IP Autograph Recap PNC Park Pirates vs Reds Andrew McCutchen Cool But Sad Hunter Stratton Game Ball

Hey There YouTube It's math blore welcome to this in-person autograph recap video when I went to PNC Park on Saturday August 24th 2024 this was also the Pirates Hall of Fame game where they inducted Manny sangen Barry Bonds and Jim Leland into the Pittsburgh Pirates Hall of Fame this is the third year of the Pirates Hall of Fame and it was wonderful so as a season ticket holder I got in extra extra early on this game and they were not doing batting practice and that worked in my favor because I ended up getting autographs from 12 people including my man crush and what turned out to be something that makes me feel really bad and may become even more meaningful now um we shall see included some alumni so there are 12 players 21 autographs total it was a great day um I do chase at hotels I just go to the ballpark and try to do what I can there and you know I try to let the kids go first and a number of cases which actually got me a little bit but that's all right the right thing to do so first up oh I might actually mess up his name H Domingo Herman was signing uh a lot of controversy with him he just came up with the Pirates just came on with the Pirates did not have any cards for him but these cards work great and Jared Jones he's close and I left my tops Now card of him couldn't believe it what a mistake that was but he signed that in a great spot you know now we got another guy from the bullpen Jaylen beaks I asked if he could sign and he did there were four little kids and then there was two adults trying to get autographs and those kids were just too shy to say their you know holler for their name so me and the other adult kindly asked them to come over and then I'm going in the order with which I got these autographs so now it really really picked up we got Andrew McCutchen we got my man crush this is an MLB authentic K game ball there going to be five of them in this video take a whole bunch of baseballs with me I put them in little sandwich bags and which I Sharpie the name on the sandwich bag so I can find it pretty quickly but this one was in my pocket if I need to find cutch in a hurry I'm going to grab him and he signed for the six of us and plus maybe about 10 more people that came rushing over to that area when they saw he was signing this was an MLB K game ball this was a popup when he was a member the Phillies when they came and played the Pirates back in uh July 30th 2021 it was a popup off of will Crow to Rolo Castro and um very cool to get him to sign it game against the Pirates when he was a member of the Phillies next up um he was going to walk on by but I wanted to get Ben heler he's been he's had a rough stint with the Pirates I've already got him once earlier in this season when I tried on that so we got him on here this was only the fourth time I've gone to the ballpark with the intent of getting autographs and the same thing happened with Kyle where you know I've gotten him on the other card well let's get him on this one then I got David Bednar former Allstar closer actually two-time Allstar he is the closer for the Pirates he's had a little bit of a rough patch here too unfortunately and um reason why I was able to get so many of these guys despite no batting practice well the pitchers still go out and warm up you know they toss around Ed McCutchen was out there stretching his legs as he's recovering from an injury and there was a pitcher by the name of Hunter Stratton who when he was coming out to go walk out onto the field and warm up and whatnot I asked if he could sign when he came back he said he would and sure enough he did there are two game balls I have from his debut game now he didn't throw these baseballs but they're from his debut game so when he came over um trying to do something with that light in the background you normally you don't put autographs in the light but well they're not going to be in the light for very long so I asked him do you have any baseballs from your debut game he says he does I said okay I have two of them then I was going to give you one but if you're good you're good he says he's good um and I had on an index card I wrote MLB debut 9523 and I asked him do you remember your debut he said it was all blur I I was I do not remember hardly any of it that was so cool um so he signed the baseball and he add the inscription this was from the top of the first inning this was a top of the first inning and this one you they're all be authenticated this one was from the top of the seventh inning so he didn't actually pitch these baseballs but they were from his debut game and that was really nice of him to do the inscriptions on both of those for me um you know being a reliever not a closer not a setup person they're probably going to be extra nice to the fans and he totally was and what I feel so bad about with this game I mean I was pumped to get my man crush back there Andrew McCutchen I behaved I did not call my man crush to his face I did that four times ever and on the fourth one he looked looked at me real interesting so I'm like I better not say that anymore but uh Hunter Stratton went into this game on August 24th and there was a pass ball guy Cincinnati Red player from third base ran home and there there was a throw went home from the catcher Joey BART to Hunter Stratton and he didn't catch it went off of his glove back to the wall the back stop he went back to it cuz there's another Runner that's going to try to come home and score now and Hunter Stratton went down to kind of like do a slide pick it up and throw it home and he slid into the the brick wall back there and he hurt himself um it's bad Hunter Stratton came back pitching looked like he might be done made a big effort to do so and now he has a huge Serious injury oh no that's sad so I wanted to go out on Federal Street cuz there was two alumni signing out there that don't sign often uh the one I've never seen there in the last 10 years and on the way I could see in a distance though on the field Mitch Keller was signing I'm like I have a game ball for Mitch Keller so I went you know he was signing for a couple people here a couple people there you know there weren't many people there cuz it was still really early before the general public could would be coming in and I went over and stood there with a you know a kid called for him I didn't have to call for him that was nice he said signed for the kid and began to grab his stuff I'm like oh that's okay he looked up and said oh I didn't realize you were wi an autograph I said that's okay I thought maybe you were in a hurry and he signed my baseball this is an MLB authentic K game ball this was a strikeout of the Braves Eddie Rosario back in the 20123 season so that was cool I got another game ball signed so I went out on Federal Street where former pirate RJ Reynolds was signing got four trading cards normally when there's alumni there's a specific um person who works for the Pirates Who usually is there and he limits it to two autographs a person which I respect but you never know and this was a case of you never know and he was obviously that person was working with the uh folks who were involved with the Hall of Fame induction the players and whatnot so it was somebody different to other people and they didn't really seem to mind and they didn't mind sign then we got John Keli never met him this was a great situation so he signed his rookie card the 87 tops traded along with some 88s and a minor league card when I went up to him he had one of these 4x6 cards ready to go for me and after he signed those four he said he let me sign one of these for you I wasn't going to stop them I mean the line was moving quick they were signing rather quickly so that was cool and then inside the park at the broadcast Booth I brought a specific baseball that I would wanted to get signed now this is not the person that signed it this is actually someone who signed it for me in the past his name is Cole Tucker he was a former pirate um this is an MLB authenticated game ball this is now a dual signed one one where he wrote thanks Steven because on this baseball it was pitched by the Cardinals Dakota Hudson and it he walked Cole Tucker with this baseball Ball Four next batter it's all authenticated under this was Steven bral the pitcher who then hit into a double play got Cole out at second 543 double play got Cole out at second and got brought out at first So Co Tucker I asked if he could write thanks Steven that was years ago well now we got sorry Cole Steven bral Steven bral is so cool he's a good guy he's funny he's very knowledgeable the game obviously and yeah I enjoyed him as a pitcher he took great pride in his at bats remember this this baseball's from 2019 folks um heck they used him as a pinch Runner a pinch hitter him and Joe Musgrove they were baseball players they weren't just pitch they were not just pictures uh they got to do a lot so thanks Sten sorry Cole that's so cool oh my gosh what a great day I mean I did miss out a little bit I was letting the kids go and I missed a pirate reliever that I had a special item for but I know I can get him later he has a p he has a public signing coming up I'll just pay up for him and I was next in line for Paul SK he got the uh roughly eight kids that were there at that time and kind of looked up saw me saw the other guy and moved on it was time for him to go I'll try to again him later great day oh my gosh 12 12 people 12 players
