RG three. in between fantasy football podcast all right all right all right this is the in between fantasy football podcast your place for both a refreshing and feel good take on fantasy football and nfl gambling And despite popular opinion, folks, the world does keep on spinning here after a wild week one of the fantasy football season. Tonight, we are absolutely loaded on the program. We got the panic meter in the scope. Our discount waivers wire early segment. And then we also have would you rather from the forum. So much more. I'm your host, Seth Bullcock. Good to see y'all. And just like a microcosm of how drunk week one truly was. I went from winning my main league last year to being the lowest scorer in week one. So the pain has fell all the way around. And today I am joined by a couple internet football talkers. Texas' top cornerback expert, a light ranching son of a bitch, Eric. Raise him up, Romoff. How we doing, Eric? Man, I'm doing okay. I am less than twenty four hours removed from returning from Las Vegas. So I'm still wearing some bad decisions that I made out in the desert. But we out here, we got to watch the entire slate of games and it was it was pretty wild. A couple of things went the way we thought it would. A lot of things went a little bit sideways. And that's the beauty of week one. We get to kind of parse this together, figure out what signal, figure out what's noise and move on to the next week. Absolutely, man. Did you have any hangover-type moments? Anyone get lost? You lose anyone? Find a Leslie Chow out there in Vegas or anything like that? No, nothing too crazy, right? Not enough sleep, way too much alcohol, a lot of poker, a lot of gambling, right? We're out there on a mission. Plus or minus on the weekend? I brought back money that I thought I was going to lose, and that's a plus in my book. That's a win. There we go. I appreciate it. We're also joined by a guy who doubts Glenn Powell, doubts Drake London, but there's no doubt about it. He's Steve Lawson. How are we doing, Steve? I'm great, man. And you know what? My doubt has been so founded in Drake London, like vindication all the way. I am riding this high right now. I love it, man. Week one, victory laughs. Doesn't get any better than that. Also want to shout out the Wizard of Oz of this particular program, producer, vibes guy, Kyle Jim Scott. Big week out there in the Berg for you. Kyle, the Lurs, they get it done. Did he celebrate with maybe a Rudy sub? Maybe one of those pierogi wieners down at PNC? Hell yeah. Well, not exactly, but we're always eating rogues out here down in the Berg. Always eating rogues after a Lurs win. Hey, this is Lurs ease, man. You got to get with it. Here's Steve here on the program. A couple of Pennsylvania boys getting down here. Also, a couple of IBT family members getting down with us in the chat as they do each and every Tuesday night, nine thirty five. p.m eastern time I want to shout out some of those folks as well we got albert hanging out with us already what's up albert good to see you buddy I hope you had a better week one than maybe the panel did here um we also at this time we do have our pga swing season content popping off nascar still going as well we got about nine races left to make you guys some more money over there our goal is to hit thirteen thousand or thirteen hundred thirteen thousand would be a crazy number but you should Thirteen hundred subscribers on the channel by the end of September. Let us know if you're out here in the Pennsylvania sticks like Kyle and myself. If you've been to Rudy subs, if you've had that PNC pierogi wiener or not. Or let us know if you're coming at us from down where Eric's coming from us in Texas, Steve's up in Boston or anywhere in between. We got Tyler hanging out with us as well. What's up, IBT? Good to see you, Tyler. I know Tyler's a Tennessee man himself. But guys, we are absolutely loaded. So let's go ahead and jump right into it with our panic meter segment of Temperature Check. Temperature Check: Fantasy Football Panic Meter temperature check. That's really spicy. Holy. How much are we panicking on these players? We don't want to overreact, but we certainly don't want to underreact either. These are the times in the seasons. Uh, people are a little weary about their team. People might've had an underperforming team. You can maybe get something on a discount here. So we're going to go through a list of players and I'm going to ask the gentleman to give me a ranking here on on how much they're panicking on these players. A one is no concern. You're still playing them. Six, moving out of our starting lineup, probably heading to the pine for a little bit. Eight, trying to move on when the price increases. And ten, I'm out now. I want pennies on the dollar. What can I get for them now? And just something to keep in mind. I thought some wild stats I saw from over the weekend, just thirty five passing TDs in week one. That is the lowest in quite some time. For reference, we did have a pretty low week one. one of twenty twenty three as well. Thirty seven passing touchdowns a year ago. But then in twenty twenty two fifty one the year before sixty one twenty twenty fifty two twenty nineteen sixty one. So abnormal week for us. And per Kevin Cole, where twenty twenty three ranked in week one NFL offenses versus the other first week since two thousand one EPA per play. dead last success rate, third to last. So Eric, all this to say, we got to react. We have to take some notes from this week one, but at the same time, it was a very much outlier week one. Yeah, definitely shaped up in a way that we haven't seen quite at this scale yet. Right. I think more than anything, it speaks to two things. The state of defense in, of defense broadly in the NFL is much improved from where it was a few years ago. Right. These, these units are getting more and more capable of, at slowing down opposing offenses and also I think we're we're really seeing the impacts of limited if not outright avoided pre-season involvement right a lot of these these units are going out there and and really having to shake off a lot of rust right so nothing that I think we should necessarily panic about overall right but uh you know definitely there there are enough uh enough uh spots on the uh on the on the plot there to at least kind of start trending or tracking some trends Yeah, absolutely. Let's jump right into it here, guys, with our first player to hit the panic meter on Joe Burrow, quarterback Cincinnati Bengals. Joe Burrow (QB, Cincinnati Bengals) Only eight point one fancy points for him in his debut here in twenty twenty four. No T. Higgins, though. A sick Jamar Chase as well. Looks like he might have had some runs. I don't really want to diagnose what's going on in there. And Jamar Chase's stomach, but didn't practice a whole lot this preseason as well. Twenty one for twenty nine for Joe Burrow. One hundred sixty four yards against New England. He has Kansas City, Washington and Carolina. So, Steve, things should get easier for Joe Burrow here down the stretch after he gets through Kansas City. But this is kind of what we've seen from Joe Burrow and the Bengals as a whole under Zach Taylor. The kind of slow starters, man. Yeah, they are a notoriously slow starting team. And I think it's a lot like because of what Eric said is they don't play the preseason. None of them do. And with T. Higgins being hurt, Jamar Chase in his contract dispute and then not wanting to play off of that and being sick, you have no continuity. You have nowhere to go. And I think we're seeing a lot of problems around the NFL with offenses especially because – of the state of quarterback play in general. I think we're seeing a lot of bad quarterbacks in the league right now. Joe Burrow is not one of them. But I think you don't want to panic about Joe Burrow. He'll be fine. As far as temperature check, my panic meter is a one. Okay, so no concerns still rolling him out there. Eric, we usually do see the best of Burrow against the Kansas City Chiefs. He has one of the few winning records against Patrick Mahomes in his career. Are you rolling him back out there this week? And where's he at on your panic meter? very very low right uh I think I think Steve hit the the main point Joe burrow is a notorious slow starter so this is nothing that we haven't seen before and nothing that we haven't seen before in route to him turning in QB one type efforts right yeah um the other thing to to keep in mind you know we we touched on the missing slash hobbled wide receiver core that is definitely a factor but also turnovers have a have a have a sneaky way of kind of tanking fantasy production right If that one fumble on the walk-in touchdown for Tanner Hudson was one that he was able to maintain, all of a sudden we're looking at closer to a fifteen-point fantasy day, right? And we're looking at a game that's maybe a bit more competitive, right? And before that, too, Mike Kosicki got in the end zone. They called that back, too. Exactly. Yeah. So, you know, there's definitely some things where, you know, the ball can kind of bounce in their favor or against it. I think that's more so what happened in week one and you know, in an environment like we would project they'll, they'll have coming up in Kansas city. I certainly think there are brighter days ahead for, for Joe. Cool. I hope you didn't use the Patriots in your survivor pool. I'm going to be honest or excuse me, the, the bangles in your survivor. I was like flirting with that money line for the Patriots all weekend, just cause I had a bad feeling about the bangles. I didn't take them in my survivor point up pivoting last second. Cause I was like, I just don't trust them. And it turns out that that's what came from wishing there. in the jungle. Let's move on to running back here. Chris McCaffrey rolled out Monday night, now confirmed that he does have Achilles tendonitis Christian McCaffrey (RB, San Francisco 49ers) after a re-aggravation on Friday. This is something that could linger listening to the Twitter doctors. They're smarter than us. We can't predict or project injury, really. None of us are medical experts, at least that I know of. Steve, actually, you are an RN, so I guess we have a little bit of backing there, but In general here, Steve, we have Minnesota, the Rams, New England, Arizona up next. No teams that I think San Francisco is like, hey, we need McCaffrey back to win those games. So where is your panic meter on Christian McCaffrey? Let's say you draft him one on one where he's going in fantasy football drafts this offseason. My panic meter is high. Tendonitis is never a good thing. When tendons get inflamed, they get weaker. That is a big problem. for someone like Christian McCaffrey to have where he's so explosive and is putting so much torque on that Achilles, you do not want to hear that. If I am a Christian McCaffrey fantasy manager, I am probably looking to move him. My panic meter is high, seven, eight, nine. Try to get him off your team. Try to get something else for him because at the best, in your best case scenario with a situation like this, you're probably looking at a reduced workload for Christian McCaffrey for the rest of the year until the playoffs come. And Eric was one of those things, man. I feel like we absolutely saw what could come if Jordan Mason is to get more work. Jordan Mason, really good week for him. We'll talk about him later in the waiver wire segment. But are you also seeing that maybe if McCaffrey comes back and San Francisco does have those Super Bowl aspirations that maybe it is a reduced workload this season and maybe he isn't worth that first round pick? I mean, to an extent, right? The, the, the, the confine that you're suggesting there though, is, is a, is a bit of a trap, right? Like the idea of, you know, we are now into the season and we need to, you know, rate this player on the scale of whether or not they were worth the draft pick where you, where you acquired them out is, is kind of out the window, right? It's, it's much more about the forward looking, forward looking perspectives for, for this player, obviously very much so in doubt for, for Christian McCaffrey, at least in the immediate term. So I, you know the uh the the panic meter clearly moving him out of the starting lineup for as long as he is out um I'm maybe not quite as panicked as steve but um I'm certainly shopping him around right like if if there's someone that's going to give me eighty five ninety cents on the dollar I would I would be I'd be looking to make that move fairly quickly right if you get to a point where you're just eating these, you know, these, these L's week over week. And, you know, he's, he's out of your lineup and the week before he comes back, someone sends you a lower ball offer. I'd probably just stand pat at that point. You've, you've already, you already absorbed the, the blow there. So, you know, if you can move