Intro [Music] hey friends I'm Steve and I'm Angela and we are midlife cruising shout out to our friend Daryl he is a a fellow resident and he made us all name tags so thanks Daryl because woo learning all these people's names is a challenge I feel like I'm back at work when I taught high school and learning 150 names it's about amount it's about the amount of people we have on board right now on this episode what are we going to talk about well this is our sights and sounds of the V Odyssey uh we've been on board for maybe [Music] 5 days I'm not six days five six something like that um remember we're not yet sleeping on board but we come every morning we have brunch um and then we have dinner we spend the day we get to know uh new people hang out with some friends lot of new people that arrive daily yes and experiencing everything the boat has to offer her amenities we've had some entertainment and bars are open um and one of the big questions we're getting is oh but you're still staying in the hotel um v v is helping cover some of those costs they have this basically a perdum day so all of you freaking out that we're losing tons of money they're helping us out you know the best they can with the budget we have right now getting all the other things ready so we're okay now yes it's very expensive and Belfast but you know we're doing what we're can and we're really enjoying being on board all day in this episode we uh we're going to visit the spa see our friends down there uh they're from Bali and maius so it's interesting to see where all the workers come from all over the world yes uh what else do we do in this uh video uh the food I think you show us all um I think you filmed the brunch buffet and the dinner buffet yeah we'll uh we'll show you each one of those meals in this episode and some just a few things we want to address because the comments we're getting um no we are not we were not hired or nor are we paid by Villa v um there's been this perception in the comments and we've had two separate people on board shocked when they learned that we weren't hired by Villa V so yes we tend to be very positive and upbeat people um but we joke that if we were filming our walk to and from the ship every day we feel like that's when we get to like decompress we vent with each other any frustrations we have so so of course it's frustrating um to not be sailing already but we understand it's a startup we've accepted um that there may be hiccups along the way and that the owners are doing what they can to you know get through these obstacles um yes we still have faith in them we get that all the time how can you guys you know hang on there um but we just just you know we keep looking uh to the bright side and looking to the Future knowing what this you know can potentially be so we're hanging on to that hope and we know they're Pioneers bottom line they're pioneers and this will be the first truly affordable residential cruise ship so we're hanging in there uh during this episode you're going to see many different facets of the ship I tried to do as much as I could here if there's some place that you're really interested in seeing that I didn't cover please uh let us know in the comments below and we'll be sure to uh get that uh get those video clips out and you'll see Construction in various forms and stages some pressure washing cleaning decks um sanding railings there are things still going on some things we filmed are in tiptop shape and some things they haven't reached to yet they had some bigger issues earlier on like the rudder stocks and you have to put all hands on deck and focus on certain things they're passing certifications getting qualified and regulations once they bought the ship even though when uh Fred uh Olen owned it they were passing all the they had already passed all these things but since it was a new buy they just started Ground Zero and they had to go through every single thing like it was a brand new first day purchase um like when you get a certificate of occupancy when you buy a house they have to go through everything all over again and they had over like 3,000 something things checklist and approvals and certifications and they're down to like aund and something so and we're knocking off about 25 35 a day so we are so close so close all right well enjoy the video oh one more thing sorry it's coming I promise um another question we get quite frequently probably I've probably answered this at least 50 times in comments so I want to make sure you know everyone's like oh the price I'm like you have to realize when you go on a cruise you have to pay for all the extras but in our monthly fee WiFi is included gratuities included laundry laundry twice a week included uh they come clean our room twice a week um oh at lunch and at dinner you may have two up to two beers or wines um at both lunch and dinner included you know those are all oh yes coffee tea sodas I'm a sparkling water girl so like those things are all included um so just wanted to answer that cuz I feel like I've written that so many times in the comments trying to save my poor fingers enjoy the
