't know man you get just getting riled up every Saturday to go into an absolute with the expansion of the playoffs I don't feel like it's before you had to go undefeated it right so it made a little more sense you had to be more strategical in your in your scheduling I think this opens the door open a little bit with 12 teams it's you don't have to be perfect but you still got to play good football and look you're going against the best of the best each week I mean I think it's a fun what are your thoughts on that yeah it's going to be a different format obviously with the 12 teams and I mean it's going to be kind of crazy we're going to be seeing some two lost playoff teams sure um you know in in this new format whereas especially this year I mean Jesus we lost we lost one game in the past 760 days whatever it was by three points and we don't get in the playoff and I'm I'm not one of these delusional Georgia fans that says oh we should have got in like yes were we a top four team but like yeah just with the way that it went just the way that the the dominoes fell we didn't deserve to be in the playoff this year but it was just crazy thinking wow we lost one game by three points now we're not in it whereas this season this upcoming season we could drop two games on the road and still be a seven seed could still win the championship could honestly so that crazy it's gonna be fun I'm G to love it I mean look you could have not lost a single game and that made the playoffs so there's there you could have there's that Florida State yeah at least we're not Florida State yeah it's there's always somebody that has it worse but let's dive into it let's take a look at the schedule here you're going to give us your thoughts and your predictions uh on this schedule here and let's let's hear your predictions man all right starting off week one um this is going to be the afflac kickoff game against Clemson this will be played at mercedesbenz Stadium um what we like to call uh at or uh sorry Sanford West um a lot of Georgia fans come out to that game um pretty much anytime we play in Mercedes-Benz Stadium usually you know in previous SEC Championship games it's been about they say 6535 in terms of the Georgia fans as opposed to the uh to the other team so right there in Atlanta uh definitely plan on going to that game just an hour and a half West I think that's an easy um I wouldn't say easy but I I think we take take care of business by a few touchdowns against Clemson look I I I I agree I think Clemson's kind of take a step back they've kind of been a little bit stagnant they're trending a little downwards um obviously with with Davos Sweeney's kind of philosophy on the past I mean what was it just this season they just started picking up guys from the trans reportal and barely that like they were kind of they were very they were very uh stubborn in terms of in terms of that like and I get it like with the new age of college football like not everyone wants to buy into getting players from the transfer portal but it's like sink or swim like you got to adapt at some point so and I think that's what's hurt Clemson the past three four years is that you know the introduction of the transfer portal they haven't really utilized it up until this past season so um they do have a five-star linebacker coming in Sammy Brown who also lives like 30 minutes from Athens so that was a that was a big Miss by Georgia um but yeah so so they got Sammy Brown coming in um to make an impact but yeah I think that'll be a win easy dub for sure I think it's an easy dub but yeah yeah Tennessee Tech I mean I don't wantan to I don't want to make this video too long let's just let's just put a w there fair enough that's that that's not going to be yeah especially at home too then Kentucky week three um that'll be interesting because it will be uh Brock Vander Griff going up against the dogs our second SL third string quarterback for the past three seasons graduated from uh from ug this past December born and raised in Athens went to Prince Avenue Christian so uh I think that'll be a win as well um you know going on the road to Kentucky also jaman Dumis Johnson uh one of our starting linebackers transfer there too so Kentucky gives me that missou Vibe where they're they've been slowly just building and building and building I think last year the quarterback play wasn't the greatest I can't remember his name from NC State at the very moment de Deon ly thank you liry I think it was a step down from will L for sure I think Brock Vander if I'm high on Brock I I think he's going to do some great things I think I actually put him in the top 10 quarterbacks on our main channel for this upcoming SE I think put like number nine people were kind of frustrated but I like look this kid's been sitting at Georgia for quite some time and I don't think he's not going to just go in there and and and flop I think KY is doing a good job you got Kentucky a little bit later I mean you got you got them at their their Peak I think last year six and0 I believe they were when you met them and just dra them yeah and just just stomped them I think it was like 51 to 13 something like that and that was at home yeah so uh I think going there in this early as big I don't think it'd be as big of a blowout but yeah I I think we take care of this I think it benefits them a little more being earlier in the season and at home but I think you guys should have