and he's going to have to eat this one as down he goes outside of a turnover this was probably the worst case scenario immediate pressure in his face with nowhere to go with the ball down field just get the ball out of your hand Live to play another down instead he Retreats backwards and leads to a massive loss from the gun on third down here's Levis this throw right side taken in by Ridley as a route Runner W you identify Zone coverage like they were playing here the key is find open space and stay in it he did a nice job here cuz that was not a big hole the quarterback had to put a little extra on that one and they were able to make the completion on fourth down they'll turn to Ryan Stonehouse here to punt and back deep is Devon du to return and no return forthcoming it's a Touchback and will come out to the 20 yd [Applause] line so they come to the line for first down and 10 break to the air goes Lawrence there's a short one taken by Ingram so the hope is when you call these underneath drag routes you're trying to have your tight end come out the backside of the defense in space so when you put the ball on them early it leads to Big yards after the catch in this case they don't get the real big play they were hoping for but they'll definitely take [Applause] it now thousand yd rusher from a season ago Travis etn and he's going to pick up the first down that's a nice run taking it up past the 30yd line second down at these distances Mike you pretty much anticipate a pass and I think that's what the defense was lined up thinking in this case they leave a little too much room on the ground and the offense is able to pick up a first down they'll go back to etn on first down and a good run there it'll get him five yds [Applause] [Applause] second down lawen and the rush too strong they're in there in a Flash for the sack the best thing they did here Mike is keep their Rush Lane Integrity what that means is you have to rush the quarterback as a unit keep him in the pocket keep him on that X and when you do man he becomes a sit and duck for this pass [Applause] rush they put Strange In [Applause] Motion they go play action for Lawrence he'll let one go deep for Kirk that one is bed away incomplete no separation that time tightly defended it brings up fourth down now they told us this week they were going to try to come out fast and tell you what that's exactly what they did put immediate pressure on this secondary and let them know hey all game long today you better defend every blade of grass cuz we're coming out Fir and and even though that ball Falls incomplete it goes a long way in setting up the rest of this game plan as the game unfolds the Titans offense ready to get going with their second possession they'll search for the first points of this game as as they begin the drive on First and 10 out of the shotgun Lis after the catch he gets that forward for a gain of nine second and a yard they'll run it with Tony Po and he'll be taken down that's going to do it that's the last play of the first quarter so that'll do it for a fast moving first quarter of play nothing nothing is the score we'll have more from Jacksonville after this set to go now on First and 10 to throw is Levis quick throw out wide it's caught the'll Mark him down up at the 44 yd line First Catch for him on the afternoon and it results in a first down every once in a while it just comes down to you need somebody in the Huddle to just make a play and it wasn't a whole lot fancy here the quarterback just dumps the ball down a quick underneath completion and then really it's the yards after catch that did the rest and that's what it takes you're not always going to have the perfect play you're not always going to dial up the perfect play against the perfect look sometimes players need to make plays and that was a good one there throwing on second down L catch made that's boy and they'll get about eight out of that one but still a little work to do now on third down so they have these rules for the receivers Mike they call them green grass rules and the idea is if you're running across the field and you're looking at the quarterback you're going to stay on the Run if you're not looking at the quarterback that tells him I'm going to sit in this soft zone I'm going to what they call punch and pivot and stop and that tells the quarterback to put the ball on your chest that nonverbal communication between the receiver and the quarterback recognizing when you're open stay open that's the stuff that makes a lot of these offenses so difficult to defend on first and 10 here's Levis quickly to the outside and complete he's going to be taken down at about the 30 that's a pair of hookups on this drive this one goes for 14 yds and a first down [Applause] from the gun it's Levis that one incomplete they can hook up there and that incompletion takes us to the two-minute warning up until that incompletion they've done a really nice job on this drive Mike picking up fresh sets of downs and typically throwing the ball on first down is a a great way to do it it's actually the easiest down in football to operate in but now they find themselves in second and 10 do you keep it in the air and try to get the first down here or is the idea to just make third down manageable and take your chances picking up a key third down when you put plays like this on tape it sends a message to every Defender across the league when you play this offense and this guy has the ball you better bring it when you come to contact him cuz if not you're going to be on the wrong end that's complete he got it to Hopkins and he's going to have the first down it is a gain