expectations for Caleb Williams said they're phase two of this thing now the last couple years we're about building up this roster now it's about being a playoff team so that's uh that's exciting we got Albert and Richmond Trump and Tampa Donald and South Bend dark Cobra at Soldier Field nice Jeff Sam boom as well Spencer in Indiana uh I know Michael I know you'll see my guy uh Isaiah though our mailbag episode that went out today we're not really going to talk about it on today's live show unless you guys ask about it in today's Q&A section but would you trade two first round picks for Mikel Parsons I'm just curious would you do that type y for yes type in for no I'm going to make that the live poll question would you trade two first for Micah Colin I'm curious would you do that right now yes you would do it I would 100% look Micah you know if you're trading two first round picks for him you're also trading for the extension that comes with it and you're also trading for the player which I think he's one of if not the best pass rushers in football I think Micah would transform this defense from you know Hey listen it could be a really good defense this year to potentially one of the elite defenses in the National Football League and potentially who knows how far they could go and he's a young guy he could build with your young core I think he's phenomenal and I think once he gets paid like any other potential like you know or any concerns about him would go away so I do think I think we've talked about this I think the Bears are for sure a top 10 defense there's a scenario where they're top five I I think if Parsons was on it you could argue that being the best defense in the league is on the table like I I I mean where's the weakness I guess you'd still have some questions about defensive tackle but we know Billings is a good uh one Tech and like if you have sweat and Parsons like as long as your three Tech doesn't just suck like that person's going to get a lot of good opportunities and dvon Dexter linebackers are good secondary's good like what you don't want to do is khil Mack yourself and make a trade like this before you have the quarterback and I get we haven't seen Caleb play yet but I feel like we feel pretty good about him compared to Mitch trabis at the time like if Caleb is who we think he is and you could get Micah Parsons like it's not off the table that you're a highlevel contender this year forg Beyond this year so it's it's tempting I don't I don't really think he's available right now but if he becomes available it it you'd have to at least consider it if you were Chicago no doubt about it no doubt about it yeah no for sure I think and again too like you could really you know frontload the contract you know kind of manipulate it to where you lines up with you know whenever you hope and plan to pay Caleb excuse me couldn't speak there but uh yeah I think it'd be a great addition and yeah best defense in the foot uh National Football League they'd be in the mix they'd be in the mix I think it's hard to put them in like that best in the league talk right now but I think they're like right at the top of like that next tier like I think somewhere between five and 10 is on the table uh but if you added Micah I mean there's basically no weaknesses not only are there no weaknesses there's I mean there's strengths everywhere you're you're just loaded so um it's it's interesting is absolutely interesting uh Michael uh I see your 50 I'm not sure if it's pulling or not calling not pulling right now I'll read it he says calling if they get him he gets injured and then you have nothing to show for it you would be okay giving away draft Capital can't do it I mean that's the reality of any trade though um yeah he's been durable he's in his mid 20s like no trade is bulletproof safe but like if he's healthy and his even if he doesn't get better which you would think he's going to keep getting better for at least a few more years if he's exactly what he is right now for four years 5 years for you and he's still good for a couple years after that like I mean you're you're talking about one of the best defensive players forget just pass rushers in the league so yeah it's risky Michael though I there's no doubt but every trade is so yeah no 100% and uh he said he also I would backload that man front loading is what they did with multiple other players sh SMH they didn't work out and again that's something that you know if with Parson you hope obviously a he's healthy and a and b he produces that's something you just have to assume though with any trait I mean if you're going to go ahead and go through with it you know knock on wood you hope every player uh is healthy and plays up to their potential so look and you can manipulate the cap I'm sure PS could do a really good job of that um but it's just I for me personally two first- round picks is a lot of draft Capital but for a player like Michael Parson's uh caliber I think it's worth it personally yeah I mean it's it's fascinating to think about no doubt about it predict the score Bears Titans 10 days away who you got winning hopefully the bears bear down and what is that score going to be we'll get some shout outs going here uh in the chat um get those score someone says mik Is Not Great against the Run he's not great but he's still really good and guess what Montes sweat is one of the best Edge setting run defensive ends in the league so then like it takes a little pressure off him to produce as a high high level pass rusher he can just be like your number two pass rusher but your dominant Edge Setter yeah not to mention he's so versatile he can also play other positions on the F too yeah like Micah you can drop in him into coverage if you need to sometimes like you can do all kinds of stuff with them Bryan says 2817 Bears James 23113 dark Cobra 2713 Lawrence 277 Ron 2710 Kevin 2117 Truman 30-1 bears by a million I love it Beck uh we got Bears 3417 from snow gang Mike FR 3217 Bears Spencer 2417 Ron 2813 Carter 31 to 13 all right Michael Horowitz we already read this first one uh we appreciate that Hunter young getting in on the action as well he says do you think the