days he knows everything in the world is at stake this season listen why do you say there's pressure on you well I think if uh if I don't do what I know I'm capable doing we're all probably going to most uh that's probably the one thing I've agreed with Aaron Rogers on um listen here this is what we expected when he got here the pressure was on they have one objective it's to win a Super Bowl that's it that's why they put everything in the middle of the table and he is coming off in Achilles he understands that a lot of people doubt him listen even the cynic and me still wants to believe in this team people from Green Bay across the NFL think I'm crazy for having any belief in this team but there's something the best thing about Aaron Rogers is the minute you you think he can't do something the minute you think he's washed okay back to back MVPs yes it's been a minute yes he's going to be 41 years old I see I see the skepticism over here but listen we were excited about this team last year right and they've upgraded at Key position look the Packers decided he was done Once Upon a Time and they drafted as a apparent and he rebounded and had back-to-back MVP Seasons all a lot of time has passed since then the major injury has passed since then we all understand that but this is what they're counting on RG3 you're a quarterback how do you see it what you hear what he says what do you think yeah greeny when I hear this I absolutely love hear hearing this side of Aaron roders like let's get rid of all the conspiracy theories let's stop talking about the vice presidential runs and let's get to the football of it and on the football field I trust Aaron Rodgers because his worst year his quote unquote off year is a career year for most other quarterbacks and I don't think he really has to save the Jets season to be honest with you greeny I just think he has to be out there he's got a top five defense he's got a remade offensive line and playmakers all around him the one thing that Aaron Rogers loves to do is prove people wrong he has a lot of doubters but even more than that he loves his teammates and he loves his coaches those coaches that he loves their jobs are on the line the game that he loves is nearing an end for him so I'm excited for the Jets fans because I think this year they will finally start to reap some of the benefits and the Joy from all of the turmoil they've been through over the last decade plus I disagree with Robert on one point oh I want to see MVP Aaron Rogers I don't think Aaron Rogers Aaron Rogers is being on the field is key but it but when you think about the AFC when as a whole we are looking at CJ strad we are looking at Lamar Jackson and Joe burrow Joe burrow is going to come back looking to prove that he's still that dude I haven't even gotten to Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen so it he needs to be more than just out there the reason I keep saying this is a high variance outcome is Aaron Rogers hasn't played good football in three years that's like 300 years in the NFL that is a long time AG go Tyron Smith a really good left tackle hasn't played a full season since 2015 and Mike Williams who's an a receiver has played 16 games in two years so if those three players play to their ability we're talking about a deep playoff Super Bowl run but you're an ESPN bet guy greeny like what are reports that the New York Jets were looking during this off season to replace their much maligned offense of coordinator Nathaniel Hackett who is very much connected to Rogers head coach Robert Salah was asked about that yesterday and this is how he chose to handle it there was a report that you guys uh legitimately tried to hire someone who would replace Naeli what was the thinking there uh I I addressed all that stuff at the owner's meeting so I'm not going to rehash that was a report last week it was rehashed from the owner's meeting boy do I hate that answer I mean that's a it's a I mean he didn't he didn't someone say something I mean he here's the problem with Robert salah's reaction we are we're in New York like you these reports are out you got to come out there and say that's my guy hack it full confidence to hack it we all could have done better we're we're in this together and instead he looks like a guy who wants to say yeah he's still on the coaching staff because our quarterback wants him what do you want from me that's how it comes off and that's why he he should have picked some different talking points or maybe a talking point give me the it starts with me right Mike give me the starts with me look I've been on the other side of that Podium for a long time and interview Kmart's exactly right in New York you got to be strong I believe in Nathaniel hacket be clear here we all know that the Jets coaching staff will get fired if they don't win this year that's the that's the truth that's just the fact of the matter and I think it'll actually grow them closer guys I think it'll grow them closer because they all know they're either all going down with the ship or they're all riding off into the sunset so all of their chips are in on Aaron roders and when you have Aaron Rogers on your roster an expectation of winning comes with it and we all know the only way to get off the hot seat is to win games I just wish Salah had handled that a little bit better but we all understand the the amount of pressure that they're under being uh they're being New York now they just got to deliver yeah Robert Salah understands that th this season is critical for his future and he looks like a guy who is already thinking about that pressure and that to me is what worries me Cu uh RG saying RG3 saying everybody's going to be oh we're all going to go down together when things start to go south no no no no no people start swimming on their own looking for their own life rest to save themselves trust me with this organization trust me so that's the
