Penn State vs West Virginia | 2023 College Football Prediction!

all right what's going on guys step 42 here and today I am back with another college football prediction video and yes this is the off season well the really isn't too much to talk about since I am just mainly a prediction video maker so every game I talk about so this is just the off season um this is just like who possibly will start pretty much for these types of games well today I'm gonna be talking about the West Virginia Mountaineers versus the Penn State Nittany Lions the game will be placed on September 2nd of 2023 which is most likely on a Saturday and of course this is a long lost rivalry so I did not realize that West Virginia and Pennsylvania or Pennsylvania West Virginia and Penn State were actual Rivals which I mean you probably see from the list right there that Penn State pretty much hands West Virginia 48-9 and two so technically it's not really a rivalry but of course these two teams hate each other uh because West Virginia and the state of Pennsylvania where Penn State is is pretty much close to each other and so um so yeah this this is um this is a long lost rivalry also I did a like a presentation slides so if I missed anything please comment down below this video is just for fans to comment down what they think about this game and who is going to win in this game as well all right next slide all right so the location for this game will be on Beaver Stadium which is Penn State and uh it's probably gonna be like a night game or maybe a 3 30 game in my opinion so I don't really know what the uh the time will be when September happens it is only April right now which is crazy to even think about all right coaches we have Neil Brown who previously coached at Troy I'm an app State fan slash UNC fan and uh he was a really good coach for Troy and Troy actually played really well in the Sun Belt he's kind of struggling here and there I mean he has six to seven wins and his record like two or three times but last year wasn't so great uh they went like five and seven last year not great at all uh James Franklin as you guys know who uh is he uh current or or this was his uh Neil Brown was 35-16 for Troy 22-25 for West Virginia all right now back on to James Franklin James Franklin is probably the only coach to ever uh revive Vanderbilt and Vanderbilt actually good for three seasons under uh James Franklin and after that they just have been in shambles ever since he has done a great job at Penn State yes Penn State hasn't been to the Glory Days uh with Joe Paterno and all the all that Saga but he's still a great coach in my opinion for James Franklin 78 and 36 for Penn State uh Vanderbilt uh and of course he went 24 and 15 the only coach at painter built he actually did really well considering that Vanderbilt has been awful in the SEC uh recently all right last season like I said before West Virginia went five and seven three and six and they were ninth in the big 12. key wins Baylor uh 43-40 uh Oklahoma State uh 24 and 19 the rest you guys know that they didn't really do so well at all Penn State they actually shocked me last year I mean they went 11-2 7-2 in conference um they didn't beat Ohio State they didn't beat or I think they did beat no they didn't beat Ohio State or um but they did beat Michigan State Maryland all the key um key wins but these key wins Auburn and Utah were like actually probably um probably just the two key wins that like shocked me this year as well because they have a really good offensive and of course Sean Clifford is also going finally he's been there for 30 years at Penn State so yeah I mean the Penn State has shocked me this year they probably had a great the best years in a while but yeah 11-2 7-2 third in the Big East and the East is tough but Michigan Ohio State and Michigan State all right roster news for West Virginia uh this is just for like the transfers uh players transferring out plans for training uh transferring M JT Daniels for the 4 000 times uh transferring now officially going to Rice uh sophomore uh Kaden Prather who's actually a really good uh receiver and that's probably gonna be a key player losing him to Maryland a sophomore Chris Mayo transferred to Eastern Michigan Junior Jordan Jefferson actually is a pretty good player as well and uh shocking for him to leave so he's going LSU um and I believe that him and Justin Jefferson are actually brothers I actually looked that up all right freshman QB will Crowder is going to Troy um tight end Junior Michael lofin or Laughlin transfers to Houston all right players coming in to West Virginia as transfers tight end Junior Cole Taylor from LSU uh wide receiver Junior Devin Carter from NC State and of course which is kind of funny uh for torma malba literally was at Penn State last year now is at West Virginia and he'll be playing against Penn State which is kind of funny and ironic to see uh so he he comes from Penn State senior uh Dave Owen Hawkins uh from Tennessee State montre Miller from Kent State who's a senior Junior Keyshawn Cobb but that this is not all the list I just did like the top six guys who um are transferring in to West Virginia all right so for Penn State we have freshman Jamari Boudin transfers to New Mexico State sophomore fatora malba which I just said uh which is funny because he's going to West Virginia and West Virginia's playing pit or up dot pit Pennsylvania or Penn State oh gosh I can't speak today all right so a freshman Christian velix transfers to Pitt I just saw a pit that's why I said