BREAKING NEWS: ZEPBOUND SHORTAGE w/ Zepbound Vials Released & Zepbound Price Change!

breaking news for Zep bound price decrease and today the release of single vial doses of tur eptide with Eli Lily direct let's go ahead and break this news story friends if you're new here I'm Elizabeth ciss of shopping I've been on glp1 medication mararo and zound and tur eptide compound the last year and a half plus losing over 92 pounds as one of the uh earlier doctors to this medication and on today's episode I want to break this news to you I've got some great news and also some not great new new so make sure you stay till the end too if you are on a glp1 medication and working out I've got something that is time sensitive today that may help be on your workout Journey too but let's break this story literally today just a few hours ago I ran home from car pickup line Eli Lily announced that Zep bound 2.5 milligrams which is the beginning dose and Zep bound 5 milligrams today will now be released to the general public through Eli Lily director it's Lily direct that is their tella Health company or the broad the broad scope in which they they Farm it out to tell Health companies um at a reduced price typically Zep bound cost without the savings card around ,000 is dollars per month for four pens so it's four weeks worth a 28 day supply one week times one pen 28 day supply today it was announced that the uh 2.5 do 2.5 milligram dose will now be in a vial format so it's basically it comes in a um vial with syringes on the there you would inject the medication or put it your the medication yourself into the needle and do that um much like how compound folks did uh put that in um and use that as your medication versus the pen which is the injector pen at a substantially price drop it's starting off at it is $3.99 for a 4 week Supply with that vial and the needles included on there and so why is that that's the beginning dose and it's also five milligrams will be a vial with the needles for only $5.49 now we know the pen costs around 1,000 is maybe 1,5 50ish $150 is per month um and so this is substantial savings but let's go in through the fine print of this this sounds great for people who are at the beginning doses I am at the highest possible dose of Z bound 15 milligrams and I have said all along that having a break in the supply chain is helpful for all of us so that is the victory woo let's celebrate that Victory if you were on on it all this is a victory that vials are getting released because it's going to alleviate some of that pressure that is on the manufacturing side of Eli Lily to make Zep bound that is the great news here's the not so great news reading between the fine print for me it's uh that price point of a 3.99 for the beginning starter dose and also 5 milligrams is only 5.49 is a couple of things three things one that you're not eligible for the for the zound savings card well my friends the zound savings card traditionally it varies a little bit but you can get the zound savings card it's a th000 let's just use Easy Math approximately $1,000 my experience using the zound savings card for those who are eligible for it um there's certain stipulations and I've done other videos so make sure you click that like And subscribe button so you can see those stipulations uh on it but with the zound savings card it typically brings the price down to $500 anyway so if you're you're paying $5.49 that's around the same ballpark is it could be$ 5.49 for the 5 milligrams of this new vial with the injection and it's about 549 500ish with the savings card with the pen so that's number one you cannot use the debound savings card with these vials no no no no no no no no you cannot number two you cannot um use with you without employer coverage meaning your employer is not is your insurance is not coming into this is what I'm taking that as and number three it says blatantly self-pay you pay out of your pocket like how you pay out of your pocket for compounds uh you're self-paying for the Zep bound vials of 2.5 milligrams and Z bound vials of 5 milligrams you're self-paying that so self-pay not eligible for the savings card so don't think that that half price amount that we had been getting with the Z bound savings card would be applicable to these files what's happening though is if people are starting that is actually a good deal if your insurance doesn't covers that bound and with the savings card the starting dose $3.99 so 4 400 bucks um that is a great deal that is a great deal because with the savings card for me and I should use my eye statements I have paid around the 500ish park ballpark per month out of pocket because I am eligible for the ZET bound savings card my friends who are not eligible for the Z bound savings card meaning people who are maybe on Medicare Medicaid if you're using government insurance my understanding you cannot because of the law which lobbyists are trying Eli Lily is actually lobbing hardcore for that to change that law but there is a law that you can't have obesity type medications covered by government stuff and Try Care meaning our amazing fabulous military if you're military I love you so much so our Tri care friends for their