of six good conversion on third down and this is the blueprint Mike the ability to sustain and maintain possession and methodically move the ball down the field in the process they've been in complete control they've been able to dictate what they want to do offensively and make the defense react the defense has had no answers up until this point and now the next step is can they come away with six because anything less than that after this long drive would be a bit of a let down so as halim looms Mike they have to find a way to capitalize on this drive right here and make sure they end the half with some sort of points now that incompletion not ideal but at the very least it stops the clock catch your breath get back in the Huddle and this next play it's got to be a got a best play call that's catch three just on this drive and it gets his team a first down and really the key to this play was just how fast he was able to get through his progressions his mind was able to process and go from one to two to three so quickly that he was able to get the ball to the right Target on time and I think so often those two things are different being open and he's in Calvin Ridley touch down [Applause] Tennessee the veteran Nick Folk here for the extra point it's up and through and the Titans will take a seven nothing lead still a little time final minute of this first half we'll see if they can do anything with this kickoff that is coming their [Applause] way a good return as he takes it across the 30 the Jaguars offense going to take over here in the final minute of this first half they'll be hoping to match that touchdown from a moment ago s nothing our score as this drive begins with a first [Applause] down working out of the gun it's Lawrence to the right side and KK got the Jaguars offense going to take over just before the half they've got great starting position with a short field as they try to get back in this one it is first and [Applause] 10 from the shot gun it's Lawrence that's to the right side and incomplete Evan Ingram the intended target and it'll be second down they've been a little up and down in this first half I mean they have less than 80 yards of total offense and halftime Loom so miss throws like that those are missed opportunities they've got to hit the plays when they have them they want to have a chance to leave here with a win he'll get this complete over the Middle with Kirk and nice work there after the catch he's a little short of the first down after a gain of seven [Applause] they'll come up to Third and [Applause] three Lawrence now open man is Davis nice job here by the defense did a good job just covering up everything for the most part so once this ball was caught really didn't have much of a choice but to just head out of bounds and pick up a modest game here's Logan cook now as they'll say no to the long field goal and hope to pin them [Music] deep the Titans offense going to get it one last time here late in the opening half they lead it here in the second quarter seven nothing as they begin with a first and 10 and they're just going to run it here up the middle and a nice run get him about nine it'll bring up second down just the lone touchdown in that first half of Action 7 nothing is our score as we we head down state to Orlando and we'll check in with Jonathan Coachman who's got our EA Sports halftime report here comes a return from the five and it'll be brought down past the 25 decent field position to start this drive the Jaguars offense looking to get back to work as we begin this third quarter they Trail here by a touchdown as this drive will start with a first down [Applause] to throw is Lawrence got his man it's Kirk after the catch he gets that forward for a gain of nine it takes a certain guy in that slop position to be willing and able to go across the middle of the defense on those in-breaking routes you can tell this guy he doesn't care he is fearless going across the middle and he's able to secure a nice [Applause] catch play action now it's Lawrence and he'll be brought down after a short pickup but that is enough for a first down receiver just finds himself in a really nice Groove and there's these weird times in the game Mike where it just seems like every ball comes your way every play they call your wide open and you just find yourself in one of those grooves that athletes talk about so they got to continue to ride the hot hand cuz right now on that field there's no mistaking who it is that caught by Davis it's a pickup of 12 first down Jacksonville it's pretty evident Mike when a quarterback and his wide receiver are operating on the exact same page the anticipation the timing the accuracy of the both the route and the ball and when they're working together like this that's the definition of teach tape here's a designed run he's going nowhere and to lose yardage on that play trying to catch the defense off guard with this designed quarterback run doesn't go down for a sack but either way defense was ready for it able to bring the quarterback down for a loss so they go backwards on first down here's second and 13 now Lawrence he's got that to the rookie first round pick Brian Thomas first time they've looked his way all game long but he comes through with the grab and a first down he spend so much time talking about these receivers how fast do they run Mike how high do they jump but so often the guys that have the most success in the NFL it's the mental part of the game it allows them to create separation find soft spots in the defense attack Defenders it's exactly what he's able to do here and really nice connection great example of first