RUNNING up the score: Why WVU is out for REVENGE on Penn State!

find this anymore this eddieb thing so uh I'm I'm hoping it's going to play for everybody I think it will uh hopefully nobody hates me in morgant toown as far as the coaching staff and whatnot um don't know exactly what's behind the removal of this um a lot of bulletin board material I mean it's not like you know it's 2024 once something goes up on the Internet you may as well not delete it it's saved forever you know people save things in unique way shapes and forms so I don't understand the removal of this I haven't fact checked that by the way so I could be wrong but I I was told that this this uh clip has been removed at least by WVU and so I'm gonna play it it's a clip from Joe Brado this is Eddie vistan and today in his press conference guys and you want to talk about running up the score at the end of last year's game this is the response of course that upset that upset you know these past weeks we've on on the TVs before our meetings and everything that's the only clip we've been replaying all the time like I've seen that clip like 100 times like in the past week and this just angers me just just just angers me and like I I even know the celebration the guy the one all I'm did and it's just it's just I took it very personal you know it's I hope everybody in our team took it very personal of course wow shots fired shots fired um so I don't know how to react to this because did anybody watch Neil Brown's press conference raise your hand if you did uh he denied that I I don't I'm not trying to call Coach Brown out here but Coach Brown said that it wasn't you know any they didn't he basically said no we didn't play the clip or know we didn't use it as motivation and Eddie V is saying we played it a hundred times before every meeting obviously he's downplaying it I get that I just don't agree with it personally you have to own this kind of stuff in my opinion now people can disagree with me and that's fine but if I say something or I do something I'm not gonna keep it within the confines of the locker room and we're not we're all just going to pretend to be mad in here over this thing that happened last year Own It Right eddieb Said now there's a couple other explanations that could be possible here maybe the players have organized this video this clip being played over and over uh or maybe that somebody else on the coaching staff is but you know because Neil Brown's more of a CEO that than anything and he does call the plays but he's a CEO that calls plays and that's really all he's involved with on the dayto day I think he probably catches up weekly but I don't know this to be fact I'm just guessing so generally speaking I guess what I'm trying to get through here is what's the truth you know because Eddie V is saying right here Excuse me yes we played the clip hundred times this week before meetings and I'll find it Neil Brown says in his press conference that they did not hold on also I've been getting just absolutely blasted by that rafino guy you know I did a video the other day on rafino and Joe I I couldn't remember their name but until today when they came at me but um he's really mad over that picture with the clown nose I put on him and then he said that I I use their content without their permission it falls under fair use I'm almost 100% sure it was only like 10 second clip of him calling Garrett green a below average Quarterback and today he he said we should hit you with a copyright strike uh he he was literally he was so mad about it which I understand him being a little upset because I put a clown nose on him like I get it and he was saying that I was did it because he didn't and I know this is like childish drama but you know I don't know man I just it's banter right you called my quarterback average below average out loud on social media and I responded to that you know now if we lose you can put a clown nose on me and say I was wrong big freaking deal you know but I don't understand why it's such a big deal to him but like he was going off on me on the comments you guys should go bombard that comment all right so Neil Brown press conference today three hours ago all right so I'm not going to play this whole thing obviously I'm looking for the Penn State comments on the clip one second guys uh I know you're not seeing this but I'm trying to find a certain part of the all right let me uh share the screen on this other and as we get more people in here I may revisit these clips uh because when I first when I played the first one they very many uh thank you to Blue Gold news for this clip hopefully you guys are okay with me playing this as we progress it it it it comes down to those things all stuff about their new coordinators being new you don't have that but I don't is when we get in this game and it kicks off there's going to be a bunch of adjustments and so both both both sides the stadium you're going have to make a bunch of adjustments and and who can do that hasn't been much different than what Manny did that's prob are any in or not it's in the Big 10 I know aie asked the question can see why James you know times obviously had a lot of success as a coordinator and then when you start watching them structurally several new ones but okay anything else for Coach coordinator I don't know if I'm be able to find it guys I don't want to uh I don't want to sit here and make you guys watch me run through this but if somebody wants to do it for me uh Mike osty asked Neil Brown a question about using that for motivation Charles Wesley got went from uh as big a fan as there is of just all um a lot of respect for for Coach James um Andy did a great job of are going to present some issues last couple to probably get most of them be hard to find be even more problematic players and then you start evalu previous pickup pick up changed you know even during the offseason going at what Andy did at so he had to play really talented um we'll try to figure it out early in the games in that role um and and there's some pressure that goes okay so I I mean I know what he said uh I love the new NCA game James thank you but uh basically Eddie is in this in one video saying that they they played the video 100 times and Neil Brown downplayed it said that they did I found that to be really interesting did anybody C else catch that I'm just curious because I want to just want to get I just I want to get opinions on why you know what I mean because obviously Penn State people are taking it really far like it's been removed some social media if you don't know there's 70 in here now we might as well go ahead and replay it one one time we'll play it one more time 30 on X 40 on YouTube uh we'll play it one more time we'll probably end up getting another 50 or 60 people but we can recount it on verbally then let's