Fletcher Cox’s LT4 Swapped 69 Camaro!!

[Music] what are you doing to Fletcher Car Matt we got a quarter blower for it so swapping it out very nice what all did you guys do to this nothing just tuned it yeah tuned oh I put a I changed the rear GE I I don't even remember from what to what it had like a 410 in or something I think I put like a 355 in it got you it was way too aggressive for this chains I must have just missed it on the D there it pretty car though what trans is in it uh 4 l80 I think gotcha con pter blower of course yeah of course yep what are you doing over here buddy buttoning this P the blower up on Camaro still waiting for valve coverage I think I guess I don't I assume so this car going back on the dyno it'll have to [Music] yeah this thing is pretty sweet I love this car [Applause] okay I don't know how much we really filmed on this before I can't remember sucher Cox's 69 Camaro lt4 8speed transmission um basically like a CTSV setup um same thing that's in like a C10 truck if you guys saw us do that too um this we changed the rear gear cuz it had like a he just had it built and it had a like I don't know a 410 gear I think in it uh which was terrible for an 8-speed transmission cuz the factory rear gear is like a 267 or something so we took that out and the lowest we could buy get for this rear was a 308 so it's we put a 308 in it um and then I had it on the dyno and I don't remember what it made and I don't know if I filmed it so if I'm repeating myself and you already saw it I apologize um and he was like is there any way we can get a little more I'm like yeah we can like Port the blower or something so uh ported the blower um did a throttle body and we had the lid painted and the valve covers painted he doesn't know about that stuff yet um that's uh like my little retirement gift to him uh he didn't even mention anything about it I just it needed some love under the hood and uh now it looks sick so uh it has flex fuel on it too from the last time it was on the dino when we Ted it it's got like 40% in it so I'll just see what changes I need to make uh and go from there [Music] [Music] 600 [Music] exactly probably do this thing in a higher gear too [Music] [Music] 628 that was six gear uh I just wanted to see how high it would go in six gear 141 mph at 5800 but it made 628 uh you can take boost off of there cuz it's not hooked up just until they hook it up I still think this thing should make more boost it's an export usually picks up like four or five pounds but what pulley are it's a stock siiz pulley but generally the port alone picks up like 3 or four lbs figured out need to get the Bel water fine yeah no one had a belt that's crazy yeah we even tried getting like a 10 rib to like cut it down what it would have made well the problem is it's it's it's not making a ton of boost right now it's only making like not even 10 pounds so 640 to the wheels of this car Jon like that's a ton I mean that's a lot yeah yeah well you said use huh that's more than you're going to use I'm never probably going to use it that's that's saying not going use you would use it more in this than you roll in your truck the truck just just SK around yeah my truck just cakes around yeah this thing especially with the gears and [ __ ] like I just had him uh take a video of it like shifting so before I'm not sure why but they didn't uh PL he didn't have like the shifter buttons working which I don't know why they were like turned off in the tune so I turned them on and now I set up Auto up Shi so you can just like put it in third gear on the selector and then just rip it and it ships itself oh you that's my type so that's what I did here this is a um a 456 so I just put it in fourth gear and then floored it oh yeah it's not a whole lot better yeah I mean the gears were probably like a half a second before you know 410 is insane in this thing the stock like the stock rear gear in AR cadis is like a 297 or something or 267 or something like that and the we could get for this is a 308 but still I mean it's a 100 times better than a 410 that thing yeah stupid yeah stupid D so I don't even know what they're off something sick but I'm excited to drive it now actually I am yeah I'm sure before it was just dumb a d I just I didn't drive it yeah I drove it like to the game he asked me if you ever drove it I'm like I'm not sure we noticed the one belt like rides over rib like this regular serpentine belt not the blower belt and like I don't know if it like I didn't notice it yeah he he noticed it when we were when we changed the pulley he he did it he noticed and he and uh just need to line it up yeah did like like I said the FR when it when it comes back I guess you're going to probably maybe put another pulley on it yeah when it comes back we'll we'll try to figure everything out but I want to try driveing this weekend yeah you going to Cil uh probably Saturday yeah I might ride up there yeah give me something dude yeah I'm debating the fans so when I'm on the dyno the fans don't work which kind of annoying gr get hot but probably too yeah I'm sure it's an easy thing yeah but you could in reality just hardwire it into the OBD2 not it's not a big deal I mean I'm not tuning it all the time so it's don't matter I'm going try to beat this weather though yes sir yeah man thank you all right buddy got gas like literally put since we don't since we're kind of backed up on footage that's why I'm like keep adding this drove it for a couple months brought it back um and we put a smaller pulley on it last time it was here we didn't we couldn't get a belt for the pulley so we just left a stock one on it now we put a smaller pulley on it put a new belt on it he had full e in it um and the high side was running out so I did this this was yesterday actually um I didn't record any I was just trying to dial in and see where we could get and we were we were close or whatever um but it wouldn't it wouldn't work with full e so we just put pump gas in it and it's down to like 35% now so um that should be able to handle everything so we'll see uh we'll see where we're at [Music] [Music] [Music] 622 I got to adjust this Auto upshift cuz I set it up for him and uh it just tried shifting right [Music] there slight adjustment nothing crazy mainly the shifting cuz I wanted to rub it out a little higher but [Music] [Music] w [Music] uh 622 [Music] 630 Just Killer we stock Cam and everything in this thing so he didn't even really care about power I talked to him yesterday and asked him what he want I'm like would you rather run full e or would you rather you know be able to only run up to like 40% or whatever 50% and uh have more power he said he usually never run straight e um and he thought it was fast enough before so I was like oh whatever whatever we'll just keep the pulley and everything that's on it now and you'd be good to go you got to think this thing is light you know it's not like uh these new cars it's not not you know 3600 lb it's probably 3,000 I mean Grant it with this thing it's got nice ass interior and subs and [ __ ] like that it's probably 32 3,300 lb but um it's not a race car he's got them you know this is a this is a cruiser only thing that does suck about this thing is that the way it's wired and for all the gauges and everything um it's got basically like a plug on the OBD2 um so the fans and [ __ ] don't work like when I'm data logging when I'm doing a pool so I I basically unplug my cable plug that in and whatever then the fans and [ __ ] come on and I'm just going to cool this down for a minute so I have to start it up to do that right probably going to do one more pull and then I'll check shifting and uh and this thing's ready to go [Music] [Applause] I don't know what the hell that was yeah broke up a little bit I'm not sure why I did was take a little bit of fuel out of it we'll just go back to what the other fuel was I'm going to I don't know if the I hope not but I don't think the intercooler pump is God damn it it doesn't help that this OBD2 cable is buried behind the dash I don't think the intercooler pump is attached to the gauges and everything else that comes on when I plug this in but I'm going to not data log and make a poll how basically how it would be on the street God I can't get this thing plugged in there we go I I don't know if I'll be able to to tell what gear it's in I don't think it shows me all the way up to that on the [Music] dash I think it only shows me up to four so I can go up to four and then uh [Music] right I I I wasn't counting I'm going to go back and start from [Music] zero going be six right there [Music] something not right with this thing I'll be right back I started it all right thre a fresh 661 think's on basically 13 lb of boost I added a little bit of timing but air fuels dead perfect high side is perfect yeah yeah I'm just going to do a uh check a shift and then and then this thing's
