2024 ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE GAME BY GAME PREDICTION - COLLEGE FOOTBALL

all right it's time for another preview and prediction video a game by- game prediction for the 2024 college football season and y'all might as well go ahead and get ready tight T tyght Ty uh because up today green bow that's right the Alabama Crimson Tide we're going to go through their schedule game by game and I'm going to give you a winner and a loser for every single week we'll start off by taking a look at the offense and the defense and of course a brand new coaching staff with kayin deore we'll see what they lost from last year what comes back what they brought in through recruiting and portal uh and then we'll throw the schedule up and I'm going to give you a uh not just an overall record but a win and a loss for every single game on Alabama's schedule uh shout out to a lot of the description for the patreon page all right here we go Alabama 2024 of course the big storyline for Alabama Sabin out kayin dor in Nick SA for my money the greatest college football coach of all time it is hard to debate anything in different eras right so you try to say like you know for example is 2019 LSU better than some random team that won the national title in the TW in in the 1970s or something and it can be hard to debate that I I guess coaches can be the same way if there you know I guess there's some arguments to be made for some coaches from 40 50 60 70 years ago but you know to me Nick SA the greatest college football coach of all time definitely the greatest college football coach in my lifetime uh he retires he steps down he's still kind of hanging around the program has an office there sort of part-time back and forth when his retirement home in Florida and sort of helping the transition uh to the kin debor era there at BAM I think the kin debor era was a good hire uh there was a lot of trolling a lot of kind of back and forth when the hire was made um I think it was a legitimate concern to have U on the outside look in bringing dor in the the recruiting angle so far he's hit that out of the park now this isn't a recruiting video I'm not going to get into that but Alabama seemingly has not missed a beat uh in terms of uh of uh recruiting now you know Nick Sabin had something like 14 number one classes in the last 17 years or whatever it was will theore repeat that you know probably not but he's got a top two or three class right now and as long as he continues to do that from a talent perspective Alabama is is going to be every bit as good as they were under Nick Sabin so haven't skipped a beat there in terms of recruiting uh dbor has had a lot of ex uh success at every level that he has coached at uh specifically Washington is what people have paid attention to that's where he's been the last couple of years of course undefeated regular season for them last year and then beating Oregon for the second time um in the Pack 12 title game earning a trip to the college football playoff where they defeated Texas in the first round before losing of course to Michigan in the national title game so kayin bore has got the pedigree he's got the resume he's got the background we're going to find out this year and over the next couple of years how all of that plays at Alabama and in the SEC but to anybody that kind of thought Alabama might just disappear or fall off the face of the earth when Sabin retired and that it didn't matter who they brought in might be a little bit disappointed do I think the boore or anyone else can live up to the the the sort of Nick Sabin bar no do I think uh kayin dbor is going to win five national titles in the next 10 years which is sa what something Sabin accomplished at Bama what did he win six and 12 or whatever it was no I I I don't think dor or anybody for that matter is likely to ever do that again doesn't mean dor is a bad coach uh he inherits obviously a really good situation in Alabama with all of the built-in advantages that you could possibly need as a head coach in terms of uh money and and administrative buyin and coaching salary and access to recruits and all of that kind of thing and I think he's going to do okay there how good well at the end of this video I'll tell you how good I think he's going to do this season all right all new staff like I mentioned new offensive coordinator new defensive coordinator we'll get into some of that in a second but let's start with the offensive side of the ball then we'll move to the defensive side of the ball before getting to the schedule all right when you look at the offense to me there's there's kind of a two things you start with and that's kayin dor and his offense and then Jaylen milro and his skill set and how does that fit in to what we have seen kayin dbor do in the past and this is a question that I've asked openly over the course of the off season uh when it comes to Alabama this year under kayin dor with Jayla milro at QB Jayla milro had a pretty good season last year but he's way better you know scrambling and and using his legs and things like that than he is a thrower I don't think there's even any Alabama fans that would classify Jaylen milro as sort of an elite passer of the football right he's he's he's not Michael pennick can he improve that part of his game under kayin dor I think he probably can here's another thing to remember about what we saw last year from Jaylen milro versus this year was his first year as a starter I mean lots of players get better from their first year to their second year right now do I think