My Thoughts on The Creator Classic! Luke Kwon Wins, Roger Impresses & What Needs To Improve

what's up everyone welcome back to the channel just want to give my quick thoughts on the Creator classic um overall I thought it was great it's a huge step for all content creators you know with the PJ tour putting them all on their stage Wednesday before the Tour Championship playing you know East Lake n hole event you had 16 of the top content creators in the game from you know gar Clark um you know michah Morris you had uh M beler you had had Luke Quan the Brian Bros you name it there was all the top guys fat Perez Roger steel and you know I thought I thought it was great it was you know there were some moments on the coverage that were definitely lacking you know I feel like I I wish they had it more you know walking down the FOH with these guys get into their heads a bit see what they're going through there were a lot of moments you know you're like Okay show some golf show some golf and there were a lot of times where you're wondering why they weren't showing some of the guys like you know Garrett they barely show it at all um you know he was one under through one in the lead off to a hot start and then you didn't really see much of him um definitely overall a step in the right direction and you know they're only going to improve um as they keep doing these things so um I'm excited to see where where it goes as far as the golf I thought these guys played pretty darn good I mean way better than I had I thought and to be honest way better than some of the pros thought these guys would play they asked them the question what would a scratch golfer shoot on this course and there guys were saying 90s it would probably be tough I mean there's no chance they'll break even that's for sure 42 to 45 I think they'll probably be over par depending on sort of How High they hit the ball and if they're coming from the Fairway or not is going to really determine their success it's the same for us from what I've heard it's um it would be unbelievable if they shot in the 90s I think you know this and that obviously they only played nine holes here but these guys were even one under you know a couple over they played fantastic for for a tour setup course playing as hard as East Lake is you know the newly the newly designed East Lake which is um you know playing Super firm and hard right now and just a tough setup right so you had these guys like Roger steel um Luke Juan Shawn Walsh um obviously Wesley's a pro um get into the playoff and they were all under par so just fantastic scoring and just show that these guys can play man they're not you know yeah they're content creators but at the end of the day they're just great golfers as well right so I thought overall I was super impressed by the the level of golf that these guys played and even even some of these guys who finished one shot back you had like Michael Morris was even part you had Brad doy who was even par so just great scores and uh yeah I I was impressed as far as the pre-event predictions I think most people were picking Wesley and George as their you know top two to to win it and Wesley was my pick obviously you know he's he's a tour pro he's one on tour he's just you know I feel like he's at that next level and you know he made he shot the best score in the first eight holes to get himself into the playoff he was minus two the number one guy that really impressed me today um is Roger steel the guy just brought it from the very first hole he bombs it off the te um he made some clutch putts today made a 55f footer for birdie gotu W feel like he'd happily take two from up here y oh beautiful one can it go Roger Ste get it to go from Deep [Applause] range ties the lead um he just brings a certain energy that is um you can see why he's one of the top content creators in the game so you know he made it to the playoff uh unfortunately he he even said in his post he's a little confused as far as where to hit it on 18 you saw Wesley uh hit it way left he's okay what do I hit it here so you know he was a little confused on on that hole but you know still almost made it to a chip off if uh luk Juan didn't didn't make his putt so great showing by him um you know hell of a player and he just brings that that energy they showed a graphic which I thought was really cool uh Roger steel when he was five years old getting a lesson from Tiger Woods like how awesome is that and then just growing up to be you know in the Golf Scene um as one of the top content creators um playing at East Lake the Wednesday before the Tour Championship on a place that tiger has so much history with just just incredible um yeah so I'm sure this was you know even more special for him um and uh yeah other than that you know you had uh Michael Morris who almost made it into the playoff he was just one shot back he had a chance on the last hole to to make a putt to get in um and if lukan didn't make his putt they would have gone into a chip off um you know you had Garrett who had a early Birdie on one a leader after one and then I think he had a blow up on the third ho I believe we got a nine so you know just relatable one of us um not really but um yeah and after that didn't they didn't really show Garrett much which was uh disappointing you know I'm sure you can see it in the comments on the live chat on YouTube everyone's like show more Garrett show more Garrett and so uh ma Belcher he struggled today he's been dealing with a thumb injury um you know he's been posting about it you know last uh a little while and you know injury or not golf is is just a hard game you know and if you ever had an injury whether it's a thumb or back or anything it just makes it that much harder so you know shout out to Mack for just putting himself out there teeing it up and just you know he's a great player so um yeah hats off to him um you know you had obviously George he played solid just one over he could have been easily two under if just some putts went down um you know you had some other golfers fat Perez Paige sparck um you know a bunch of others Brad and they were just all right there in the mix um you know fat press a little bit today but you know he's a hell of a player too if you ever watch his videos at one point there was over 105,000 people watching the the stream on YouTube like that's just incredible right so that's there's definitely a lot of eyes on it and you know it's only going to get bigger and bigger um the tour tour realizes that there's a reason they finally said okay yeah let's do something with these content creators and it's only get bigger and bigger and uh yeah overall like I said I thought it was a great inaugural event obviously there's some things to iron out as far as the coverage goes I think we can all agree on that wasn't perfect um but it's a step in the right direction and you yeah I can't see what I can't wait to see what uh what comes next for for the tour uh and the content creators and yeah I think