no problems for sure they they try to play the same game and they just they can't Li they can't match up with you guys on that yep so here's an interesting one week this is actually week five um because we have a bye week four and I think that benefits us tremendously wow when we played Alabama in the SEC Championship Game this year we were already super Knocked Up um you know with injuries in the Georgia Tech game the week prior and you know Brock was not at 100% lad was not at 100% um and those were two of our biggest Playmakers for the past two seasons um and we did not look good in that Georgia Tech game the last week of the regular season but I think if we had a biwe in between that and playing Bama in the SC Championship I think I think we win the SEC Championship last season so you know new coach um the only iffy part is it's at Bryant Denny Stadium and uh you know that's not definitely not gonna be an easy place to play I will be in Tuscaloosa for that game um that is going to be an outrageous environment I mean I the last time that Georgia played Alabama was in 2020 with the uh the co season they got they got stomped um by the Crimson Tide but you know there wasn't really fans at the stadium so um but you know what with if this was Nick Sabin Crimson Tide I I don't think we could we could pull it out you know with with all the guys that they had that hit the transfer portal still there but listen I I think I think Georgia beats Alabama on the road I'm gonna say and a lot of people think so too people have him going like eight and four Alabama I don't know about that I I think they probably lose two games but I look I was gonna say one of those losses I'm gonna push back because obviously I think if if if you know being a Gator fan I'm GNA have my thoughts I like this pick here I I got Georgia minus three probably this early on things could change and we'll see more between from both teams but if you know right now if I'm Vegas I'm putting minus three on George on this game I they have a lot of attrition guys going to the portal but coaches as well just lost our linebacker coach they've lost their offensive coordinator deor dor did from Washington to the NFL there's a lot of attrition happening not just the head coach that's it's look I'm not saying B's going to just fall off the map but they're going to take in a schedule that is the hardest B is probably going to face in a very long time you with the SEC being at its peak I would say you you got Texas coming in it's going to be great Oklahoma's going to be great Tennessee is finding its dride all these teams that typically are kind of having down years are hitting their stride when Bama in in a weird sense necess hasn't taking a step back but has some question marks I think this is a honestly probably easier in a way than some other games yeah for sure then we got week six um you know Georgia last season against Auburn they struggled in that game I mean it was tied going into the fourth quarter uh tied going into halftime as well um we kind of snuck it out late there W 127 to 20 um and Auburn is a program that definitely has taken a dip in the past few years but now they're trending upward they got you know five star cam Coleman coming in um number two wide receiver behind Jeremiah Smith so uh you know like I said if this was at Auburn this this could be a a very Trap game but luckily um this is in saner stadium hopefully it's a night game I think we take care business um against Auburn as well I like it look I think that Bamba game is going to tell you a lot we're going to know a lot about Georgia at this point of the Season uh week five I think because you have the bye-week you're week six so yeah so then Auburn's week six yeah yeah look a lot of people are high on Auburn a lot of people it irritates me how high people are on Auburn because I just don't see it I know they had good recruiting classes last year but a lot of question marks on the offensive side of things pton thorm not sold on so I I think you guys struggled more so just because uh Auburn's defense was pretty stout it kept him in a lot of games last year I just I think you'll be able to pull it off at home for sure yeah two three years down the line it's a different story because I think I think it definitely affects the instate recruiting now that Nick savin's not in the state of Alabama good point I think that's that's a win um Mississippi State haven't really watched them since Georgia played them in 2022 nobody has um we were we were up by like I remember we were up by like three at the end of the half in 2022 because we let up a punt return on the last play of the half I was just living I I remember watching we we literally were up like by three points going into the half we ended up winning like 40 to 19 but Mississippi State um they could potentially be the worst I mean they could be worse than Vanderbilt um this year very easily um but yeah I I think that's a that's a 40 Point win right there for sure now here we go here we go this is this is where this is where it gets dicey and I don't want to be that obnoxious Georgia fan that you know says oh we're going 12 and0 you know I'm realistic I I want to be an analyst I guess as my career I want to do this long term so I'm not gonna I'm not going to be biased but at Texas I mean this is going to be right dead smack in the middle of the season um returning Quinn URS the favorite for the Heisman him and