him in the immediate term, the next week or two and get, reasonable enough value, I think it's fair to do it. Otherwise, when he comes back, for as much as we want to rave about J.P. Mason and how justified his flowers are this week, San Francisco kind of has a track record of whenever they've decided who the guy is going to be, they're going to run that dude into the ground. He's going to get a lot of opportunities. Whenever CMC is back, I would expect a pretty reasonable workload for him. Maybe Maybe he rotates an extra series or two off over the course of the game, but nothing that should really impact his fantasy outlook all that much. So move him now if you can. If not, then I think you just ride it out. So you're probably like a six or a seven right now. So maybe not as high as Steve, but still looking to potentially move him here if it can. And I'm with you like like. I remember holding on to Jonathan Taylor last year in a couple of leagues. And then when he finally got back, people were sending me offers like, well, I'm not trading him now. If I was going to trade him, I was going to do it at the beginning of the season. So great advice there from Eric and Steve. Zamir White (RB, Las Vegas Raiders) Let's move to Las Vegas, where Zemir White in his debut as the full-time Raiders starter in week one, he goes four point six fancy points, only saw about thirty eight percent of the snaps after being very ineffective early against the Chargers. Thirteen for forty four on the ground for the former Georgia Bulldog. Also two receptions for just two yards. And it's a tough slate coming up, Eric. Baltimore, at least this week. And then Carolina, Cleveland, Denver. So it kind of goes up, down, up, down for Zemir White. But Alexander Madison, he finally looked like he was somewhat of a football player this last week. So where are you at on Zemir White on the panic meter? yeah um about towards the center right and I I should I should preface this that um I'm usually not one to panic after week one almost in either direction right um I I think it's a small enough sample to where you can't make these sweeping changes but I I think there's enough here to at least catch your attention the the good news is that zamir white is a player that was being drafted at a point where you probably have alternative options that you can put into your starting lineup So if that's the case, if he's your running back three or a flex option, I think it's fair to move him out of your starting lineup, which by nature would put me at a six on this one to ten scale. But ultimately, what we're really talking about here is opportunity. You mentioned Alexander Madison out snapped him fairly substantially, you know, sixty forty split in favor of Madison. We also saw pretty definitively. that alexander madison through one week is going to be their preferred option whenever they are behind in a game well it's gonna be dylan loud man that was gonna be my guy loud new hampshire pride it might be right like we have to we have to keep in mind with all these rookies right like there's always for rookie running back there's always a huge learning curve specifically when it comes to getting up to speed with pass pro right so like they're not gonna they're not gonna throw that rookie in there right away maybe he takes some of that work but either way if it's madison if it's loud The Raiders have made it clear that in games where they're trailing, which should be a not infrequent occurrence, they're not going to look Zeus White's way. They're going to favor opportunity for Madison or eventually favor it for Laub. So definitely a lot of red flags up here. Hopefully you were able to have some alternates to slot into your starting lineup for Zeus White. Steve, I'm probably an eight here, honestly. And like I've been in Zamir White's camp. I remember using second, third round rookie picks on him a couple of years ago. I've always liked him coming out of Georgia. But this year in redraft, I just wasn't willing to pay up for a guy who I know isn't isn't a huge pass catcher. So I'm about an eight like I would move him in a couple of weeks, his first big game. But I'm saving on to him now in case he does have that that rumbling big touchdown scoring output here. Where are you at yourself? Well, this is a tough question because I wouldn't have started Samir White in general. A lot of teams on the internet are doing it right now, though. A lot of people have to. So I'll answer it for them. They should be at a very high number. Listen, you can't have watched that game and felt good about him. There's nothing to take away from that game that you feel good about. He was a pick that... You bought into hype is what happened. When you picked Zemir White, there was nothing in Las Vegas that indicated that he was going to be successful. Outside, you said, well, Josh Jacobs was. Well, Josh Jacobs is a lot more talented than Zemir White is, and that's just a fact of life. Some people are just more talented than other people. And this guy, he's not fast enough to break away. He's not good in the pass game, I guess. Listen, anyone who's losing work to Alexander Madison – That's a big panic. That's a big panic. If you're rostering him, if you can get something for him and still ride that hype, which you should be able to because it is week one going into week two, I'm moving him. I'm moving him. I'm moving him. I'm moving him. All right, we got some IBT family members in the chat. Brent saying, please tell me CMC is not dead. Oh, we just went on about CMC. Different panic meters here. He's not dead. You know, still brighter days ahead, Brent. But if you can get something for him now and get, like Eric said, eighty five, ninety cents on the dollar might not be something bad to consider. Appreciate you hanging out with us tonight as well, Brent. And we got Rachel hanging out saying I'm panicking on most dirt. I get it. The injury is scary, but still potentially some good volume for him to come back to. I wouldn't hit that panic button quite yet. We'll see. Eric is maybe. I'm panicked. Eric, Eric, ten on Mostert? I mean, pretty close to it, right? You know, with Miami, they've made it clear they're always going to use multiple backs, right? So you're talking about a split opportunity. You now have the injury for a relatively, in fact, very old by running back standards player. But moreover, I sent out a tweet heading into week one about this, and Really about my overall concern. We've talked about it on these airways with the substantial losses of the offensive line for the Miami Dolphins over the course of the offseason. I framed it in the light of opposing defenses being able to apply pressure to Tua. Seemed to do okay in that regard in week one. But what was clear... no running back across the entire league had ten or more carries with a lower yard before contact than Devon A. Chan. So they are getting these defenders in their grill almost immediately. So that is also going to impact Raheem Mostert if and when he's able to return to the field. And that was the Jaguars. That was the Jaguars, too. Not exactly a prolific pass rush, right? Exactly. League average is kind of that unit. Yeah. Brent saying Jalen Wright season. Yeah, we'll talk about him a little bit more as well later on in the program. Chase Brown (RB, Cincinnati Bengals) Moving on here. One of my favorite players comes out of Champaign, Illinois a couple of years ago. It's Chase Brown running back Cincinnati Bengals. Just five point three fancy points for him. Played just thirty three percent of the snaps here. Three targets to Zach Moss's for one red zone snap for the former workhorse out there in Illinois to Moss's three as well. So that's Are you panicking on Brown's teeth? Because I'll be honest, I got a lot of Chase Brown, a lot of Chase Brown exposure. However, at the same time, Zach Moss is someone who tends to get hurt as the season weighs on. So if I can just keep Chase Brown in my back pocket, I probably am. So I'd probably say a four or three for me. I'm holding tight with Moss. I'm not giving up yet. Okay. Yeah, I'm saying I stick him as like a six, right? Like, I mean, sure, you can ride that injury bug or whatever. Like, again, he's another player like Samir White that you shouldn't have been drafted. Like, even zero running back people, this should not have been your target. But if he was, and I'll give you the advice for this, is stash him, right? If someone offers you something decent for him, take it. No one's going to right now, probably, though. No one's going to. And honestly, no one should because the Cincinnati Bengals, look at what Joe Mixon did yesterday or this weekend for the Texans. He goes to a new situation and it absolutely goes bonkers. I don't know if he ever did that with the Bengals to get thirty touches, one hundred and fifty yards, a couple of touchdowns like the Bengals just are not built that way. That offensive line is not good. at run blocking, pass blocking, any blocking. Burrow, the offense runs through Joe Burrow and Jamar Chase. Chase Brown is so far down the list of people that they want to get the ball to. He's barely rosterable. How do you feel about Chuba Hubbard here, Eric? Running back Carolina Panthers, one point four fancy points for him. Chuba Hubbard (RB, Carolina Panthers) Fifty four percent of the snaps, which was which was OK here in week one. I think we wanted a little bit more up in the sixties, the seventy percent of snaps, knowing that Miles Sanders is really his only competition until we do see the dynamic rookie Jonathan Brooks back out there later in the season. Six rushes for fourteen yards, no targets, no red zone touches either for Hubbard. Oh, man, I think I'm out on this whole Carolina Panthers offense until otherwise noted. Yourself, where do you stand on the panic meter, Eric? Uh, relatively low. Right. Um, like, like I mentioned, I I'm, I'm typically one to preach, preach caution and patience, uh, when we're coming out of week number one. And then you, you know, you, you further that by the fact that we're talking about a forty seven to ten game, which in the rare instance probably wasn't even quite that close. Right. So like everything about these stat lines in this box score is, you know, it should be taken with a grain of salt is a bit of an outlier. Right. um you know I wouldn't say that I'm a one you know I I think I'm certainly not to a point where you know I'm benching him necessarily I would like to see um you know him get a bit more uh of that opportunity uh share there in uh in carolina but you know ultimately I I think this is a game that was out of hand very very quickly and that you know that that in turn doesn't really give us a good look at how carolina is going to be approaching most games in terms of their game plan Overall, pretty decent week for the running back position. Like, if you spent up for a running back early this year, like, you weren't super disappointed. You know, not outside of Saquon, not a ton of huge pop-off games, but not a bunch of duds either. So, running backs, congratulations. You get shit on a lot in this game that we call fantasy football. So... Glad to have you win one here and there. I want to move on to the Chris Olave (WR, New Orleans Saints) wide receiver position, gentlemen, where Chris Olave did not look great here in week number one, but kind of a weird game script as Eric was just alluding to. The Saints did win forty seven to ten. The new look, Gary Kubiak offense looked really good delivered here in week one. However, just two targets for Olave. Three point one fancy points up next. Dallas, which will be a tougher matchup. And then Philly, Atlanta, Kansas City. So, you know, some good, some bad there, Steve. How are we feeling about Olave here on the Panic Meter? So, Olave fell into that weird space in the draft where it was just, like, yucky. It was, like, that awful, like, dead zone for players. I don't think you walk out of this feeling great, right? I mean, they just put up forty-seven points, and he only had two targets. Now, I know the running back scored a lot of that, and we saw two different tight ends score a touchdown from Derek Carr. Rasheed Shaheed kicked it off right away with a deep bomb touchdown. I mean... It was a strange game. To see him get two targets is unusual. I think that'll definitely come up. I'm not panicking on Olave. I don't love Dallas as a matchup at all. But, you know, I think Chris Olave is going to be very matchup dependent this year. I'm not starting him against Dallas, but I would start him against Philly. Eric, are you already considering benching Chris Olave, potentially a top-thirty-six pick, potentially a top-twenty-five pick in a lot of drafts here? I'm never a huge Saints guy. You know that. I've been harping on Dennis Allen on these airwaves for a long time and the ghost of Carmichael. I was shitting on him for a long time as well. But I don't know if Rashid