insurance they're not eligible to my understanding and correct me in the comments if I am incorrect because I will do an update because I do require that I am factually accurate with this I will also cite my sources as description let's continue so with this this new option is going to help millions of people but here's where I see some I hate to be Debbie Downer because I know y'all come to me for uplifting shortage issues and many people if you have not seen my videos on this coverage Eli Lily the manufacturer of zound and mjo took Zep bound and monjaro off of the FDA shortage list saying that there's thousands of other people have told me that they are experiencing the shortage now there also to be fair are a lot of people who have but not as many who have been not had issues finding their medication for me at the highest dose of debound 15 milligrams it is like Gladiators still trying to get my medication that is my experience and I've watched other people's experience now other people who have been and typically I see it lower doses so this is great because I keep going back to the umbrella of we are having a supply chain issue if there's an alleviation even of the beginning doses that benefits all of us even me at Z bound 15 milligrams which is why I still find this a fabulous Victory because it's going to alleviate the pressure but where it doesn't is that Eli Lily legally by taking mararo and Zep bound off of the FDA shortage list is now legally it's a legal way to go after compound pharmacies who are dispensing tur eptide um and there's also semaglutide but that's with noon nordis that's a different company not Eli Lily but the tur eptide compound it's a a way for Eli Lily to legally go after them we've already seen SE assist letters going out to some compound companies so um with that information to end compounds and yes there's a legal way to do that and no I don't want to be honey penny for my friends and my folks who are on I mean I was on compound I was on tte compound because of the shortage this is supposed to through Eli Lily their whole intention of releasing these upbound files is to have a safe place for people um to not have issues because they have and I'll I'll read from their article component of it the count is texting me more breaking news as this progresses again you're going to want to click like And subscribe as I continue to break these stories this is a big day today for glp1 people um the the main reason why the vials were done is danger is posed by propol of the counterfeit fake and unsafe untested knockoffs of Lily's medication Lily has taken a vocal stance against obesity medication for cosmetic weight loss multi-step verification process to help ensure the vials are dispensed only to patients who have valid on-label electronic prescriptions from their healthcare provider we've talked about off Lael prescriptions More than 70% per the NIH is that the right stat I need to I need to correct myself on that and maybe it's not it's NIH National Institutes of Health is my source but a dramatic amount of people it's not 70% there's a dramatic amount and I need to specify that who are prescribed off label like mararo people back in the day were prescribed manaro before Zep bound for chronic obesity management Eli Lily is saying that they want on label meaning what the FDA approves it for Z bound is FDA approved for chronic obesity management so this is the media's terms not mine but thin people in Hollywood there's this like narrative being painted of that are stealing your medication I don't really think that that's true in my humble opinion my humble opinion is there's a ton of us who have chronic obesity management have seen this life-saving drug and for me my life has completely changed from being the woman on the right to the woman on the left who now walks six miles in a day and goes to pilates class that is because of glp1 medication and so elay ly has truly saved my life and prolonged it but going back over to this the point that Eli Lily is the narrative in which they're painting is all these compound pharmacies are um dangerous and where I want to use their words dangers posed with propil propil of counterfeit fake and unsafe untested knockoffs now come on folks some of these compounds are that truly some of them are there's one near my area that I drive by I go in near Starbucks and I'm like I would never go there there's no medical supervision seemingly it doesn't have like a doctor associated with it I'm like how are they doing this they also do ketamine there in addition to Chronic obesity management treatment like it's a whole you can also do IV bags it's a whole spectrum of all these things I'm like they're doing ketamine in one room and then they're also anyways that to to me would be what Eli Lily checking in on people like that yeah that to me seems a little dodgy but there's other ones like for example my um compound pharmacy I got to reputable reputable they have all these checks in place and so there's a few and uh there's a few that are really really reputable and so with that um by changing the legal part of the FDA getting off the FDA shortage list Eli Lily knew that they were going to have to have something