Jaylen milro will ever be sort of one of the best two or three passers of the football in college football no I don't but he's a really really good quarterback extremely dangerous with his legs my question is is kayin debor gonna tailor the Alabama offense around that specific skill set or does he try to force Jaylen milroe into the Michael pennick role at Washington from last year I obviously think Alabama would be better suited if kayin dor sort of optimized his offense around what Jayla milro does well and I have a feeling that that's what they're going to do for that reason and for a couple of other reasons number one I think Alabama could have the best running game in all of the SEC they've got three really really good running backs that if they wouldn't start they would definitely play at any other team in the country they would be in the rotation Justice Haynes comes to mind Jam Miller I think is another one's name but it's three really really good running backs that they can rotate in and out these guys can pound between the tackles they can get to the outside and take it to the house they really can do it all really really good running backs and I think they have a really good offensive line um it was a little surprising to me when I was researching for this video there's a there's you know I go to a lot of different places articles websites blogs things like that to read kind of what other people are saying about Alabama heading into the season and I found several that were questioning Alabama's offensive line and I have to say I don't understand that I think Alabama might have one of the best offensive lines in the SEC now I know that last year there was a lot made of Alabama's offensive line and the fact that it underperformed over the course of the Season as a whole and while I agree with that it was mostly the first half of the season um this time last year everybody was talking that you know Alabama's going to have the best line in football offensive line in football and then over the first five or six weeks look the offensive line didn't play well they didn't gel didn't work well together whatever it was it wasn't it wasn't great but it got significantly better as the season went along well with the exception of course of the center who couldn't manage to snap the ball which is the primary function of a center but the two biggest issues with Alabama's offensive line last year were inexperience which of course they gained over the course of the season and a center who couldn't snap the ball and he's gone he's transferred out so they've got a new center a lot of the other pieces are back and I think this is going to be a really really good offensive line you combine that with those three running backs that I talked about and Jaylen mil's ability to run the ball because look even the harshest jayen milro critics don't criticize his athleticism and his Mobility or his ability to run around extend plays and and you know he can hit a home run from 80 yards out with his legs okay I mean the guy is an unbelievable athlete no question about it with the ball in his hand you combine all of those things and I think Alabama could have one of the best running games in the country never mind just the SEC the question mark with Alabama to me outside of jayen mil's um development as a passer which I do think he'll get better this year than he was last year in terms of playing the position a quarterback reading going through his progressions making the reads making decisions when to throw it when not to throw it that kind I think that kind of stuff will get better with a second year of experience the the biggest question I have about Alabama is really the same question I've had about them for the last couple of years which is their wide receivers the days of Alabama lining up and sending you know Devonte Smith and Jerry Judy and jayen Wad and Jameson Williams and these guys out at wide receiver those days are over for whatever reason whether it's because they've missed in the recruitment at that position or whether they just haven't recruited quite at that level that they did four five years back to stack that room with those guys they haven't had that type of player at wide receiver in several years now Ryan Williams a five-star freshman comes in normally at a place like Alabama that signs so many five stars and just Stacks Elite classes on top of each other you would look at a kid like Ryan Williams and go that's a future Superstar might not play a whole lot as freshman year because he's just buried on the depth chart but eventually this guy is going to be really really good well he might be really really good immediately because there's just no standout sort of true star at the wide receiver position for Alabama they do bring a kid in from Washington that is familiar with kayin the in that offense Jeremy Bernard and I think he'll do okay just CU you familiarity with the offense alone but that the Ryan Williams kid I think is going to play early and often I think he'll play a lot and it could turn out that he's already the best wide receiver on that team so I'm not I'm not knocking Alabama's wide receivers they're not poverty level obviously or anything like that they they're only let's say a good way to put why Alabama's wide receiver room right now is only down in comparison to what it was was 3 four 5 years ago when they had that run from basically 2017 to 2021 or so where they just had an unbelievable string of first and second round wide receivers you know like I just named Henry rugs jayen waddle uh Devonte