the Olympic watch it like a yep every hour that you can possibly Nina Kennedy did very well with the pole vault becom the first uh track no field athlete to win gold field female that's it um so afterwards Tony Jones is over there he's doing good work for Channel 9 and nine now he was in the stands and he interviewed Nina Kennedy Nina Kennedy's from Western Australia is she a footy fan she numbers are a little bit lower out on the field you need to show why uh so that's my that's my little excuse uh no that's actually it's it's a little bit of a lighr that's very fresh off the injury that so it doesn't look like that now right is it okay though cuz you were very good on the weekend saw the week before you're okay did you see me walk in here this morning I did there's no limp at all I thought that might have been the enhanced Footwear that you're wearing which again lul wouldn't read about it uh no I feel good I I actually I uh I was a bit nervous going into the Western Bulldogs game because I was quite sore after my first game back um but it's amazing what you can get up for game day um cuz it's a pretty special day of the week um so um the fact that I've trained this week and felt pretty good means the next three weeks is going to be fun and speaking of game day obviously a tough assignment on the weekend um against Port who were flying last week absolutely just dealt with Sydney in a way that not many others have this season how are you guys feeling going into it it's obviously a it's one of those difficult parts of the Season where mathematically you can still make it you're still a chance but is the feeling in the group going against a team that's obviously up and about they're third at the moment on the ladder looking for a top two finish how do you prepare for a game like that uh well we got we got Port earlier in the year um at their home so we've looked a little bit of that game and um how we and how we played there um it's it's a real interesting year so obviously it's the ladder's real close and I actually put that on to Sydney like they're the best the best teams normally just win games and then that causes a gap from like 8th to 10th but unfortunately Sydney and Cen and jalong the teams that have been at the top have been losing games and now it's just one of the almighty squeezers to get in the eight the hawor Cardon game is going to be incredible oh yes I can't wait to watch that but we're also still involved um if we if we beat port and um Caron lose the narrative changes to us making the eight real quickly um with one went off so um we're pretty Keen to go out there but um the lad doesn't really matter for us this week we played a pretty poor Friday night game so um it's more about the response and Daisy and I were chatting during the week and he was out playing golf and I was in a 4-Hour review um it was slightly said I miss those anxiety inducing meetings they are the worst but you usually get a response from them so um hopefully we do and it must be different for you guys a different feel going into that stage of the Year this year obviously at this time of year the last few years Melbourne have been in redh hot form looking towards finals you're sort of The Underdogs at the moment no one's really putting you in the conversation that you're even still a chance to make it how is that different it I feel like as a player I kind of liked those games more so than the ones where you go in and oh they shouldn't lose this one because you feel so much more pressure yeah I'd like to be a win closer to the eight I I I don't mind being Underdog but when we're I think we're less than 1% chance it's a little bit of a tougher cell to the group but um I do I I I do like being um and like going out there with a with a point to prove um we were talking about playing with aggression like n Kennedy does um I think it's something that um we all should get into our game and one thing that I've taken over the last couple weeks is how important game day is um um I feel like Monday to Friday is an important thing to get right as a professional athlete but it really comes down to your two hours on Saturday and um I'm really excited to to get three more chances of that this year and um hopefully I mean in 2021 we we got the momentum off the back of our last three games in 2020 so um if we don't make finals and things don't go our way we need teams to lose so things don't go our way and we win all three games the momentum that takes on to next year and culture building wins um yeah they're they're certainly why you still play footy at this time of year it can be a yes or no but the Wild Card round that they're talking about that the commission will look at around Brown low weekend what do you think surely with your position on the ladder this year you be going you'd be a game off we 11 yeah we're 11th so we'd miss that as well do we no you'd have a chance to that like so you'd be one win off effectively finishing 10th and having an opportunity to play in yeah it's like uh I was hearing Peter bow talk last night he's not a fan of the reper charge but then he was in the reper charge he goes oh I'm I'm I'm a fan of the repit charge now similar so I'm not a fan of the Wild Card round but once I'm in it and I'm sitting 10th I'm like this is the best thing ever so um it'll be interesting to see if it works Peter ball also not a fan of drug testing no and that's that's a Miss there I mean I'm I'm glad you brought it up let's talk a little bit of drugs on air it's 710 but um 7:15 if you sample B I think saved him yeah yeah and then it's sort of ruined his four years leading into this Olympics and then unfortunately you saw the run last night so but there's a new kid on there's a lot of talk around the AFL about concussion of obviously but now it's come to light that insurance around that is clearly going to change uh after the three play PL payouts to players I should say of seven figures have you got a take on this uh I mean I think this makes sense from insurance companies that if something is going to keep coming they've got to sort of change their formula somehow otherwise they'll keep losing money so it sort of makes sense when you look at that way but from a players point of view um you you want to be protected in this game um there's a lot of things that are happening from rules to tribunal results um to payouts that you you hope are always on the players side in protection with concussion and um it looks like we might have some fights on our hands but um yeah I support anything that supports players of concussion because I've obviously had a near dear teammate that's had to retire recently um that's going through this currently so uh Daisy you're still here Kate McCarthy you're in for the whole day and Max G is here uh you're playing Saturday night you're in here we've um decided that your tipping is so far ahead of Daisy and version at the end there but I dare say most Colwood fans would have their own version time they get that so is this a ploy because we heard him sing the cartton song Mitch McGavin sent in a nice number 11 jumper is this just a ploy to get freestyle for your kids as many jump you this is this is genuine clickbait um no so we when we go for our bike ride if you uh happen to be bike riding near us on gardeners Creek you will hear us coming he has no shame he's belting out all sorts of songs that whole trip so um it's a great sove now I wear airpods on my bike ride and just don't listen to him and he's just on his he's just on his own he just does his own thing now has he across the big big sound he's across all of them uh he knows he knows knows about gold coat yeah I'll take requests s b big yeah sh down no that's Sydney um what's the sort of gives it away in the title so what we did why he's so good just to explain it is most people blue e or Paw Patrol to shut their kid up and put him in the front of the TV as is our is footy songs un and then now it's not because we've worked out we've got a problem here he's singing he talks like hey how was your day good old call just tell me day adorable we a pride of um so now we've sort of easily backed to Paw Patrol and blue so hopefully he starts quoting some of their stuff soon a we love it well thank you very much for