and then because all these people hundreds of thousands of people I don't know what the fact is are on compounds so many people are on compounds and so by taking it off the FDA shortage list it's left this huge grouping financially paying all these compound people then to hopefully move over to Eli Lily's vials and my assumption and again I want to be very clear of my opinion versus the facts my opinion is that having the 2.5 and 5 milligrams I also do think it's a beta test as a businesswoman I would do the same thing let's beta test it with people using these FES and then also using these needles that's a different learning curve than simply injecting a pen the pen takes me I don't know 30 seconds to do doing the needle it took me like 20 minutes that's just me some people come after me for saying that I'm like that was my experience maybe you're really well versed with doing injections over and over and honey when I get my Botox I I'm not my eyes are closed so with these inject it was a learning curve and so for some people and it was fine by the way P.S it wasn't that scary in my mind I made it scary it's not scary at all like it's totally fine and I'm sure with Eli Lily they are um G to do videos and things like that as to how you easily inject it versus the pen the Pen's really that is so simple okay let's continue so one of the other things that I want to talk about on here is the self-pay component of but you also have to be a part of Lily direct so meaning the telea health provider within their wheelhouse that they have and so one of them was called i f was factchecking myself um 9:00 a.m. health I wanted to see what is the price point to join Eli Lily direct thus one of these tella Health Providers which they do also have on the plus side there is an option through Lily direct to have inperson which I thought was really cool if you want that and then two there is the option to have insurance coverage for Lily direct now I didn't look up my personal coverage because I didn't want to put my own health insurance into Lily like I just I didn't want to go down that rabbit hole of putting my own health insurance in but but it does say on Lily Direct's website that it is health insurance covered with that but you do have the tella Health company for example 9:00 a.m. Health that is under this Lily direct telea Health company it is $149 per month so but that could be covered by health insurance I am with join Friday's tella Health who is in my humble opinion the best for chronic obcd management care I've been with them since 2023 a long time and they have provided excellent cover coverage for me and being able to help me navigate this shortage with it and I also have um twice a week group coaching dietician calls to help change my habits because we have to Eli Lily tells us we have to change our physical activity and we have to change our eating habits anyways use the discount code Queen um because one of the things that I think about in this is this still doesn't I mean it helps with the shortage with 2.5 milligrams and 5 milligram and I think this is a beta test of can other doses be included as vials wouldn't that be amazing and that's what I'm wondering and that's what I post I don't know I have no Insider information I have no information on that that's one of the things I think about with this is okay does that mean that the higher doses will be coming regardless for all of us on Z bound it alleviates that that pressure pushing down from a shortage the ZET bound shortage and myaro shortage it helps to alleviate that but I do think it's a beta test that we may see okay maybe 7.5 milligrams gets added into this 9 milligrams gets added into this but I think part of it too is people there was this huge article that just came out uh an amazing uh was it Rebecca it was you Rebecca please forgive me if I'm quoting the wrong person I think it was Rebecca Rebecca sent it to me and was like how people are getting these higher Doses and it's a it's a mess and it's very dangerous do not do this of getting higher Doses and then breaking the pens apart to make lower doses for themselves to save money do not do that that is absolutely dangerous and not healthy for you do not do that people are doing that and I think that's part of the concern for Eli Lily with these higher doses that potentially that could happen too um of maybe of having the 7.5 milligrams that then people will get that but you here's here's the safety net you have to go through Eli Lily direct you have to go through Lily direct their telea health provider so it makes it so it's not someone prescribing these that maybe is um unsavory and by going through Lily direct it's preventing unsavory actions from happening because they're controlling that which from a business standpoint we're dealing with people who have done a lot of crazy thing you know what I mean like I'm an honest woman of Integrity that matters most to me and so um I can see why they're putting these bookends and safety around people with with releasing this which also tells me too by the way why we've had a delay in this is because there's a lot of safety nets that need to be included because this could be and we've seen it with