pit uh so freshman Rodney McGraw transferred to Louisville red shirt freshman can tally transfers to Michigan State a registered Junior kazaya homes and transfers to Florida State now I do believe that Penn State also got some pretty decent transfers coming in which is trade Potts running back from Minnesota sophomore Mike Malik McLean from Florida state junior Dante cephas from Kent State he had like a thousand yards or something like that um and then storm duck I think storm duck will definitely be better uh in this situation than he did at UNC he wasn't that great um he just struggled one-on-ones uh fade routes definitely but I think storm duck with the new a place a new DB coach he's actually actually good um will actually teach him how to do stuff so I think storm duck will be good uh maybe for Penn State but he just struggled at UNC all right uh Riley Thompson transfers in from from FAU senior Alex Falcons uh who's a punter and a kicker from uh Riley and of course from Colombia which is an FCS school all right all right so this I'm gonna do the top three players on offense top third players on defense and uh if I'm getting the names wrong or if they're not gonna be a starting player then comment down below what you guys think all right Garrett green who's a sophomore quarterback who for now is going to be the starting quarterback unless Nico uh America Marco if I pronounce the last name wrong sorry him or I think a freshman as well could be in the Kiwi battle for this upcoming season uh as you guys know JT Daniels is gone uh so he he went 43 for 78 51 or 55.1 completion percentage 493 yards five touchdowns and three interceptions all right so running back Tony Mathis Junior for now or for now sophomore had 135 carries 562 yards of rushing and five touchdowns pretty good uh for a player all right Rhys Smith is a sophomore uh 19 receptions 205 yards and one touchdown Sam James Bryce for Wheaton have also declared for the NFL draft um and they were key players from last year's team even though they struggled all right Penn State Drew Eller would most likely be the guy who replaces Sean Clifford who's been there for 50 years uh he he went 35 for 60 uh with 58 completion percentage uh 344 yards four touchdowns and zero interceptions all right Nicholas Singleton who is a really really good running back he had a great year who's a freshman last year had 156 carries 1 6 or 61 yards and 12 touchdowns that is really good especially in the Big Ten all right wide receiver uh Parker Washington sophomore 46 receptions 611 yards and one touchdown and of course Sean Clifford to the NFL draft all right top three players on defense West Virginia I don't know if these aren't the exact players but I do believe that Lee uh Pogba is actually coming back for his like I guess senior season or fifth year season I don't know if it's coming back but if you if he's not please let me know in the comments below he had 92 total tackles uh 44 solo uh 3.5 sacks uh and DB sophomore I'll be Burks who actually had a really good season last year uh 66 total tackles uh 46 solo one interception and two past deflection as well all right uh safety Junior Marcus Floyd has 63 total tackles 44 solo tackles and four past deflection which is pretty good for him as uh safety all right so top three players for on defense for Penn State we have linebacker freshman uh Abdul Carter 56 total tackles 36 solo six sacks four pass deflections two Force fumbles pretty pretty good for our freshman uh player a linebacker sophomore Curtis Jacobs 52 total tackles 29 solo 4 sacks two pass Reflections one interception of course I believe that's probably a pick six so he had a great season as well um linebacker sophomore things were like the top three players on the defense so sorry it was just linebackers 44 total 26 uh solo one sack one past deflection and of course jair Brown declared for the NFL draft and he was the main guy for last year all right so team stats uh on offense West Virginia yards per game 399 passing 227.5 rushing 171.5 yards per game and then points per game 30 and of course because the Big 12 loves throwing the ball loves like high scoring games Penn State yards per game 433.6 passing 252.5 rushing 181.1 and 35.8 points per game all right so for defense we have uh yards allowed which for West Virginia 412.3 passing yards allowed 262.7 uh rushing yards allowed 149.6 and of course of course uh 32.99 points allowed per game which is not great at all uh Penn State yards allowed per game uh 317.9 passing yards allowed uh 212.8 uh rushing yards 105.2 and of course their defense actually had a really good year this year only allowing 18 points per game oh all right so after all that after the slideshow I hope you guys enjoyed the slideshow if you like that more often from me uh comment down below but my final prediction I think that Penn State -10 will beat West Virginia because it's at Beaver Stadium it might be a um it might be a a night game and so it's gonna be like a Prime Time game I think and Penn State as defense and of course they got everybody back on on offense compared to West Virginia they're kind of still young they're still trying to figure out who they are identity wise so I think that in the respectful way I think that Penn State will win this game by 10 points at Beaver Stadium it might be might be a night game that atmosphere at Penn State is unreal and uh so yeah let me know what you guys think I've never been to Penn State would love to watch the Penn State Ohio State game that's on my bucket list so yeah all