Shahid and Derek Carr are getting beers after each game, but those guys are buds. They seem to have some deep connection here. So I'm not as panicked as Steve. I think I'm still slinging a lobby out there. I'm probably about a two. Where do you come in here? Yeah, I'm much closer to your side of the scale, right? Arguably a little bit less. Like I mentioned a second ago, everything about this game is outlier city. To your point about Carr's connection with Shahid, Carr doesn't have the biggest arm in the world, but in terms of deep ball accuracy, he's actually pretty solid, right? So that plays into Shahid's game. And if nothing else, the thing that we have to keep in mind here, Chris Olave was in a huge downgrade matchup, right? He was facing off against JC Horn, one of the premier coverage corners in all of the NFL so the limited time where they were still running kind of their you know their game plan sets he was seeing that in very very tight coverage um you know yes he I mean I think you can probably project a bit of a downgrade again this week coming up against Dallas but Not to the point where I'm benching him for fringe players. If you lucked your way into an embarrassment of riches at the wide receiver position, you might be in for a hard decision heading into week number two. But realistically, I don't think there's going to be someone sitting on your bench that you can make a defendable case to start over Olave, even in a tough matchup. All right, let's get through some more wide receivers here. Brandon Ayuk, four point eight fancy points. Brandon Aiyuk (WR, San Francisco 49ers) Turns out, Steve, you do need preseason. Drop the touchdown in the back of the end zone. Kind of a diving touchdown. So it wasn't the easiest of catches, despite kind of what they made out to be on the broadcast. But still five targets, two catches, twenty eight yards against Sauce Gardner and the Jets up next here. Minnesota, the Rams, San Francisco and Arizona. So some attackable secondaries. Do you feel better about Ayuk heading into week number two here? Absolutely. He's the one for me. He faced the hardest competition he'll face all year. Sauce Gardner is arguably the best cornerback in the NFL. It's him, Pat Sertain. I mean, that's really kind of where we're at in terms of cornerbacks right now. And he, like you said, dropped a touchdown. I mean, you give that to him, he gets six more points. He's in double digits. You're feeling great, right? I mean, listen, they gave him all the money. They gave him the money. Follow the money. Follow money. Because that is where the ball will go. I hope so. I hope we talked about a couple weeks ago that I hope they start treating him like a wide receiver one. We didn't really see it in week one, but kind of a weird situation. McCaffrey being rolled out over the weekend. Hopefully they'll install more form to get some guaranteed touches in the game plan. Calvin Ridley, how do you feel about it, Calvin Ridley (WR, Tennessee Titans) Eric? Eight fantasy points for him. Another dud week one performance from Ridley coming back here now as a member of the Tennessee Titans. Seven targets, three for fifty. Will Levis, though. Oh, I know our guy Will on the program hyped him up last week, but he looks like ass. Two interceptions led to twenty four unanswered points from the Bears here. Where's the panic meter on our guy Calvin Ridley? Moderately high. The thing that I'll say about Calvin Ridley is we were able to get a discount on him in drafts this year to where you probably have alternatives that are looking pretty viable for however much of a rough game it was for the Titans overall. Calvin Ridley was still their leading receiver, their leading target getter. I think that there are some things to build off here. He's another player that was missed on a couple of pretty deep plays where he was essentially wide open or very close to open. There are a couple of balls that could bounce in his direction and we could be not even having him on this list. But overall, I think what we're saying is that there's reason for skepticism around this Titans offense and what Will Levis showed us in week one. We lost that. Marvin Harrison Jr., I didn't even think it was possible. One point four fancy points, ran ninety one percent of snaps, just did not look good. Only earned three targets. And I'll be honest, man, that one bad drop he had. I just I don't think I've ever seen that of Marv. I've watched a lot of Ohio State. I've watched a lot of Big Ten games and he looked kind of clunky on that route to begin with. Falls kind of slips. The ball goes out of his hands. Where are we at with Marv, the next one, Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR, Arizona Cardinals) the next great? Where are we thinking, Steve? Because I'm still at a one. I think I'll come back around. I'm not ready to write off a generational prospect. But, Dan, was I not disappointed? Was I not fucking disappointed? Yeah, you can't have walked away from that and felt good because he not only didn't look like the number one, he didn't look like the number two, he didn't even look like the number three option in that offense. Greg Dortch, Michael Wilson, Trey McBride. all out-targeted Marvin Harrison Jr. Now, people want to point to that wide – he was running wide open. It would have been a touchdown, walk-in touchdown. That's great. Blown coverage. Kyler Murray wasn't looking his way. That's a real problem that he got one catch for four yards. You spent the third overall pick on this guy or fourth overall pick on this guy, and you gave him – one catch for four yards. You didn't even try to manufacture targets for him, especially when your offense dried up in the second half. No screens either. Yeah. I was expecting at least a manufactured. Yeah. I said this a few weeks ago on, I think this podcast and I, I stand by it. I was worried about Marvin Harrison for one reason only. And I thought his ability to separate was not up to par with the talent that he has. And as I've harped over and over and over on a certain wide receiver for the Falcons, if you cannot separate at the NFL level, you will not get targets because your quarterbacks do not want to throw interceptions on your behalf. How do you feel about it, Eric? Are you still in on Marv? I'm not going to doubt the guy's route running. I'm not going to doubt his separation here. I'm not throwing him under the bus like Steve is early. Again, I'm still at a one. But should I be concerned? Are there signs underlining that are saying, hey, maybe we do jump ship if possible? Because you have a guy right here. I'm willing to buy him. If someone's willing to sell Marv, I'll take him. Dude, you and I are in lockstep here, right? happiness is a function of expectations you go out and your team spends the fourth overall real nfl draft pick your fantasy team spends a late first round or early second round draft pick to acquire a guy and he puts up this kind of performance you are freaking out you are you are questioning every decision that you made over the course of the off season you are ready to panic sell and that is exactly the type of mark that we have to take advantage of do we want to see him getting schemed up and you know having screen plays and you know different different plays that are called specifically to get the ball in his hand absolutely but week one his very first nfl game kyler murray's first game with him right you know it it seems as though he had that troublesome drop and they just kind of stopped looking his way but if you if you pull up the all-twenty-two tape he was open left and right in that game The Cardinals coaching staff is going to get into the film room and see him running all wide open in that secondary, and they're going to make it a point to pass the ball to him. So not only am I not panicked, he is hands down my biggest trade target out in the market right now. So minus one, minus two, maybe. You're ready to go. Better than ever, honestly. Trying to go out there and get as much Marv as I can. All right. I don't have much. I wasn't paying that late first price tag. But if I can get him for a guy that I got in the third or fourth, now we're talking. Last singular wide receiver here, Terry McLaurin, Eric, three point seven fantasy points for him. Terry McLaurin (WR, Washington Commanders) We talked a lot about this Washington offense over the offseason. We thought it would be high pace. We thought it could potentially lead to some scoring. Seems like that will come to fruition here under Cliff Kingsbury. However, Oh, man, like it just doesn't seem like it's going to be a lot of passing volume. Maybe we overhyped Jaden Daniels passing production profile here as well. Tied for the team leading targets was McLaurin with four of them, just twenty four passing attempts. Kind of reminds me here of like a young Lamar Jackson, how that offense looked in in Baltimore. Not a lot of fancy viable targets there. So. I think I'm panicked, and I'll be honest. I haven't drafted Terry McLaurin really since his rookie year. I had him stashed in a bunch of dynasty leagues and a bench, guys. Sixteen, fifteen round rows, I was taking him coming out of Ohio State, and since then, I've been out on him. I got back on board this season, though. I was full diving in because I loved this offense. I loved what he could do, especially without Jahan Dotson absorbing some targets, but I'm worried. I'm worried. I probably put myself at a six. I don't think I'm trading him. I'm waiting until better days ahead. But if someone eventually does offer me something, I think I might move him. I'm I'm not particularly worried right um we we have to keep in mind right like adjusting to the NFL level is a very difficult thing to do right especially at the quarterback position um you know not exactly a turn style type of matchup in that secondary and also you you mentioned it as you were talking about the the setup to this yes not a crazy volume but still their leading Target getter right their primary option And another guy who was overthrown on probably a sixty five or seventy yard walk in touchdown. Right. I think that we're going to see a point where they get into a better rhythm. Their timing and their anticipation starts to tighten up. And, you know, if that same throw is presented to them in week three, week four, I think they connect and we're not even having this conversation. So obviously you don't want to see him come out, you know, with with a bit of a whimper. But I don't think that this is anything to cause panic for at this point. Chicago Bears WRs Steve, let's round out the wide receiver position here on the panic meter. Caleb Williams had just ninety two passing yards, fourteen of twenty nine. That led to a pretty disaster day for the Chicago Bears offense. Keenan Allen dropped in an end zone target, had eleven targets in total, but just four for twenty nine for him. DJ Moore was able to salvage his day a little bit, get to double digit fancy points, five receptions on eight targets, thirty six yards. And Roman Doones, they now battling a knee injury as well week to week. after just one catch for eleven yards on four targets, as a whole or individually, however you want to split it up, where is the panic meter on the Chicago Bears passing weapons? Well, I think it all is going to hinge on how panicked are you about Caleb Williams, right? Like, the problem was not that the Bears weren't getting open. The problem was Caleb Williams wasn't making reads. And listen, you know what? I know I tend to probably have strong opinions on a lot of players frequently. um but again this is one of those guys that I just look at and I'm like man you can't you can't tell me keenan allen's not good right I can't put it on keenan allen can't put it on dj more because I've seen him do it this is a function of coaching which we knew was a problem yeah shane waldron wasn't the guy that I think we were all lining up to get behind that's for sure but also ibraplus is still there like this is not a problem like listen man can coach your defense yeah that's great and you know what that's all well and good but you know what you spent the first overall pick you traded justin fields you did all this stuff you bought your offense you brought in a billion different people you probably should have had an offensive minded head coach like that's the reality of it and caleb williams the worry I have for him is that he his first instinct is not to throw it's to run and like he he When people compared him to Patrick Mahomes, the big thing they said is his improvisation, right? That's the number one thing that people attribute to him and Patrick Mahomes. The difference is Patrick Mahomes knows when to get that ball out of his hands, and he does so quickly most of the time. His first instinct isn't to improvise. His first instinct is to run the play and then move off of it if it doesn't work. Caleb Williams looks lost in