strategize around you can pay up for your tight ends you can get a middle round tight end you can not draft a tight end or pick one with one of your last picks and just stream from the waiver wire and get you tight end one production whatever works for you and there's a lot of people who operate to tight endend position in different ways today we're going to look at dton con k he's in a very he might be back week one Turf toes are weird so you're just going to have to monitor it pay attention to what's going on with Curtis Samuel he's going to be getting a lot of those short area targets and that could impact Dalton con k cuz those might get funnel to him Dalton con k was not heavily recruited coming out of high school and he had to play at a small school before going to Utah but once we got to Utah we got some Seasons under our belt and we went off in 2022 and we were getting targeted we were getting yards after the catch 2.41 yards per route ran 70 receptions that is a lot for a college tight end out of all the tight ends in college football that year he was up there in routes second most targeted tight end in college football as well he was getting work in the passing game below me that chart look at the top four targeted tit end Michael Mayer dton Cade Sam leaport Brock balers the Raiders have two of them but highly regarded pass catching weapons same leap Porto went off last year Dalton canade had some production as well we came into the draft as a first round pick back into the first round to the Buffalo Bills with good athleticism decent size and we were productive as rookie we were once Dawson Knox went out we were able to solidify ourselves as a productive tight end for fantasy football with multiple tight end one weeks but productive tight end one weeks as that because sometimes you can be a tight end one and not score 10 fantasy points and usually that happens more often than not but 15 17 18 16 12 15 we're able to get up there in fancy scoring and Stefon Diggs is gone gay DAV is gone well over 200 targets out of this offense the ball's got to go somewhere dalon can Kade solidified as a pass catcher with 84 targets last year getting workload as a rookie any other year when a rookie tight end starting to get this much workload people can't stop talking about it Dalton can Kade though people are talking about it but they're not going to ham about it and when you look at this offense these wide receivers it's very Ed uous Keon Coleman a very ambiguous wide receiver with a lot of talent you got C Samuel with the turf toe you got some interesting wide receiver prospects here khil Shakur is a guy that needs to be on your radar for a stash deep play waiver wire get however your draft shakes out but Dalton g k going in the fifth round of Underdog drafts holding steady because the market values him he's up there with Mark Andrews and cow pits and George KD so the thing about this do you want to chase the upside do you want to chase the situation that may not pan out it may not pan out but the odds are saying it's in his favor or do you want to go with a name a player that you feel certain with that's done it in the past Kyle pittz George KD or you want to Pivot to one of the other wide receivers we got Xavier worthy we got Terry mclen we got some running backs here Josh Jacobs Dave Montgomery we got a lot of value here on the board what do you want to do you can also pay down a little bit more get like an Evan Ingram the thing about the tight end position you got to strategize it you got to go with the best value you can or if you do not want to sweat things out week to week pay up for your tit end get your guy but there's opportunity cost with that with other players on the board my suggestion here just looking at the board and it's common sense it's not fun it's not sexy but if you feel icky at why you're receiver and running back you know feel like you need to get an early quarterback then you can get your tight end and it could be your guy it could be your guy and that's it that's it if you feel icky at wide receiver and running back it's time to go tight end it's time if you feel icky you're like man I hate these wide receivers here I hate these running backs here time to look at that tight end part of your cheat sheet that's it that's it it could be here it could be here for you it could be later it could be earlier that's it that's the answer for tight end for you round five on multi-site ADP per four for four multi-site meaning averaged out ADP from ESPN NFL Yahoo other bigger sites so standard ADP not just beste ball ADP similar rankings and value for him when it comes to drafting same scenario though you feel ick at wide receiver running back just get your guy get your guy tight end that's when you should really do that that's when you're maching out the value if you don't like the wide receivers you don't like the running backs time to go tight end time time to look at it see what's over there on that cheat sheet and if you don't like that I'd probably roll running back I'd probably roll running back but again you got a strategize around tight end and if you end up not getting a tight end till like round 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 guess what you still got the waiver wire you can stream the matchups whatever happens happens you can sweat it out week to week playing the matchups looking at the a good situation but you don't need him because you can go other positions at this route it's still very expensive there's a lot of opportunity costs you got to strategize around the tight end position you got to do what's best for you and what you like we've been studying we do player list for a reason we cover these players every day and do these deep Dives for a reason he does have potential to break out he does have that upside he's in a good situation but there's opportunity cost it's really what you want to do do you need him or do you not you don't absolutely need him but if you want to tight end with some upside this is probably one of the ones you want to go with there's some other ones as you scale back down the draft in ADP that you can go with as well but the breakout could be coming this year we could be seeing that especially when you look at the offense you look at the volume you look at what the bills do there's a lot of