Bears are overrated properly rated or underrated I mean I guess it depends who you ask right like some like Nick Wright has them going to the Super Bowl some people don't think they're a playoff team I think if you're in the camp like I've been for the most part and I'm going to we're going to have bold predictions today so stay tuned where you think they're a playoff team probably not a Super Bowl team I think that range of either making the playoffs are very slightly Miss like I think that's a fair rating like NFC is tough for this year division's tough but they went from three to seven wins could have won nine or 10 last year like I think winning nine plus games is a fair expectation like I feel like that's a properly rated preseason rating for this team with the ceiling to be better but with the rookie quarterback you never know maybe goes sideways a little bit as well um I think if you're in the camp of they're like a wild card caliber team that's probably like a fair kind of estimation there yeah I mean just looking up a quick you know Google search they're over under for wins is eight and a half so I mean it's they had if you have like nine or 10 yeah maybe you're a little bullish on them but like you know I I like yeah if you're sitting there saying they're going to go 13 and four based on projections you're probably overvaluing them but there's all that's the the beauty of the NFL col there's going to be some teams that outperform expectations underperform like on average in this new uh NFL with 14 playoff teams there's usually seven new playoff teams every year so like you have new teams cycling in year in and year out and the Bears are due to be a playoff team there there's no question Michael again what a legend he said 670 to score at some guy that said the Bears fans are delusional as cow as Cowboy fans I ignoring only disagreed yeah like I think every fan base is can be delusional at times we're all guilty of that but I Dallas fans tend to be up there not even there there there's no doubt now they've had some good teams no question but yeah I I don't see how you could say Bears fans are more delusional than Cowboys fans now Dallas has obviously been the better team in the last decade but I don't think Bears fans every year for the last 20 years have said they're a super old caliber team whereas a lot large percentage of Cowboys fans think that year in and year out so this is our year this is this is it this is our year this is it check it out check it out papy Chulo sit says Bears first Bears second 2026 fourth Tyler Scott for Micah yeah I mean look I I I think if the Cowboys opened up discussions I think they would start with two ones I think if you're another team you probably start with like a one and a three and then you start to try to get to the middle do you have to get all the way to two ones or could it be like a one and a two a one a three and a player a one a two and a lesser player like you know let's just say tomorrow Mike is available could you get him for your first that Carolina 2 and like khil Herbert they could use another running back which has day three pick value so you're probably talking like a one or two and like a five or six like does that get you over the Finish Line because I would probably be okay with that cullin because you'd still have your own second this year so you kind of view it as like okay that Carolina trade from way back win it also helped us get Micah Parsons and um you only lose out on this next year's first so you know it if you could do it that way the extra second round pick kind of gives you more ammunition especially considering it's Carolina's to be aggressive in a potential trade that could pop up so yeah and I mean you know when I was saying earlier I would pay two first round picks that's assuming like you know the Bears got in a bidding war and that's what it would take a lot of teams be interested in this guy 100% so I mean if you could get him for a first second you know a fourth Tyler Scott whatever the deal might be yeah or whomever and it's I think that would be a great deal for the Bears and uh listen man you're going to get to a point if everything works out where where the Bears are going where Caleb Williams hits you know you have romad dun coming in he develops you know you have this offensive line that eventually hopefully will get figured out at least they they've got the tackles booked in and I I feel like it's starting to round together a little bit obviously Center and Right Guard are questions but it should be at least better than what it's been and it it may be you know something where like again we saw with the Texans this off season right they had that incredible rookie year from CJ strad made the playoffs you know got to the SEC or the divisional round ultimately came short they loaded up on players they you know traded for Stefan digs they got to Neil Hunter that's going to be kind of the situation the Bears could find themselves in next off season now will they make it you know 10 days like you said before uh week one probably not but it's something just to kind of keep in the back of your mind of like okay where are we now because you know you know teams that are you know trying to compete for Super Bowls picks versus players it becomes kind of an interesting debate in my opinion so yeah we'll see where they at or where they're going to be it should no doubt about it well said uh oh shout out Michael he just now now Ryan poles sets his expectations for Caleb Williams what are they will react to injury updates before week one Brett rippen heading to the Minnesota Vikings Bears practice squad being finalized so got a lot of news and notes to get to here on this show but first I want to hear it I want to get your score predictions in for the next 10 days we're asking score predictions in the comments who's going to win what's the final score going to be Bears Titans week one 10 days from now drop those scores down below all right Ryan poles had his post uh roster cutdown day press conference on Wednesday and I thought he said something pretty interesting when asked about what his expectations are for Caleb Williams this year and