that game. I am very, very worried about another Lincoln-Riley project coming to the NFL and struggling to process the game. How do you feel about it, Eric? Because there is some credence to what Steve is saying. We've seen Garrett Nussmeyer down there, or excuse me, Miller Moss, quarterback for the USC Trojans this season, look very good, look in rhythm, kind of playing a different style of football out there under Lincoln Riley. And Caleb Williams was never a system guy. He was always kind of a improv, do it, do it yourself kind of guy. But I think that can be reined in in the NFL, right? I think it's just a growing pain. So I'm still probably a three or a four. I'm a zero on DJ Moore. I think better days ahead. Keenan Allen, I'm probably a two or a three. I love the eleven targets, not a lot of production, especially with Rome out now. I think I'm higher on these guys than maybe even I came into week one. How do you feel about it? Yeah, pretty close to where you are, right? I agree on DJ Moore, you know, zero or one. I would actually have Keenan Allen right there as well, right? Like, you know, we talked a lot over the course of the offseason that Keenan Allen was a player who was brought in to be the safety blanket, the security blanket for Caleb Williams. So even though he had a bad day in terms of fantasy production, even though Caleb Williams looked like he wasn't quite ready for the NFL level, if Keenan Allen's going to go out there and get double-digit targets every week, we have to feel pretty good about his prospects for the season as a whole. Roma Dunze, you know, is legitimately an open question. I think it's more about how Shane Waldron uses him in this offense and his, you know, absolute hatred for using three wide receiver sets overall. But, you know, on the whole, like you said, I think it's much more growing pains, right? You would obviously much rather see Caleb Williams immediately come in and live up to that hype. But you have to think, you know, CJ Stroud kind of spoiled us last year. It's not all that often that you see quarterbacks come in and immediately make an impact. And even in the case of Stroud, first month, month and a half of the season, he was just kind of all right. So we got to give these rookies a bit of grace, a bit of latitude, but certainly not the way you want to see him starting the season. I'm learning from this segment, Steve, very much a pessimistic person and Eric, very optimistic guy. Uh, let's round it out here in the panic meter. Uh, top tight end scoring was just absurd. High-Priced Tight Ends Isaiah, likely Foster, Moreau, Brock Bowers, Kyle Pitts, Juwan Johnson. That that's the top five there for you in week one shows you how drunk of a week it really fucking was. And, Uh, are you worried about any top tight ends there? Cause I personally am not. I think they're all still volume getters in their offense. I didn't love what we saw about, uh, from Dalton Kincaid. I thought his usage was a little weird, but they were bracketing the fuck out of him. And so I think he'll have better days. I think Mark Andrews, who also got bracketed hard on Thursday night, will have better days. So I'm not panicked on any tight end that was drafted inside the top eight. Najoku is going to be out. Ferg is going to be out for a little bit. But aside from that, I'm wheels up here. I'm a zero. Yourself, Eric? generally speaking I'm right there with you right uh you know kind of kind of odd a bit of a head scratcher that you know all of the top tight ends turned in uh you know a subpar performance in the first week of the season but um you know definitely think it's it's more of an outlier you mentioned kincaid obviously didn't get the production you want but I mean he was out there on eighty four percent of snaps right like they were definitely right yeah right right involved He was also very much so a focal point of the opposing defense's attention. So definitely think better days are ahead. Isaiah likely on the positive side is apparently the wide receiver too in Baltimore. So there's a lot to be excited about in that regard. Yeah, I'm absolutely with you there, Steve. Round us out. Any final thoughts on the tight ends? Is there one name that you're just like, hey, I'm a little worried. You know, I got some trepidatious with anything like that for you or you wheels up like Eric and myself? There's one name that I'm pretty worried about overall, and it's Travis Kelsey. I think... The wheels were going to fall off eventually on Travis Kelsey. Don't go there. You cannot go there. Father Time is undefeated, and... You can't, like, he didn't look like Travis Kelsey, right? But he did look like Travis Kelsey at times last year, too, and then he showed up in the playoffs. And that's a big problem. That's a big problem that we started to see this start. It started last year, right? I'm not saying he's going to be bad, but what I'm saying is everybody who drafted him as, like, the third tight end off the board is going to be disappointed. Like, for me, the tight end one on the year is Kyle Pitts. That's the tight end I want to know. Stop it. Like that's the guy I had rated coming into the season as the tight end one. That's who I went with. Like Travis Kelsey, listen, I'm a fan. I like Travis Kelsey. I like his podcast. I like his girlfriend. I am a big fan. But, you know, he's a few years older than me. And I know if I got smashed by linebackers, I probably wouldn't be feeling too hot the next day. You know, at some point it catches up with all of us. So it may just like the bell may be ringing. on Travis Kelsey. That's someone to me. I'm going out and also trying to trade for, to be honest with you. I just think he's, I don't think he has lost a step. And I think that just comes down to what you believe there. Like I, I think to the eye test, he hasn't always looked like himself in the last year or so, but we saw him turn it up late in the playoff. So maybe he turns it up here early in the season as well. I'm not too worried about it here. But I understand the concern, and it's real. It's totally real. You're not feeling that alone, Steve. You're not on an island there by any means. But let's go ahead, guys. Let's turn the page here and talk a little more Week Two action with our InScope. In the Scope: Week 2 Waiver Wire Targets To Add for $0 FAAB InScope. All right. And the scope is our waivers a week early segment. Who will be the biggest waiver wire claims following week two that you can get for free now? We will talk about some of these mainstream targets. If there's one or two that stands out to us that we're definitely spending up fab for. But the main portion of this segment is spent on some deeper dives that you can really get after waivers. Maybe put in a one dollar, a zero fab bid, whatever your minimum bid is. Potentially wake up tomorrow smiling. You still got that fab in hand. And you also, uh, you also have potentially a bolstered roster as well. Let's start here with the mainstream target. So at quarterback Baker Mayfield owning about thirty percent of leagues. Mainstream Week 2 Waiver Wire Targets We touched on him last week as well. Justin Fields. I got Jay Fields rostered everywhere. Let's go. There is eleven point one percent rostered. Matthew Stafford. If you're really trying to dig deep here, thirty five point eight percent rostered, um, At the running back position, which I think is a big draw this week, Jordan Mason, twenty three point seven percent of rostered. We definitely need to have Jordan Mason on our rosters. He needs to be close to one percent owned. Rico Dowdle still out there in about sixty percent of leagues. Julio McLaughlin, about sixty percent of leagues available. Justice Hill, pretty much out there for the taking. He's going to have a role in this Ravens pass catching backfield role. So I would definitely be interested in him. Jalen Wright as well, twenty three point four percent rostered. Bucky Irving, twenty percent. We'll be right back. Yeah, I mean, Mason is the clear priority, right? We've already had CMC ruled out for next week and future weeks beyond that are very much so in doubt. Beyond that, I was really happy to see Rico Dowdle be at pretty much a fifty-fifty split with Ezekiel Elliott. in this game, a game where they had plenty of opportunity to run the ball. So he's someone that I'm certainly interested in. There was a bit of a question as to whether or not we're going to see Derrick Henry catch a few passes out of the backfield in Baltimore. He's not. It's Justice Hill, right? So he's out there if you're needing that third down back type of profile. And then Jalen Wright's kind of an interesting one. After he was inactive heading into this week, He might not be in a lot of people's radars, but like we talked about earlier, both Raheem Mostert and Devon Achan are on the injury report. Both did not practice today. So he might be a guy that you can go out there and get tonight before they miss a second practice tomorrow and be able to get him on the cheap. And he could slot right in for a start. Steve, I want to ask you here a question from George. Would you use your number one waiver priority, not a fab league, just a waiver priority league, to pick up Bucky Irving? If so, should he drop Trey Benson or Blake Corm as other running backs here? Saquon Barkley, Jameer Gibbs, Brian Robinson, Javante Williams, Jordan Mason, and Jalen Wright. My advice would not to do that. I would want to keep that number one waiver priority, especially I don't want to drop Trey Benson or Blake Corm if that's the lowest on my roster. How do you feel about it, my friend? Yeah, no, you're not using your number one waiver priority on Bucky Irving. There has to, I mean, I have, I need, I have a few questions like how deep is your league? Like who else is out there on waivers? Like if I have the number one waiver priority, I mean, I'm looking at his running backs and if he has those guys as his running backs, I'm imagining that like Isaiah likely is available on waivers and he just feels like a better pick than Bucky Irving. Listen, Bucky Irving like did well, but it wasn't anything special. Like I think Rashad White's going to do just fine and he'll still be the lead back. You don't want to spend your number one waiver priority on a guy who is very game script dependent. Yeah, yeah, I'm with you there. We did see the Bucs get up in this one in May. That's why we did see so much Bucky Irving. Bones like Bucky Irving, though, coming out of Oregon, other than his four-yard dash time really pissed me off because I had a little bit of gambling wagers on him to essentially win that four-yard dash there. Eric, are you kind of in lockstep with us here, not spending up that number one priority for Irving, a guy it seems like our guy George Play doesn't really need right now? Yeah, that's really the thing, right? Like, you know, more than anything else, you know, trust your own evaluation. If you think that Bucky Irving is the best player on your wire, I'm not going to, you know, quibble with that. But, you know, looking at this roster, like, where is he realistically impacting your starting lineup or even your depth overall? Yeah. It seemed to be pretty flush at the running back position. I don't think there's really a world where, you know, you're going to be making a Bucky Irving start sit decision at any point in the near term, right? So, you know, it's always nice to, you know, go out and add a guy that might have his arrow pointing up, but not at the cost of cutting someone that might have value and not at the cost of sacrificing that first overall waiver claim. That's a hammer you want to keep in your quiver for as long as you can. Great. Keep it in the back pocket as long as you can, George. Um, JJ, I'm seeing you have a question as well for a trade. We'll answer that here, uh, in from the form and just a little bit. If you can hang out with us, we can get through the rest of the waiver wire. And then we have a little game for you with, would you rather as well, uh, at the wide receiver position, get Khalil Shakir rostered, please. He's not over fifty percent. I shouldn't have to say this anymore. Um, anytime TD plus two seventy last week, boys, let's go. That was, that was, uh, one of the highlights of my gambling weekend, um, out there. Uh, Demarcus Robinson, we know Puka Nakua is going to be out for a couple weeks here with injuries, so Demarcus Robinson should be rostered in just the fourteen point eight percent of leagues. We saw him kind of come on late last season. Greg Dortch also makes the waiver wire segment of this show after being an in the scope target. Could have gone for free last year. Last week, if you listen to me, still point six percent of leagues. So didn't really move the needle on his roster ship with that episode last week. But he's still out there as well at Brandon Cooks. Now that Jake Ferguson is gone as well. At the tight end position, Isaiah Likely