Smith who won a Heisman Jameson Williams I mean on and on meie all those guys they don't have that it that's not to say that they don't have any wide receivers that are any good at all that can catch the ball but it you know if the bar for wide receivers at Bama was here three four five years ago it you know it's it's it's it's somewhere below that now so I think Ryan Williams could have a really big year even though he's a true freshman now you look over on the defensive side of the ball and I have more concerns or questions about Alabama defensively than I do offensively um for starters they just lost a ton off of that defense and again I know they recruited an extremely high level but a brand new coaching staff and not only that a brand new scheme as well Nick Sabin used to run a more traditional sort of Base 4-3 34 type defense they're switching that around now to the uh the 425 that's becoming really really popular Alabama has ran some 425 in the past but just wasn't their base defense and uh I found a couple of quotes that the new defensive coordinator the guy they got from South Alabama Kane wac has met with Sabin multiple times to get sort of sabin's input on where the existing players would fit in best in this new 425 scheme that they're running so I don't think Alabama defensively is going to fall off a cliff however they lost two corners to the NFL uh they lost two Elite pass rushers to the NFL they lost the best safety in the country Caleb DS to the transfer portal and they just have a lot of parts in pieces to replace you have to remember this is a team Alabama that lost 40 players off of last year's team that's almost half the scholarship players that were on Alabama's team last year are now gone either because of graduation NFL draft or portal 40 and you can tell me that a lot of those players maybe didn't start last year okay that that's fine but they would have started this year it's just sort of that's the progression at B A lot of those players just chose to leave with the coaching staff with Sab leaving things like that and it just seems to affect the the the the defensive side of the ball at least to my mind a little bit more than it did the offensive side of the ball and also you know kayin dbor is an offensive guy right Sabin was a defensive guy you sort of never had to worry about the Alabama defense it was just like are they going to be the best defense in the country or are they only going to be top five defense in the country that's probably going to be the situation with Alabama's offense going forward is it going to be the best offense in the country or is it just going to be a top five offense in the country it's never going to be bad and uh not that I think Alabama's defense will be bad this year or going forward under kayin dor but if you're going to ask me honestly do I think Alabama will have the type of defensive run over the next 10 years that they had the previous 10 with Sabin calling the shots no they my the answer is just no I mean I think sav's the greatest uh uh head coach in the history of college football I think he's one of the greatest defensive Minds in the history of college football and you can't lose that and not expect any drop off at all now Alabama is starting from the top of the mountain so you know falling a little bit is not the end of the world but I do think their defense could have some Growing Pains um in year one I know it's just a spring game but that's literally all we have to go on when you're talking about what Alabama will look like under kayin deor and the defense look completely lost um at a position missed tackles um lazy in some instances um again I I don't expect to see it during the season defensively exactly what I saw in the spring game I'm just telling but but that's just all we've seen so far so I do expect Alabama to take a step back defensively now they returned some key pieces on defensive well Keenan returns to the defensive line they've got Lawson and Campbell back at linebacker and even though they lost Caleb DS Malachi Moore is still there so they went from having like you know two of the top five safeties in all the college football to only having one of the top five safeties in college football with Malachi Moore so still hurts to lose Caleb DS but it's nice to know you got Malachi Moore um coming back still back there I think they're going to be good defensively I think they're going to be good offensively with the potential to be really good I'm curious on offense to see how close I'm curious to see if kayin dbor is GNA run the ball sort of you know mold his offense to fit the talent that's at Bama or if he tries to take the talent at Bama and make it fit his style that's what I'm curious about I do not think that jayen milro can be turned into Michael pennick this season so I'm curious if Jaylen milro or or if if that's what kayin deor is going to try to do offensively or if he looks around and goes you know what I got three NFL running backs a huge offensive line and a quarterback that can outrun everybody on the field let's just run the ball I think that's probably Alabama's best bet for success is to be more of a ground and pound running team this year um and then let milroe you know play action deep shots that kind of thing we'll see defensive I think there could be some issues for Bama um this season all right let's put the schedule up on the screen I'm going to go through it I'm going to give you a winner and a loser for every single week and again uh go ahead and get ready Ty uh with a type type type um before I talk