reshare let's play the the uh the eved video one more time just so everybody in here can kind of be up to date on what the context is and this is Eddie visten and on the Penn State scoring at the end of last year's game and you can tell this is really bothering him and I don't know almost useless of the thing we talk about really has nothing to do with the game but it kind of does to me so I'm just curious why Neil Brown dodged this okay hold on it's get our best in week one you mentioned chip playing with a chip on your shoulder last year's game end of the game they scor the little touch down how have you Ed that or have you used it it's kind of it just is what it is you know like um I really not using it it just kind of is what it is you know like they scored late um I don't really have a necessarily problem with it uh as far as you know but it is what it is like here's the thing like if our guys need something like that to motivate them then yeah um but I will say this the the score of the game is score of the game you know and we didn't play very well um we had a game we had a chance to win the game in the four in the third quarter when it when winning plays were required and we didn't make those winning plays and they did okay so I love the no excuse mentality here first of all I love that um but you know what's I don't understand why Eddie on one hand is saying hey look we played this before every meeting which is that's that's the first clip I shared obviously uh that's this clip you know and then on the other hand you got Neil saying we we're not using it so I don't you know I I agree smack I that's what I was trying to get to I feel like he's in a tough spot there because but the thing is is like why say you're not using it if you're playing it before every meeting and then like kind of CR criticize the players saying if you need this for motivation if you're playing it before every meeting you know what I'm trying to say here and I don't know like I said I don't know who organized it I don't know who you know who's playing the clip it could be a player say you know that's got it up there or could be an equipment manager Neil may not even know but uh I'm pretty sure his press conference was after edvs but I don't even know that so um maybe he's trying to put some because it did catch fire this clip of Eddie B and so maybe he's trying to not not Fe the Flames here but um well I me that's what you're saying but Eddie V is not saying that Russell you know what I'm saying like that's that's the point I'm trying to make here is should we be worried you know or is it a good thing that they're so motivated over it you know I'm interested to find that out you know because I do think bonor material can play into the favor of and also against the team it depends on your leaders and I think in our team situation Garrett's a really cool customer haven't really ever seen him Panic much at all he's uh pretty under control player and uh if you had a team that was over emotional then something like that could possibly backfire I think but if you've got a team that's able to channel those frustrations from last year then I think you're in a good spot so um Eddie be not happy though you know you know sky's the limit that's true he said Revenge can sometimes Buy B you in the ass too hope the players don't focus on one thing not and play the game you know what the best representation of resentment I've ever heard was sky the limit and you could steal this if you you may have already heard it but I learned this uh from from an Oldtimer he said to me he said uh son revenge is like drinking poison and expecting me to die you know and I'll never forget that that's exactly what resentment and revenge is right it's like drinking poison and expecting them to die I I'll never forget that for as long as I live so I've always tried to go by that especially if I'm bitter over situation and I find myself plotting or you know scheming like in my head like you know I realize it's come too far so there's plenty of motivation from the disrespect WB was getting from Penn State I agree I think there has been some uh but look they're in position where as a fan basee I don't and also I don't think Franklin is I personally I don't like him at all I think he's a loud mouth I think he's extremely disrespectful and smug and I don't like him I really don't um he he's like he's up there with Nardi for me of coaches I don't like guys like him very much that that just uh I don't know I like a guy like Neil Brown or sorry I like a guy like Neil that plays both sides for the most part um but if you has something to say he'll say it you know like it's okay to communicate get something off your chest as well so I don't know uh so anyway um Pat maae obviously had some words for uh James Franklin today used to be where the stadium was way back so there's like a natural bowl there uh muts uh in Sunny Side used to be an area where um couple gong shows couple runaways yeah for sure they kind of demolish that whole area and then put like night very new apartments and parking garages and everything and then the Life Sciences building obviously isly gon to be very hot or it's GNA in morgant just a couple heads up James Franklin his press conference says first of all I love Pat MC he said W press conference today that was an update that went through kind of sweet and James I do appreciate that obviously you've been very kind to me whenever I've gotten a chance to see you in the past but don't you think that that's changing what feel smart budget oh very smart baby face move so you feel I saw him in your 12 team playoff but you feel good about this game oh yeah Pat's got us in the 12 team playoffs as well here D but you you answered the question with the preface uhuh I saw them where 12 team playoff that's right they're winning the Big 12 now you can lose your first game and still win the Big 12 now that will not happen in this particular case okay I think West Virginia has what it needs to be James Franklin and Penn State this so he's got us to the three seat facing the winner of Alabama and Oregon what a death sentence and then uh Utah and he's got Utah there too there' be two big 12 teams in there so that would be a scenario where West Virginia would play Utah in the championship game and win we would have to be well really wouldn't matter on our record Utah would have to be 11 and one or something I mean it would have to be them undefeated we beat them to get in probably as an at large but of all the big 12 teams in the conference Utah's got the best chance to make it at large is because their preseason ranking and how people uh view them you know what I mean oh here's the James Franklin thing well I don't have to play the quote here we go the smug smug guy we're gonna be in Morgantown on Friday celebrating Penn State vers