um this is is kind of just a snippet of what he said he said I want him to lean on the talent around him and when the time is right that's when you go do the special things and I I've kind of alluded to this but I'll say it again here finding that balance for Caleb Williams is going to be key is going to be important and really among the coaches as well finding the balance of kind of almost when to encourage him to be more aggressive and calling plays that would lend him to be more aggressive like getting him on the move which we saw Shane Waldren do several times in the pre-season uh because PS is right like he does not need to go out there and be Superman there was a lot of pieces uh on this offense this year where Caleb Williams can you know just be a distributor get the ball out to his receivers dump it off to his backs and tight ends like you got plenty of guys that can go make plays but like any other game in the NFL there's always going to come a moment where hey if you got special quarterback you need him to go be special and that's kind of what I want to see I don't want Caleb to be afraid to make a mistake so I feel like by the end of Justin's time in Chicago especially like the LA that last year in particular like he just got so he used it the word himself robotic he was afraid to make a mistake he wouldn't pull the trigger like it's okay to throw an interception you're a rookie quarterback in the NFL find the time to take those risks but let it rip play Within the off offense the structures there for a reason but what makes this guy special is what he can do that isn't taught the offs script plays hey pressure's coming I'm bailing out and I'm throwing a 50-yard piss missile to co K against Buffalo in the preseason like he needs to do those things now doesn't need to do it 20 times a game doesn't need to feel like he's at USC and my defense is so bad I got to make every play feel like it's it's a must score and something he said all preseason long he he was asked what is the number one thing you've taken away from this preseason he said that our defense is really good and he's got to know that in the back of his head like hey yes I don't want him to be too safe but it's okay to throw the ball out of bounds punting the ball at times is going to be fine balance is key but I just hope that walr and Flo Carrie Joseph these guys are encouraging him like Hey be you as a player like you can't be someone you're not as a player um you know I I don't want to use the Patrick Mahomes comp cuz they are different but Patrick Mahomes early on was a little more aggressive than he has been the last couple years last few years he kind of learned how to be a pocket guy and distribute get the ball out because teams kind of played two deep safeties and took away some of the explosive plays Caleb early on like he's going to have to learn on the fly to be a pocket guy over years he's obviously going to do it some early but the first couple years he's probably going to be bailing out more and making plays on the move and that's okay because that's what he's a lead at right now over time he'll continue to get Elite hopefully at the other things then he's the full package which is what a guy like Mahomes Josh Allen what they are at this point in their careers how confident are you in Caleb Williams scale from 0o to 10 zero being not at all he sucks 10 being extremely for a rookie I feel pretty good I'm at like a 78 79 I won't quite jump in the eight range we got to see it in the regular season but I feel good about where he is I Like The Vibes around this team as a whole I'm pretty confident in Caleb Willam right now all right Scott Daly has officially signed to the practice squad uh and we do have full clarity on the Bears practice squad so we can kind of run through that real quick here uh you guys knew about the most of these guys already these were some of the initial ones Reed Johnson Carlson benedet and Jake Curran uh Byron coward they added Sam Roberts that's a new one there they cut Deshawn mallerie and quindell Johnson Jam chroma's in the mix Mich Baskerville Carl Jones Jr few more here ready Stewart Road torren we knew about Samari T is official now by the way the wide receiver coming over uh from Green Bay and um we mentioned Scott Daly The Long Snapper who's going to be elevated for week one we'll see what their plan is after week three because you can only elevate a player up to three times off the practice squad so they'll have to open up a roster spot on the 53 eventually also Chris Glazer uh in addition as well uh as an offensive line guy who can play both guard and Center uh we already we already got this uh uh Callin these became official uh earlier today Tori and Sam Roberts so uh the clarity was that these injury notes were from Wednesday's practice um uh Thursday was more of a closed situation but Kevin byard was back in full action so that was good to see Bates was back out there he's been dealing with the shoulder injury he was limited more of a ramp up situation since he's missed a lot of time but looks like he's tracking to be ready for week one zap Pickins did not practice neither Keenan Allen Ryan PO says Allen is fine he was had a cleat issue the week prior so his foot's been a little sore but uh he was on the bike off to the side should be good to go uh I do think Pickins is the one to watch like he I think he there's a good chance he's going to miss week one which uh Adam schfer reported with the Sam Roberts practice squad signing he could be a guy that gets elevated for week one to provide interior depth there so uh that is part of the thinking on that one but uh other than zap Pickins this team's pretty healthy right right now and uh knock on wood that continues who uh I would have liked to return to the practice squad but um he was holding out for a 53 man roster opportunity elsewhere and he got one the Minnesota Vikings cut jiren Hall and signed Brett rippen as a third quarterback to their 53 and look good for him I he had a strong preseason if Tyson bent wasn't a highlevel backup who doesn't cost any money I I would have been perfectly fine with him as a backup but bent just has more value and I