people on I mean we've seen it with people on compounds doing that of where they'll get through a shoty uh type service not not a join Fridays type one but one that's unsavory where they'll get the higher dose and then they'll just use the dose to make um smaller doses with it to save money because the higher doses are um the higher doses for me have not been more expensive by the way I've actually paid less the higher up I've gone slightly like 20 bucks and I don't understand the pricing quite frankly I really don't sometimes I'm like what is going like I just don't get it but and I've been on Z bound 15 milligrams for quite some time so with these I do think incorporating the cost in that you have to go through Lily direct would your insurance cover it if it doesn't it for this one company the 9:00 a.m. let me make sure I'm saying that right for the one company 9: am. Health that is through Lily direct it's $149 per month so factoring that into your cost people sometimes bulk at join Fridays for $99 a month if you use the discount code Queen it's less than that but um for the first month but it includes all of this education with a a group coaching dietitian with movement classes like Group movement classes online like there's all these online continued education and a community within that which is amazing so I don't see Lily doing that they're not offering dietician group coaching calls where you can figure out your Macros for example of how many macros you're supposed to have per day very very helpful so that's kind of where the news stands with this I will keep you up to date which is why you want to click that like And subscribe button over upcoming weeks of what then happens with the shortage of this we don't know because we don't have an FDA shortage list to now refer to because Eli Lily took it off that so that is why you want to join my free group because we have been there collectively hearing other people's experiences very much by geographic location now one thing to note there are two states and I don't want to butcher this I want to say it's Mississippi and Louisiana but that could be wrong fact check me on that but it's two states maybe three that don't allow compounds at all like meaning you could not get tur epatite or semaglutide out of those States it's against the law in those States and so this sounds like it's an option for people in those states perhap to be able to get through Lily direct as well and having this if you're on zound 2.5 milligrams or Z bound 5 milligrams option now if you're on this is the other point of this too if you are on 7.5 ZB 7.5 milligrams and you are self-paying you may be getting already the um you may be getting already uh your prescription um and maybe that's look worth looking dropping down or talking to your healthc care provider always never medical advice on my am I not MediCal simply my experience strength and hope a friend talking to a friend always I will always punch you back to a professional healthcare provider because I don't have those I'm not trying to give you armchair medical advice here I'm definitely not trying to do that but that's something to look into is if you're on the 7.5 talking to your doctor about that talking to your healthcare provider about that if that helps alleviate now one of the things with Lily direct that I have seen over and over and it's not confirmed anywhere but from my experience is people will join Lily direct because they think that they will get their medication easier faster better stronger and they don't that they're still under a shortage and so by just by joining Lil direct from what I have seen and Eli Lily I love you guys you guys have change my life and save my life I want to be sponsored by Eli Lily and this may be shooting me in the foot for future work for them but it's the truth is that in Lily direct there's not this Gateway into getting your medication seemingly better within the shortage that the shortage is still existing so people in Lily direct are still having delays getting their medication from what I have seen in my free encouragement group and that's just my experience my own personal opinion that is not fact and I always want to discern fact versus my opinion that is my opinion um it's probably going to get me in trouble and but it's the truth and so just by doing this but I do think having it's going to substantially alleviate a lot of problems for people different medication but it's a gp1 medication one hormone receptor uh Zan and M have to it has the extra G receptor this is gp1 so GP gp1 and gp1 this is why I'm not MediCal at all it's slightly less data and people do have different side effects different reactions it's different it's a different medication but is that something for you I'm trying to come up with solutions for you if you are freaking about losing your tur eptide compound because you're working with a reputable compound pharmacy and you're worried about I mean more is going to be revealed El Lily has been very clear on their intentions to go after a compound pharmacy that is there's no ambiguity in that is their whole intention of taking it off the the the f um the shortage list so that is an option for you to that
