Dolphins UDFA Tracker: Here Are All The UDFAs The Dolphins Signed After The 2024 NFL Draft

[Music] what's up Dolphins fans the Dolphins made Seven picks in the 2024 NFL draft but Chris Greer was not done adding to the roster we have a full list of udfas here that Miami elected to sign I believe there is 12 in total and we're going to go through each one of them say what they could bring to the roster and just give an overview of their profile the first group of four that we're going to go over is as followed a quarterback from UTEP Gavin Hardison um we'll talk about him more in depth in a second here but jaquin Burton the wide receiver from FAU Hayden Ruchi the tight end from Wisconsin which honestly might be my favorite one we signed and then Andrew Meyer the center from UTEP a pair of utap guys coming to Miami but let's start start with Hardis obviously we've seen him vfa success in the past with Miami at quarterback um it's it's a crowded room with Mike White and Skyler Thompson backing up to a tug of aloa right now it's going to be hard for any of these guys to potentially make the roster in Miami when we get down to 53 um closer to the season but Gavin Hardis 61 basically 6'2 200 lb not ranked older Prospect we'll see if he can do anything in Miami jaquin Burton stays in South Florida fa wide receiver 5'9 and 1 18 it's going to be tough for him to make the roster if we're going to be completely honest he's going to have to really flash on special teams in order to make it because when you draft Taj Washington from USC in the seventh round you took Malik Washington in the sixth you already have Easy E and Brax and baros there those are six wide receivers I just named that I would expect to be on the roster and will Miami keep seven I'm not really sure if they will but Burton will stay in South Florida and fight for a spot someone I am actually kind of confident in making this roster as the third tight end is Hayden Ruchi I feel like he is a dynamic tight end who showed some athleticism for the Wisconsin Badgers he's got great size to him 64 250 he can block you know you have to be able to run block and pass block to be a Wisconsin tight end I think he can actually make this roster as the third tight end behind Jan new Smith and Durham Smite I know a lot of you uh Dolphins fans were upset that they didn't draft the tight end in this 2024 NFL draft but Ruchi coming in udfa is someone I'm intrigued in to make this team Andrew Meer rounds at the list the center um many people believed Miami might Target the interior offensive line more in the 2024 NFL draft they evidently did not draft one guy on the interior they picked up Andrew Meer though another utap guy 63 38 300 lb see if he can do anything in training camp and in the pre-season fellas we are so close to 56,000 subscribers just 25 away hit that sub button we'll most electric signing in all of udfas Byron Matos hopefully I'm saying that right he if you see his picture right there yes that is a basketball jersey we'll talk more in depth in a second but he has never played football before he was a basketball player for South Florida and he is making the transition to offensive line the Dolphins picked them up Matthew Jones the offensive lineman from Ohio State and then two defense lineman Grayson Murphy The Edge from UCLA which if we're going to be honest here is probably the best football player that the Dolphins sign and then Leonard paying the D tackle for Colorado but how about Matos coming from the Dominican Republic 67 and 1 18 he's a big he's a big guy man listen we've seen people have success in the past of being able to transition from basketball to football commonly it is a tight end position as you've seen Jimmy Graham Antonio Gates do that movement but Matos here is going to try to make the Dolphins roster as an offensive lineman like I said has never played a snap in a football game we'll see if he can do anything in Dolphins training camp Matthew Jones an offensive lineman from Ohio State um I'm intrigued by this pick if he could I think he has the ability to really flash here and as we get into August ota's rookie mini camp I believe Matthew Jones if he gets off to a hot start and gives you a good impression there is a chance that he could make this team as a second or third string guard but that could also get cut off if they go out and sign Dalton Riser like many of us want to do more udfas to get to but we are all right Grayson Murphy The Edge from UCLA actually the only prospect that the dolphin signed in undrafted free agency that was a draftable player according to our Tom Downey draft expert here at chat sports um he had a brother actually Gabriel Murphy also in this draft process Grayson is a productive player at UCLA um I think he's going to fight to make this roster I think he is pound-for-pound the best player on this list that we're going over I think Grayson Murphy's going to flash for the Dolphins in the pre season Leonard Payne the defensive tackle from Colorado he's got a Fresno State picture on right now but he is from Colorado um I'm intrigued to see what he can bring to the table obviously losing Christian Wilkins in free agency the defensive tackle unit for the Dolphins isn't the best right now maybe pain can make a difference for them in the beginning of the football season we'll see though listen these udfas you you you'd be happy if two or three of these guys are able to make the roster we still got four more udfas to get to but grade the Dolphins udfa list so far or you could just come back after you listen to the last four and give a full ranking of the udfas a b c d or F let me know the comment section four DBS to round out today's list and honestly I'd probably put at the ud rankings the second best player and the third best player on this list both being storm duck and Mark Perry the corner from Louisville who transferred from North Carolina and then the safety from TCU Isaiah Johnson also a corner from Syracuse is on the list and Jordan colber a safety from Rhode Island but let's get to storm duck because this one is very interesting because he was a very high recruit I believe a fourstar when he went to North Carolina transferred after three seasons to Louisville around out his collegiate career he was very productive he's a ball Hawk he honestly is kind of a hybrid Corner safety he can really be that guy to sit back in range and a lot of teams wanted storm duck and according to Barry Jackson they gave him a 20K signing B bonus and 150k guaranteed with multiple members of the front office calling him to recruit him to South Florida so it's someone that they obviously coveted and other teams wanted as well because cuz that is a hefty price to pay for a udfa storm duck will likely be someone to make the roster in September Isaiah Johnson the corner from Syracuse another DB here clearly the Dolphins want to bring in some defensive back help during the udfa process having four of them signed we'll see what Isaiah Johnson can do Mark Perry another player that was coveted by the Dolphins and other teams around the league just like storm duck Dolphins had to give him 150k guaranteed to get him to the 305 and also gave him a 15,000 signing bonus and there was a lot of teams interested in Mark Perry Services according to Aaron Wilson another draftable player according to Tom Downey Mark Perry I talked to a TCU Lum here at chat sports and he said he's athletic he plays hard he tackles he's not afraid to get in the box but is skeptical and sketchy in coverage we'll see if Mark Perry can bring that athleticism and hard-hitting background to Miami last player on the list Jordan Colbert safety from Rhode Island so two safeties two cornerbacks here to round out the list clearly something the Dolphins wanted to address Chris Greer and Mike McDaniels going out and signing 12 udfas in the process I Believe by the way this now brings the Dolphins roster if I did my math correctly to 86 I'm not a math major I'm not good at math so I don't know if that's actually the case but I believe they're sitting at 86 which would give them four roster spots available could they go out and sign another wide receiver Tyler bour and Odell Beckham Jr has been leaked could they sign Dalton Ryner offensive guard we'll have a full video on that later this week but that is something to keep your
