Twin Turbo Mustang Chasing Down 7-Second Pass!!

taking the black car and also our supercharged s650 to the drag strip so let's get these things loaded up it's been quite a bit of course since we've been out to the track and I know you guys are starving for some good content oh look so yeah we're going to we're going to it's a track day last time that we took the black car out to the track as you guys saw our entire front end blew off we were in version one of the front end assembly if you will we've now structured a much stronger front end thanks to do it with Dan we've got these really nice cutouts up front thanks to po boy them two came together collabed and now we have a very strong front end that should be good for the mile hour that we need tonight so good Arrow we we went 81 last time on low boost arrow and good boost we should be making some we should be going pretty fast tonight I think we'll see we will definitely see but before we go we need to check everything over on this car make sure it's all good check fluids y'all would be so mad if I even swap the [Music] Mustang officially it is time to run the S65 to man I'm pumped about this we just got the Whipple supercharger installed not long ago as you guys know but we haven't even gotten a baseline number with this so it's going to be awesome to see what it does I honestly don't know how fast this thing is GNA go at all it's been a long time since I've stick shift drag raced anything but as you guys remember a long time ago we did take this car with a stick shift supercharge setup kind of like that car we took this car 9 seconds it was way more boost than what this car is going to be running tonight and it was on E85 whereas this car is still on 93 but at least we'll have Baseline numbers for tonight so whenever we get tuning unlocked here I hope in the next few months and also pully down that car we'll be able to see the Improvement so that's going to be sick this is going to go Gray I'm pretty confident in this car I'm not going to lie the last time they had it at the track like I said the only reason why we were having issues is just because this front lift was like folding up under the car but at this point I think we should be good there's a lot of reinforcement up there shouldn't be any problems I think it's going to go great oh yeah it should be solid I built that strong as for the s650 I think this is going to be pretty straightforward and simple honestly it's probably going to go great probably going to run like a little 11c pass something like that stick [ __ ] then once we crank it up some more tuning's unlocked I bet it's going to go way faster too my goal is to eventually get this thing in nines with a stick shift too just to be back how that one was I think it's got it in it too last time we were out at this track we broke the GT350 so I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that these two have no problems but these these two are probably the the best as far as reliability goes right now well I guess we can get prep for perks pass you want to ride all right way skate we're going to see what it does make sure the front end and all is okay getting off to speed after that we're going to slowly but surely crank it all like Po was saying we do not have Hood pin in this so we don't really know how this is going to go we just want to make sure it's all good first we only could get up to a certain mph of course on the street whenever we tested it so we're going to have to go a little bit faster luckily we're at the best spot for that oh yeah time to go fast oh lord it's been a minute since you've been to a drag strip it has been yeah it has been and this is this thing is very fast I'll be real it's a little T it's a touch faster than the Cyber truck can't believe the amount of hate that we've been getting lately about the electric content with the Cyber truck like you only have electric cars we're only going to electric content ever again and I don't even like gas cars anymore yall are crazy just debating on just turning the switch on just letting it eat I'll do W Gap first we'll do one pass just as wastegate test and make sure all the panels look good I'm just going to come straight back that time again all right here we go how long's it been since you made a pass in this car a long time I don't even remember when you're coming up you're going to get in the water and then you're going to hold the brake hold the gas spin the water and then hold the brake in the gas for a burnout thank you all right so now you're going to keep it in first gear we're going to get up to here we're going to get to the second light [Applause] she it definitely smelt like something was bie I hope not I do not know why but something's smoking something was smoking oh I do see why o oh no that is your o drain that's hot isn't it yeah it's a little toasty I would say oh my yeah they're they're going down the end of the track oh [ __ ] I think we might have oiled it down on the first or it could have been from