RYAN? >> Reporter: NATASHA AND SIAFA, THE SUPERINTENDENT TELLS ME A TEACHER SMELLED AN ODOR IN HER CLASSROOM AND ONCE LUMBERTON MIDDLE SCHOOL AND BOBBY'S RUN ELEMENTARY WERE TESTED WE'RE TOLD THAT 26 CLASSROOMS CAME BACK POSITIVE FOR MOLD, AND NOW MANY TEACHERS, MANY PARENTS, RATHER, HAVE A LOT OF QUESTIONS FOR THE SCHOOL DISTRICT. ONLY TWO WEEKS INTO THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR, STUDENTS AT LUMBERTON MIDDLE SCHOOL ARE SHUFFLING THEIR SCHEDULES AND SHIFTING TO ONLINE LEARNING AT HOME. AFTER THE DISTRICT SAYS MOLD WAS FOUND INSIDE 16 CLASSROOMS. >> MY BIGGEST CONCERN IS I WANT TO KNOW WHAT TYPE OF MOLD. WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE HEALTH CONCERNS I HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT WITH MY CHILDREN. >> Reporter: STEPHANIE'S DAUGHTER IS EIGHTH GRADE AMONG THE PARENTS NOTIFIED WEDNESDAY ABOUT THE MOLD ISSUES INSIDE LUMBERTON MIDDLE AS WELL AS MOLD FOUND INSIDE 10 CLASSROOMS AT BOBBY RUN ELEMENTARY WHICH IS CONNECTED TO THE MIDDLE SCHOOL. >> WE SHARE THE SAME AIR. THEY SHARE THE SAME HEAT. SO IF THE MOLD IS -- HAS SPORES, WHERE IT'S AIRBORNE, IT'S GOING TO GO THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE SCHOOL EVEN FASTER. >> WE TOOK A REALLY TARGETED, SAVE RESPONSE. WE KEPT SAFETY AT THE FOREFRONT OF OUR MINDS. >> Reporter: LUMBERTON SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT COLLEEN MURRAY TELLS CBS NEWS PHILADELPHIA THE IMPACT TO CLASSROOMS IN BOTH SCHOOLS HAVE BEEN CLOSED. ALL MIDDLE SCHOOLERS ARE NOW LEARNING REMOTELY. AS FOR BOBBY'S RUN -- >> WE'VE TAKEN THE TEACHERS AND THE STUDENTS FROM THE AFFECTED CLASSROOMS THAT IN BOBBY'S RUN AND MOVED THEM TO THE UNAFFECTED CLASSROOMS IN THE THE MIDDLE SCHOOL. >> Reporter: PARENTS ARE BEING TOLD THESE CHANGES COULD LAST FOR ABOUT TWO WEEKS BUT SHE WANTS BOTH SCHOOLS CLOSED COMPLETELY UNTIL THE MOLD REMEDIATION IS FINISHED. >> THAT'S MY CHILD, AND I'D RATHER BE INCONVENIENCED WITH HAVING TO HAVE MY CHILD HOME FOR A FEW WEEKS THAN RISKING AN UPPER RESPIRATORY INFECTION. >> Reporter: AND THE SUPERINTENDENT TELLS ME THAT MOLD REMEDIATION BEGAN THIS AFTERNOON AND THAT TWO-WEEK TIMELINE TO GET EVERYBODY BACK IN BOTH BUILDINGS SHE SAYS IS REALISTIC.