West Virginia the biggest home opener for West Virginia since 199 James Franklin was asked about me and uh I don't know how was phrased I just saw so i i g to respond to what I think about I think James Franklin took a shot at West Virginia here but I want to hear it I haven't heard it yet I only read it based on what I read I think this was it a little shot at us you know the video here's James Franklin jit Chad well first all I love Pat mcavey and his energy and enthusiasm for sports and specifically college football I think he's been I think he's been good for for College athletics and Sports in general but as far as West Virginia goes I think he's fun right you know oh yeah you know I think his ability to speak freely uh is is unique uh and and it's ability to speak freely as unique fun in a lot of ways sounds like he can want for us it's a fine line right you know I think it's very similar to the old billboard material I want to make sure that our guys don't say anything and our staff doesn't say anything that creates billboard so obviously that's a direct shot at West Virginia I just wanted to hear it so obviously Garnet Hollis and uh today Ed EV both have said things about the game right material because for some people that motivates them okay all right all right all right all right coach you motivating the boys that's what don't listen to me this State team is Frank G to cut a promo after the game on you just I don't want to get I'll probably get hit the copyright as it is but uh so you know listen I I don't like Franklin I've doing on the record of saying that more than once now and I just don't like how he is man you know I don't know there's things he said in the past too about West Virginia I don't know I just don't like the way he is running up the score last year bothered me uh as well as a fan of the team because people continue to use that score even though it was this two technically a two- possession game I get it I'm reaching it was 16 points still that's a two-possession game and when you're got a hope and a dream that you can come back in a game that's how you have to look at it right that's how I was looking at it even then at that point in the game when they scored that backd door touchdown uh after they had milked the clock away with like six seconds to go I was pissed you know so um David Lee says WWE will lose by 17 P State durank team W hasn't beaten the top 10 teams since Greer uh I think you spelled Greer wrong but uh Gotta Lose the coach he's a loser I disagree David I I think you don't know you're looking at this from a 30 30 foot view right 100 fot view uh you don't know the ends of outs outs of what's happened first of all pen state is a phenomenal team okay if you're a Penn State fan I I I have I will never say that they're not a good football team whether no matter even if they lose this weekend I'll still come out of there probably thinking that they're they're they're a good team um that said the rebuilding job that Neil Brown got in my opinion was one of the hardest it was definitely the the second hardest in school history outside of one that happened a long time ago uh and it's you know in this era it's incredibly tough what he had to do let me give you just a little bit of info on what happened if you don't [Music] know wish you had better news you love Wu okay the way you said that was like you were pen State fan but uh well at least that's how how it looked the comment but obviously in my opinion the way Dana left the team is not to be dismissed uh he used the transfer portal slj route for not just one or two years like six years you know we never developed not one quarterback the entire time we were here they were all transfers all the way through Austin Kendall no offensive defensive line depth slash development it was all transfer portal or or you know they they did develop some offensive lineman but that no nothing on the defensive side that's for sure they they would get athletes in the secondary and try to win that way a little bit but uh the what what Neil Brown inherited was it was one of the if not it was one of the 10 worst Power five rosters in America when he got it there was some Talent there but not in the trenches especially the offensive defensive line groups were truly in a bad spot uh and then just when he had things turned around a little bit during Co the 2020 season we went six one six games one six games for the year because it was shortened Co happened and things you know we got hit like we lost I think 17 starters to the transfer portal not just players starters you know and I really do think Neil got set back um a lot now he Lo he had learned some really hard mistakes I believe made some really big ones turning the offense over to Graham Harold was a big one uh not playing Garrett green earlier was obviously a big one people can say what they want I was against playing Garrett green at the time so I'm not sitting here like I knew it all but but looking back on it as a coach you gotta have the foresight so he's made plenty of four decisions but what he did last year really impressed me you know and I really do think that they what he did at Troy that's exactly what he did here it just took him two extra years and West Virginia was in a tough spot because we're in the Big 12 at the time we were the only Eastern team in the Big 12 for 10 years you're trying to recruit to that it's almost impossible can you imagine trying to convince a player on the East Coast not to play at pit or at Penn State or at Maryland or Virginia Tech and come playing the Big 12 and go you're going to be going to okoklahoma in Texas Tech and Baylor it's literally it's one of the hardest conting jobs you can have the flying WB just ain't what it was in 2010 or 11 you know so we ain't got them you know we got table on Austin's Nick State we're still recruiting off of that but I mean you know it's not like it was last year so they built this thing really they buildt it up to where we have a what I would consider one of the old school kind of power for power five rosters where you've got a bunch of seniors on a team we're not talented as in Penn State's talented from Star like we don't have four and five star players line throughout the lineup we have some some places I think Garrett green developed into a four or five star player if he hit the transfer portal he would easily be a four or five star player Wyatt mil is gonna be a first round pick Tomas Remax going to be a second to third round pick if not sooner I and I think there are other guys on the line that have a chance to play in the league on defense on the defensive line every single guy on that D line is 250 or above they really really filled out well there and really play a physical nature ball they've been rolling in several guys on defense for years now so I I really love the