about any of the games I've said this every single time I've done a prediction video for any SEC team I don't think any SEC team's going undefeated so if you're watching this and you're an Alabama fan and you know you're you know you're like unless this guy say going 100 and I'm not watching this crap then you don't have to watch it I I don't think anybody's going 100 and0 so I'm fixing a point out of law somewhere on here just telling you that now all right let's start with uh the teams I've already done prediction videos for because I know most of you watch all the prediction videos so you already know some of these wins and losses here all right I have done a prediction video let's just start with the first game and I'll I'll stop when I get to a team I've already done I've done South Carolina already ready all right you can see they play South Carolina there about halfway through the year um it's a home game for Bama Bama will beat South Carolina South Carolina's down bad I mean they're with the Florida Vandy Mississippi State crowd just not going to be a good season throw Arkansas in there too not going to be good Beamer could find himself on the hot seat they're not going into Tuscaloosa and winning bambo will beat South Carolina if you want more thoughts on that game go watch the South Carolina video I talk in more detail about it there the very next week on the road at Tennessee a big game for Alabama every year the whole third Saturday in October deal the cigar game it's a rivalry game right the last time babama played in Tennessee they lost in that unbelievable like whatever it was 52 to 50 or whatever the final score that thing ended up being one Bama missed a field goal at the end Tennessee made a field goal at the end game over um unbelievable back and forth type of uh just shootout of a game um again I've already done the Tennessee version of this video a Bama Beats Tennessee I like to Tennessee I think they're headed in the right direction in fact spoiler alert if you haven't seen the Tennessee video yet I have Tennessee at 10-2 a probable playoff team at 10- two have them with losses only to Bama and Georgia that's it um now in order for Tennessee to reach that expectation Nico is going to have to have a really good year so we'll see if that happens he's a first year starter I don't think I don't think Nico is beating B year one we'll see could be wrong it's a tough place to play I think it'll be a great game sort of giving Obama some benefit of the doubt there I think think they go into nean and get a big win on the road at Tennessee uh the next week Missouri uh tough back-to-back games here you're talking about probably two top 10 teams and before you start to [ __ ] on Missouri when I say top 10 I'm talking ranking do I think that Missouri is one of the best te 10 teams in the country no I don't but look at their schedule they're likely to be undefeated when this game is played okay so they're going to be ranked in the top 10 got to go on the road play Tennessee come back home play Missouri again I've done a Missouri video I think you beat him uh so so far losses on the road at LSU I've done the LSU version of this video I am down on LSU this year their win total sitting at nine or nine and a half I don't understand it at all they had one of the worst defenses I've ever seen LSU have last year and I can't see what they've done to improve it at all they brought some new coaches in but it's mostly the same players because they missed on every single uh portal player defensively that they went after on top of that they're going from Jaden Daniels to nus me offensively I I I just don't see it for LSU so similar to the tenness game it's a road game that's tough we all know that's tough I think Alabama finds a way to get that win there um so before you start getting mad at me I I'm giving Alabama some wins here that they could lose look it's not out of the realm of possibility that Alabama with a firste head coach and question marks in several key areas goes to Tennessee and loses I've got Alabama winning it's not out of the realm of possibility that you go to LSU and lose but I've got you winning I've also done the oklah version of this video yet another road game I haven't even talked about Wisconsin yet but we'll get to that in a minute but you know all at Wisconsin at Tennessee at LSU at Oklahoma you think you're winning all four of those I don't I've already done the Oklahoma video I think you lose on the road to Oklahoma I think you're a better team than Oklahoma I think if you played them 10 times you'd beat them seven or eight out of 10 but you don't play them 10 times I think if you played Texas 10 times last year you probably beat them seven or eight times out of 10 too but you don't play teams 10 times you play them once you go on the road and think you're losing to Oklahoma watch the Oklahoma video I go into that in detail and and tell you exactly why it is I'm picking Oklahoma to win there but to boil it down Oklahoma's got in my opinion two huge home games in a year one in the SEC for them their first SEC game of all time ever is like week four I think they host Tennessee I think they lose that game at home to tenness I think Tennessee goes into Norman and beats Oklahoma Oklahoma's second or other biggest home game is down here at the end of the year where they host Alabama I don't think Oklahoma's losing their two biggest home games of the year and before you [ __ ] on them or whatever you're a b fan if you're watching this what if someone's told you you were going to lose your two