and Colbert Parkinson. Steve, would you rather pay up heavy for Likely? I'm going to be honest. Hopefully none of my league mates are listening. In my home league, I had Dave Njoku. I lost him. I know there's a manager out there who's very aggressive on waivers. and lost Jake Ferguson as well. So I know if I want likely, I'm going to have to play fifty percent. I'm just going to be honest. Like, that's probably where I'm going in this league. So should I do that? Should managers do that? Or should we maybe just pay a little bit less for Colby Parkinson here? And well, a lot less, probably two to three percent on Parkinson and just take a little bit of a difference there. No, I think you should spend your fifty percent of your fab on Isaiah Likely. I truly believe this because I'm about to do the same thing. And because I had David Njoku and so he's out. I have put in for fifty two dollar fab bid on Isaiah Likely. Listen, there are very, very, very few tight ends in the NFL who can do what Isaiah Likely can do athletically. He is a. He is so good. I wouldn't be shocked to see him take a handoff or two in games. I mean, this man is everywhere and he looks like the guy who's going to move the sticks for the, for the Ravens. Now, listen, Mark Andrews, I had forgotten this, but was in a car accident earlier this year during the, during the off season. Right. So he, He didn't have a full training camp, all that stuff. But Isaiah Likely, look at the way they were used. Mark Andrews was owning the seams. He was owning between the hashes. Isaiah Likely was that outside receiver. It was Rashad Bateman. It was Isaiah Likely. And he was taking those out routes. When there was something that they were like, hey, listen, we just need some rack yardage here. It wasn't going to Flowers. It wasn't going to Bateman. It wasn't even going to Justice Hill. It was going to Isaiah Likely. I think... Harbaugh said it. They wanted to get the ball in his hands as many different ways as they could. And I don't think it was coach speak. I think he flat out told the world, hey, listen, this kid is good. And we didn't listen. And there's a real chance that we just saw him take over as the tight end one in Baltimore. No, no, Mark. Okay, I loved everything you said until you said that. Listen, again, I know these are really strong claims, but I need to back them up with the fact that this happens all the time, and we don't think it's going to. But Mark Andrews has shown year over year over year that he is very injury prone. Now, the best way to keep your injury prone stars healthy is to lower their workload. Now, if I am trying to keep Mark Andrews healthy, am I going to say to Lamar Jackson, throw it to him thirteen times a game? Probably not. When I have Isaiah Likely, who can move the sticks like that, keep them healthy. It was the same reason I warned people off of Derrick Henry. They are not going to beat these guys to death. They do not want to because last year they went to the playoffs and weren't healthy enough to win. The Ravens are in it to win it. They are not here for the regular season anymore. This is the year that the Ravens have to win. Isaiah likely is somebody you should be burning fab on because he may well be that guy. We didn't think Laporta would be it last year. Eric, and I was about to say that like last year after the week one waiver wire, I know in a lot of leagues, not some of the more competitive ones, but Puka was out there. Kyron Williams was out there. We had guys like Laporta and looking back, if we could have gone and spent a hundred percent of our fab on those guys or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, or, uh priority and fab intact yeah look for uh for every kyron williams or puka nakua there are ten other guys who pop in week number one and never return to prominence in the way that they did in that first week right so you you can't just point to the uh the outlier successes and say that that is the reason why you should unload the clip immediately on the first player that has a big game I will say it right here. We have now already seen Isaiah Likely's best game of the season. I'm not saying that he's going to fall off a cliff, but this is absolutely his high watermark for the twenty twenty fourth season. I don't agree that we're going to see him overtake Mark Andrews. I think we're actually going to see a lot of twelve personnel in Baltimore, and these two are both going to be fairly heavily involved. Right. I do think that you should spend a fair amount of money on Isaiah. I wouldn't go fifty percent, but if both of your circumstances where you're down David and Joku and that was your only starting tight end, yeah, I think it's fair to go twenty five, thirty five percent. Right. Alternatively, I think there are probably Some guys, we talk about Parkinson, who is out there for eighty eight percent of snaps. Taysom Hill, depending on your format, is owned in thirty to fifty percent of leagues. Tucker Craft right there. There are some guys that are out there that you can get on the cheap. So if you want to try to thread the needle and not just completely blow through your entire budget, you can go a little bit lower on likely and have one of those guys as your plan B. But. Yeah, the two of you are in the worst case scenario where you really have to make a very expensive decision on likely. Yeah. Can I make one more point about Adea likely before we move off of him? Because I think this is really important for fantasy managers to notice is on the last drive of the game when the Ravens needed a touchdown to win. Two of those passes in the end zone went to Isaiah Likely, and zero went to Mark Andrews. Zero. He got hurt the next play. He came back in, and he got another target, and he was a toe away from scoring. He has Lamar Jackson's trust in the most important moments. You know when they play the Chiefs, they want to win that game. That was revenge, and he looked at Isaiah Likely. This man's going to be a stud. To further that point, right? Led the team in first downs. Five first downs for Isaiah Likely in that first game. They're going to him in high leverage situations. I'm in complete agreement there. I don't think that we should expect to see thirty-ish points from him. I also agree. Don't expect thirty points a game. But not many tight ends can take a touchdown fifty yards. Agreed. Agreed. Let's move on to our In The Scope candidates. So these are the players that you can get after waivers run. They aren't going to cost you a lot of fab. Really the highlight of this episode, in my opinion. I want to start us out here, boys. Wan’Dale Robinson (WR - NYG) | 6.9 Usually I'll defer to one of you, but... I'm jazzed. I think I'm on to something. I think I'm a little sneaky snake here. Yeah, let's go here. Wandale Robinson, wide receiver for the New York Giants. Third year guy out of Kentucky roster in just about six point nine percent of leagues here. And when he was with the Wildcats down in the SEC there, this guy was a target hog. This is kind of always part of his profile here. Twenty six, twenty eight point six percent target share here in week number one. One rushing opportunity as well. And I'll be honest, like I was expecting Jalen Hyatt to see more of a role. He didn't only play twenty three percent of snaps while Wandale. Yeah, played sixty eight percent of the snaps here. So maybe this is the time where Wandale can finally turn it into real production. We haven't seen that quite yet. I mean, he's still only turned. you know, eleven, twelve targets into, you know, not a ton of fantasy points, but maybe better days are ahead here for him and he can turn into production. I don't think defenses can necessarily double team or not double team Malik neighbors every single week. I think that's where the Giants want to go. And Daniel Jones kind of, as you pointed out to earlier, Steve, like he's not going to force the ball to him. He's already thrown enough interceptions, already thrown enough pick sixes that He's not going to be able to lock on to neighbors like I think we thought that he would get seven to ten targets every game. I mean, I think he's still probably in that six to eight range. But I think maybe the high end target getting is maybe not where I thought it was going to be early in the season, at least. So I think the big thing for Wandale for me, though, Eric, he plays the commanders in week two. That's you know, secondary is better than anyone, my friend. You're the cornerback expert here on the show. One of the worst secondaries in the league gave up the second most fancy points in week number one. So I'm full send on Wandale. And I think if you were in a pinch, you could even throw him in the lineup this week. Yeah, to your latter point, right, like if you are a Puka Nakua manager or you are without a starting option and it's thin out there, I think you can make a case for Wandale. Generally speaking, I'm not trying to hang my hat or depend on anything in this New York Giants offense. I get it. I get it. Yeah, you know, but if you know if we're if we're scraping the bottom of the barrel, like we're talking about guys that are out there in less than ten percent of leagues for a reason, you know, he checks a lot of boxes, right? Being on the field is a big part of it. Obviously, it was a horrendous open to the season for the Giants, but I don't think it was actually quite as bad as it looked on paper and to the eye, right? The Giants lead the league in on-target passes that were dropped, so maybe they shake some of that rust off, they squeeze some of those and bring them in, and we're not looking at quite the laughingstock of an offense. So don't think it's too far out there, and it's definitely got a place if you're in a deeper format. Steve, I want to go to you, man. Who's your in-the-scope target for week number one, or I guess, excuse me, week number two of the season? Yeah, I'm going to the Rams, and I'm actually going to Tyler Johnson, who he caught five of seven targets out there for seventy nine yards against Tyler Johnson (WR - LAR) | 0 a pretty good defense. And I think a lot of people are looking at DeMarcus Robinson. But Tyler Johnson is owned in no leads. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Like, that's insane to me. And frankly, he is the only real deep play kind of bomb it. kind of guy that they have out there right now. And that's going to be, listen, if there's a guy who can make those plays happen, it's Matt Stafford, right? Like we know his deep ball is, it's a work of art. It should be hung in the Louvre when he's retired. I mean, this thing is beautiful. Matt Stafford still got an absolute bazooka and this guy can go deep. I love him as a best ball kind of DFS dart throw that you could add, put them in. do that because I mean, he got seven targets in a really, again, a really tight game where someone needed to do something. Yes. Cooper cup is going to get his thousand targets because that's what Matt Stafford is going to do. But it looked like the Rams have kind of gone a little more air raid this season. And I like it. And I like it for Tyler Johnson. I was a big Tyler Johnson guy coming out of Minnesota. Again, my big ten bias definitely showed, I think. I was also on his teammate Rashad Bateman coming out, so pie on my face for those two calls there. But I just worry because I think Demarcus Robinson, that's what he kind of used to do with the Chiefs as well. He was kind of their deep guy. He might not be that necessarily for the Rams nowadays. He's a little long in the tooth to be the burner. I just, yeah, you're not wrong. How old's Demarcus Robinson now? He's got to be younger than you. I mean, he's been around. I feel like he's got to be younger than probably you, Steve. Probably older than me, though. Yeah, I just think you can miss me on, again, TJ. And I love him. I miss the days with Bateman. He's about my age. Okay, yeah. I don't know. I just think I'm out. I think if there's a receiving option I want in this offense now that Puka's out, that is out there, Eric, for me it is Parkinson. Do you have any TJ love, or do you think you'd rather push your basket or your eggs into the basket of Parkinson or Demarcus Robinson? Although Tyler Johnson's not going to cost you anything because everyone's going to go after those two. Yeah, getting a guy on the cheap is always appealing to me. I love what Steve mentioned about how TJ checks the box as an interesting sort of best ball type of ad, right? Someone that you can get out there. I'm super curious to see what this Rams offense does heading into week two, right? you know towards the end of the season last year where we saw the rams really get things going offensively they started running a lot more pistol formation I was expecting them to do that coming into this week one and they kind of didn't right so not exactly sure what the read is on the rams offense if they are spreading it out and