way they filled out the The Trenches with this team especially but it's the skill positions in play in players like that that have really filled out to be what I consider capable of playing with team that's maybe a little bit more talented because they they they're playing in the same system for five years now and most these guys are Juniors and seniors everybody that's gonna play outside of a few key freshman and sophomores are Juniors and seniors and I know that sounds like that's every team but in West Virginia's case you know we've been really young for a long time in places and spots you know where you really can't afford to be whether it be quarterback or or or or left tackle at times uh over the last few years so you know several guys in this actually everybody on this offensive line besides hubard started as a freshman just thought of that off the top of my head but white milm started as a freshman last year Zack Fraser started as a freshman Tomas remac started as a freshman all three of them were freshman all Americans then you have Brandon Yates who started at right tackle his freshman year in the left tackle at times played eight games in year two uh at left tackle he was an all Big 12 honorable mention jqu hubard transferred him from Virginia and he needed a couple years to get himself ready to go and then Nick Malone did not start as a freshman but but but Xavier Bosley did so depending on who wins the job there it looks like Nick Malone did uh I guess Malone now that I'm thinking about it will be the only one that didn't start as a frh freshman but point being is they really built this offensive line from scratch and they're all West Virginia boys except one Virginia boy pretty damn cool you know uh well Tomas I guess he's not a West Virginia boy either but last year they were you know all except Tomas which was pretty dang cool but West Virginia is better than the trenches that's that's why I like us in this game you know uh I think our offensive line is capable of playing to a stalemate at times with the defensive line there are going to be times where the defensive line gets the better of them but I do think we were capable of moving the ball on this team uh with this offense and defensive line wise I have serious questions about the P State offensive line I've said it multiple times where are my notes uh goodness gracious these are like two weeks old I may not even have them anymore uh let's see uh well I was just looking for the names of the players it's really not that it's not that relevant I don't guess oh here we go uh so in my notes I've got well I don't have the offensive line note anymore but anyway they lost three offensive linemen of the NFL which is impressive Wormley at Center is the only guy that comes back with any real experience uh and I think one other guy but other than that they're just plugging in some guys similar to kind of how we've had to do it times in the past with like one player like this year it'll be Nick Malone for us right on the right side and jqu hub to an extent but he started a lot of games I know they have guys that have started games as well but they don't have the Le leadership on the offensive line we have this year uh Theo Johnson's gone Tyler Warren comes back from Penn State on offense kandre Lambert Smith transfers to Auburn they're looking at Trey Wallace now as their number one receiver Julian Fleming from what I hear has had to fight to secure the number two two spot even though he was a five-star recruit out of high school and what he catch 70 balls over four years at Ohio State I just don't see him as a m massive threat Trey Wallace yes I think he could be a number one receiver uh Tyler Warren yes you know he he's their equivalent of Cole Taylor he caught about 30 or 40 balls like five or six touchdowns so he can do some damage but we we shut down pretty I mean they had 147 rushing yards last year Allen and Singleton and you're telling me with with now that losing three offensive linemen to the NFL you know it wasn't like these guys weren't good these guys are really good all three are with the NFL they're having to replace that right so the way I look at it man is on offense for Penn State they're replacing three offensive lineman Wallace at number one maybe Flemings is the number two guy outside of that it's really difficult to come up with a clear picture for Penn State Tyler Warner I think West Virginia's defense can make some hay in this game I really do West Virginia Returns His entire front seven lost very little and six transfer DBS in the back end obviously safety Aubrey Burks safy Anthony Wilson are both back that's going to help but we have to figure out the corners we think we have Garnett hos is already getting middle middle round draft grades right and if you let Garnes tell it he hasn't allowed a catch all Camp over the top so if that's the truth if that's the truth then we've got some corners and I think we can cook but it's going to be interesting to see what happens because there's going to be turnovers there's you know possibly there's G to be there's a lot of things that can go wrong Drew Aller scares me in this game because he he just doesn't make mistakes except when he's on the road Illinois last year was really bad for him Old Miss was bad for him you know I think if Drew Aller is on in this game like on it's going to be really hard for us to win the football game but if we can rattle him with our crowd and maybe get some early hits one fact people don't know that I I I almost put this out as a fact you probably don't know about this year you know obviously I'm giving it away but who led the Big 12 in sacks and tackles for loss last year does anybody know that answer it was WBU top 10 of the country in sax tackles for loss can they get G on the ground they actually kept everybody in the pass rush off a top 10 P off a top 10 sack tackle for lost team and then added an All-American pass rusher you know that's not even been talked about in this game I think seriously there's a lot to like about West Virginia this game people are just looking at this from a 100 foot View and I'm looking at this and just saying what am I missing you know like what am I missing here I'm biased I get that but when I try to be when I when I make myself be objective here in this game there are players I must not know about obviously I love the linebacker for hean for Penn State obviously one of the best pass rushers in America if not the best is on the other side two of the best if you can if you can out if you count uh uh Donnie or however you say say his name uh but but but white mil's better than both of those guys in my opinion he hasn't allowed a sack in over two years I I just uh you know obviously you can move to the other side you got another conversation but West virgin's got answers for a lot of the