we're more than halfway through the regular season and playoff spots are filling up let's take a look at the playoff standings starting from the bottom up with contenders this is the bottom 12 uh positions here and I want to start this before we got into the next piece because there's so many guys here that I think could win a race yet this year especially knowing that Daytona Falls second to last race absolutely when you look at this I I'll just I'll just go through but there's eight guys here St hos another Stuart hos Daytona winner Daytona winner guy that really drafts well another Daytona winner here's another guy that really I mean when I get done here I've got seven of them up here already a Woods Brothers car here that's eight anybody else you see here well I'd like to talk about this one I think you know for us on the 77 team we feel like we we've consistently been making progress and we really just focus on trying to get our program better but you know if the right opportunity present itself I feel like Carson and our team is strong enough to potentially steal a victory if if we find our in the right situation I agree with you I want to leave that one for you to say but uh got taken out of Daytona nothing of your own doing early uh but but Carson has been just phenomenal this year just continuing not looking like a rookie he he's coming forward be interested to see where that all plays out here's the here's the 12 that we would focus on six out six in you've got the the blue here right now if it ended today they would be the last six in but really when you look at this knowing that we've got nine races left where do you feel like the cut line really is in this in this picture to me it looks like it's about right here and the interesting thing is you've got these cars they're all almost tied for points they're within a five fiveo range right there so the cut lines right here you got these guys really tight none of these guys can feel super comfortable I feel like you've got to leave these two spots open because of having Daytona and and having Chicago you know we don't know what Indie looks like anything can happen at those races and there's a good chance that somebody back over here in the red behind this positions ends up getting a win yeah I wouldn't I wouldn't be surprised at all to see a win come out of one of these three cars right here I just feel like all three of them have been winners in the past couple of them are are you know multi-time Champions to see that come out and take one spot away and then to your point Daytona and Chicago there could be an outlier win at those two places if we come back and and we put your your cut line you had in here this is your this is your cut line where do you feel like and I guess I'll I'll take it I feel like anybody below this line they have to win yeah I I feel the same way you know I think that when you look at at the at the point deficit between where Kyle is all the way up to Alex Bowman that's that's really the amount of points that you're looking at and so you know you you eliminate those last couple uh point in positions now we're now we're looking at being 97 points out so that's where I think that um these guys have to really start thinking about a must-win scenario definitely anybody but I think from Kyle Bush on back have to I think Joey Lano has been talking about that for weeks that uh they've got to they've got to get a win he he actually made the comment they got to get a win by New Hampshire