going a little bit more vertical maybe we do see a larger involvement for tyler johnson so don't mind getting him on the on the cheap and the matchup is fantastic right um Look at all of the Buffalo Bills receivers that went off against the Arizona Cardinals secondary. We talked about it over the course of the offseason. If the way that you are fixing your secondary is by bringing in Sean Murphy Bunting, your secondary is not going to be very good. And through one week, that is holding true. Absolutely. Eric? I've got so many thoughts on that. I just want to acknowledge me. Acknowledge me right now for Keon Coleman, Seth. I want to hear it. I want you to acknowledge me right now. Hey, it's all right. It's all right. Hey, he had a good first run. Who is he better than this week? Who is he better than this week? Drop his name. Say his name. I mean, Drake London. That's right. That's right. Drake London running against Barry Porter Jr. I am your tribal chief right now. Yeah, yeah. JPJ is out there, baby. I'm at the head of the table for Keon Coleman. Start the fire, start the fire, start the week one victory laugh. Steve's taking them right now. Pour the gasoline on the fire. Eric, round us out here within the scope. You have a player who might be rostered in more leagues than Tyler Johnson or Wandale Robinson out there, but might not be for very much longer after a disappointing week one for this rookie. Adonai Mitchell (WR - IND) | 30.2 Yeah, we're threading an interesting needle here. Adonai Mitchell rostered in about thirty percent of leagues, but also in the top ten of the most dropped players on sleeper. That has a lot to do with him turning in a one reception for two yard outing in his rookie debut. Saw five targets, but taking a closer look, this is the poster child for why you can't just look at a box score and make your determination. If you actually go back and watch that game, yes, five targets, but it was actually a twenty six percent target share. We didn't see Anthony Richardson throw the ball very much at all. He was out there running routes on eighteen of the nineteen passing plays that Anthony Richardson attempted to pass. and specifically watching the actual game itself, not even watching the highlights, they're not going to make their way on there. He was missed on two walk-in touchdowns, would have accumulated a hundred yards and two scores, and had another deep ball that at least would have been forty or fifty yards, if not a potential third touchdown. So this is a guy... that they are clearly looking to as a field stretcher, as a down the field option, as a guy that they can trust in these tight moments. Unfortunately, in week one, which I think was start number five for Anthony Richardson, still very young in his NFL career, he just didn't quite have that touch in the intermediate level. I think we see them tune that up. And Adonai Mitchell is a player that can make a big splash for the entirety of the season for Indianapolis. All-nineteen passing attempts. Do you think Rich starts airing it out a little bit more here, Eric? Well, that's actually kind of the issue. He was airing it out, right? He is currently the leader in yards per completion. Volume down, though. The volume's down, though. Well, the volume's down because you don't need to have a whole lot of volume if you're connecting on sixty, seventy, eighty yard bombs every time you're getting the ball in your hand, right? So I do think that we see those outlier type of plays start to regress to the mean a little bit and we see him get closer to the pack in terms of yards per completion and that will necessitate a higher passing volume overall. Okay. All right. Awesome. Awesome. Well, I appreciate all the insight from you guys there on the waiver wire, on the endoscope targets. I'm seeing some more questions coming in the chat. We'll get to those in just a little bit. We got a little game for you here that we like to play on the program called Would You Rather. Would You Rather? Risking business or ethnicity? Would you rather? It ain't no simple matter, but it is a game we like to play here on the IBT podcast. Kyle, how you doing, man? Appreciate you hosting the game tip this week. Yeah, of course. It's always a pleasure to be on air with the boys, come out from behind the curtain, reveal myself to all the wonderful people at home, and Eric, who hasn't seen me in maybe a month, it feels like. Eric's dodging. He told me he didn't like you the other day. Whenever we're doing our pre-show planning, I'm like, is Jim Scott going to be there? I'm out. It's something about that red hair, Kyle. It just freaks Eric out. Yeah, it freaks out a lot of people. I don't blame him. What do we have on tap this week, man, for a little bit of Would You Rather? Yeah, we got some fantasy football questions as always. It is a fantasy football show, of course. And then we also have some movies and some culture in general, you could say. So we're going to start off with a little fantasy football and then ease into it. So which one in all NFC team would you rather bet to win Which 1-0 NFC Team Not Named the 49ers Could Win the Super Bowl? the Super Bowl? The Detroit Lions, the Philadelphia Eagles, or the Dallas Cowboys? So, Eric, you, are you even allowed to legally bet? What are your thoughts regardless? Don't give up Eric's secrets. yeah uh fortunately I know a guy who knows a guy so I'll I'll be all set um I'll I'll answer this question not knowing what the actual price is on any of these teams where we sit with them each being one and oh um for for me the the choice is is pretty clear and it's it's kind of a practical answer right we have three nfc teams here that are um that are they're sitting here at one and oh And two of them are in the same division. So a little bit of an easier path for the Detroit Lions, especially now that we're looking at several weeks without Jordan Love for the Green Bay Packers. I think we have a much clearer line of sight to winning the division for the Detroit Lions and having that home field advantage even just to start The playoff cycle is a huge determining factor in how deep a team can make a run. So Detroit Lions get a pretty clear nod for me, if nothing else, because I think Philadelphia and Dallas are going to be kind of pulling each other down towards the mean. Eleven to one. That's an awesome price, I think, on the lines right now when like you look at them and I'm a guy who always likes to bet on on, especially when futures and going with Super Bowls or championships. I like betting on the trenches. I think the Detroit Lions very clearly have the best offensive line here. And probably defensive line as well. And I don't think it's necessarily close, especially on the offensive side there. Man, like the Eagles still have some question marks there. We saw the line play better in the second half of that game without Jason Kelsey at the center position. Dallas, though, still has a lot of offensive line questions. We didn't really get to see it because Deshaun Watson was so bad on the other side of the field there. But, I mean, we got Jameson Williams coming on right now that kind of gives them another – extra weapon there they got montgomery they got jameer gibbs that they can tote the rock when they need to they can air it out when they need to as well I think eleven to one for the philadelphia eagles is a terrible price tag and I would not touch that with a ten foot pole seventeen to one for the dallas cowboys who haven't won shit in in in my entire lifetime I'm out on as well so I'm with you detroit lions here let's go pride here uh how do you feel about it steve Yeah, not to like this is I think the Lions have a good chance. I really do. I like them just fine. I would say personally of these three teams, the Philadelphia Eagles are the more likely team to me to go to the Super Bowl only because they played poorly against the Packers and still won. And it. The Packers are a good squad. Yeah, they're a good squad. They're a good squad. Like, their defense is suspect, right? And I don't expect Howie to sit on his hands and do nothing about that, right? Like, Devin White was out. He'll come back. I expect them to make a move for a cornerback, bolster that secondary. And then I think adding Saquon Barkley to that offense just made them so dynamic. I don't know if there's a defense in the NFL today that can really stop that offense. Even though Jalen Hurts is not my favorite player as a quarterback, I just – A.J. Brown, Devonta Smith, Dallas Gardner, Saquon Barkley. And then you just get into, like, the tertiary receivers. I think Johnny Wilson's a strong player. Like, it just – there's a lot of talent on that team. Okay. All right. I like to hear it, man. Kyle, any additional thoughts from you? I know you're still swinging and flying that Packers flag despite the Jordan Love injury. Yeah, I mean, obviously, I still think the Packers are going to go to the Super Bowl and win. But out of these three, I mean, I think it's going to be the Detroit Lions as well. But the Eagles would probably be my second choice. Never the Cowboys. I do think they're on an easier path. Can't trust them sons of bitches. What else we got on tap here for us, man? All right. We have a pretty fun scenario here. So you're on the clock in a twenty twenty five dynasty rookie draft and you need a quarterback. 2025 Dynasty Rookies: Shedeur Sanders vs. Carson Beck Would you rather have Shador Sanders or Carson Beck? Steve, I know you are itching to answer this question. We're going to go straight to you. Yeah, so for me, it's Carson Beck, and it's not particularly close. Just looking at the tape alone shows that Carson Beck is the more polished player, the more polished passer. He can read a defense. Listen, Shadur Sanders is talented, don't get me wrong, but you know what? He is so... I mean, literally a Nepo baby, right? That's what Shadurah Sanders is. That team is built around him and nothing else. It is Travis Hunter and Shadurah Sanders, and everything Deion does is to put him in a better light, make him look better. The stats are big when they play bad competition, but the problem is when they play good competition, Shadurah Sanders falls off a cliff. Listen, They played North Dakota State, okay? And they barely snuck out with a win. Like, this guy is not an elite prospect. Here was his splits last year. The first three games, they played against lower-tier teams. They played against three teams who all had losing records. He averaged four hundred and seventeen yards a game and a seventy-eight percent completion percentage. You're sitting there and saying, all right, so your case is dead. Nope, because the next seven games against competition that was better, his completion percentage dropped fifteen points down to sixty three and his yards per game dropped to two seventy from four seventeen. I mean, he dropped like one hundred and fifty passing yards a game. Like it's obvious that when the talent goes up, Shadur goes down. That doesn't happen to Carson Beck. He plays against the best and he processes that game very well. It's interesting. I think you bring up a great point that we have seen Shador kind of let down here against top competition. And it's tough because I don't know if he always has the line to protect him. And I didn't love how he kind of threw them under the bus after getting smoked by Nebraska, twenty eight to ten and linking over the weekend. Um, they, they were just about seven and a half point dogs in that. So to get blown out like that, it was not a great look for him. Does have about seven hundred passing yards, five TDs and two interceptions through two weeks of the season so far. Meanwhile, Beck, as you said, it's kind of been on his shit, you know, Georgia all the way back, despite losing Ladd McConkie, despite losing, uh, a generational tight end prospect in Brock Bowers, uh, five, you know, five hundred passing yards, form seven TDs, no T interceptions through the first two games here. But I think if week one told us anything about fantasy football in the NFL, we got to continue to chase the rushing upside. We got to continue to chase those Konami Code quarterbacks, man. You know how many rushing yards Shador Sanders has in his career? Because I do. Negative. It's like negative because he takes so many damn sacks. It's because in college, they count your sacks. We don't know what his rushing upside truly is. I feel like we know it on tape, but we don't know what Shador could do in the statistical standpoint, from a rushing perspective, just because he takes many sacks. Think of that from this perspective, right? He takes so many sacks that someone who's as athletic as he is, which he's not an elite athlete, right? He's not Anthony Richardson, Lamar Jackson, Jaden Daniels, right? He can run, right? He can run. He's Justin Fields. No, he's not. No, he's not. He's not Justin Fields. That's the thing. No, he's not. And he takes so