College Football 25 Simulated Season - Week 1 - FCS Midwest @ Hawkeyes

[Applause] when you arrive at kenck Stadium you know what's in store hard nose toughness defense and you better bring your hat and be ready to strike somebody when you come into this black and gold cauldron to take on the Haw guys what an exciting matchup we have in store for you this afternoon built around the pageantry tradition and everything that makes college football great as we'll see the Coyotes Taking on a team from the big 10 the Iowa Hawkeye for EA Sports college football I'm Reese Davis joined here in the booth by David poock and Jesse Palmer and guys let's get this thing started the coyotes will kick it away first from inside his own 15 looking for a crevice ni's just enough space to cross the 25 let's mark it at the 27 yd line so the Iowa hawkey offense will get the first swing of the game after a pick up of three operating in the Red Zone here on second down the give to the back ball is loose once that ball was loose offense didn't have a chance Defenders everywhere it's a turnover and that's hard to swallow you're just you're in scoring position you got set up perfectly inside the 5 ydd line everything looking good you can't fumble the football you got to take care of it what a missed opportunity for this offense there that was an awesome job first off being there at the point of attack once the tight end made the catch there was no doubt he was going down great job for the Hawkeyes will try to pin them back with the punt this will be the second time they've had to kick it away oh now the ball has been knocked free on that last play now a second and long coming he's looking to throw release to the back and he cruises his way to the house touchdown Hawkeye and this offense gets on the board in the first passing touchdown of the season and I feel pretty confident saying the first of many this offense looks like they're in a good Rhythm and this passing attack is going to be hard to stop [Music] defense is going to have to find something to kind of mess up this timing they got going on coming out on first down with the play fake snags it takes it to the house touch down Iowa yeah and now this offense building that lead it's still the first half but I tell you what shown some glimpses of why they can become a really really good offense listen you go into halftime more of the same right continue to do what you're doing take care of the football this offense has looked really good a short gain there still a little ground covered pick up the first out of the shotgun on third down fires downfield pass on the way it's picked off and the senior just took that one out of the a and sends it the other way who says defensive backs don't have hands nice job breaking on the football and making the catch a lot of times you see guys SWAT it down or you see them trying to catch it it looks like they have two left hands defensive packs don't catch real well nice job reg on the football nice job securing the int and actually catching it time out to stop the clock time dwindling away as they try to put points on the board right before the half the give is to Williams touchdown Hawkeye and they take it in for six more points a quick strike just as we expected yeah and quick strikes are easy when you got such great field position obviously when the offense starts in such a good spot puts the defense in little pause it does because if you're rattled right now then you need to regroup take the three and Li touchdown dingos a great catch and run for six one of the reasons this offense is so exciting to watch the you've got guys that are dangerous after the catch and if this quarterback gets through his progression David he hits you in stride these guys will take it to the house man it's your job to do the rest right you hit me in stride where I don't have to stop running I don't have to break down it makes it so easy the connection between quarterback wide receiver you can tell this is a good one and that's rough so why would you call it that well you call it so third down becomes an easier down it's not third and long where I have to pass the football now and he'll take it in and house it touchdown Iowa it's another good decision by the quarterback you've got to be impressed here on that one he finds his tight end but all game long whether it's receivers or running backs or tight ends wherever the best one-on-one match up has been he's been able to take advantage of it and that's why they've been able to score so many points [Music] they get a big win here and start the season on a positive note you got to love that as the players you come out you have so much anticipation coming into the season finally getting ready to play in front of a live audience you're able to come out and execute get this win under your belt David couldn't be a better way to start the year and for the losing team obviously it's a little bit different you have something to look at now to analy where do I need to get a little bit better but plenty of time still left in the season to improve and turn it around so that's going to do it for us for Jesse Palmer David bik I'm ree Davis saying so long this has been