questions that your average Insider wouldn't thank you keep choing yeah that's exactly right people look at the names of the the teams and then go off recent history you're right and looking at this deep obviously I've dug extremely deep into this you know and that doesn't count all the numbers that really favor Garrett green in a game like this Old Miss really tested the Penn State secondary last year in a bowl game right was it Old Miss was that who they played sometimes sometimes I get teams confused you know yeah oh miss 3825 you know Miss is definitely a more talented team than West Virginia I'm not saying that they're not but some of the stuff that Miss has West Virginia always also has Jackson Dart who was this close to being West Virginia Mountaineer by the way uh well I wouldn't say this close but he was in the conversation we definitely tried to get him uh and instead instead we got JT Daniels but anyway um can you imagine what would have happened there if if Graham Herold would have brought us Jackson Dart instead of JT Daniels everything we know about West Virginia is different instead of Garrett green we've got Jackson Dart coming into his Junior recer season wild man there's not many quarterbacks that I would consider over Garrett I would have to think about it you know Jackson dart's going to be an NFL player for sure so I love Garrett don't want to trade him in but you guys get where I'm coming from Jay mclanahan W has dogs like TJ Jackson Shawn Martin and French these guys are hungry let them loose yeah I'm interested to see what TJ looks like in this game this is gonna be a massive step up for his first game luckily for the the WVU defensive line especially they've been going against an offensive line that's let's say Penn State's offensive line overperforms you know and and can get on some maybe even par with West Virginia's offensive line this year they're gonna be ready you know because they've had to go up against there's at least three guys in the offensive line that I'm confident will play at the next level two will start at the next level you know so the left side of West Virginia's offensive line is you can make a case it's the best in college football with Tomas remack and Wyatt milm so I'm really excited about it uh it's gonna be fun man you know it's going to be fun so uh obviously I don't like I said though I don't know every I don't know every in andout to 10 State there's probably some stuff that's going to surprise me but I I just think when you look at it logically and I this is how I break it down every time in my head when I think of this game the major questions for Penn State in West Virg's favor are the offensive line replacing three NFL players the you got a number one wide receiver in a tight end and not much else uh unless flimming really comes on or the other guy that my dude uh was telling me about that was really pushing him in Camp uh which maybe means you got a number three at the same time fairly uh and then obviously the West Virginia offensive line is going to be could be a stalemate to their defensive line I I'm listen I wouldn't be shocked if their dline got the best of us at times on Saturday if not a lot but I do think what West Virginia Z line also has a capable a capability to win that battle and if that happens then we're in really good shape because I like us you know I think our wide receivers are going to be I like ours better than theirs I'll tell you that you know West Virginia has three freshman last year in this game I I swear man I mean it's just not even the same team you know what I mean it's really not it's wild man uh let's see all right so last year it's insane man I just it's you know when you look at this here are some of the names that started in last year's game just to give you a little taste of how some things have changed Lance Dixon started in this game last year he's not even starting at the P at the group five level right now which is pretty shocking considering he started at Penn State Mike L lockard's at SMU of all places Telly went to Florida State on the DMP he's not even playing uh and then you look at like Andrew Wilson lamp Mr Mr punt himself and then you got guys like Jeremiah Aaron that started at receiver last year guys nuts you know like Cortez Braham Jeremiah Aaron and dein Carter were your three starting wide receivers last year you know and now you've got trayon Ray HUD the CL Preston Fox Jaden Bray and Justin Robinson uh pretty wild man how how things can change and the thing is is Bray and and Aaron didn't last outside of that basically the first two games they were done after that and Hudson kit Rodney Gallagher and and all those guys uh really got to play the rest of the Year John waffle trolling thanks for the $2 Super Chat honestly I don't think W have a chance to score that's that's that makes no sense you know it really doesn't uh but I respect your opinion yeah I mean it makes no sense though you know West Virginia's got three NFL offensive lineman at least on that team with two the two better running backs that's another case I will make for this and I've had Penn State fans call me crazy but first of all I think Jem White's better than any running back or skill player in the this game that's my opinion I I I'm on record of saying it already I think je white is going to win Big 12 offensive player of the year I think he's gonna do big numbers this year in the pass and running game uh but I'll take I'll take CJ Donaldson and and Jem white over single ten and Allen I mean I really will if you're tell if you're giving me 2022 Singleton and Allen maybe maybe we can talk okay because they had great Seasons both but they really fell off a cliff last year and CJ and Jahim went up to the number one power four rushing attack in in the in the country right so no that game ended when West Virginia ran into a punt or or when West Virginia get a stop ran to the punt right am I wrong with that am I thinking of a different game I can't even remember now but at the end of the day man like I said West Virginia ran for as many yards as Penn State did both teams ran for 150 yards West Virginia can run they can put up 200 on this team they can get 50 more yards really they could have last year the big difference is that West virgin can pass the ball this year you know they they brought in two power five starting receivers along with with what what they started the year they they had three freshman receivers start the rest of the year after that game you know so they're already really ready really ready for this game uh Penn State fans will hate me forever after Saturday because I I've already put $100 on it like I have not been as confident in a game as this one a long time so call me crazy if you want to but I've looked deep into it and Penn State's got a lot of talent a lot of positions