think the Bears are just too deep on their roster to to carry a third guy on their 53 had rippen not found a home on a 53 elsewhere I think bringing him back on the practice squad would have been a real Pro possibility but um I'm happy for him this is a guy who's bounced around a lot and uh I think he's worthy of being on a 53 man roster now I wish it wasn't in the division uh because uh he could provide uh some um you know some uh some tidbits about what the Bears are trying to accomplish but I think we kind of overvalue that stuff anyway oh they're signing a x player because he could provide Intel like they can just change some signals it's not that big of a deal but uh yeah good for him um I thought he was worthy of being on a team and look Sam darnold like it wouldn't shot me at some point if Brett rippen's playing this year for the Vikings so uh we'll see how that all pans out obviously Austin Reed is back on the Bears got you covered all right here we go it is mailbag time here on Bears now my name is Harrison Graham let's roll de Bears 24 kicking off our mailbag saying are we overlooking the Titans in week one it's a good question and when the schedule came out I was like okay this is a very manageable opening game one you should win and I still feel that way I still think uh you should win this game the Bears are favored four and a half points which is pretty significant point spread in an NFL game especially week one it's not a massive one but a lot of NFL games are you know less than three points this one's four and a half over under 43 and a half um but the talents have some Talent they spent some money they brought in guys like Calvin Ridley and lerus needed we'll see if DeAndre Hopkins is ready week one it's going to be right on the bubble there um I think their defensive line obviously they have Jeffrey Simmons who's great o Line's got question mark they drafted JC leam but uh lot to prove there overall and their biggest question mark is clearly behind a you know other than maybe a first year coaching staff is Will Levis will Levis was all over the place last year in nine games um so a couple weeks he looked awesome like that crazy comeback against Miami I mean he literally looked like pton Manning they erased a 15-point deficit in the final three minutes uh but I think the stats kind of tell the story erratic accuracy some good some bad and you know below average QB rating I do think week one is massive for morale just after what happened last year starting 0 and four and you make all these changes this year like you need to get off to a good start this is as close to a must-win game in the NFL as you're going to see because if you lose week one you're on the road in Houston in week two doesn't mean you couldn't come back and win that game in week two but that's a tough ask after losing to an inferior team compared to Houston in Tennessee at home in week one so I I I think you need to win this game you can't Overlook them they've got some talent but you should win so hopefully that ends up happening what is your confidence level in week one scale from 0 to 10 zero being again not confident at all 10 being very confident I'll go 8-1 I feel good but it's week one you don't know how these teams are going to come out you got to play well you got to play smart and um it's a rookie quarterback's first start there's there's no guarantees here Hunter young appreciate the Super Chat he says do you think the Bears are overrated properly rated or underrated I think if you averaged it all out properly rated I think if you took all the big National media heads takes the average would be somewhere like yeah they're a fringe playoff team like they could be a wild card team something like that you've got the extreme like Nick Wright picking them to make the Super Bowl you've got some people still thinking they're like a 6 seven win team like the averag is yeah they should win like8 nine 10 games nine or 10 is probably the most commonly uh used one um so I I think properly is fair they're over unders 8 and a half if most people have them around nine wins it's it's kind of right on the money so um you know I'll have my official record prediction before week one but uh yeah that's that's kind of where I think it stands right now Kevin Bates who will have the best season of the wide receivers it's good question uh I would lean DJ he's still young he's going to give you a lot of yards after the catch obviously they just pay him um I could see Keenan getting more targets I could see Rome being the biggest big play guy like the vertical guy so I think they're all going to have their roles but I I think DJ's the safe bet but I could see a scenario where it's any of the three I I really do think that you know Courtney cron and a vspn wrote an article about this is not your you know typical number three receiver in romad dun like his draft profile is of becoming a number one receiver at some point he just happens to play with DJ Moore and Keenan Allen so you got three dudes that can really play really talented and that's exciting that's exciting to see we'll be live for Bears versus Titans just like we'll be live for every single game this year hopefully some playoff games as well subscribe and join us if you turn on those game one well I took the more on his passing yards and prize pick so at least 237 passing yards um I think he'll throw for Mid 200s 245 250 uh how about this 245 passing two touchdowns one pick he'll rush for like 35 yards I I I I think he'll be between 275 and 300 total yards couple of touchdowns one turnover think it'll be a good debut don't think it'll be just insane but uh I I think he'll kind of ease his way in and put together a solid performance l does K Jenkins need to play at least 12 plus games to earn an extension despite his injuries I mean I think it needs to be more than 12 like I said it the other day I think if he can give you 14 or more where when he's healthy he's dominant and he misses three games at most I'd feel comfortable pushing forward with an extension knowing that he's probably going to miss time most years but uh you know if it's 10 11 12 it's like maybe you franchise tag him maybe