biggest home games of year I don't know how you'd feel about that but anyway I don't think Oklahoma's losing their two biggest home games of the year I think they lose to Tennessee early I think they beat Alabama late so that's one loss for Alabama on the road at OU all right now let's go through the schedule top to bottom and fill the rest of it in noncon games to start off the season you got two of them at home against Western Kentucky and South Florida I really hope I don't see a bunch of people talking about that South Florida versus Alabama game for last year in reference to this year's South Florida game and trying to convince themselves that that that means that game will somehow be close the Alabama vers South Florida game last year was the biggest aberration of Nick sabin's entire career period I I don't know what happened um I I mean I understand the quarterback situation and we there's two or three different versions of the story about why milro didn't play in that game and of course it was raining and all this kind of thing and the media was just [ __ ] all over baming what was going on there and so I don't know what happened there um but I talked earlier about if teams played 10 times and this team beating them seven out of 10 or whatever you play South Florida a hundred times you're beating him 100 out of 100 I I don't know what happened last year it's got no effect on this year you will beat the so out of Western Kentucky in week one and you'll do the same in week two at home against South Florida now it gets a little bit trickier on the road at Wisconsin now Wisconsin does not have the talent that Bama's got but their coach does know what he's doing let's not forget he's got just as many trip to the playoff Luke fickle I'm talking about the coach of Wisconsin has just as many trips to the playoffs as kayin dbor does one Luke fickle did it at a group of five teams Cincinnati had them undefeated a couple years in a row actually made it the uh made it to the playoffs the the second year that first year they ended up you know they didn't make the playoffs they played Georgia in the Peach Bowl I believe it was and Georgia beat him that next year they went undefeated again and got rewarded with a playoff birth where of course they promptly lost to Alabama uh so Luke fickles 0 And1 vers Bama but you got to travel up there unfamiliar environment this is a game that a lot of people are looking forward to because you always hear oh the Big 10 the SEC won't go up and play the Big 10 teams and blah blah blah blah blah well Alabama's going to go up there and prove that that whole deal is a lie I think Alabama goes up there and beats Wisconsin they're's way too talented I do like Luke fickle I like what he's doing there offensively too which just a complete 180 from what Wisconsin has been known for for kind of the last 20 years or so um not that they'll be an air it out team this year but they're going to throw the ball a lot more this year than than than most of us have ever seen Wisconsin throw the ball in a season I just don't think they've got the uh the pieces or the parts to keep up with Alabama I think Alabama wins on the road at Wisconsin they're 3 and0 then you have a bye Georgia also has a bye that week and coming out of that is the Georgia vers Bama game one of the biggest games of the year in all the college football um now the good news is for the loser of this game we have a 12 team playoff and it's not irrelevant because seeding matters winning the SEC matters and in order to win the SEC you've got to make the SEC title game so this game is huge this game does matter it's just not an endall Beall game it's not like the Michigan and Ohio State game from the last two or three years where you feel like the losers automatically done even though we saw that wasn't the case two years ago when Michigan and Ohio State both made the playoffs even though Ohio State lost this game is still huge uh the pressure to win this game I think is on Kirby and Georgia not kin Kaylin's a first year head coach he's going to be given a certain amount of slack now I understand how Alabama fans are believe me I've been doing this a long time I've been talking to Alabama fans on here for 10 years I know how they are but realistically kayin dor will be given a little bit of slack because it's his first year now he can't go six and six right um but he can lose a game or two in year one and it's not an end of the world the sky is falling type of deal well it's his you know it's his first year he ad justing whatever it is whereas Kirby even though he has a win over Bama he only has the one win over Bama he's one in five versus Bama now all six of those games were played with Nick Sabin is the head coach and of course he's no longer there but Kirby has to prove that it was a Sabin issue that that for whatever reason he couldn't get over the hump when it came to Sabin he has to prove that by winning this game on the road at Tuscaloosa if Georgia goes in there and loses there really is no valid excuse Georgia is favored in the game currently by about three points Georgia has just as much if not a slightly more talented roster top to bottom they return their quarterback their head coach their offensive coordinator and their defensive coordinator out of all of that all Alabama returns is their quarterback they've got a new head coach new offensive coordinator new defensive coordinator new schemes New pieces everywhere this would be a really bad look in my opinion if Georgia were to go into this game and lose to Alabama and I don't