down efficiency you don't always have to go for the big play but put yourself in a friendly second down now you have equal opportunity to both run and pass here's second and three to go in motion comes Thomas now second down throw for Lawrence and he will score ran Thomas touchdown Jaguars Cam little comes on now for the extra [Applause] point his kick is good and the Jaguars will level things out at seven a piece we all time seven a piece and the kicks away on the return here's Taj Spears and he'll work this one past the 25 to right about the 28 yd line the Titans offense getting ready for Bear opening possession of this second half we'll try to break out of this deadlock we are all even at seven as they start this drive first and 10 here's Levis thr over the middle brought in by Hopkins here's a second and three fourth coming throwing is Levis connecting with his tight end doono he'll be out of bounds but after picking up the first down on a gain of seven nothing a quarterback loves more Mike than being able to pick up a first down without being forced to push the ball down field and force it past the line to gain he settles for the underneath check down he's confident that his receiver is going to pick up the rest after the catch in trouble and he's going to be taken down defense came out in a soft Zone and I think it caught the quarterback a little off guard he was trying to attack them downfield by the time he was able to get through his progression to his check down he ran out of time and that's all the pass rush needed to get into the back field and bring him down on second down here's hly he'll be stopped after a pickup of about three Devin Lloyd the linebacker there to stop him third and long here's Levis he's got his man right side it's complete and he will finally be taken down how about that a really big play as the final one here in the third they'll come up here first and 10 now Levis that's to the endzone but they can't connect it's incomplete DeAndre Hopkins was the intended target for that one and it'll lead to a second down that's one he'd love to have back an opportunity to score six was right there for the taking just wasn't quite meant to be Hopkins sent in motion on second down Lis whoa looking middle and he's got Ridley it may not have moved the chain but with what they were dealing with there on second down that's a really nice pickup cuz now it opens up your play call sheet on third down where it's a little bit more manageable here's third down and a few inches the tight end okono is in motion he's got it at the three and he is out of bounds it's going to be first down though first and goal at the two offensively Landing a lot of body blows on this drive Mike just the ability to steadily March the ball down field and remain so efficient both run and pass as they continue to wear this defense out they have to find a way to end this drive with points anything short of that this is caught toward the side of the end zone Calvin Ridley touchdown Titans two touchdowns for him now on the afternoon Greg every touchdown counts the same but the ones you get in the fourth quarter they are the ones that feel a little more important yeah now that pressure shifts to your defense def your offense was able to go out and get the lead here late does your defense have enough left in them to get one more stop so the lead is seven now here in this fourth quarter the tie has been broken let's see what happens on this [Applause] kickoff he'll get this up to the 28 yd line nice place for the drive to start here comes the Jacksonville offense now heading back onto the field they'll start out first down and 10 [Applause] [Applause] back to throw Lawrence now a screen set up for etn ah they smelled the screen and took care of it blown up in the back field well the best screen plays of course you want the offensive lineman out in front of the running back they act as his escort his lead blockers but what you can't afford is for the Defenders to be in the back field and get to the running back cuz those offensive linemen they they can't help him at all in the pistol here's Lawrence there's a short one taken by Ingram and they will bring him down on the other side of Midfield wow how dangerous after the catch that one goes for 27 yds in all these Crossing concepts are frequently used Mike throughout the entire game all across the league and what it does is it creates a lot of natural rubs you run out the backside of the defense and rely heavily on the yards after the catch and it's exactly how they're able to pick up this big game this one is caught by Kirk and he'll be taken down as the clock kicks towards two minutes to play give him 10 more on that one just enough for another first down [Applause] they'll drop to throw that's over the middle to the tight end Ingram and he's going to be taken down and that will take us to the two minute warning that's 13 more on that play and quickly another another first down throwing is Lawrence and that could be the dagger it's intercepted that's the linebacker Jack Gibbons first and 10 moving the tight end right they'll give it to Pard to start this round and that's the way you want to run it on first down a gain of [Applause] seven they'll run once more and it's powered again and he's going to be taken down on the other side of the 50 yd line [Applause] the defense still with all three timeouts at their disposal as the quarterbacks down to a KNE [Applause] second and 11 Victory formation here as he's down to a knee Rock [Applause] so this one a win for the visiting Titans they're able to get the job done in front of a hostile crowd as they come away