many sacks that his rushing numbers are negative. Negative. That's a lot of sacks that he takes. People want to point to his interceptions being low. It's because he takes sacks rather than throwing interceptions, which are killers. Yeah, only three interceptions last season. Already two through week two here of the college football season. Eric, how do you feel about this? I think there's a lot of people who might go back in time a couple of months ago and maybe pick Jayden Daniels over Caleb Williams. But again, we're just one week through the NFL season, but the rushing floor is always something I'm attracted to, especially from a dynasty lens. Yeah. What I will say is that sure. Sanders is not the prospect that Jayden, Jayden McDaniels is right. Like, You know, there's obviously a lot of excitement around him and around his prospects at the next level, but I'm a little bit closer to Steve's side of the spectrum here, right? Like, there are so many open questions about, you know, how that game transitions, about what type of circumstance he's going to fall into, whether or not he'll be set up for success, right? Like... know it's it's not a a foregone conclusion that he's not going to be successful at the nfl level but I I think with you know with with carson beck there are just so many more uh it's such a cleaner projection in terms of how he transitions to the nfl level to where if I need a quarterback and I'm using that first overall pick in superflex I'm probably going to go with the more known quantity or at least the one that I've got a better line of sight to how they they can transition up to the pro ranks I thought we were going to get Shador Sanders as a Dallas Cowboy. It was all going to come together so perfectly. And then, of course, Jerry. Hey, always waiting out for the best deal. Always waiting out, holding that leverage. Ends up signing the richest contract in history. Dak Prescott did right before week one opened. So, you know, Jerry, always getting the leverage over on people. Had to wait on that one. Yeah, I totally understand, though. I totally understand the trepidation. You guys know me, though. I'm going to go big. I'm going to go big or go home. Kyle, back to you here, man. What else do we have for Would You Rather? How To Spend Fall Saturday Mornings Yeah, so we have some fun fall-themed questions as well. Would you rather spend your fall Saturday morning golfing with the crew, doing a Halloween or scary movie marathon, go for a walk in the woods, or get a nice fall-themed drink at a nice little cafe? Seth? How are you spending your fall morning? Yeah, so if you guys have watched this program for any amount of time, or if you're new, welcome. I'm not a guy who drinks caffeine. And instead, give me a bush light at eight a.m. Let's bomb some of those. Let's hit some fucking balls down the middle. McMillan, baby. That's you know, I golf with the crew this this past weekend. It was great. I woke up at six fifteen. I never wake up at six fifteen. But when golf's on the mind and you got a couple cold bush light sitting there in the cooler ready to go, I'm ready to go as well. So no doubt about it. Yeah. No. Here has to go golfing. Yeah, no doubt about it for me. I'm golfing with the crew, baby. Steve, what about yourself, man? I know you're quite the movie guy, but is there anything better than golfing? Right. It's kind of the fog's coming up. The dew's still a little bit wet and vibes are high out there, especially on a fall Saturday morning. Listen, you won't catch me knocking golf. I love to go golfing with my boys. But you know what? Like if I get to curl up with my boyfriend and snuggle up on a nice crisp fall day and watch some scary movies like, hey, what? Like that's the vibes have never been higher. Right. Like, you know, that's sure. You know, like that. I mean, what do I even have to say about that? Like, look around me, right? Like, I got, like, you know, the Nightmare Before Christmas here. I got some Jack Skellington. I'm a Halloween guy. I tattoo Halloween on my body. I love anything spooky and scary. I am a Halloween movie nut. So that's what I would take all day, every day. Snuggle up with my man and watch some scary shit. Eric, how do you feel about it? I feel like every time, at least two out of three times I talk to you on the phone, you are heading down to the local CAF to grab yourself a potential caffeinated beverage. That is very true. Honestly, two out of three might be giving me a little bit more latitude. But I feel like we have a question along these lines every single year, and it's really just meant to expose me. Y'all can miss me on this pumpkin shit. I am not here for pumpkin-flavored anything. So if it was just as simple as go get any type of caffeinated beverage from a cafe, probably going to lean towards that one pretty cleanly. Right there with Steve, love a good scary movie. I'm actually going to disqualify this one on a bit of a technicality, though. I feel like it's a little bit more of an evening kind of mood than a Saturday morning kind of vibe. Not to nitpick, but nonetheless, that one's off the list. If I'm going to go outside, I'm going to go swing some stick with the bros. Saturday is for the boys. If nothing else, I am a terrible enough golfer to where a golf outing with my boys could damn near take nine hours. I rarely get that kind of hall pass around. Being able to go stumble around for the better part of a full day is hard for me to pass up. Let's go golf. The morning was a big caveat. Yeah. says the guy doesn't get a hall pass just spent the weekend in vegas all right fair fair enough fair enough had to turn in had to turn in a lot of equity for that one yeah probably the same amount as uh spending the weekend with us out in canton for the fantasy football expo as well but uh kyle where are you at on this one man I know you're a lover of golf movies and uh I don't think fall themed drinks but you do like a lot of tea I know I do. I like all of these things. This is probably one of the harder questions you've come up with. But like Eric, I was going to mention that is an evening activity watching a movie marathon, I think, in general. I don't think you start a movie marathon in the morning. Unless it's Rocky. Rocky, that's the only one. Stop it. How do you marathon a movie? It's a marathon. That means it's going to take all day. It's a marathon. Yeah, you can do a marathon. It's a run. Yeah. It's a run, right? Like, it has to be at least three movies. You can start at noon. Yeah. Like, all right. I mean, I guess if it was evening, I'd like to curl up. I'll amend my statement and say I'd rather go out with my boys first thing in the morning and hit some. There you go. There you go. All right, Kyle. But at night, I will tell you, like, the vibes are never higher, though, than when you're curled up. with the person you love watching scary movies. That is the ultimate, like that's date night, right? Like that's what you do. we don't watch her scary moves over here. Let Kali answer the damn question here. Kyle, what are you doing here? Saturday mornings, fall. Uh, I mean, golfing with the boys, of course I'm in this foursome as well. Uh, but that's not my pick. Uh, my girlfriend works at a coffee shop. So, you know, if she's there, I'm there getting a fall themed bevy, you know, maybe a PSL, you know, maybe a nice little tea, but, uh, I would love to do any of these things, and I'm open to it. I'm PSL girly all the way. I like it. I'll keep you to that word. Maybe I'll have to get you down here for a little golf outing here this fall, Kyle. Round us out, man. One more final question for Would You Rather before we get to the great people's questions in the chat. For sure. We have a movie question. September Blockbusters I know we're all movie buffs here, movie aficionados, cinephiles. That's not... Easy. He is in his own way. Would you rather watch Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the sequel to the eighties cult classic, arguably classic. It's a classic. The spirits have the spirits of a deceased couple are harassed by an unbearable family that has moved into their home and hire a malicious spirit to drive them out. Michael Keaton's back Winona Ryder's back Jenna Ortega's in it there's a lot of buzz I didn't know Jenna Ortega was in that that's a cast Transformers one which is the untold story of Optimus Prime and Megatron better known as sworn enemies ones where friends bonded like brothers who changed the fate of Cybertron forever That's the IMDB description, by the way. Wild robot. After a shipwreck, an intelligent robot called Roz is stranded on an uninhabited island. To survive the harsh environment, Roz bonds with the island's animals and cares for an orphaned baby goose. Aww. And finally, Seeking Mavis Beacon, which investigates the disappearance and reexamines the legacy of one of the most influential black women in technology. That's a documentary. Fuck yeah. Steve has a lot to say just by his body language. Take the stage, please. All right, so I can actually rank these in order of what I would want to see. And this is just my opinion. It's Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice number one, right? Because I'm a huge fan of the original. Michael Keaton's back. um general ortega has been added to the cast catherine o'hare is back for the for the sequel I'm like sign me up I was there I won't lie I've already seen it so like sorry um but that was my first one then it's wild robot for me because this cast is this is like first off like if you have kids you should take them to see this movie has a really good message and has a really strong like performance behind it but listen to this cast that they brought in for the voiceover work for this movie um not only do we have Bill Nighy who is Davy Jones from the Pirates of the Caribbean we have Pedro Pascal you know yeah yeah that's daddy right there Mark Hamill for all you Star Wars fans out there that's Luke Skywalker Matt Barry for you what we do in the shadows fans uh that is um What's his name? Laszlo. And then Kit Conner for all you Heartstopper stans out there. That is... That's Nick Nelson from Heartstopper. That's five people who are just absolutely crushing it right now in this movie. And it's... The animation looks so cute. It looks like it has a really strong message. That's where I would go number two. After that, I would say Seeking Mavis Beacon. That sounds interesting. It sounds like it has like a, you know, it's fine. It's a documentary, which I'm not a huge fan of, but whatever. After that, Transformers one, Transformers one, why it even got a theatrical release is beyond me. And I'm so, oh my God, I'm so fucking sick of these. Like, why are we getting, and I'm going to say this too, because like they don't sponsor us. So fuck them. Like, Disney did this with Mufasa, too, like these sworn enemies, and then they had to do this prequel where they were best friends. Fuck that. Give me people who came out of the womb and were like, hey, you're a fucking asshole. I don't like you. That's the prequel I want. I want Optimus Prime to be crossing the street one day and just look at Megatron and be like... I don't like the way you looked at me. And that's what set the whole thing in motion. I don't care what it was. Having to steal his girlfriend. What on earth could have set this off if they were best friends? Like, oh, we're going through truck stuff together. You stole my muffler. What the fuck is going to happen in this movie? What a fucking waste of time. Honestly, that feels like that's been the Transformers franchise the last five. I mean, listen, you came out of the bat. You came out of the gate swinging a hot bat. You had just, I feel like, a great cast. You had Megan Fox. You had the gentleman. Shia LaBeouf. Shia LaBeouf, I was going to say the gentleman from Even Stevens. So, yeah, Transformers, definitely not. You can miss me on that one. Not a Beetlejuice guy, so you can miss me on that one as well. I feel like Wild Robot looks awesome. Great cast, great animation. I think it's going to tug at my heartstrings a little bit too more. Oh, it's going to make me cry. Seeking Mavis Beacon, baby. Let's go. Everyone remembers fucking Mavis Beacon. Where'd she go? I want to know. I want to know what's going on. Can I ask, who is Mavis Beacon? She teaches typing. that's how I learned type brother yeah so it's a type it was an it was a typing course it was like one of the first like automated ai people and yeah she taught a typing class so erica wasn't that idiot paperclip the thing that did that oh you must be you must have a different program than me eric did you run mavis beacon are you running it back here with this documentary Yeah, definitely learned to type under the tutelage of Mavis Beacon with half of a manila folder over my fingers on the keyboard so that I couldn't watch where I was going. But nonetheless, no disrespect to Ms. Beacon herself. The