where six hostages were gunned down by the Hamas captors as Israeli forces were closing in for a possible rescue as Chris Mitchell now reports from Jerusalem the video reveals their last moments after nearly a year in captivity we're going to go down into the tunnel shaft 20 M below where the hostages were murdered Chief IDF spokesman reare Admiral Daniel hagari described the scene they were here in this tunnel in horrific conditions where there is no air to breathe where you cannot stand and they survived but they were murdered by terrorists this is their blood this is the blood of H and then careli almog and Alex they were Heroes and they were here in this tunnel for weeks or days we will find out hagari reminded viewers that there are up to 101 hostages still remaining in Hamas hands with an unknown number still alive in a videotaped message Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he is doing everything he can to return the hostages and win the war Israel's hostage Envoy gal hirs told Bloomberg News Israel has offered Hamas leader Yaya sinir safe passage out of Gaza if his terrorist group will give up power there that could lead to freedom for the rest of the hostages and the end of the war meanwhile Netanyahu is blasting an international criminal court prosecutor after he urged the court this week to immediately issue arrest warrants for netan and his defense minister for war crimes in Gaza nanyo calling that quote pure anti-Semitism for its own sake and moral disgrace of the first order saying the Court's proceedings are quote politically biased but a different action Tuesday from Switzerland's lower house of parliament which voted to immediately suspend funding for unra the United Nations relief and agency the Swiss Senate must still approve it the lawmaker behind the legislation told the Jerusalem Post in unra schools children are taught to hate Jews and Israel if terrorism is glorified anti-Semitism is stoked and violence is incited in ous schools then one should not ask why a cruel Act of Terror like that of October 7th could have occurred Chris Mitchell CBN News Jerusalem here at home home vice president Kamala Harris and former president Donald Trump met face to face for the first time ever on the debate stage in Philadelphia Tuesday night there were plenty of compelling moments but did it change the race cbn's Chief political analyst David Brody has the story now from Philadelphia kamla Harris right from the get-go kamla Harris came out aggressive intent on getting under Donald Trump's skin and she didn't let up people start leaving his rallies early Donald Trump was fired by 81 million people so let's be clear about that and clearly he is having a very difficult time processing that I have talked with military leaders some of whom worked with you and they say you're a disgrace it seemed to work as Trump appeared angry and frustrated for much of the debate while he talked a lot about his signature issue of immigration he also veered off course talking about a recent unverified story of Haitian immigrants Ohio repeatedly eating dogs and other pets in Springfield they're eating the dogs the people that came in they're eating the cats they're eating they're eating the pets of the people that live there and this is what's happening in our country ABC News did reach out to the city manager there uh he told us there have been no credible reports of specific claims of pets being harmed injured or abused by individuals I've seen people on television asual policy Harris didn't offer much including on the economy which is the number one issue for voters she doesn't have a plan she copied Biden's plan and it's like four sentences like Run Spot Run four sentences that are just oh we'll try and lower taxes Trump also pointed out her change in positions in 2020 to new more moderate ones such as emphasizing immigration enforcement everything that she believed three years ago and four years ago is out the window she's going to My Philosophy now in fact I was going to send her a Maga hat Harris though push back especially when Trump tried to Define her position on Israel but when she mentions about Israel all of a sudden she hates Israel she wouldn't even meet with Netanyahu when he went to Congress to make a very important speech she refused to be there because she was at a sority party of hers she wanted to go to the sority party she hates Israel that's absolutely not true through I have my entire career and life supported Israel and the Israeli people he also tried to paint her as a radical on the Second Amendment and fracking this is a radical left liberal that would do this she wants to confiscate your guns and she will never allow fracking in Pennsylvania if she won the election fracking in Pennsylvania will end on day one Tim Walls and I are both gun owners we're not taking anybody's guns away so stop with the continuous lying about this stuff Harris then sought to turn the tables and go on offense against Trump on abortion if Donald Trump were to be reelected he will sign a National Abortion ban understand in his project 2025 there would be a National