the wastgate pipes previously our plastic oil fill plug completely disintegrated on this car next up my thought was let's upgrade the plastic one to keep this from happening to this Billet one so we got this Billet one um but I don't know where they o-ring went s650 has a plug that we could use it does I could put the plastic one on there but the problem is is that the wastegate pipe is really close so that why that's is a good thing we brought this car too right now we' be screwed otherwise I'm going to pop this off and we're just going to use one drain plug for car two cars one drain plug or one pill plug I guess good let's try again try and waste G again yeah I'm pretty sure that we replaced that oil fil pug not long ago whenever it burned up the plastic one and I guarantee you we forgot to just put an o-ring on I guarantee it oh my God all right kep the boil inside the car still on Wate A to B so we can start turning it up from there that looks good to me there you go 6 lbs jeez that's about a th000 less horsepower than it can make that's stupid yep all right she's ready to cook now give oh God should we check tire pressure before yep we're going to head back over by the trailer we're going to check tire pressure on this car and then we're going to head back out with it turned up to see what it'll do it feels like it h it really good feels amazing outside the car feels awesome no panels lifting I think we're good woo thank you all right what do you think it was what did that feel like uh I feel like that was like a 99sec pass really now we're going to turn it up we'll see what you think laptop time go make a few little adjustments now take it off a was gate turn it up a little bit so right now we got launch PSI set at 12 PSI so we'd be leaving probably about 1,000 wheel and then we ramp up to about 25 lb at the moment after a second and a half second and a half second and a quarter actually but damn that's that's fairly slow but it's like yeah not bad this track looks like it's holding down pretty good yep so should we drag it down a little bit or it's going to go fast on this setting though on 25 lbs it's going to be [ __ ] insane like oh yeah for sure 25 lb what were you running on just now is what three on six six so yeah that'll be a big difference for sure that should get you into the nines Eights oh it'll be yeah it should be without a doubt if it'll hold this setup it'll go sevens I know I just don't know if it'll hold well I guess is that where you're putting it on right now I'm trying to debate on it should we do it we send it we going to send it you going to ride that's why we came out here all right we're going to send it I'm scared I'm scared that's valid all right first run we had it on 6 lb this time we're leaving on 12 lb we ramped up to just six lbs last time of course cuz it was stuck on the wastegate so we left at 6 it just stayed at 6 the whole way out this time we're leaving at 12 and we're ramping up to 25 25 25 pounds of boost 25 pounds of boost last time with no front end or any kind of arrow in the car it went 81 so today with all the arrow in the front we're going to see if it can go any better I truthfully think if it hooks out here tonight we're probably going to go sevens on the first pass with Boost controller on it really just depends on how it's hooking all right let's do it here we go out there and do it this here says remove before flight I hope we don't take flight but we're going to remove it Mo it just before it just in case all right well parach looked crazy the burnout I got to get out brother you had something to say on the burnout your car looked so mean it wasn't even buunny the whole thing like almost did a bunny hop it was like [ __ ] felt phenomenal it was very sturdy and planted J it felt amazing youall want to ride again I don't want to ride we can turn it up 5 more lbs I don't even want you to go that fast after filling it it's [ __ ] I know and that's half a second slower pretty much than what it should be right now exactly that's so freaking scary that's what I was telling you at Prescott in Arkansas whenever we were going freaking good so far everything feels pretty dialed I'm not going to lie all is definitely well with the car but even though Everything feels good we still have a few more things that we of course got to dial in before we can just send it all the way to the Moon we took it out last time on the track it did really good it went 81 today it's actually going slower but we think it's cuz we're spinning through first probably got to dial in the shocks and tire pressure just a little bit more but again we were only wanting to come out here to make sure that everything that we did on the so far is still functioning good and so far so good we're just learning a little bit as you can uh oh my God hey that got worse holy [ __ ] that got worse oh yeah it did on the other side as well oh brother oh it's lifting it's bending the metal what the definitely a few more things like I said that we got to get figured