but I really believe really believe that West vir Indians got a great chance to win this game so maybe I'm delusional and if so it's fine with me you know good with it it's going to be a war and I like our chances I've looked closely at both teams we have the talent our offense was not clicking last year and our defense is going to be much better you know that's something pen State won't acknowledge though they they refus to you know Garrett greens wasn't his first start technically but it was his first year was a starting quarterback he had started one or two games but uh this is his first time ever you know you're on the road in Happy Valley Neil Brown is on the hot seat literally he was supposed to be fired so they didn't open up the offense they couldn't Neil Brown was fighting for his career you know and then they figured it out as the year went pretty much a score uh I really have have it I was supposed to do a preview today I'll tell you guys what's going on I think I told you this yesterday too but uh locked on West Virginia was supposed to start today and then my power went out and I'll just show you this so really quick I'll show y'all something oops okay uh settings permissions okay so you see this right here it says pending so what that is is in order for me to become locked on West Virginia I have to give them my channel feed which is he you know that's like for me it was really hard to do because I built this the street green is more focused on this game than any has played I'm sure well he knows okay look if we lose this game and win the next four it won't do as much for his career as winning this one game I believe uh meeting Penn State the way they're ranked right now uh with all the hype this game's got the hype of a top 10 matchup it really does like between the the the two fan bases there's a ton of hype here man it's wild who you talking to Bubby P state has three new coordinators that's not easy yeah yeah that's a great Point too and I brought that up with other shows oh my tailbone oh God that hurts oh man I got a stain on my shirt anyway uh yeah they do obviously you've got uh yurich is out Diaz is out C Mick and Allen are in I don't know the Penn State or who the the other coordinator is I guess it's special teams I didn't even know that happened to be honest um but uh you know do I think Allen's a better coordinator than Diaz I don't know about that I mean they had a top five defense last year no I mean I'm not from Ohio I grew up in West Virginia my whole life moved to Ohio that doesn't mean I'm from Ohio you know what I mean but uh I can't control that I got in trouble here man you know if you want the truth of it everybody here knows my past I've been to prison four times you know what I mean so uh and I'm definitely not proud of that but once you get stuck in a state for doing dumb things when you're young you you kind of got to stay there so at the end of the day you know like I tell people all the time I'm five years clean I'm proud of that um getting caught in ironon Ohio is one of the dumbest things I've ever done doing it was even dumber and I've had to live in Ohio for legal reasons for a long time now you know that should all be over soon but I don't count my chickens before they hatch buddy my eggs before they hatch Stephen light thank you green is a good quarterback Penn State wins if they can keep pressure on him if not then green can carry this team have a good week in any of it you too man thank you for that I appreciate that Stephen very much thanks man and look you know I've had people criticize me and say that I uh what is it ask for sympathy within the story and all that you know well it was just one person but it bothers me I don't you know like I use in teaching moments when I can like my story is for like you know basically the way I just sum it up is you ain't got to be me right you don't have to ruin aspects of your life uh like I did so you know I usually bring that up or some you know I'm an overshare because obviously if you I did a lot of dumb things to end up in prison four times uh I only did crimes twice and the other two times were like probation violations and they sent me back so technically I you know but I mean just I'm not trying to minimize it I'm just saying like I didn't technically commit four separate prison offenses you know but uh but they did send me four times on two charges and still kept me on I got in trouble in 2007 and I haven't been off P off what they call paper probation a day since because the way things are in Ohio uh I know you're not here to listen to that but long story short man they in Ohio if you get caught on a on a charge uh let's say you you get caught for uh burglary that I think that carries up to eight years they'll usually sit in Judo about half which before if you're if you're uh if you you know take it to the box or whatever or to the box meanss to all the way with the judge and then what they do they have a thing called post-release control in Ohio it's actually being disputed heavily still to this day it's almost like double jeopardy but let's say I sent you to four years in prison in Ohio and you get out of that four years the thing about post-release control is it's it's it's a basically a law that's written in they can resentence you up to half your original sentence if you don't abide by the post relase control it's not parole it's not you're getting out a year early you know and you run parole for getting out early I sent you to four years that's all I heard right you go you do your time you get you get a piece of paper three months before you leave saying you're on poster Release Control and if you violate it you can get sentenced up to Happ your original sentence so they kept me on paper because I was so mad over bitterer I don't want to get into it all but the very first thing I ever got in trouble for I actually didn't do so I don't want to go into the details but I got accused of something I didn't know how to defend myself and I just I ended up going to prison for it because I was afraid they told me I'd get all these years if I just didn't plea out so I did and then it made me so mad that I fell into drugs and all that stuff that comes so bitter you know and that turned into I think that had I went got out of the Marines I was 22 years old I got in all that trouble and that happened I didn't stop till I was 35 so from 22 to 35 I was a drug addled just massive a person and I'm about to be 40 you know so the system definitely screwed me up and you know I'm not saying I wasn't making mistakes when all that happened it's part of the reason people didn't believe me about the charge but you know it was like the boy cried wolf really because I was writing bad checks and stuff like on my parents and I'm not proud of I'm very very upset and sad that I ever did that but uh