think they do I think Alabama loses at home to Georgia I think it's going to be a very close game if you look at the history of of of Kirby Smart vers Bama and sort of what has happened in all of these games we all know that Kirby is one and five right but did you know that in those six games Georgia was winning at halftime four times maybe five they were winning at halftime in the national title game of 2017 and lost they were winning at halftime in the SEC title game against Bama in 2018 and lost they were beating Bama in 2020 in the regular season the co year they were beating him at halftime and lost um why out coached by the greatest coach of all time Nick Sabin 17 18 20 I think there was one other one other year Georgia was winning at halftime got severely out coached in the second half and lost because of Nick Sabin that can't happen anymore Sabin is gone for those reasons the te two teams are pretty evenly matched it's obviously a huge advantage to have this game at home for Alabama next year this game will be in Athens by the way they're playing again next year in Athens um Bank Georgia gets the win Alabama takes their first loss of the season but you already know I've got them losing to Oklahoma later so at least two losses there's the South Carolina game talked about that already you will beat them on the road at Tennessee you will beat them Missouri at home you will beat them then you get your second bye remember you get two by- weeks come out of that um LSU win Mercer uh win Oklahoma uh win I already talked about the LSU in the Oklahoma game and then they finished up with the iron bowl at home um it's interesting to me or it's going to be interesting to see how kayin debor handles this now he had a very he was he was a part of a very intense rivalry at Washington the Washington Oregon rivalry and Washington and Oregon you can make the case last year were both top five teams and kayin debor beat them twice so Kayla abor is no stranger to bit rival bitter Rivals um and is nowhere near as talented like the gap between Alabama and Auburn is way bigger than the gap between Washington and Oregon uh and and dor was still able to dominate that rivalry I believe he beat Oregon three times he was head coach at Washington for two years and beat Oregon three was three and0 against Oregon I believe I beat him once in 22 and beat him twice last year once in the regular season Once in the Pack 12 title game and I think he'll start his tenure at at at Alabama would a big win over Auburn in year one and again you have it's a home game for B so even if you're looking at the history of this Alabama Auburn series uh and you're remembering a lot of these close games are almost upsets or actual upsets or Auburn kind of winning it's almost always when the game is at Auburn this one's in tuscal loose I think they get the win so I've got Alabama at 10-2 in kayin dore's first season now under normal circumstances that would be cause for concern and rioting in Tuscaloosa but I do believe that a 10 and2 Alabama team with this schedule with these wins and these losses will make the college football playoff most likely in the 5 to8 range which means Alabama would be hosting a playoff game uh December 20th or or 21st uh in Tuscaloosa which would be absolutely um absolutely unbelievable I'll be honest as a Georgia fan whether it's this year next year the year after whenever Georgia ends up not winning the SEC and they get one of those five to eight spot I can't wait for that I am so excited I'm getting off on a tangent here but Georgia is my favorite team but I just absolutely love college football I tell y'all that all the time I cannot tell you how excited I am to watch these home playoff games you we're going to see atmospheres like we've never seen before I don't care if you've been to a thousand college football games take the the biggest one you went to with the best atmosphere and the most on the line or whatever it's going to pale in comparison to what we see in these home playoff games traditionally the biggest games in college football been played at neutral Fields National Title Games new year six bowls playoff games all that kind of thing these players play off games in the first round are going to be played at home can you imagine a home playoff game at Bryant Denny Stadium or Sanford Stadium in Athens or the shoe in Columbus or the big house in Michigan or whatever just fill in at Oregon it's going to be absolutely unbelievable so I know the Alabama fans don't want to go 10 and two I know they're going to hate me I know they're going to tell me I'm only picking Georgia to win because um I'm a Georgia fan uh I have in 2020 I picked Georgia to lose to Bama the regular season okay I don't always pick Georgia to win and I told you I'm not picking any any SEC teams to go undefeated that a includes Georgia so I've got Georgia losing games this year too the SEC is very hard to figure out brand new teams no more division schedules have been turned on their head I don't think anybody's going undefeated it's impossible to me to try to figure out who's even making the SEC title game because I ask yourself this what are the tie Breakers in the SEC what if three teams at the end of the season are 10- two uh how are they picking there there's so much to to to happen and to go on this season I know you're going to get up set but don't get bogged down at me having you at 10 and two I think Alabama's one of the best teams in the country Alabama Texas Georgia Oregon Ohio State uh one of those teams is winning the national title okay