clear answer is Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice. Seth, I have never lost as much respect for a person as I have when you said you are not a Beetlejuice person. It scared me as a kid. Phenomenal film at the original. And they are doing it justice with this reboot. They're bringing back a vast majority of the cast. Tim Burton is still at the helm of this project. He has such a distinctive style that I can't wait to actually get out there and go see it. We are on the fence as to whether or not our kids are too young to see it. They've already seen it. The original Beetlejuice for the second one is a little bit scarier. Not exactly sure if that's going to be enough to deter us from taking the whole gang out there. After that, I would say Seeking Mavis Beacon is probably the one that interests me the most, just because I'm a bit more of a documentary person. Wild Robot is the one that I will definitively see of the remaining three, because it's animated, and I have kids, and I like to be a blubbering mess inside of... Oh, I am so ready to sob over this movie. I can just tell it's going to be one of those ones. Can't do it. Can't do it. had enough bad stuff happen in my life I don't need any sad movies we don't we don't need another abe lincoln situation yeah yeah come on do you guys do you guys cry at movies still on the ropes a little bit a little bit I I don't like to watch sad movies because I don't like to cry honestly so yeah I that's an emotion I don't need to get from my movies kyle do you enjoy tearing up to a good flick or uh so you're going with wild robot or you're going a different direction here man Hey, man, I'll let the tears flow at a good movie. My guy. If that's what the movie wants me to do, I'll do it. Hey, man, I'll see Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice. Michael Keaton is a Pittsburgh legend. He's from here. I got to support our guys. Good point. Transformers One is probably one of the least interesting movies I've ever heard of. You can miss me with that shit. I don't want it. I don't care. I don't care who cares nobody about that no one cares no one cares this is the dumbest movie that maybe has ever been made it has no point to exist wild robot sounds awesome I would probably see that and seeking mavis beacon I'll watch that too uh but if I have to pick one like if it's in the theaters I would probably watch beetlejuice beetlejuice that seems more of a theater experience True. It's showtime. True. Good call out there from you guys. I appreciate the movie analysis, the football analysis, and the lifestyle analysis always. Let's go ahead and round out this long week two program. Already an hour and a half in. Apologize to everyone that we're keeping here and Kyle as well for editing this son of a bitch tomorrow. Let's round it out and hear folks a little from the forum. From the Forum: Fantasy Football Mailbag Let's hear what them boys here had to say Yeah, it's from the forum. Make sure you guys are checking out the Fantasy Football Advice Network. You can download the Fantasy Sports Advice Network app. Connect with myself. Connect with the IBT Media brand in general on there and all of our staff as well and the great community they're building. They've gamified that. So if you want to move up in the rankings, you got to interact. You got to ask people questions. It's a great platform. You can also download. the app or go to fancyfootballadvice.com. It's a great URL over there as well. We got Steel hanging out with us. What's up, Steel? Good to see you, buddy. All right, let's go ahead. We have some very patient people here, some questions here. Eric, coming to you with this first one. Listener Questions Question for you guys. Should I trade Rashad White for DK Metcalf? I currently have great running backs in Brees Hall, Isaiah Pacheco, and Bijan Robinson. Michael Pittman Jr. and Drake Lunding are his starting wide receivers, so he's looking to improve there. I'm taking this as a redraft question, but maybe not, though. I'm guessing that's Brian Robinson, too. Yeah, I was going to say, something's afoot here. This is either Brian Robinson or this is a dynasty question. It's Bijan and Brees, right? There's no way that you have both those players in redraft. um if if it is bijan and bruce then certainly I'm I'm happy to move away from rashad white because you're not you're not going to be starting him really ever right um I think steve will have a different opinion than I will on the strength of your wide receiver core honestly I think it's fine right like I think pitman saw a lot of volume uh relative to the nineteen passing attempts for anthony richardson like we detailed earlier I think there's gonna be more volume on the horizon for the Colts and Pittman should see plenty of it Drake London I think brighter days are ahead facing off against Joey Porter Jr is categorically one of the toughest matchups in all of the NFL and he is not going to be playing him at any point anywhere else in the season so Brighter days are ahead for both these guys. I mean, DK Metcalf is a fine acquisition, right? If you're at a point where you're starting three receivers, if you would drop DK Metcalf into your flex spot immediately, I think it's fine to make this deal overall. Yeah, I think I'm right there with you. It's a fine deal. I think it's a very even deal, but it's not necessarily something I'm running to do because I think the price for Rashad White likely goes up as the season progresses unless Bucky Irving is the real deal and just starts zapping a large portion of this backfield touches away from Zemir White. More running backs are going to get injured, and as long as Rashad White is not on that list, which he hasn't been so far in his career, knock on some wood there, I think the price goes up. No, I'm going to hold. I'm going to hold for now and see if I can't get a wide receiver one in return for a borderline RB one here. Steve, your thoughts. I'm sitting tight with Rashad White. Listen, I don't think DK Metcalf is that much of an upgrade on what you have already. I mean, maybe on Drake London because Drake London is just not it. But DK Metcalf also isn't really it. He's fine. He'll do good things one week and not so great things the next week. And he's tied to Geno Smith. It's not a him problem. It's just the situation he's in. I think Rashad White honestly would fetch you more than DK Metcalf. I think you should aim higher. or try to get two players for the price of one and maybe try to capitalize on some of the guys that we said don't panic on. Maybe someone is panicking on Keenan Allen, and you can go get Keenan Allen and another player and pair it up for Rashad White. I think that's the way I would go if you need to move Rashad White, but I'd rather roll out White, Hall, and Pacheco than Hall, Pacheco, and DK. That's just how I would feel about it. People come for the running backs, man. Don't worry on that, JJ. And JJ, I think you're a first-time listener here, so we appreciate you, buddy, as always. Good luck if you're a New York Giants fan. If you're still hanging around, JJ, let us know if that's Bijan or Brian because that's going to be determinative in the answer. And just to clarify, my position on DK was more so if he would be someone that you would be starting as a third wide receiver or as a flex, not necessarily replacing either of these guys with him. Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Good luck to you, JJ. It's going to be a tough season being a New York Giants fan, buddy. But hopefully us here at IBT can help it go a little bit smoother for you. We got Nani from over here on Twitch. Bigsby or Chandler looking for a pickup here at the running back position. Steve, where are you leaning? We got Tank Bigsby. Finally came out and showed us something. We haven't seen it from in his one full season in the NFL. Didn't love him as a prospect coming out of Auburn as well. He was definitely a tank. He definitely fits that name very well. At the same time, though, Ty Chandler actually had kind of a nice little game. Saw a little bit of action there in the receiving game. Took a little bit of workload off Aaron Jones' shoulders as well in the rushing game. I kind of like Chandler. Where do you land? I like – I mean, they're both fine. I'd say Tank Bigsby just because I think – If one's going to, like, usurp the starter for, like, significant touches, it'll probably be Tank Bixby. Nobody needs to usurp in Travis Etienne. Come on. Fishing on the ground, and then he's got that fumbling issue that seems to be creeping up on him. Yeah, that's a good point. That's a good point. Listen, I... Take everything I say with a grain of salt, right? I pounded the drum for Antonio Gibson for years, and I still will. But we watched him lose his job because he couldn't hold onto the ball, and he was explosive. It just happens. I think they want a more committee approach in Jacksonville, and I think that's just the way it's going to go. So that's where I land. Eric, split the difference here. For me, it's Bigsby. I have a ton of Travis ETN exposure, so it hurts my heart to say this out loud. We'll see you later, Seth. Steve and I will take it from here. Look, the point to underscore from Steve's analysis is that fumbling problem, right? Nothing will hamper your NFL career quite like putting the ball on the turf. And etn has shown a bit of a propensity to do that but the thing that's more troubling for me again as an etn manager is all through the course of the off season you get all these reports everyone's in the best shape of their life they're you know they've added fifteen pounds of muscle they're faster than they've ever been one of the reports that we saw coming out of jacksonville is they wanted to get tank pigs be more involved to try to keep travis etn fresh for the stretch run And right off the rip, the very first game, they split snaps and attempts evenly. Thirteen snaps, twelve attempts for both Travis Etienne and Tank Bigsby. I think he's got more of a baseline role. And like we mentioned, the implied value is through the roof because it's a much better offense with Jacksonville than what we'll see out of the Raiders. Awesome. Awesome. Well, I appreciate that analysis, even though I'm the wrong side of the fence here, guys. I appreciate that question from Nani as well, watching over on Twitch. And we got our guy Lupe Gonzalez. I love that name. Lupe. I love it. All right. Thanks for tuning in, man. We appreciate you. Full PPR. Should I pick up Dobbins off of waivers and give up Zeke and also get off waivers Jaden Reed and pick up and give up JSN? All right. So kind of a shallow league here, probably from our guy Lupe here. I, I, I personally, I, I mean, I, I, I see Zeke and Dobbins kind of as similar. So I personally wouldn't go out and spend a shit ton of fab or your waiver priority there. And, I mean, Jaden Reed is going to be tough to plug in your line up these next four or five weeks, I think, without our guy Jordan Love back there as well. And I'm not giving up on Jason. Never. That's my ride or die, baby. So, Lupe, I'm biased as fuck here. So, I'll turn it over to Eric. Do you have any better analysis than I do for Lupe? Okay. yeah this this one's tricky right like I I certainly want to acquire dobbins and jaden reed but not at the cost of dropping either of these two these two players right um you know for for me I would I would ask if you're still hanging around to let us know if there are any other players on the back end of your roster if you have a backup tight end a backup kicker a backup quarterback a backup defense like these are all players that you can let go Is there somebody that's maybe heading to IR to where you can add one of these players without dropping either of these two? Because with JSN and with Zeke, these are guys that I think can add value to your opponent's roster if you drop them out to the wire to them. Yeah. Where do you stand on this, Steve? I'm like Eric. I'm like, there has to be something else you can drop. But then again, maybe not. This seems like a shallow league, so there may not be anything... better to drop so I mean I I would say drop if someone said rest of season who do I got I'd get both those guys ahead of uh I have dobbins and reed ahead of jsn and zeke um because if dobbins if and this is the biggest if I've dropped all night if dobbins stays healthy He was so much better than Gus Edwards. It wasn't even funny. So Harbaugh knows how to run the ball. He knows how to scheme a good run game. There's opportunity there. I don't know if the opportunity is quite there for Zeke. Yeah, it looked like a pretty fifty-fifty split there. So we'll have to see. But Dalvin Cook's also coming into the fold. Yeah, we'll see. We'll see about old Dalvin. Charles saying, what's up, IOT fam? Good to see you, Chuck. We appreciate you, buddy. Excited to hang out with you again on Thursday night for the back road.