you know when I was accused of this thing I couldn't you know it was a burglary charge and I couldn't you know refute it because I was technically in the area so it was just I just went with it you know I know I just went off on a tangent you guys over here listen to that and I'm sorry but um and he just asked me if I lived in Ohio this what I mean by I'm overshare because of the therapy I've had to go through to like get past all that stuff sometimes I just break it I just go off and I'm so sorry y'all I hope you don't hate me for it all right uh I see seen somebody ask a question here I appreciate you guys you know I appreciate that too Jeff I just don't you know I don't want to pat on the back for something I should have been doing all along but I do recognize it as an amazing accomplishment as well it's when it's like a catch 22 because I realize like it's it's hard to do but uh would they deserve to be a little higher yeah but that's just how it works you know plus there's other teams winning and losing like Georgia Tech's going to be there congratulations to congratulations to Georgia Tech on doing what we want to do I think they caught a much I don't want to say much because we because Florida State's really good at you know the trenches and they got a lot of athletes but they don't have the team they had last year poor Mike norell but uh I think they caught a little bit easier of an out than we did just a little bit that Florida State team just of crack some people will sell their body while another person will just work or job and wait till they get paid you know or or or loan and upon everything they got that's what I be by those levels to it you know and I was one of the people like I'm just one of those people I experien complete homelessness like that's where I got you know I got to the point to where I was I'll tell you what I'll show you guys one one more thing if you don't care to see uh I'll show you where I was five years ago the day that I got clean well the day before I got clean what I looked like uh the transformation mean what could she have thought sometime I'm glad I look back at that picture I'm glad I have it never did I think I was going to change the next day uh you know what happened was long story short was I walked you don't know where I'm from but I walked from ironon Ohio to Huntington West Virginia you know because we were so screwed up but uh during that walk this girl I was with I was carrying her backpack around she just started going into other people's mailboxes just High you know and so she starts going to other people's mailboxes and I'm trying to keep her out of trouble you know so I'm like come on come on come on you know over and over again I've got her stuff well they they pulled up on me and I had her backpack on me and of course she had stuff in her backpack even though it was a girl's backpack she took off running with that cop car came and I just stood there like a dummy but it saved my life you know uh he the cop still didn't believe me I didn't know it was in her bag I couldn't tell him yes or no the questions he was asking me like the singer The Black Crows yeah bottom line is the world is a better come on man thank you appreciate that it does take pride to to the sidelines into the locker room for halftime and we had our heads down and I just oh my God the reaction I had I cried so hard they didn't let me watch West Virginia football the rest of that year I had to have my dad record the game against Oklahoma and not tell me what happened until I got home like two months later so Matt dicks throwing heat just a reason to blame pool losses Live Gold couple times and uh yeah sad he left behind kids too you know in a wife tons of people cried at that game I was at the student section for it you could hear a pin drop yeah I'm sure you never forget Pat trying to throw that pass at the end the cloner was so so D dang funny when we lost yeah yeah gold blue dude was great Penn State will not be better on offense they were 12th last year we we scared of Penn State's new offense if anything the firing of a coordinator hurts them early I think so Matt I think you're right but I do worry about K Nikki a little bit because of you know the way they did us the last time they were here and how he tricked us so and we got a young here's another little thing that I haven't talked about because been trying to stay positive but our linebacking core is extremely young guys we don't have le excuse me leoba this year I just worry about our linebacker fits because C Micki the last time we played Kansas the reason they scored so much on it was because we Misfit everything in the Run game I I don't think they Nick Singleton can house anything you know and Allen is more like CJ but I just worry about it you know I we'll see that is a worry I have as our linebackers versus their running game I'm kind of hoping their offensive line takes a week to jail you know and what I really hope is because obviously we're still firing on all cylinders or should be close you would think that they would have more rust than us coming into this game and if we could just steal a couple possessions even maybe get up 14 to nothing early that would be huge you know because they're going to make a run at some point like we're not gonna We fantasize about it y'all but I don't think we're gonna dominate I just don't see it happening that way I mean there's just too much extra Talent unless unless they just turn the ball like it could happen you get the fumbles you get the drops sometimes the tip ball turns into an interception you know you could turn the ball over three or four times and still be the better team and lose like lot of stuff happens but I think in a game like this we're gonna need some stuff like that to happen to win big I think we can win the game heads up unless like I said there could let if their offensive line ends up being better or something like that like because the talk out of Camp from them is what you think it could be you know and they're going to say that but if it just happens to be better then I think we might be in some trouble like there are like if you're talking about like what could go wrong what's something that would be bad for us their offensive line being good is a bad thing that and that goes for every game but this game their offensive line is literally supposed to be take you know re reloading and so we're kind of hoping that it takes them a few extra weeks because it's not going to be Talent issue like they've got talent right so what we've got to hope for is it takes them some time to Jail uh and so and that way C Nicki can't get us with his emotions and stuff because our Lineback in core is really young and he really knows how to make make a Lineback in Core Miss pit at least from the couple games that I've seen my voice is going