Carson Beck it's gonna be an absolute show um but I think if there's any game that Georgia will drop it's going to be this one so I think you know for the lack of I don't know how to put it into words just so I don't get my hopes up for a 12-0 season I I I think this this is the game that we could drop um I don't have really too much to say they they are losing a lot they are losing their two biggest Playmakers ad Mitchell who was a transfer from Georgia and Xavier worthy their two best wide receivers and then um Sanders is their tight end I don't I forget his first name but they're also losing him so look but they reloaded in the portal too yeah they they were monsters in the portal number one I think they are bringing back one of the most talented teams in football next year and also too it's just look at that schedule you're going through some Gauntlet you got Bama Auburn and then you're going into Texas I mean that that is a hell of a stretch just it's honestly The Perfect combo and then you're going away too um and then this stretch you got coming up is is Gauntlet where we're about to get into it I mean it's all in the row the Georgia Florida game isn't technically it's on the road so I guess it's technically is and it's at Florida but that's not really the the same case but yeah I agree I think this is I think it's still a tossup I don't think it's you know but I like I like your headset I think it's reasonable to say like this game losing one is possible and I there's if you had to choose one this is probably your most likely game you're gonna lose in the next game but we'll get into that exactly and I I think the the biggest factor is what weak it is in the season week eight I mean that is just right smack dab in the middle of hison I think if you put this game where the Bama game is and we're coming off a by we to go to Texas different I think that's a whole another story but it's like week eight you know who knows what kind of you know injuries we might be dealing with at at that point in the season um it's just a tough week and especially Texas's kind of introduction to the SEC um their fans are going to be Rowdy so we we'll put that as a loss um for now then moving on you know obviously world's largest outdoor cocktail party Georgia Florida um I'm sorry I I I mean I don't wanna I don't want to get under your skin too much but uh let's just let's just put that as as a win there no you're good you're my feel I yeah you texted me I go you sure about that you go as sure sure as I could be sure as I can be yep and the one thing that sometime I I know that it's not going to change within the next I know for a fact five years I believe but it kind of depends on what the because the Jacksonville Jaguars are looking to get a new stadium within the next decade so you know we might see hopefully sometime within my lifetime a Georgia Florida at Georgia or at Florida you know if we go if we roll into the swamp like I said that could be a whole different game but it's it's like a neutral sight game we're playing in an NFL field there's really no home field advantage yeah that's going to be a win I think it's inevitable that we will play at each other stadium in the next decade but yeah yeah so then moving on this is the other I guess question mark it's this the Alabama game and the Texas game here's the thing that I don't really love I guess about Old Miss is I am not 100% bought in I mean ever since I have been a student here at ug which this is my third year next year is is my final year as a student um there's been so it seems like every single week not every week but like there'll be a ranked SEC opponent if this has probably happened seven or eight times everyone's you know hyping up this team I mean it happened with Old Miss this past season Old Miss was ranked 10 10 or 11 somewhere around that range they're coming in Athens you know college game days here it's crappy weather it was like you know for Georgia standards you know it was like 55 and raining just absolute garbage it was a night game but Sanford Stadium was just earsplitting loud I think it was arguably louder than the Tennessee game in 2022 and Miss looked like absolute garbage I mean they were they scored I think on the second Drive um and then they didn't score until like early in the fourth quarter absolutely waxed him like 52 to 1 whatever the score was it was like 52 to 17 yeah yeah um I I wasn't impressed at all with all Miss they're they're yeah they got Walter Nolan they had the best um best transfer portal class by far um them in Oregon I think them Oregon and Ohio State kind of won the transfer portal um this season but uh their their defense just because you know they get the number one you know transfer defensive tackle or yeah Walter Nolan um I think we put up like a 50 spot now that's not that's not to say that you know they're not going to put up 352 because that that that offense is gonna be electric they did lose quincha junkins though uh to Ohio State but supposedly their second string running back is like even better like because Quin Sean averaged like 4.3 yards a carry and then like second string guy average like five I don't know what his name is but I remember yeah Lane kein he's very outspoken and he even said that on Twitter so yeah I'm I I'm not gonna be bought into Old Miss unless they're nine and0 that week I agree Old Miss is I I love Lane and I was heavy on him last you're going into that