bus adventure from tokyo [Music] lemon and green tea [Music] Sou [Music] [Music] japan roadside stations are awesome they have a really cute stamp here so got to get that [Music] [Music] R yamashi prefecture so they've got grapes oh God those look amazing those are probably so good should we get some that's cool yeah the chunks the chunks oh my God which one's the best get [Music] one got distracted by the cat going to miss the bus which one is it I think it's Highland Express kamikochi is a very interesting what's special about kamikochi location in order to preserve the beautiful scenery and Wilderness of the area only a few hotels and shops have been permitted to run and you're not allowed to bring your own car into Kami COI so if you would like to travel there by car you have to park outside of kamik COI and then ride a bus for about half an hour to get into the area we've made arriving in kamikochi + checking in it after 5 hours on the bus started raining as soon as we arrived we're just trying to figure out where to go from here to get to our [Music] hotel wow look at how clean the water is it looks so nice I want to go swimming so we're staying at the Lista hotel tonight it looked quite nice we booked the the very last room I booked about 3 weeks ago it was the last room available Kami coochi is very popular in the summer because it's a lot cooler here I think it's about 10° cooler than Tokyo which is what we wanted exciting we were able to check in early that's awesome it's yeah oh there's a kashk that's cool [Music] all right let me give you guys a little room tour we have a walk-in closet which I never use towels and stuff here for the onen don't know if we'll be going to the on sign it's still a bit too hot to want to be in super hot water I feel like but maybe later I'll feel different about it a cute washroom so many amend bathtub shower it's quite a large room speci there's [Music] cookies these are like beds by themselves I could have had like three more beds in here yeah right like a bed you could sleep on that I love that that's going out for a hike huge so dinner is at 6:00 p.m. until then we're going to go hiking they gave us this cool walking map of the area look how pretty it is we're going to head down to the most famous spot that everybody takes photos of this this really pretty Bridge that's right cup ofi yeah we are but there's other like how how do you know that are you sure that's the best Bridge yeah that's the good one look like another Bridge here and here there's our hotel there okay that's pry close all right we're going to head out I've got my pouch stamp book camera walking M this hotel is awesome they've got all this stuff you can take with you on your hike we're going to bring some bear Bells thank you just in case and binoc I think so cuz they're supposed to be wild birds like lots of birs let's take a pair of binocul and then should we bug spray ourselves yes can you do the back of my neck as well just do like a perfume spray and I'll walk [Music] through go so there are beautiful hiking paths all throughout the area you don't need any special Footwear or hiking equipment they're all very easy however if you would like a challenge there are some very tall mountains that you can climb up us and I are just going to keep it chill this trip and do some relaxing hiking through the forest we just want a break from the city life and Kami coachi is perfect for that unfortunately it started to rain a little bit but we made it over to kabashi bridge the famous suspension bridge it shakes a little bit as you walk over it this is where you will find everybody gathering in the area there are cafes and restaurants nearby and this is probably where you can get the best views of Kami coochi the rain started to get a little heavier so we decided to go back to our hotel and just chill out for a little bit and wait for it to clear up I brought my indoor moon festival picnic sakuro box along on the trip and we were going to have a fun little picnic outside but then it started raining so we're going to have a fun little picnic inside it is the special harvest moon celebration box this month skimy Festival is coming up here in Japan it's when people get together with their friends friends and family and they go outside and they view the beautiful full moon and they eat snacks our hotel back from hiking and it's 4: to 6 so it's dinner time so I think it's like a fancy French course dinner they didn't tell you much about it when you reserved the hotel so it's kind of a surprise but from the pictures it looks pretty fancy sounds awesome kiche spinach bread beef sounds so good dinner at the hotel was very delicious it was French cuisine quite fancy my favorite was probably the fish course oh it was so good it had this tropical fruit sauce on top super yummy we could have second helpings of the roast beef if we wanted but there were so many courses that we were stuffed by the end of it we weren't really sure what to expect for the dinner at this hotel so this was a really nice what is happening surprise dinner was amazing we just got back to our room and we noticed that people are outside with flashlights going for a walk and I don't understand why and they had all these flashlight lights for use what are they doing there's more do you guys know what they're doing out there why would you want to go for a hike in the forest when it's pitch black what the heck and it's cloudy so it's not like they're out there looking at the stars or anything so I really don't get it if you know what they're doing please let us know we're very confused we feel like we're missing out we're going to go found a private onsen bath check out the Kash Kitty ofo cuz we saw that one was available oh it's really [Music] cute awesome that's so cool you can just pop in and use it I wonder how hot it is sometimes they're so hot that I can't even get in that's quite hot but it's usable I think and they've prepared some drinks for people using the bath so sweet I love this hotel it's really nice there a little area to do your makeup and hair afterwards have fun see you [Music] later yep all right I think we're going to say good night here it is 8:00 p.m. but we're both up really early this morning to catch the bus from Shinu so feeling pretty sleepy tomorrow our goal is to find some monkeys because we are looking at lots of Vlogs and reviews about kamikochi and so many people have seen monkeys and we have not seen one monkey yet so go for tomorrow go for a hike on the river find some monkeys eat some apple pie because the area is famous for apple pie so see you guys in the morning for our very important to-do list good night the secret to enjoying kamikochi [Music] hi Hotel we're checking out that was a really Lovely Hotel food was amazing staff was so kind and it's in such a good location so I really recommend it if you're coming to stay incoming coochi there are several hotels along this route I think they're all kind of similarly priced we're going to go stamp hunting now let's head into town and see if we can find any cute stamps there's got to be something here what we discovered on this trip is the key to enjoying Kami coochi is to get up very early we woke up and were out of the hotel room by 6:00 a.m. there were way less people outside it was a lot cooler way less humid there was this awesome Mist all over the water it was just perfect hiking [Music] conditions although it's not as popular as the kabashi bridge area with visitors my absolute favorite location of the trip were the dakawa wetlands there were way less people here super pretty views and it's only 15 minutes from the bridge area so if you're incoming coochi definitely hike out to the wetlands and explore there so so [Music] beautiful you saw this cute little post found the jackpot office we're hoping they're going to have some kind of special fuk or something or a postcard [Music] jackpot why are there so many stamps is that awesome they also have a fuk [Music] cute so cool 15 solid minutes of stamping later and our books are filled with cute memories of Kami coochi we popped into one of the local restaurants for lunch and uska got the fried salmon I had a Bolan pasta and then afterwards we had to go and get an apple pie because all the cafes were advertising apple pie and it just felt wrong to leave without getting one it was delicious totally worth it and then monkey hunting adventures it was time to go out and find some monkeys the last thing on our Kami coochi to-do list [Music] unfortunately it was time to catch our bus home we had not seen a monkey so we said bye to Kami coochi and I guess we'll have to come back again I
