[Applause] Rena has creating an all electric restomod version of the Renault 17 Coupe from the 197s to bring the design of the 17 into the modern world Renault worked hand inhand with French designer orao compared to the original Rena 17 the 17 restomod is about 7 in wider with slightly more flared wheel arches the lighting as you'd expect is all new with four rectangular items at the front and a Sleek light strip at the rear however it also retains The Originals monoco structure doors glass and seals the interior is a work of art a two-spoke steering wheel with a flat top and flat bottom wrapped in fabric immediately stands out there's also wooden trim across the dash like the original Rena 17 four prominent gauges in front of the driver and a larger screen serves as the infotainment display Renault then wrapped the seats in a combination of brown leather and white fabric under the hood the 1.6 L 4 cylinder engine has been replaced by a 270 horsepower electric motor powering the rear wheels Rena didn't say how big the battery is but the range is estimated to be 249 M on a full charge the car is also built around a lightweight carbon fiber chassis and tips the scales at 1,400 kg however no production version is planned for the R17 this car will remain a oneoff affair that the automaker will showcase at several upcoming events including the 2024 Paris Motor Show in October