Alabama game I go this is your time to shine get it done and they lost and at that point I was like they just can't get the big ones in that's it and they went out there they reloaded people are high on them they haven't lacked the talent in my opinion I don't feel like they've lost these the they didn't lose to you maybe they lost to you guys talent but I don't think they lost that Bamba game to Talent they lost it to coaching just being out coached and being you know outmaneuvered and I feel like that's going to be the same thing we'll see I mean you got to think Lane's going to try to get it I mean you are you're you're the LA Rams you've sold out for this year you have to be competitive at least I mean you with the way that it is the new landscape you got to think SC Championship it's got to be it's SEC Championship a bust in my opinion if you're old Miss but I think you win exactly and and I'm not I'm not saying this is like a lock of a win sure like I'm not saying that by any means but 7030 I'm just not I'm just not as impressed yeah this is going to be like a like a 50 to 37 game or something I'm talking about percentage wise though like you feel like 6040 Georgia 7030 oh my bad um yeah yeah I would say that that's right about that 70% I think they're gonna win sure but okay like it's it's on the road too but it's not like what is it vaugh Hemingway Stadium I believe I I think I nailed that where uh Old Miss home stadium I've never really heard anything about like that being a super host style environment now I could be wrong I could be wrong and I know that game is going to be particularly Rowdy because it's Georgia coming to town but you know it's it's not like you know walking in the Bryant Denny Stadium I think is a little more intimidating the tailgating is pretty intense at Old Miss they they they get buck nasty but I don't know I haven't heard about the stadium like like we hear about the swamp or Death Valley both death valleys or N St like right those those stadiums yeah we don't you don't hear but it could be just because of you know the company that they're in all right what we got Tennessee's next exactly Tennessee at Georgia um you know I've expressed on previous shows everyone's got their you know school that they hate in the SEC I didn't come in as a Georgia fan you know when the Rivalry of Georgia Florida was super hostile you know it was a bloodbath every single year I don't even mind I mean I hate Alabama but it's not like I like absolutely despise of them Tennessee absolutely cannot stand um their fans are just my one of my good friends goes there he's the most delusional Tennessee fan they thought they were just R they were just riding on rainbows that one you know 2022 season when they came into Athens at number one and um we won that game 27-13 but if you watch that game in 2022 you know the score did not reflect 27-13 I mean it was it was pouring rain the second half it should have been like 40 45 to 13 that was I think at at sanord Stadium I think and you know they're getting all this hype Nico ya yamama leava um you know I think he's gonna be good but it's gonna be this it's it's the same scenario in Old Miss it's like yeah you got high powerered guys on offense but Tennessee's defense you know in the past few years has been absolutely atrocious um you know you saw they were one one game away from being in the college football playoff in 2022 and they lit up 65 63 against South Carolina so I this is going to be this is going to be a 30-point win yeah I I they my lightning in the bottle season that 2022 season as it looked they're good right now but everyone thought it was going to continue to carry on last year I me they did they played well don't get it wrong but they lost to Florida and they lost to you guys so it wasn't the season they lost they lost to missou by 30 this is true too so yeah they I don't think they're 36 to seven I I got Florida beating him too so I hope so all right you got a cupcake we know we're going there Gtech I mean basically you got two cupcakes there zumas um this is an interesting not only is this an interesting team to play because UMass is notorious for being the worst FBS school um in the entire country I mean consistently they go they go like two and 10 every year so this isn't even like a mid- major like oh you know Kent State's rolling into town sure when I mean two years ago we only beat Ken state by like 17 this could literally be like this could be 70 to nothing if we keep the you know the foot on the gas but um yeah weird week too like super bizarre week 11 yeah I I don't know what's going on there but whatever that's a win and then closing out the season Georgia Tech is trending upward sure you know I hate to say that and this is another team where I can't really relate to the rivalry because you know since I've been a you know DieHard Georgia football fan since I've been a student here I Georgia Tech has been abysmal so last year we beat them by seven on the road um we made a lot of mistakes Carson Beck had two silly silly turnovers in that game he fumbled and then he had an interception in the Red Zone um but since this game's at home I think we win by three scores but yeah closing out the season 11- one I think we return to the SEC Championship game um whoever that may be um obviously this it's going to be a new format too with the elimination of this the East and West so it's not going to be a scenario where