sign like a one-year incentive Laden deal if he's willing to uh agree to that you know if he Mi misses six games it's like I love the guy but if he's going to miss 35% of the snaps every year that's that that's a lot to deal with when it comes to paying a paying a guard a lot of money and you guys saw the guard Market this year it exploded and tev's more talented than a lot of the guys that got paid so he's going to cost a lot of money if he's healthy uh so you got to see him be healthy let's get the Good Vibes rolling baby bear down in the comments I don't care if you type it out use the emojis whatever let's get the Vibes up as we get closer and closer to week one of Bears versus Titans let's go school stuff what's a Gordon extension look like uh 40 million plus well we got to see this year play out he's not eligible till after this season but yeah I mean if he had if he plays like he looked in the pre-season I mean can you get him like 10 to 12 million per year on a three or four-year deal like it is four for 50 on the table that's what Cole K got it tied in that'd be 12 a half a year like I'd probably do that for a high level nickel if he plays well this year he plays The Run he plays the pass he's athletic as hell he's a you know seemingly becoming kind of a leader so yeah I mean I think really good nickel Corners can make 10 plus million a year and he could certainly fit that mold Craig Atkins hash Bears or Super Chat he says how many returns will the Bears have in the new kickoff format I mean I'd just be guessing at at an actual number because there's a lot of factors that go into that how many return opportunities do they get in the game how many points are scored yada y y um it'll definitely be more although I kind of have a theory that by like week four or five at least half the league is just going to tell their kicker to start booting it out of the end zone because I I I feel like in the preseason more often than not these returns were getting past the 30 and if the average is going to be past the 30 why wouldn't you just kick it for a Touchback to the 30 new touchbacks the 30 not the 25 so iel see teams try to pin teams back early but if that's ineffective they're just going to start booming it deep so we'll see It'll be up Craig I'm not as convinced it'll be as much up as people think Jeremy JD dorsy over under 150 rushing yards for veis this year it's a good number um gosh if if you're I mean if if if khalil's here and doesn't get moved at all I mean how many opportunities is he going to get a game like I think logic would take the under but if there's even one injury to your running back room he'd probably get some touches so I don't know guys get hurt at running back khil missed some time last year I'll take the over how about like between 175 and 200 but I don't think like we're getting like a 500 yard veis Jones rushing season DC Viper gets the final word on this mailbag he says do you think the Bears are going to see what they have in Booker before they make any moves trades Etc do you see him starting this year well they already made the one the Daryl Taylor trade but yeah I think Booker's going to get opportunities I I think he earned those in the preseason Eber flu said opposite of Montes sweat you're going to see a heavy rotation there Taylor's going to play Walker's going to play he'll kick inside some Booker's going to play so um I think Booker will get looks and you know think Justin Fields is returning kicks although I do think you'd be good at it like uh but uh yeah I don't uh I don't foresee that happening and uh yeah Justin's the backup quarterback right now so we'll see uh we'll see what his future holds but we're focused on the here on the now and uh that's on Caleb Williams and this team currently speaking of which we are going to talk about Caleb and the Bears a little bit more here a mindblowing stat that caught my attention we're going to talk about it right now the Chicago Bears joined an exclusive company based on what they did in the NFL preseason this is mindblowing and if history continues that means the Bears at minimum will be a playoff team we're going to break it all down here on Chicago Bears now my name is Harrison Graham and I want to hear from you if you think the Bears are going to make the playoffs like this video hit that thumbs up icon if you think the Bears are a playoff team this year I think they're going to be a playoff team you should think they're going to be a playoff team if you do hit that like button [Music] are the Chicago Bears playoff Bound for the first time since 2020 we're going to discuss that my name is Harrison Graham the Bears went plus 68 in the preseason and uh according to this is actually a type on my part in the last 15 years only six other teams have done that meant to say that since not since 2015 last 15 years and all six of those teams went to the playoffs these were the six teams the 2009 Saints plus 69 2011 Detroit Lions plus 67 2012 Seahawks plus 78 2013 Seahawks plus 73 2014 Broncos plus 62 2019 Ravens plus 66 and like I said all six of those teams made the postseason at minimum and I know we live in this different world guys don't play uh guys in the preseason that much but this seems to be a trend and I think there is something to be said for a team just dominating in the pre-season which the Bears certainly did so I'm going to break all these teams down and we'll kind of just talk at the end about you know do the Bears fit the bill that these teams did 2009 Saints if you remember they started 13 and0 people freaked out cuz they lost their last three games but uh they were kind of just coasting they end up winning the whole thing won the division won Super Bowl 44 over the Colts and pton Manning of course Drew Brees was fantastic that year uh with uh his production at the quarterback position and uh Shawn pyton getting his first Super Bowl Breeze getting his only Super Bowl uh that was obviously a hell of a season for that team and I think you're going to see a theme uh with quarterbacks on this list uh you got to have a pretty good quarterback uh to be a playoff team uh in most cases all right 2011 Lions you guys might be familiar