we turn now to the Wildfire raging in Southern California burning 20,000 anchors and forcing thousands to flee their homes MOA langi is in Highland California with the latest good morning MOA well good morning Rebecca as you mentioned thousands of people here in San Bernardino County have evacuated their homes as this fire continues to burn more than 20,000 Acres torched including this stretch of mountain brush here as of this morning the fire is 0% contained and this is just one of several fires that continues to rage throughout the region this morning thousands of people in California evacuating from their homes as a massive Wildfire ravages the region I don't care if the house burns down but not with him in it the line fire burning through more than 20,000 acres and injuring three firefighters Ash and smoke stretching out as far as the eye can see you can see by all this scorched Earth thousands of acres here in San Bernardino County have already burned and with thousands of homes and businesses and structures being threatened evacuations are underway authorities shutting down part of California State Route 38 due to that same fire in LA county the bridge fire growing to around 800 acres in size firefighters desperately trying to hold back The Inferno helicopters and planes flying over the Flames dropping water and fire retardant to beat back the blaze meanwhile in Northern California authorities racing to shepher residents to safety as the boils fire causes mandatory evacuations need to evacuate all of 18th Avenue from Highway 53 All the Way East record-breaking temperatures dry vegetation and Gusty winds creating the perfect environment for wildfires like these to grow out of control we have not only the heat wave we're getting these thunderstorms that create their own weather and blow the fire in all different directions well extreme heat has made for some challenging condition for firefighters here on the ground over the last few days with triple digit temperatures that extreme heat expected to continue today before the region finally gets a break later this week
