breaking news now sponsored by nikol loock tell us what happened uh we saw you get hit by the pitch but when did when did things start getting worse for you uh yeah um got hit by the pitch thought nothing of it really you know it was a breaking ball um you know 95% sure hit the the guard I was wearing too so um you know didn't hurt that bad at all especially running the bases and then uh started to feel a little bit um you know warming up the next inning just throwing the ball first base and then uh that double play ball threw it first and uh you know didn't hurt that bad like you know threw it uh thought nothing of it really but um got to The Dugout and you know uh wanted to make sure I could swing you know that was that was kind of the main thing and uh went in the cage and it just didn't feel good to swing so it was more that turning over motion uh made it flare up where did it get you exactly uh on the I mean right on top yeah okay right in there so what are the emotions going through you right now uh yeah frustrated um you know this is you know not how you want to um you know kind of end the season uh end of the season hurt last year too as well with with my elbow so um you know a little unfortunate um you know I want to be out there with the guys you know this team's done so much and um you just wanted to help contribute but um got a good good group of guys in there um you know who who can do it and um just going to be uh you know happy to be here and be part of it B what's the season been like for you you had the slow start you turned around and now end like this yeah uh you know up and down I'd say you know it it was down at the beginning you I started uh spring training hurt as well um you know with that bicep injury and um you know then started the season slow but you know was able to you know kind of be myself the the last you know two two and a half three months so um you know wanted to finish season strong and you know just unfortunately this is uh you know what it is is there any expectation or hope that you could make it back back for October if there's a Deep Run yeah um you know I would say if uh you know you see me on the field again that's a really good thing that means we're uh you know deep in the playoffs so you know I want to say uh I can come back and and help contribute but um you know who knows we got to you know kind of see uh how it heals in the next few weeks and then um you know kind of I think it might be a you know pain management kind of thing so we'll see four to six weeks is the uh tentative timeline that's from what I've heard um I know we're getting second opin too that we haven't heard uh what they had to say yet but um I think you know that's the kind of the normal timeline for it's it's a really small fracture it it's you know when I broke my wrist in 19 I I looked at the X-ray and I could tell you it was broken um this one I I couldn't so um small fracture and hopefully it's not you know too major car have you surprised that the news was that bad were you surprised did you think absolutely you know I hit with a 73 mph curveball whatever it was you know on a uh you you know on a guard that I wear um for that reason and so didn't think of anything of it you know when I got hit I was like you know telling the coaching staff and them to go back and dog out I'm fine I'm fine like it barely hit me it didn't even hurt and so um he was definitely shocked
