breaking news coming out of a new lockdown in a US city and in the last 24 hours we're hearing that this is spreading across towns in that area they're saying that this is an approved voluntary lockdown that is taking place and this is happening after dark and this is for an incurable mosquito born infection that they're saying is right now in the United States now I'm going to be sharing with you the latest coming out on this uh and this is in Massachusetts so this is a Massachusetts now we're hearing several towns approving voluntary lockdowns to stop this from spreading from what is taking place here now uh this is going to be linked in the description below this article came out yesterday it has now been updated today and this particular disease just to clarify this is not empx this is not covid-19 this is a new mosquito shared uh virus this is passed through mosquitoes this is known as Eastern equan and sephtis virus now it says and this I'm reading directly from the CDC this is linked in the description below I'm going to be sharing with you what it is they're saying about this particular disease it says the Eastern equan en sephtis is caused by a virus spread to people through the bite of an infected mosquito it is a rare but serious disease people living in areas where Eastern equan and sephtis virus circulates should protect themselves by preventing mosquito bites Eastern equin analitis virus is spread to People by the bite of an infectious mosquito only a few cases typically are reported in the United States each year most cases occur in eastern or the Gulf Coast states although it is rare Eastern equan uh Estis is VI is very serious approximately 30% of people with Eastern equin and sephtis die and many survivors have ongoing neur ological problems so they're saying this is very serious symptoms of Eastern equin and sephtis can include fever headache vomiting diarrhea seizures behavioral change changes and drowsiness there currently is no vaccine to prevent or medicines to treat Eastern equin and sephtis so they're saying that there is no cure at this time you can reduce your risk of infection with Eastern equin and sephtis virus by preventing mosquito bites so right now they are saying that there is no cure for this they have no vaccines there's nothing that can be done about it so right now I'm going to be sharing with you how they're saying in the last roughly 24 hours or so they are now imposing lockdowns now they're saying these are voluntary lockdowns but they are saying please stay indoors because the concern is that we now have cases that have been verified in the United States and they're saying that if you are bitten and you have this then it is going to carry on to others and only 30% uh 30% do not survive and also they're saying you could carry this on for the rest of your life you could have uh issues neurological issues damage done to your body now this article is coming out was updated today says massachusett town which now we're hearing several towns have approved voluntary lockdowns after dark is fears of an incurable mosquito born infection is now growing residents in Massachusetts town are being urged not to leave their homes after dark due to the spread of this deadly mosquito born virus the Board of Health in Oxford a city with 13,300 people about 50 miles Southwest of Boston has set an outdoor curfew in hopes that it will reduce the chances of people being bitten by mosquitoes which carry Eastern equin and sephtis or Triple E which I just shared with you is the virus of concern that they are saying is mosquito shared through mosquito bites uh and do me a favor I see we've got almost 1,800 people live with me in the room if you appreciate the breaking news updates keeping you up to speed on everything please take a second hit the like button for me just spreads this out further don't forget to hit subscribe to stay up toate it's totally free Julia thank you for the $5 Super Chat I see you thank you for that support I appreciate it a ton and also this article along with the CDC reference to e e so you can read it for yourself is linked in the description below it says it comes after a resident was uh was the first human to contract the rare and untreatable illness known as Triple E domestically in nearly four years now Triple E causes a fever and brain swelling and can lead to seizures and Comas one-third of the people that are infected with Triple E uh will lose their life and those who recover are often left with lifelong physical and mental difficulties uh It also says that the dusk curfew that is taking place so they're saying when it becomes dark you need to be inside now this is voluntary they're saying but please adhere to it because they don't want this to spread which Falls around 8:00 pm in Massachusetts is only a recommendation it is not a rule but the town officials are hoping that it will push people inside before Peak mosquito hours reducing the risk of exposure while not a requirement the local school district is now enforcing the curfew meaning after school programs and sports they may be cancelled ended early or moved indoors something many parents students and athletes are taking issue with nearly 1,000 Oxford residents have signed an online petition to keep Sports Fields open they said Robert Harper thank you for the $2 doll Super Chat I appreciate the support a ton Oxford Webster football and sheer vice president Josh zimsky said at a meeting Wednesday being heard is our number one goal let us decide I'm a parent uh I coach my son and yes things happen and I can take precautions and two sisters on the cheerleading squad are afraid that the curfew will impact their season one of them uh in eighth grade told CBS this is my last year as a cheerleader on this team and I would really be upset if I missed out on it uh her mom added that numbers don't require a drastic action like they are taking at this time so uh