to go out on you guys we got to pressure the quarterback that's right and here's the thing like I said we led the Big 12 in sacks last year with 33 84 tackles for loss right I'll mention that at the outset of the program we can get to the quarterback I think Tyron Bradley is the most unheralded player on this team I really think he came on strong especially North Carolina Ty Bradley's a name to watch he Ain got a lot of hype this off season for whatever reason but man did he really play well at times last year and especially against K State oh Kansas offensive coordinator is amazing Briggs he really beis he really is amazing no it's not he's supposed to be he is very like it's not even a question at this point I've seen it you know think about this B Gris what's harder than getting Kansas back like you're talking about a program that has one year that people remember them ever being good ever until they got there and it was like a a BCS win you know it was like like a 10 or 11 win season I mean it was great but like most programs have multiple of those at some point during their history Kansas never there have always been a basketball school at times in the the look Kansas lost I think two years in a row to an FCS team start of the Season since we've been in the Big 12 they were so bad it was at least a win on the schedule if you played Kansas you knew it you know and Iowa State when West Virginia first came to the Big 12 Kansas and Iowa State both were literally trash poverty programs and since West Virginia came to the Big 12 they turned into what you would consider like eight win teams you know or better uh a lot of years uh pretty crazy Transformations on both of those but codon Nikki was a huge reason for uh Kansas you know and you know I was thinking would be it's pretty funny is he would probably be considered for the West Virginia job if you brown fire or something I would imagine you know he would be probably be a candidate uh especially because I do think he's going to probably I think pin state will figure it out this year on offense I don't know if it'll be in game one I hope not I I have a lot of respect for him as a coordinator and I I worry about what they could do with pribula as well because he's he's a pretty dangerous Runner so can you acknowledge all L up your team last year W fans keep crapping on him like he's awful if he's not if he's not awful you're in trouble I don't know who that he was saying that he he had one receiver really right that's the thing I think a lot of people are saying is number one Tim he's learning a brand new offense right it's not the same offense number two Keandre lamber Smith's in Auburn Trey Wallace is your number one receiver now and Julian Fleming is maybe your number two receiver we don't know Tyler Warren's a good player he's not great at least by the numbers so far uh obviously he looks like he could be but numbers wise I mean he's Cole Taylor has the same numbers for West Virginia so it's not that he's not great it's who are his Playmakers is what I feel but um as far as him being a great quarterback yeah he's good look at the numbers they said speak for themselves fans are GNA crap talk to him you gotta understand that I think the bigger thing we we're trying to get across to you all is Garrett green is extremely dangerous we don't he gets no credit done you know uh and people think because like how they played last year he's not very good and he's just not that quarterback anymore you know like he he literally that was his first of 11 starts and he literally had a top 10 alltime rushing season last year for a quarterback with almost 800 yards and 13 touchdowns and that didn't start until after Penn State you know two of the three starting receivers didn't even play the rest of the year after that because they sucked you know they started because Neal was fik for his job they were older if you want know the truth but anyway yeah I mean I would never say actually I got a lot of heat for saying Aller was really good after the game last year people said he wasn't but here's another thing Tim on the road against Illinois on the road against other teams oh miss at the ball game like he has been shown the ability to get rattled on the road and so I promise you guys playing Happy Valley I'm not saying that we're Happy Valley but I'm telling you right now that West Virginia will Challenge and rival any road game that you play in the Big 10 outside of maybe one or two games in the conference like we you'll see like we we really do represent ourselves well from a road standpoint and if you got rattled in Illinois I've got something to tell you but generally speaking from a skill set perspective dur is exactly what you want a quarterback but the Kansas passing attack mix doesn't really mix with what he does as well although he can run with it it's very sneaky uh he's more like a Ben rothberger type Runner that's really hard to bring down can't tackling it's hard to sack in the pocket really strong I mean he's probably 66 240 uh so but you know he run he's like in that 48 49 maybe range so he's not running away from anybody but can he get you 10 to 15 yards on a on a keep yeah hell that might even be the first play Call of the year for Kansas you know in the shotgun maybe do a little uh RPO action with uh Nick evilon KRON Allen to uh Trey Wallace yeah that'd probably be my first play call and then let Drew Aller pull it you probably get 20 yards oh yeah right you're crazy you're trying to be silly or did I miss another comment you're probably talking about prula okay I thought you were talking about I was read your com I read your comment out of context I thought you about Aller reminds you of green I've watched fibula I think he's a great Runner I don't think he's quite the runner that that Garrett is you know but what Garrett accomplished last year was by the Numbers the top 10 alltime rushing season for a quarterback that's pretty dang good by the way white has like two of those from West Virginia and he also when he when he left West Virginia was the alltime alltime leader NCAA history for a quarterback so but yeah I'm scared of Primula and the packages they might have for him I was surprised he didn't transfer this offseason but maybe they've talked him into sticking around similar to how uh West Virginia has a backup by the way Nico marel uh you know obviously he could factor into this game if Garrett gets hurt or something which is I haven't talked about it nearly as much this year it's still my biggest fear about Garrett is his availability when he's out there he's great but he's missed a couple games both the years right so there's a lot of questions about Garrett healthwise that I worry about but we have to cross that bridge when we get to it hope that Nico can wi the offense like we hope you know like we'll so all