you know we're top of the East and we just play the best team in the west it's going to be a similar um format to what the big 12 has been running yeah where it's just the best two teams I like that it's me it's to me different it's exciting it's uh and I think look I think you could easily have a two two lost SEC teams to be perfectly honest with you just because of how the cookie is going to crumble I I mean the is is profound for beating each other up but they typically next year even more so next year without a shadow of a doubt because of the nine nine games maybe not as much mou schedule is they took a play they took A playbook out of Georgia and Alabama it is unre have you seen it I don't think I've seen missou schedule though oh my goodness I have to pull it up because it is uh they they they know like people were sleeping on them I think somebody had them like seven and four or eight and5 or whatever uh seven and five excuse me and there's just there's just no way I I I I don't see it at all they don't play they don't play Florida which is a I mean that's obviously just a competitive game they don't play you guys I don't think or maybe yeah they don't play you guys no no so what they do they is it like Mississippi State Arkansas Vanderbilt you ready for this Kentucky first four games yeah Murray State Buffalo when yeah win Boston College what you're telling me they play three like absolute hold on then Vanderbilt hold on that's then A&M at College Station so you can you can I think M better that could be a loss that could be a loss could be but I think m is better than UMass so wow UMass is getting quite the gauntlet here so they could easily be one two three four four and or excuse me one two three four five six and0 headed into Auburn it's in missou again that's that's a tough game that's fine then Bama then Oklahoma that's very tough that's their three hardest games and it goes South Carolina Mississippi State Arkansas and Arkansas's basically Vandy at this point and and Mississippi state so they got the bottom of the barrel of they literally play by far the like the five worst teams in the SEC yep yep the I mean Florida technically would be kind of in that in that category as of now I hate to say it but yeah yeah true but there yeah that is the bottom I mean because I don't I don't think South Carolina is going to be any good no I think and Arkansas Arkansas is a is in shambles um especially because KJ Jefferson he's at USC UCF now so that yeah I I think they lose to Bama and man they're probably better than Oklahoma now that's Oklahoma plays in missou and so look here's the thing right missou always had to fight through Georgia they could they could have one loss Missouri could could be in the SEC Championship wow hey I'm I hope that happens I hope yeah gets one loss and go to the SEC Championship but what could be crazy because if you lose to te because look Texas doesn't play them so if you lose to Texas and Texas let's say loses one or goes undefeated you got three teams up there all three of those teams are going to the to the playoffs right it's it's going to be fun next year is going to be be absolutely nuts that's for sure yeah so final gu final analysis I think floor for the Georgia Bulldogs in 2024 is 10 and two well technically if they go 10 and two I think they they're still like an eight N Seed sure so I guess in that case floor is 11 and three like absolute Rock Bottom that's that's if they lose two out of three against Old Miss Texas and Alabama and you think they make the playoff don't see that happening yeah and then like and then winning a game in the playoffs and then running into I don't know like an Ohio State absolute floor I mean that would be a disaster of a season with with the roster that we got coming in and then ceiling ceiling's 15 and0 or do they play one no because they're gonna if they're a on SE they would have a two more games yep yeah so ceiling definitely 15 and0 it's going to be tough no they play no they would play an additional game 16 they would play an additional game because they 16 yeah because they would play the then yeah it's two it's it's two games ceiling is the first if you're in the first round you have to play four games wow so but yeah that's those are my final predictions lock it in I love it I think this went a lot longer than we anticipated but it was good very informational so hopefully uh everyone enjoys it it's the way too early prediction you know maybe we'll do a kind of a shorter version as we get close to the season maybe we'll get some more updates on starters and whatnot and the other teams the SC week is usually when the predictions come out it's very strange like they this is what happens watch watch happen on media week they'll do the interviews and however the interviews go and how they get a pulse on the coaches that's how they then project the rest of the season it happens every year it makes literally no sense but it's their gauge somebody picked Vandy to win the SEC last year because uh Clark Lee came out feeling pretty feisty like it's I'm I'm telling you nobody comes out and says it like blatantly but it it how can you after SEC media week then feel like okay we got a good pulse of things now how the The Season's gonna are going to play out nobody knows but good stuff uh just about to hit 200 Subs so keep smashing like but but boys and girls like And subscribe until next time I'm Shelton that's