right now we're seeing this being imposed at this time and let me know do you agree with the uh with the parents and with the cheerleaders and the the athletes uh they are saying that they want to go ahead and continue on um and some of them are saying that they can go ahead and take the risk even though they're seeing these cases do you think that they should do so or should there be lockdowns if you think that they should be able to go out on their own risk put a one if you think no they need to uh follow and adhere to the rules of this lockdown to stop the spread put a two I'd be curious to see what people's thoughts are on this as we're hearing that this is a City Lockdown that is currently being imposed and I'm seeing ones and twos coming back and forth there's actually a split decisions on this some are saying uh no one let them do what they want two saying no please adhere to these rules to stop the potential spread of this Triple E virus which we are hearing there is no cure for uh there is no vaccine and it could leave you with lifelong issues if it does not end your life they said that one is already too many even if you do survive usually there are severe Health impacts neurological impacts that can hit you uh but Public Health director uh Reich stett said and he told the attendees of the school we don't want to see another human case of Triple E this year Town officials clarified on Facebook this evening the Board of Health met for the first time to be updated by the director of the public health since the town of Oxford along with three bordering communities were being placed at critical risk for Triple E the Eastern equestrian intis now the memorandum clearly states that all private Town leagues uh they can continue to opt to play beyond the dph recommendations and those jointly adopted by all four towns that are in critical status so there are four Towns now in this city that they are saying in critical status to potential exposure to Triple E from the mosquitoes no one is Banning fields for use by private leagues and never stated such they said now for anyone seeking to play Outdoors beyond the recommend curfews recommendation curfews they will need to be they will need to contact the town for further information officials have not released a location or the identity of the man that has been infected but have said that he is in his 80s lives in Oxford and contracted the illness last week the Triple E risk level has been escalated to critical in four cities now excuse me so I thought it was just four towns in the city it is actually Four cities now where they have escalated it to the critical level and increased moderates in nine other cities as well okay wow so I didn't realize that this was actually spreading outside to other cities in the areas they're saying that they are at critical levels Sheila Randall thank you for the $5 Super Chat use Avon Skin So Soft to keep away the mosquitoes no lockdowns again yeah I am seeing a lot of ones coming in people saying no no lockdowns but I am seeing some twos people are saying we need to take precaution um so let me know one or two in the comments and when you do that don't forget take a second hit that like button so that way this spreads out further more people can get the updates as to what is going on right now as we are hearing that there is no cure for this uh mosquito bit spread uh disease of Triple E however people with serious cases they can develop menitis swelling of the brain spinal cord issues or intis swelling of the brain these symptoms include fever headache vomiting diarrhea seizure behavioral changes drowsiness and even Comas uh let's see approximately 33% of the people with Triple E will lose their life uh this typically occurs about two to 10 days after the onset of the system uh of the symptoms wow okay so uh you're probably not going to make it more than two weeks once you have contracted this for people who survive they are left with brain damage and ongoing disabilities that require long-term care they may lose their life within a few years after recovering from this initial infection the CDC has said only a handful of Triple E cases are reported in the US every year and are most often in the Eastern or the Gulf Coast states so far in 2024 two additional human cases of Triple E have been reported in two other states Vermont and New Jersey and all three us patients have developed severe neuroinvasive cases wow okay so all the PE all the cases that they've had they have been severe a record 38 cases were reported back in 2019 experts are concerned that the rise in temperatures humidity and rainfall could lead to an increase in this virus the viruses only spread from mosquitoes to humans and horses and there is no human- to human or animal to human Transmissions that they know of at this time to protect yourself against Triple E a public health advisory for the town of Oxford recommends wearing long sleeves long pants prevents standing or near collecting water which act as mosquito breeding grounds applying insect repellent and avoiding Peak mosquito hours from dusk until dawn so that is the warning that is coming out now again this is not covid-19 this is not the moox this is another one yet coming out that they are warning about and this is being transmitted through mosquito bites and again I have this Linked In the description this article I'm now starting to see several articles coming out on this so so apparently this was released yesterday this information now it's starting to come out across various news media outlets and this coming out from the CDC on Eastern equin en sephtis virus uh this is linked in the description for you it says that about approximately 30% of the people with Eastern equan incilius they will not survive many of the survivors have ongoing neurological problems the symptoms of these Eastern equestrian en sephtis can include fever headache vomiting