with them Matthew Stafford's first year making the playoffs they went 10 and six that year uh snapped an 11-year playoff drought uh they ended up losing to the Saints uh in the Wild Card round so this is one of the Lesser performing teams on this list but they still made the playoffs right like they were still in the postseason and I think the funnest part about this exercise was kind of seeing how some of these teams performed in players I mean Stafford had an insane season like I I I know a lot of people don't like Stafford uh as Bears fans cuz you know he played in Detroit and all that but I've always respected his game 5,000 yards in 41 touchdowns is crazy uh he was fantastic they had Calvin Johnson of course and uh were able to snap a more than decade playoff drought subscribe and wildcard birth out of the NFC West won a playoff game ended up losing to the Falcons in the divisional round but um there that was a fun team and that was the start of kind of a pretty good run in Seattle and that was Russell Wilson's rookie year and you look back at his rookie numbers here I think for the most part if we saw these numbers from Caleb Williams we'd take them now I think you'd want higher volume passing yards certainly maybe the rushing slightly less passing's a little bit more at least mid 3000s but like completion percentage touchdown to interception ratio being able to do it as a runner as well like if you got something in this ballpark this year out of Caleb I think we'd all be pretty happy and I see a lot of parallels with where that Seahawks team was that year and where the Bears are now rookie back who's talented uh but strength of the team is defense like as excited as we are for Caleb and the offense and it could be really special I do think this Bears has more Raw Talent on offense than that Seahawks team did Seahawks team probably had a little bit more Raw Talent on defense although the Bears talented defensively point is Young rookie quarterback who's talented really good defense like I see the parallels between the two that Seahawks team won 10-11 games won a playoff game could the Bears do something similar this year I think that's on the table 2013 Seahawks the next year who were plus 73 in the preseason a dominant uh exhibition run well a dominant team in the regular season as well 13 and3 won their division the NFC West and won the whole thing that was kind of the peak of the legion of boom as they were able to just dismantle the Broncos and one of the most dominant uh Super Bowl victories in NFL history Russell Wilson that year uh not that much different statistics to be completely honest The Yards went up a couple hundred he ran a little more touchdown interceptions were very similar completion percentage actually down a percentage point but they grew right they're a year older second-year quarterback even if statistically it's similar he's seen more things the defense was a year older like I could see that two-year stretch being this Bears two-year stretch now it would project a lot right to say they're going to win a playoff game with the rookie and then the Super Bowl the next year but I could see that being in the conversation I could see the Bears this year being a team that gets hot at the right time wins a playoff game but then goes into next year being a contender to win the whole thing like Seattle did and they ultimately did win it all I see the parallels there's a lot of similarities defensive head coach uh that players seem to gravitate toward got to go do it Bears haven't uh won Under matlu nearly enough yet but I see the vision could see it come to fruition the 2014 Broncos the next season they were 62 uh won the division and they actually got upset by the Colts in the divisional round after having a first round by Andrew Co that was the Andrew Luck over Payton Manning game they kind of smoked him too it was 28 to 13 but again if the floor is making the playoffs if you're plus 60 or better in the preseason that's pretty awesome Payton Manning that was one of his awesome years in Denver but he did not play well in the postseason which did happen from time to time with pton but uh again you're seeing a them team here that team was also loaded on defense so yeah I uh I definitely think a common denominator is uh occurring here and then you jumped to 2019 in the Baltimore Ravens and people forget just how dominant this team was because they laid an egg against the Titans in the AFC divisional round they went 14-2 won the AFC North Lamar won his first MVP some would argue and it's true from a statistical standpoint easily the best year of his career still now I think he's gotten better as a player over time but just from what he put up I mean he was super accurate he um was crazy efficient with his uh taking care of the ball 6 to1 touchdown interception ratio he had a 1200 yard rushing season like he did it all it it's one of the best individual Seasons from a player in NFL history quarterback or otherwise and they laid an egg against Tennessee Tennessee smoked them but uh again very if you told me right now the Bears would win 14 games and lose in the divisional round I'd probably just sign out for it because that means you're going to be uh feeling really good about where this team is heading moving forward so uh yeah that there you have it six teams that were plus 60 or better since 2009 all at minimum made the playoffs two of them won the Super Bowl that's a 33% chance could the bears raise that number that's protecting a lot but I do feel pretty decent about the Bears playoff chances not just because of this it's kind of just adds more Credence to okay dominant preseason teams that tends to translate to to the regular season I think you know sometimes teams go 3 and 0 but they're playing against teams that aren't playing anybody and they're squeaking out these random wins but the Bears at one point were plus 82 and the Chiefs scored two garbage time touchdowns to bring it down to plus 68 uh they were dominant all preseason long and so I want to ask you guys are the Bears going to make the playoffs this year type why for yes type in for no I think they will and I think this trend