Abortion a monitor that would be monitoring your pregnancies your miscarriages thank you vice president Harris well there she goes again it's a lie I'm not signing a ban afterwards Trump surc gets filled the spin room expressing major concern about a liberal of questions from the debate moderators calling it a three-on-one Ambush it's my view that the moderators ruined this debate and I think it prevented us from being able to analyze what each candidate did or didn't Harris surr gets shot back conservatives were saying this was a three-on-one debate that's the spin tonight uh you know that's what losing campaigns say but don't tell that to the former president who made a surprise stop in the spin room to say he had the best debate ever despite the moderators the moderators were very unfair but it basically was three onone and but I thought they were very unfair and cbn's chief uh political analyst David broy joins us now with more so David what are your thoughts on last night's debate look uh Donald Trump needed to be laser focused last night and he was anything but uh it was a not it was not a good performance by Donald Trump whatsoever uh efim KLA Harris did very very very well look were the moderators biased yes I mean this just in a liberal media network is biased we all knew that it may have been three onone uh but I think that deflect from the overall headline here and the overall headline is that kamla Harris came in prepared she was ready to go from a strategic standpoint from a stylistic standpoint she made no Mi really no mistakes I mean she was able to turn every single question to her Advantage uh look there were a lot of uh uh things that she did on that stage that she told yes she told lie quite a few lies uh but ABC didn't fact check her on any of it but they were factchecking Donald Trump in real time all night she didn't answer quite a few questions and ABC wouldn't do the appropriate followup so there was all of that but the bottom line is look efim when you're talking about eating dogs and cats and Haitian immigrants you're losing the debate he never talked about the border wall specifically about how she was against the border wall and now she's using a border wall inside uh campaign ads that she's running currently uh I think it was a disastrous night for Donald Trump how do you think this debate will impact the upcoming election though well here's the good news for Donald Trump E from I don't think it's going to I don't think it's going to impact uh the uh race all that much and here's why we live in a polarized Society we live in a obviously the kind of a conservative liberal 50-50 split everybody's kind of made up their mind yes there are some folks on the margins and this race could be one and will be one on the margins having said that uh look I I think bottom line is that the cake has been a little bit baked here for a while on the economy on immigration on those two key issues that Donald Trump does very well at cona Harris had no uh answers on the economy last night of course she didn't have any answers on immigration and if she doesn't come up with answers on those uh she's going to be in for a world of hurt uh politically uh November what points do you think were missed during the debate well look they didn't bring up anything about gender uh they didn't bring anything up about Joe Biden and why exactly is kamla Harris the nominee if kamla Harris believes that Joe Biden uh is mentally fit uh to do the job in other words why is she president then so so I think there was that uh and there were a few other issues as well but I think overall uh ABC News was really giving k layup after layup and I think that was a big storyline last night as well what do you think the Harris and Trump campaigns need to do at this point as we are inching ever so closely to the actual voting day I'm going to be honest with you E from at this point it's all about blocking and tackling in other words getting out the vote on both sides as we talked about just or as I just said a few or about a minute or so ago we live in a polarized society and that means more than ever you have to get out the base it's always been about getting out the base and enthusiasm but in this America that we live in now you've got to do the blocking and tackling making sure your people are coming to the polls they're getting out early and they're bringing friends on both sides uh that's going to make the difference all right David Brody cbn's Chief political analyst thank you so much in Louisiana filling sandbags and readying their homes as hurricane Francine barrels toward the Gulf Coast I think the fact that we've been spared most the Seas from any major storm it's like uh now people are ready to go and getting getting planning mode and help each other out Francine strengthening last night to a category one hurricane reaching 75 mph winds she's expected to make landfall southwest of New Orleans we going to get through this because I'm staying I'm not leaving this year I'm not leaving because I don't think it's going to be that that great of a deal up to one foot of rain is projected