This Eagles Player Could Be In HUGE Trouble As Preseason Concludes...

Eagle Nation the pre-season has finally concluded the final and third game just got done a few minutes ago I am so happy and thrilled to be done with the pre-season there are some interesting takeaways from today's game nothing to over the edge we'll talk about that but I am excited because in 13 days the Philadelphia Eagles will be taking on the Packers in Brazil for week number one and I think today we saw a final couple decision that need to be made so we'll get into it all the Eagles get crushed by the Minnesota Vikings if you watch this game today give yourself a pat on the back because on a Saturday afternoon you want to talk about torture you want to talk about guys missing wide open throws missing wideopen catches it feels like nobody could do anything fumbles it it was brutal I mean you finally get an interception you get a penalty that takes that away it was absolutely terrible it it it was garbage like if you watch this game shout out to you but it is the preseason right nobody cares about the preseason I don't know what's worse the preseason or the damn Pro Bowl at this point but I am so excited to see the actual starters to see the actual guys who will get the snaps on this team to go out there in less than two weeks and play the Green Bay Packers the feature of today was this Shady McCoy is being inducted into the Eagles Hall of Fame on November 3rd so a couple cool milestones for this season a couple cool events coming up and shady is the latest Jeffrey Lorry announced it today during the game so shout out to leson McCoy one of my favorite Eagles of all time welld deserved wish he could have gotten the ring here in Philadelphia but unfortunately we know what happened now Elliot Shore Parks put this out today uh before this game he said five players that are probably not on the 53 but are the closest to getting a roster spot heading into this game so this is before the game that today he said EJ Jenkins annni Smith Brett Toth Orin Burks and Tristan McCollum were his five to keep your eyes on by the time the third fourth quarter came around to this game I could not watch it anymore I'm like flicking back and forth I'm trying to stay focused it was awful like I said the Eagles couldn't even put together a drive their defense was getting shredded they couldn't make tackles I mean they were just blowing coverages left and right and they got crushed 26 to3 but I will say a couple players did Stand Down by the way I believe it's Tuesday when the rosters need to be finalized so we'll get some Final Cuts here the next couple of days and we will have it covered for you and we'll break it all down I mean we pretty much know for the most part who's going to make this team but I would say there's probably about two three four maybe five slots that are up in the air and one guy who I think earned his spot today for sure is Tristan McCollum if there was one bright spot in this game it was Tristan mccum I think had nine tackles he was all over the field had a couple big hard hits he was the one guy that popped off the screen on defense Tristan mcallum should make the roster he should get a spot Anthony deonis says I personally think Tristan McCollum should be a locked to make the roster but I'm not sure the Eagles feel the same way and I probably do lean towards agreeing here there are going to be some guys who we think should make it that will end up on practice squad maybe can get elevated in the first five six seven weeks depending on what happens but Trista McCollum has really you know performed well not only in the preseason games but in training camp as well he's been a name that has popped up numerous times I love his energy I love the way he goes out there and attacks the game he was great today so shout out to Tristan mccm I think he should make it now one guy on the other end who I thinks his stock has completely depleted um he will make the roster but he is in trouble right now okay Nolan Smith does not look like a former first round pick he doesn't look like a former third round pick Nolan Smith is struggling ladies and gentlemen and he was one of the only guys out there playing a lot of snaps today which already shows you that they don't have as much confidence in him now Shane half here says that jayx hunt should be taking Snaps from Nolan Smith this season Smith is not even threatening backup guards who are playing tackle a pass rusher and he cannot drop into coverage I'm not sure what he really brings to the table it's unfortunate because when the Eagles drafted him he had a lot of hype and you know being one of those Georgia Bulldogs coming out with Jaylen Carter that was an absolute steal as we thought it was by howy Roseman I'm not saying Smith can't ever get there but when I'm watching him he's obviously a bit undersized he doesn't look to be too strong I know they said he put on weight but he's still getting beat by some guys he can't really get around the edge that quick and like Shane says here he's not that good at dropping into coverage we see that the Eagles don't have a lot of confidence him I just hope he doesn't end up fizzling out and being like a nothing I hope he's not a negative or just a non-factor for the next four or five years if he'll even be here I'm surprised that he hasn't taken a bit more of a step meanwhile every time we've seen jayx hunt right there's not a lot on this guy but when we have seen him he looks like an athletic freak he looks like he could potentially step in week one and make a few plays so I think jayx hunt has won that job I think Nolan Smith has unfortunately dropped and we'll see if he can get better as we go but uh just a really another subpar performance today for Nolan Smith now Cooper de actually got to make his debut today and he had a very rough start uh he got beat on one play and then on the first series for the backups on defense as ESP says there was a penalty on Cooper deine there was a ball that was just floated up and it was an easy interception it was taken back I think for about maybe like 15 20 yards and then Cooper deine ends up getting the flag so it negated that interception then the Vikings went right down and scored and that was just a ripple effect for the rest of the day Josh job got beat in coverage on the touchdown so that kuber jeene penalty was very costly I'm not going to get on him because he just came back right he's you know multiple steps behind the other guys he needs more reps he needs to get into his rhythm and that injury definitely has set him back we know he's not going to be a day one starter at this point but as Thomas says here good thing is that kuer deene is getting playing time at least he's back on the field he looks Rusty getting off block on routes he's just got to get back into his flow so I'm not as worried about kuer dein and I think as he gets more playing time and gets more practice reps things like that he will improve but kuber deine looked a bit rough I will say he did play a lot better I didn't think they were going to bring him back in they did in the second half and he actually made a couple really nice plays one tackle for loss blew it up in the back field and I like kuer deene I think he has a lot of promise and he just needs to get back from that injury and heal 100% other than that there's not really much about this game Kenny pigot looked awful uh Tanner mcke looked awful I mean we can look at the stats Tristan McCollum was really the guy that stood out Orin Burks as well Ben van suan I think maybe one or two of those guys will end up making the roster but you know Tanner mcke got hit he fumbled I I was expecting mcke to come out here and play a lot better than he did 133 for 21 Kenny picket is going to be quarterback too which I don't agree with I think it should be mcke and and then Will Greer got in at the end but other than that we didn't see a lot I think it was Joseph NADA who dropped the ball wide open literally went right through his hands and got picked in the end zone it was just sloppy man so the Eagles just unfortunately lay down here in their last preseason game they go two- one but now we can clear all the stats we are on to the Real Deal game one week one in 13 days and we'll find out over the next couple of days who makes