continues and again what's the common denominator when you go through these teams they all have an elite or at least very good quarterback you know Russ as a rookie probably wasn't Elite but he was very good um you know Stafford that year was certainly Elite 5,000 plus yards and 40 touchdowns obviously pton Lamar they had special years Drew Brees um you know is Caleb Williams going to have 5,000 yards probably not but again can he be at least what Russ was efficient take care of the ball uh throw for 3,000 plus be a Scrambler when needs be lead on a lean on a good defense like most of those teams had good defenses as well like I think the Bears have the ingredients and if Caleb's good the Bears are going to be good because they have enough Talent on this team and I think we saw that in the preseason especially with the depth like if this team has a couple guys go down they've got depth pieces that can step in and hold their own so uh I'm excited I think there's a lot of reason to believe this team's going to be a playoff team this year and I for one can't wait to see it play out subscribe to the channel we'll cover this team all they blew a couple of four notable fourth quarter leads otherwise they could have been a nine or 10 win team so it's uh it's it's on the table for sure hter young with the super chat then we'll get to our last segment here excuse me shout out Hunter young he says do you think the barrier to entry and Sunday Ticket hurts the NFL because that bad boy is a 500 burger and I bet 20% of America can afford it yeah I you know I think the NFL look they're obviously a very good business they're very smart and I I get all that but it's like I think this is one area where it's like make your product more accessible to all your games like cut it in half like 200 I think most people would be on board with this 250 for full access but then also add a $100 package to watch all of your like one specific team because if you're a Bears fan you know living in Seattle Washington if they're not in prime time you're not going to get their games so get a $100 package for a one team package and then make it like 250 I would buy it every year if it was 250 bucks because 18 weeks of games like that's a pretty good deal that's like what is that quick math con like 12 bucks a week like that seems like a pretty good deal 250 divided by 18 and you're getting at least 10 to 15 games a week like that's it's actually uh 13 13 bucks a week I think Mo I think most people would sign up for that but this crap where the YouTube TV it's like $450 and if you get it through your App Store outside of YouTube TV it's like $700 I I mean it's like this is just extreme now there are some workarounds to it uh obviously if you know somebody in college significantly cheaper so they can just use their email and do that um also they did offer like discounts if you did it by a certain date which I know some fans may or may not know that's also on YouTube TV for not marketing that I did miss that on that on that uh Colin I got to answer this real quick so want me to chop it up yeah Colin's going to chop school like that but um you know obviously always checking I I believe like July 31st they normally kind of like have like a cheaper way to do it um or a cheaper price I should say for it so yeah it's just kind of one of those things though that they need to do a better job and I like Harry's idea to be honest $100 I get whatever team like if you're a Bears fan if you're a Falcons fan like whatever right pay 100 bucks you get all their games and then 250 you get everything I think it's a really good idea so here's a smart guy too so sometimes sometimes all right enough Sunday Ticket it's a ripoff but you know the NFL is a $50 $50 billion doll company for a reason whatever how much they're worth now all right um let's get to our last segment after candy dog Super Chat from Candy dog shout out candy dog saying do you think Jordan love is actually good enough to play 17 good games or do you think he's overpaid and overrated also fgb very unique situation because he basically became the highest paid quarterback off of one good half seon now that half season he was a top five QB in the NFL is that going to continue clearly the Packers think it is I think he's pretty good I I don't think he's going to be like the best quarterback in the league but he looked the part the last two months last year like we have to acknowledge that but we'll see I mean I he's definitely got to prove it on a larger sample size yeah I think we've talked about it before too but the Matt laflor factor I think obviously helps him yeah laflor helps they've got some young weapons I I do think they're going to miss Aaron Jones like I I I especially in the passing game so be curious to see how they combat that does Marshon Lloyd become their pass catcher we'll see but yeah I I I think that's going to be a notable loss but um yeah I think he's good candy but he's certainly going to have to going to prove uh going to have to prove that he can do it for a longer longer period of time because there was real talk among NFL and Packers fans like mid October like uh we're going to have to draft the quarterback cuz he's not any good and then something clicked and he started balling so we'll see which guy we get this year yeah no I think uh I don't know we'll see I think ultimately though I think it'll come down to yeah which half of we have to acknowledge the Packers tend to know quarterbacks so like yeah I mean I mean I hope he's not the guy but yeah I mean it would be as much as you know fans want to disc again Packers fgb forever but they gave this guy the richest contract in they clearly feel really good about him like they've seen enough to where they're willing to give them that money yeah so look I'm I'm sure even they've acknowledged there's some risk there but 100K I mean we are almost there guys appreciate all the support all right my first Bowl prediction I don't think the Bears just make the playoffs I think they win a playoff game I think saying they make the playoffs isn't bold enough like that that's it would be a good thing like it's certainly a prediction and it's not a guarantee