for parts of Louisiana President Biden declaring a state of emergency for the state Paving the way for federal support storm surge could reach 10 ft along parts of the Louisiana coast and flash flooding is a concern for people in Louisiana and Mississippi today by tomorrow the heavy rain is expected to move north to Arkansas Missouri Tennessee and Kentucky Jenna Browder CBN life is Battle lights a fire in the team and sends them to the Little League World Series it happened back in 2002 two see how they win despite what the scoreboard said we move into the 11th inning oh de all right son you got to keep your eyes open technically he didn't drop it it dropped him Robert when did you know that your your story here was was a movie uh yeah good good question good to see someone so car about the spirit of baseball what else in life is there Sam I'd say we're looking pretty whooped here right we talking about we still got a chance I think it was around November of 2019 uh coach John Kelly who was the manager of the Westside All-Star team gave me a call said hey can you have lunch next Thursday uh at my house coach got a proposition for you you manage the all stars and make a run the Little League World Series I managed the worst team in the league you got 10 days to whip these boys into shape 2 and 1/2 hours later after uh tears and laughter uh I think we all agreed that we were going to try to try to do a movie oh wow let's go not bad right the game can change with just one hit dad go get Mom go get Mom help where do we go from here depends how hard you choose to fight there's nothing and it makes me feel better than watching your own play ball what do you remember most looking back at your dad uh in that time yeah my dad always had a smile he was obviously going through some intense treatments with melanoma skin cancer uh he had a positive attitude he always asked how we were doing how the guys were doing uh I think he obviously you'll see it in the movie but there's a lot of Joy it gave him a lot of uh purpose to come to our games and to continue to fight his C his uh cancer battle and uh just just really great memories I mean I don't think there's a I don't think I could draw up a better uh last summer to spend with with my [Applause] dad if we could just win for him I know he could get better ob's always been there for us not time we're there for him 1 2 how would you describe the relationship between you and Dad oh it was the best right I mean it uh it's been a while he he passed away 21 years ago and um my memories of my dad are fantastic and and I think that's one of the reasons why we're okay with this uh all happening right we don't don't have bad memories do we have sad memories yeah he was battling cancer so did we did we see him at times that um were sad sure yeah of course but my memories of my my dad are are just spectacular uh he taught me a lot only had him for 13 years um but but he really taught me a lot and made the most of his time here here on Earth and made the most of his time as our dad beautiful now your dad wrote you a letter correct yeah my my dad wrote me a letter um and uh I've I uh I I continued to uh now I'm writing my I have two boys now Wyatt and Henry Wyatt's three and Henry's 10 months old and uh I'm writing them a few letters here here and there now but my dad wrote me a a really cool letter that I'll have forever he had a list of things he wanted to teach me and some of them were faith-based and how to be a a man of Faith some of them were things that he never got to teach me because his time here was cut short and there were things um about being a dad one day or being a husband that he mentions that that obviously he never got to teach me um but it's really neat that he took the time to lay out um these principles um that he wanted to pass on to us and or to me and that I uh that I've gotten to share with my brother and that hopefully uh I'll do a good job if I can do half as good of a job as my dad did with us in that short period of time with my boys then then I think I'll do okay what do you hope people take away from you sharing story yeah great question few of the things are hey if we can strengthen people to believe in God and strengthen people to have a relationship with with Christ um and lead people to Christ then then that is important two I think it's I think we're hoping people walk away knowing that if they believe they can accomplish anything they want we hope that people walk away and they really start to believe not only in God but also in themselves and then thirdly like if we can if we can bring a dad and a son back together maybe there's a there's a relationship that's um that's struggling maybe it's two brothers that um you know just are going through a tough time maybe it brings them closer if we can help people believe in God we can help relationships improve uh and help people believe in themselves and I think we accomplish a lot we never expect to be in this situation but here we are they can beat the odds so can I it's just a game Bobby it's more than [Music] that you got to believe is available right now