out so far this thing is doing amazing though but now we're going to let this cool off and I guess step on over to the s650 so this is going to be the very first passes with the supercharged s650 period I just hope it does something in the 11s that'd be cool guess we'll see we'll see what this thing will do stick shift s650 wible yo yo not too bad not bad at all 650 kind of scooting 118 120 is trap y I can't shift as fast as I want to with the stock clutch but hey it goes I mean you're moving it as fast as it's comfortable doing you know I'm manad let's go old stick car dude that was fun I launched a stick car in a bit and on r8rs this thing really got down it did it didn't spin a bit it really did roll right out I'm impressed genuinely me too dude good work we did that for real the car wheel hopping or nothing just move that was really great suspension work shout out to anywhere 11 anything if it did 11 or faster in a stick car I feel good I'm happy I'm almost positive that had to have been damn near an 11 I can't say though stick shift drag racing is fun I got to launch this is the hardest thing to do like traditionally people don't want to give that credit but this is really hard like you I oh definitely there's so many things to remember all at once yeah I've probably made 300 manual passes so it's a little different I would say it's not really exactly fair and most of them were at way more power than this too I will say these Arch blades don't play they do not you dumped the hell out of it it was still trying to bite hard hard hard it was want me to run back through you want me to pull that's up to you I don't care as long as you confident you can slip it that's I can I can slip it I just forgot so I need to not forget yeah I feel like I'll get that [Music] clutch you're spping oh my goodness dude see I slipped it I'm not meaning to laugh but no laugh what did I do look how bad the smoke from the clutches holy [ __ ] so what did I do wrong now you're going to have to teach me yeah Mr stick shift racer yeah do I let off the throttle as I go into it so yeah you have to feather it so you would have to slip the clutch halfway as you slip the gas into it too cuz it's you're having to mate the pressure plate to the flywheel so correct you just have to at the just kind of seamlessly slip them both into each other chy feel chy feel hey hey I'm sorry I'm BR your clutch at least I'm not breaking the car yeah goodness cravy I mean maybe maybe I'll help you change out your clutch sir thank you he must be like damn they slipped it after that one what was that one brother the first one was a 26 the second one is a 176 what's the what's the 60 foot I have a faster run literally in my freaking V6 drift car the 60t was 3 seconds on the dot oh8 was terrible why brother my boy burn the clutch in first second and third hey I got to give you Kudos though you power shifted that [ __ ] so fast that it it was still slipping and then Shi again it was still slipping I was like I know me too kind of I was looking I was like wait we're not spinning wait the clutch I thought it was the tires and then I go back and I'm like that's not the tires no I burnt the old clutch huh I burnt the clutch oh yeah did you see all the smoke yeah yeah did you hear it third gear it was getting there and I let off and it was just burnt through the clutch yeah I can't launch this thing I smell it smell okay damn well hey the s650 did not do too bad being that it is on a stock clutch still and of course just stock tune too not really much at all done to this thing we're even on stock axles all in all the s650 is quite impressive man I remember whenever it was probably 700 and something horsepower to the tire out of the black car before I could even get close to the same speed that we just went tonight on the very first pass ever so I got to say I think that I'm improving a little bit a little bit years later finally getting some decent times out of this thing but of course still a 2060 ft we ended up with the stick setup in that black car doing a 1460 ft which is as good as we were doing running eights out here tonight with the same car so that does give me hope that once we get a full drag radial a good clutch I will probably be able to get this thing back into one Forest to and maybe even 9 seconds once we get a smaller pulley and a little bit more boost in here so that's going to be it's going to be sick man you guys are we're out at the drag STP we will have like I said our twin turbo s650 up against the Whipple supercharged s650 we're going to try and go faster than 116 next time and of course with this car now that we've made sure that everything's good we're going to fix our oil fill plug and do a few more tweaks and after that I think this car is going to be able to go probably closer to that 7sec Mark but don't want to burn it down in the meantime so got to make sure we get that fixed up first quite important for sure let's go ahead and load these things up so loud holy [ __ ] 52 with some pretty