but I think bold you got to go at least to playoff win so I think they win one I I I I I look at Houston last year uh we talked about it in our uh video uh that looked at the last six teams that were plus 60 or better in the preseason like Seattle Russell Wilson's rookie year I see a lot of parallels good young talented quarterback uh with a really good defense like I see that here and it's just time the Bears have not won a playoff game since January of 2011 which is just absolutely ridiculous um you know obviously they should have won one WI 2018 we we know what happened there but I think the Bears have the ingredients their quarterback is really talented the skill weapons on offense are very good and proven for the most part the defense is pretty proven and ascending um I think there's enough here to be a playoff team and if you get in the playoffs you got to get the right matchup to have a chance to win a game or two like let's say the Dallas Cowboys win the NFC East as and they're the three or four seed and the Bears are the five or six seed and and they go to Dallas you're telling me that's impossible go win that game you're telling me they can't beat the NFC South champ or maybe the Bears win the division and uh host a playoff game I'm not going to have my official NFC North predictions until closer to game day in week one but uh I have them winning a playoff game so there's a little sneak peek for that all right number two Austin Booker has eight plus sa again we're going pretty bold here for the most part that would be that would be really really impressive you're talking about okay he's probably your other starting defensive been moving forward Beyond this year he had two and a half sacks in the preseason they brought in Daryl Taylor so that could cost him a few snaps again that's why we're going bold here but I saw enough not just from like a motor standpoint which is fantastic but he showed different moves he played with power had a spin move showed a fake kind of outer move and then spun back in and hit the quarterback in one of the games like you saw some different moves that he was able to put on tape and you're like okay like he's not going to like dominate or anything and obviously he's going to go up against starting tackles now but I think he's going to get good situational opportunities like third down pin your ears back take advantage of those snaps um I think eight sacks is possible that's less than half a sacker game so it's bold but it's not outrageous um so yeah I I'm going eight plus sa for Booker and I think that's going to be second best on the team all right number three the Bears lead the NFL in takeaways now it's bold because even if did it the year before to do it again it's 1 and 32 chance right like it's pretty bold I I am acknowledging though that last year they were tied for fourth like they went on a flurry of takeaways the second half of the year once they got Montes sweat they had 28 I think the most was 32 so uh you know let's say it's around that 30 number you got to get almost two per game I think that's more than possible I I know it's preseason but they were getting two three a game pretty easily in these games and we saw it last year if they get some consistent pressure If flu Styles the right blitzes they've got ball Hawks everywhere Tyreek Stevenson four picks a year ago Kyler Gordon has picks on his resume Jaylen Johnson had four picks uh last season so uh the hits principle it's working they're getting the football they're taking it away and if they can do that this year the offense just has to be solid at that point take advantage of those opportunities you're going to win a lot of football games what is your top Bears bold prediction it can be about a player it can be about win total playoff success it could really be anything bears related you got one bold prediction what is it I want to hear it from you let's get to Caleb Williams now Caleb Williams does it he throws for 4,000 yards and I'm just going to lean into this I don't want to shy away from how good this guy can be I'm not going to sit here and say he's going to be a top three quarterback right away but Caleb Williams is more than capable with the arsenal of weapons and with Shane wal to hit 4,000 passing yards I don't want to talk about after this year how the Bears are the only team in the NFL without a 4,000 yard passer they're also the only one without a 30 touchdown passer I'm not predicting that I don't think he'll hit 30 touchdown passes that's that's pretty tough to do not many quarterbacks do that each and every year Bears only only one who haven't done it but it's not like 20 of the 30 teams do it every year but 4,000 yards you see like half the league do that now it's 235.000 yards per game it shouldn't be bold but it's crazy bold for this team cuz they've never done it so I think it gets done I think Caleb Williams does it he hits the 4,000 yard passing number uh I'm just going to lean into it he hits 4K assuming he stays healthy of course and uh we can put that kind of just annual Note to rest Bears can't find a 4,000 yard pass well 2024 Caleb Williams did it that that's what we're going to be saying get yourself a of two it's pretty bold it hasn't happened since 2018 um it's been dominance it it's been absolutely dominant 15 of 16 it's disgusting how one-sided this rivalry has been this this type of stuff is unheard of in the NFL like it it really is divisional opponent should not be this one-sided especially among two historic franchises it's not like we're talking about Packers the Lions or even the Bears in the Lions about Packers and the Bears like obviously the Packers have been the better franchise for two or three decades but this is just absurd it ends this year I don't care what anybody says the Bears will beat the Packers at least one time if they bookmark this do whatever you want if I'm wrong at me at hram NFL the Bears will beat the Packers this year it is going to happen you can take it to the bank you guys know the motto fgb forever and always that is what we do here hopefully it actually uh happens on the field and beat the Packers for once uh it's time it's happening Caleb
