well in five sets Nebraska takes the instate rivalry Jordan Larson alongside with me this one did not come without a battle though let's go back to that third set 3331 what went through your mind just during that set and when kraton kind of tied things up there in the fourth two yeah I mean Katon is a great team and huge respect to them I think they came out and uh obviously they could have had a different response after being down 02 but um they came out came at us hard and just really proud of our girls we kind of got stuck in a rotation with Laney in the front row but I thought we did a good job adjusting and just still fighting for each point so really proud of our team and obviously how we finished was awesome yeah and that forth set and coming out of it and just getting to talk with the girls what was said in that huddle just to reset yeah I mean I think sometimes we get a little far ahead of ourselves you know I think kraton made a few adjustments and I think we did a better job of blocking defense uh going into the fifth and I think we served tough as well so it made their offense just a little bit simpler to to defend well it was a top 10 matchup for the first time in history between both these programs how special is that just to see the level of volleyball across the state yeah it gives me chills just to think about just the volleyball in the state and uh what Kirsten's done there and uh just cool really cool to see the growth um from them and and from us as well and really cool that we could be in our hometown and and have the whole whole state watching I'm sure well I know everyone was watching one player specifically Andy Jackson she was on absolute fire tonight what makes her such a special player man she just unbelievably obviously talented but just you can see her work ethic like everything that she does is 110% not that all of our players are like that but you can just truly see it uh on her and just really proud of her for continuing to learn and adjust and uh we're putting a lot on her so it's really cool to see her Embrace that as well last week this team was swept by SMU on the road to see this response out of your team to go three and0 since then what does that mean yeah it's huge SMU again big credit to SMU is a tough environment to play there uh really proud of our response uh this is going to be a long season we have a lot of tough opponents is coming and so teaching them how to you know one match one play at a time it's hard you know and just getting them to buy into the process and enjoying each other as well and having fun while doing doing it speaking of fun you know about this rivalry of course being from Nebraska and playing it yourself how electric was that atmosphere out there and how much fun is it to be on that Court yeah it's amazing and uh I'm still not settled down I mean I can only imagine how they're feeling so hopefully they can get some sleep tonight and uh but just I hope the crowd had a fun time uh it was fun to watch as a coach and fun to coach as well and just excited for our players lastly what was the message post game to this team uh just we showed a lot of grit we we could have shut down easily after that four set and so I think uh how we responded in the fifth was huge and uh just every win um in our preseason is huge and just even more M momentum going into the Big 10 uh big 10's going to be tough this year as always but um just really excited to get going well congrats on the win thanks for the time thank you so much
