Apple today announced plans to hold its annual iPhone Centric event on Monday this year usually in years past we've had a Tuesday maybe even a Wednesday but Apple went with Monday September 9th at the Apple Park campus in Cupertino California and that will all start at 10:00 a.m. Pacific 1 p.m. eastern time now this year's event we will see apple unveil the iPhone 16 lineup new Apple watch models and the airpods 4 plus we'll get official launch dates for iOS 18 Mac OS Sequoia and Apple's other software updates now the event invite And the tagline is it's glow time and so if we want to do the speculation the obvious thing here to me would be Siri and apple intelligence and so maybe we'll see some new iPhone 16 specific Apple intelligence features at this event alongside of course the new hardware and the changes to the lineup itself or maybe we'll just see a rehash of the ones that are going to be coming here soon that we didn't already get in the beta all four of the new iPhones are expected to have the customizable action button and a new capture button for taking photos that will have built-in gestures such as swipe for zooming in and out or a soft press for autofocus apple is also adding an a18 chip to all models so the entire iPhone 16 lineup will be capable of supporting the Apple intelligence features that are coming in iOS 18 no other major new features are expected for the standard iPhone 16 models but the pro lineup will get an increase in display size going going from 6.1 to 6.7 in and then 6.3 to 6.9 in respectively for the pro and the pro Max both models will also include the 5x telephoto Zoom option that was exclusive to the pro Max last year and that Zoom distance might actually increase potentially on the pro Max or maybe both uh on that telephoto lens and also some improvements to the ultrawide lens is expected as well now for the Apple watch the standard series 10 is expected to feature a thinner design with a larger display but the change won't be as radical as we once thought it would be apple also plans to refresh the Apple watch SE and the Apple watch Ultra and we could see new health features such as sleep apnea detection and blood pressure monitoring but it's not entirely clear if Apple will have those ready in time for this year's launch there could also be a few surprise devices we've been hearing a lot of things about airpods potentially being at this event with the new airpods 4 coming in two variants a standard version just an update to the three and then one withc and transparency and now ANC is typically a feature reserved for the airpods pros but now this would give users a different fit and style like the ones of the airpods 3 now it would be updated and you'd be able to have that in a non-pro version Apple plans to stream the fall event on its website YouTube or through the Apple TV app but for those who are unable to watch Mac rers will be providing live event coverage on macro.com and of course the Mac roomers live Twitter account I would love to hear from you in the comments down below what do you think also be sure to follow along on this channel subscribe and all that so you don't miss our coverage and uh yeah would love to hear from you about everything in the comments down below this some Dam with Mac Rumors thanks so much for watching and I look forward to seeing you around in the next video