diarrhea seizures Behavior changes drowsiness there are no vaccines to prevent this there are no medicines to treat this uh so they're saying this is essentially an incurable uh incurable disease mosquito born infectious disease that is growing in the United States and the critical areas now are several cities in Massachusetts so let me know your thoughts about this do you find this concerning or do you think that no um this is not something that you're super worried about at this time let me know your thoughts if you think yes this is very concerning and also that they're beginning to impose these lockdowns put a three if you think no not really worried about it and you don't think there's going to be lockdowns or any issues with this put a four I'd be curious to see what people's thoughts are on this um but yeah now we're starting to hear that there are several towns in the area spreading the lockdowns that they are imposing but they are voluntary lockdowns they are not saying you must stay inside and I know that this is a very sensitive topic for a lot of people after what we went through with the lockdowns that took place around the world with covid-19 so let me know your thoughts there is no vaccine for this there is no cure there is no medications is the answer going to be lockdowns do you think that this is going to become a more severe issue right now uh with everything going on let me know your thoughts I see somebody saying Jesus Loves You operation warp speed says Aaron Bobby 08 says what are the locations all right so Bobby and for those of you hopping on a little bit late uh it is in Massachusetts there are several Towns now now initially we had heard that there was one city now we're hearing it's across uh at least four I think they said maybe seven now and there are nine that are in the uh warning areas moderate warning and there are several in critical Massachusetts Town approves voluntary lockdowns after dark as fears of incurable mosquito born infections now are growing it says residents in Massachusetts towns are being urged not to leave their homes after dark due to the spread of the deadly mosquito born virus the Board of Health in Oxford a city of 13,300 people uh about 50 miles Southwest of Boston has set an outdoor curfew in hopes that it will reduce the chances of people being bitten by mosquitoes which carry the eastern equin and sephtis or triple it comes after a resident was the first human to contract the rare and untreatable illness known as Triple E domestically in nearly four years so they're saying this is the first one that they've seen in several years and the concern is about this spreading because Triple E causes a fever and brain swelling and it can lead to seizures Comas and onethird of the people that are infected with Triple E they will lose their life uh and those who recover they often are left with lifelong physical and mental difficulties and they said the last three cases they've had all of them have suffered from neurological issues uh after Contracting this particular disease so it is a very serious disease uh that is spread by the mosquitoes so um yeah let me know your thoughts in the comments down below so that is currently what's going on for those that are asking so they are imposing a vol AR so it's not mandatory a dusk curfew which is 8:00 p.m. in Massachusetts they are saying please stay inside do not go out do not risk getting bitten by mosquitoes they're saying it is not a rule but the town officials are hoping that PE this will push people inside before Peak mosquito hours reducing the risk of exposure so uh we will see but like I read the town pushing back saying uh they're not having any of it they said that they are trying to come together and have their voices heard that they disagree and they feel like they should not impose this upon the people there but the public health director uh Reich stet uh he told people that were there in Oxford he said we don't want to see another human case of Triple E this year one is already too many even if you do survive usually there will be severe Health impacts neurological impacts that will mess up the rest of your life so he's saying please stay inside uh and town officials clarified on Facebook that this evening the Board of Health met for the first time to be updated by the director of the Public Health Service in the town of Oxford along with three bordering communities were being placed on critical risk for Triple E or the Eastern equestrian intis the memorandum clearly states that all private Town leagues that can continue to opt to play beyond the dph recommendations and those jointly adopted by all four towns that are are in critical status no one is Banning Fields they said uh for the use of private leagues and we have never stated such but right now there are critical levels that are being raised in various cities around the area and also they're saying moderate levels of risk are also being raised as well so again this is in Massachusetts we're going to be seeing what unfolds with this we've also got covid we've got empo now that is a public health emergency that has left Africa it was in the continent of Africa it is now in Europe it is now in Asia as well so I will make sure that I keep you guys up to date on everything so you know exactly what is taking place as they're saying uh they are imposing voluntary lockdowns um and like I said these articles Linked In the description below the reference to the CDC on Triple E is linked in the description below and do me a favor hit that like button if you appreciate the updates helps spread this out further so that way more people can get the latest information hit subscribe to stay up to date I'll keep you up to speed on everything so you know exactly what is taking place uh and that is the latest you guys thank you so much for joining me I will catch you in the next one take care God bless this is Steve
