The Bears BIGGEST Concern Against The Titans is THIS…

and really in particular Jeffrey Simmons I believe presents some major problems when facing the Chicago Bears because when I look at strengths and weaknesses I look at this interior as a potential major strength for Tennessee you've got Jeffrey Simmons one of the best interior pass rushers in the NFL I think tandre sweat is going to be an impactful player with his size at 360 pounds Sebastian Joseph day is a nice player Coburn's another big body so they've got guys that can be very disruptive in the interior and what's the biggest question we've talked about with the Bears offensively yeah that's interior offensive line other than Tevin Jenkins Coleman Shelton and Nate Davis couple of guys who you know in Davis's case it's just been kind of a wonky tenure so far and Shelton who I think is an upgrade but isn't exactly like a top tier blocking Center uh at this stage in his career he's kind of just an average player and look I think it's fair to call this a concern and let's just be real every matchup every team you face is going to present different concerns the point of this video is to not to freak people out out it's just to kind of identify hey this is going to be a challenge this is what the Bears need to do to combat that challenge which we'll get to that uh here in just a little bit but I do think Center and Right Guard are positions for the bears that are are question marks and positions that I think Tennessee could look to exploit uh in this matchup on Sunday are you concerned about the Titans defensive line let me know yes or no are you concerned about what Tennessee can do up front give us your thoughts down in the comment section down below now Jeffrey Simmons for my money is I don't know a top five top seven interior defensive tackle in the NFL he got paid major money he gets consistent pressure he can play The Run uh but I think the toughest thing about being a Young quarterback in the NFL is facing facing pressure up the middle and Caleb Williams is going to be making his first start so a guy like Jeffrey Simmons uh could present some major problems uh going up against Coleman Shelton and Nate Davis and ultimately trying to fluster Caleb Williams I think you got to throw double teams at this guy early and often maybe you see a snap or two see how things hold up but I I think it's going to be one of those situations where he's the game wrecker for Tennessee don't let this guy control the game that that's really what you got to do and look if you do have to throw doubles in triples at Jeffrey Simmons that could create other issues as well but I I'd rather have other guys uh challenge me than Simmons himself Harold Landry and ardan key coming off the edge in this three4 scheme uh they're GNA present some problems as well that's what makes a guy like Jeffrey Simmons so special is even if you neutralize him a bit in terms of his production well a lot of other guys are going to get one-on-one opportunities Landry and key had 17 and a half combined sacks last year as my alarm goes off here uh and Landry had 11 by himself so uh they're going to get looks against these two young tackles probably in one-on-one situ ation so there's no doubt that the Titans front is going to present issues and if I'm Tennessee I'm lining up Simmons on Nate Davis sandor colan Shelton now I'm trying to exploit that matchup I I'm trying to win with my Superstar against the Bears question marks on the offense of line and you know once they start doubling tripling then uh the Bears uh you know are going to give up one-on-one opportunities elsewhere so that that's how football is it's a chess it's a chess game these coaches are going to go back and forth and what they uh try to do to uh kind of combat these different matchups and that's why coming up next I am going to explore and examine how I think the Bears can combat Jeffrey Simmons and slow him down in this matchup on Sunday but speaking of Sunday speaking of premier player and a tough guy to combat number one we've already kind of mentioned this you're going to have to double him some might have to Triple team him at sometimes where you kind of squeeze them with your guard and Center chip with a running back uh out of the back field uh that might be an area that the Bears uh have to do as well and look even though you're going to give up one-on ones make other guys win make Garden Keo win his match up make Herold Landry Sebastian Joseph day these guys uh beat you one-on-one I think the Bears offensive line on the tackle positions can hold their own for the most part on Islands uh we know tein Jenkins can so uh make some other guys win for Tennessee and if they do hey tip your cap you'll uh you'll live with that at the end of the day number two get the ball out quickly um you know something Justin Fields really struggled with was the quick game identifying the matchup getting the ball out uh Caleb is certainly better at that coming out of college but I I still think that could take some time he's a quarterback that likes to hold on to the ball make the big play and you know Ryan PS the other day when asked about what his expectations for Caleb bar is hey lean on the Stars around you go be special when necessary and I think that kind of applies here like hey find the matchup get the ball to DJ Keenan Swift whoever and then when it's time to go make a big play hey go be special go do that but if he could just operate the offense especially early in this game and kind of get into a flow into a rhythm then creating those big plays are going to be uh easier to pull off because Tennessee already is uh knows that you can execute the basic stuff speaking of Caleb get him on the Move get Caleb Williams outside of the pocket if Jeffrey Simmons is able to penetrate well get him on the edge and make him less of a fact and we saw this in the preseason we saw Shane Waldren be intentional in getting him on the edge on designed boots uh to throw the football and worst case scenario go be an athlete go get a few yards but um he is an elite player already when throwing on the Move whether that's design roll outs whether that's him creating and breaking the pocket and throwing the ball down field he's already very very good at that cuz he has the arm strength and he has the feel in and out of the pocket uh to know where the Press is coming from so give him some of those designed plays to get him loose also encourage him when things break down to be his athletic self and his feel for the pocket self and and go make plays again you got to balance when to when to swing for the home runs but uh getting him outside of the pocket in this particular matchup I think is going to be very very important and then also you got to be able to run the football um the Titans were 14th and run defense last year it's a kind of middle of the pack you should be able to run on them um especially running on the perimeter toss cracks outside Zone uh you know try to get Simmons out of these plays as much as you can make him Chase uh I think that is going to be uh a very important and very smart strategy and look DeAndre Swift they didn't use him much in the preseason I think they're saving his legs and his touches uh for the regular season I expect him to have a pretty big role here like it wouldn't shock me at all if you got 20 touches in the season opener now we'll see how much khil Herbert and some of these other backs play but uh I do think while there's going to be some committee here I think Swift is clearly the league dog lead dog and why do I think that well the Bears were in on saquin and then they pivoted and paid DeAndre Swift they wanted a true number one running back and the way they used Swift in the preseason which was hardly at all I think it's pretty clear he's going to be a guy that gets a lot of touches and is featured quite often will Jeffrey Simmons have a sack against this Bears offensive line on Sunday Type why for yes or you can type in for no you know if he has one sack it doesn't kill you what can't happen is two and a half three sacks eight pressures one of these just games where you can't neutralize him you got to combat him and throw different looks at this Titans defense uh to get Caleb settled into his first NFL start like I don't expect it to go perfect from snap one but the Bears should have enough Solutions uh to at least somewhat neutralize and slow down Jeffrey Simmons and this defensive front all right guys there you have it my biggest concern ER about the Titans as they come to town to face the Bears still think the Bears uh have the advantage in a lot of key matchups in this game so if they can limit the damage that Simmons and Company
