Montana football Week 1 press conference with coach Bobby Hauck, CB Trevin Gradney, RT Brandon Casey

Welcome everybody. Week o Uh Grizzly Football got, uh, team captains, Brando Gradney with us. Um, as a hand, I'll pass the mic a home could hear. Uh, but with, uh, your, your firs team just wrapped up fall on camp and, um, Missouri for the season opener soo we'll try to get everybod sure we'll be able to han we're, uh, we're meeting Center this week, so we h today. So we'll try to ge happen. Um It's the first excited to be in game wee coach and our staff, we'r that we won't be ready to level. That's just the wa games. We try to be prepa prepare right up till kic that done. Uh, with that we've had good work with I like the older players and a real leadership rol Saturday, we'll get to fi where that sits. Uh, Miss football team. I think th They uh have many returni always think that veteran good football teams. So t Uh, so I, I know that, uh major challenge this week at the end of October we' in the Missouri Valley. I got a lot of returning pl they're gonna have a good got our hands full Saturd what they've changed or a know what we've seen and, excited to play this week just your biggest takeawa what kind of stood out, y of wrapped up last week a week. We had the, we had a lot of positions, uh, t the spring. Uh, thought i I thought, uh, we held up and, uh, you know, I, I j attention detail and the competitiveness, all that You've mentioned, you exp both to play, would you l they did this camp? We ki the two of them as they p Well, like any position, splitting time and sharin reps, you know, one guy's day than the other one on uh, you know, I thought, those guys performed well gonna plan both. Um, we'l staff will sit down midwe discussion on, on what th Trevor. A lot of new guys faces transfers, whatnot. about the competition on and just kind of get some uh, this, this camp? Yeah had a lot of competition, positions, um, including I think we, we all respon trying to build a tough f that's it. So it's, it wa just with the offensive l them make strides during you feeling about that gr I'll just be brief and sa got nine or 10 guys we fe to compete at a division uh I thought that they wo both in the off season an spring and fall practices watch them play Saturday. have to add to that. Uh Y over the past few weeks w that there's a lot of guy guys who have come a long looking for an opportunit how is the cohesion among as you brought in a coupl transfers but I mean, the program, you fit right in Brandon just to be, you k Uh How cool is that for y that, what does that mean a huge honor. Um There's to be selected in fall ca going against your own gu again. Uh How excited are against somebody else? Ye think everyone's excited. anyone else other than ou and we're all ready. And when you have a, a physic much do you think that pr one? When, and, and a lot you know, maybe don't go guys go. Well, I mean, fo game. I think you have to way and, uh, I think it s the first game. Uh, yeah, really much more to say a uh, I think we do those, around here. Um, we alway I haven't been in a camp So, yeah, it's just build team, traveled his first the lights blackout there the fans, you know, are g just like, what's the exc been a while since you've out of the tunnel. So the uh, on the horizon. How e Um I mean, playing here i Um, everybody in the lock everybody wants to get on I can't wait for Saturday gotta take place first, s coach offensively, uh, wh what they do or, or perso out to, well, it's always It's hard to know personn so many people flip flopp on rosters. I mean, peopl own team, let alone the o always difficult. Um, in you know, the, the guy th has played a lot, he star the season. Uh, they're a offense, I think, uh, I t starters, uh, the running good, uh, good talent rec like I alluded to earlier of veteran players coming a lot of football, so the good football team defens game one, I imagine it's, in-game adjustments than I don't know. Does, does, adjustments in the, in th year? And what's that lik uh, the potentially can b predict. Um, you know, we done in the past offense, know, it's, it's going to here. They've got a lot o on the personnel a little have a first year head co about him specifically? W a first year head coach. no second, uh, my father, do you know anything abou And, uh, what he brings t we know what they did las was the head coach there know, that, that's what w we'd like to share some p real energetic about doin we're making our best gue earlier, I think they're football team. I think th that reflects the head co moving up to the F BS. Do on, on this season at all I guess just in general, program, you know, I don' I don't know, I don't kno It doesn't, I mean, I don think they're allowed to So, yeah, that has an eff What do you think of this know you probably looked just your first home game Um, yeah, we haven't seen just started brushing up Um, but yeah, I think eve team is excited. Um, we g of dudes, uh, just ready be, it'll be good. Good o How have you seen the off uh, throughout this off s going with a, a new posit think, uh, I think everyo a step back this spring r language so to speak, tha in here with and from wha last couple of weeks in c are really competing, um, the ball really well and, for an opportunity. Uh, c if you seen the new kicko how they've kind of chang on that and if you think adopt something like that it is, I haven't seen it because I think Brandon w think you were asked earl be voted a team captain. to you?
