Top 50 Running Back Rankings in Fantasy Football

Hall Travis eten jir Gibbs saquon Barkley Jonathan Taylor Joe Mixon Kendra Miller just went on the IR what are you guys freaking out about there have been so many changes in the NFL in the last couple days we've got roster Cuts we've got coaches talking about how they're going to use players and you're probably cramming for your fantasy football draft so today I'm giving you my top 40 running backs in less than 20 minutes cuz your time is valuable starting off with Christian mcaffrey he is the only player in this first tier very simply put Christian mcaffry scored more points per game than any player in the NFL last year Point Blank period more than any quarterback more than any wide receiver he was that dude and don't be afraid to draft him because of this calf injury he had the same injury and played through it last year anyway moving on to my next RB1 Battle tier which is called the rb1 battle these are four running backs that I believe are battling to Dethrone Christian mcaffrey as the rb1 in fantasy football this year the first player's name is be Jean Robinson out of Texas hook him all right now bejon was wildly misused last year was a top 10 pick in the NFL draft which is very high for a running back and then Arthur Smith decided to just be Arthur Smith and not use him properly he and Tyler air basically shared carries which was completely ridiculous now Arthur Smith is gone a whole new coaching staff from the Los Angeles Rams have joined this team and they've talked about using bejon Robinson the same way the Niners used Christian mcaffrey AKA he's going to be our world and the offense revolves around sir bejan Robinson don't be afraid to draft this kid all right Bree Hall who finished as the rb2 in Fantasy last year averaging almost 17 and a half PPR points per game he was very good a lot of his fantasy points came through the air though I think this offense will be completely different it'll be a more efficient offense I don't think he sees as many targets but I think he has more opportunities in the Red Zone than he's ever had in his life if Aaron Rogers is healthy the offense is probably not going to be consisting of dumping the ball off to Bree hall seven times a game however if Aaron Rogers is healthy the offense is going to be far superior than it's been in the Last 5 Years in New York this will be the best offense Bree Hall has been a part of meaning more touchdowns on the ground all right we've also got jir Gibbs here Jamir Gibbs and Christian mcaffrey are the only two players that I believe can go for a th000 and a th000 a th000 rushing yards a th000 receiving yards I think it's possible he is that dude he's that talented and if you look at the second half of the season for the the Lions last year they slowly started to give jir Gibbs more and more work in the Red Zone inside the 5 yard line that role that David Montgomery had on lockdown slowly in the second half of the season started leaning towards jir Gibbs and we've also got saquan Barkley here who has been a superstar level Talent stuck behind a bad offensive line in a bad offens his entire career his entire career the Giants have been a bottom five offensive line unit his entire career in the NFL the Eagles have been a top five offensive line unit so now he gets to join a much better offense the best offense he's ever been a part of behind one of the best offensive lines in the NFL don't overthink sequan Barkley all right next here we're talking about players that can finish Top 5 Battle top five they are battling out for the top five this is where the biggest change has occurred in recent news for me Kiren Williams was at the beginning of this tier now he's at the end of this tier I don't want to overreact and I also don't want to underreact to recent news so now I would take etn Derrik Henry and Jonathan Taylor all over Kiren Williams pretty comfortably funnily enough I featured over on flock fantasy's uh Channel and I talked about how I was a little bit concerned about Kiron Williams this year and I got clowned on a lot of you guys clowned on me saying I was an idiot I'm not Victory lapping but now hopefully you guys can see why I was a little bit concerned the recent news that I'm talking about is Shawn McVey in an interview coming out and saying that Kiren Williams is going to return punts check this out you know kyen Williams is going to be our punt returner and it's another opportunity for him to get touches and impact the game and you feel comfortable with that because of the confidence in Blake korm and Ronnie Rivers um you know being able to spell him if need be now let's be very clear I still believe Kiron Williams is the rb1 on this team I still believe he'll have the first and second down work however if Shawn McVey is confident enough in Blake korm to put Kiren Williams In Harm's Way as a punt returner that means he must have a lot of confidence in Blake korm at a very early part of his career meaning he probably has a significant role in mind and Blake corm was one of the best goal line running backs in all of college football in the last three years he had 50 rushing touchdowns at Michigan that's where he specializes on the goal line and now Kiron is going to be returning punts we know that we can rely on Shawn McVey for usage in workload because coach beak index shows us he is a trustworthy coach when he talks about how he's going to use his players so look there's enough red flags for me that I am no longer drafting Kiren Williams early second round I'm not taking him over ET and Henry Taylor I'm not going to take him over Drake London or Marvin Harrison for example like those wide receivers or Nico Collins I'm not telling you don't draft Kiren Williams I'm telling you unless he falls to Mid late second round he is not someone I am no longer drafting with that kind of confidence there's already a little door open to kirn's role changing and we haven't even played football yet so you can tell me I'm overreacting in the comments I just think those three names eten Henry and Taylor are much more reliable they are safer in your second round of your Top 10 Battle fantasy draft all right so let's move on to the top 10 battle another another huge change as of recent Josh Jacobs is screaming up my rankings all right he was already moving up last week and now he's just moving up more and more and more why because the only reason we were concerned about Josh Jacobs and Green Bay was because Green Bay likes to rotate their running backs and Josh Jacobs has been heavily relying on volume in his career now here's the change AJ Dylan is out for the year all right he's on season ending IR so you will not have to think about AJ Dylan one single time now the rookie they just drafted Marshon Lloyd cannot stay healthy he is also dealing with an injury he will not be available to start the season so now you got an offense who loves to rotate running backs but what happens when there's no running backs to rotate maybe Josh Jacobs starts the first five weeks of the Season getting 65 to 70% of the workload on the best offense he's ever been a part of I've said this so many times this offseason but I think he falls into 10 touchdowns I love ing Josh Jacobs Alvin Kamar a my guy this year there's no reason to be worried about Alvin Kamar especially in PPR formats if you're in a standard League no PPR don't draft Alvin Kamar if you're in any League that gives value to points per reception you got to draft Alvin Kamar this guy could lead running backs in receptions he could lead running backs in targets and receiving yards he's going to be a pivotal part of their offense you know people are worried about TM Hill well taes Hill was on this team last year and still Alvin Kamar averaged the third most points per game game Alvin Kamar averaged more points per game than Bree Hall Travis etan Jamir Gibbs saquon Barkley Jonathan Taylor Joe Mixon what are you worried about like the offense can't get any worse they brought in a new offensive coordinator and there's no running back to compete Kendra Miller just went on the IR what are you guys freaking out about all right you got to draft Alvin Kamar Isaiah Pacho great year last year um finished as an rb14 but missed three games averaged over 15 PPR points per game and now he's on an offense that should be even better meaning more trips to the Red Zone Devon aan I love Devon aan I'm a little bit hesitant compared to the average person I can totally recognize that Devon aan has the highest ceiling of any running back in this tier but I want you guys to recognize that there is some risk with drafting Devon aan that risk is he's an undersized back and Raheem mozard is probably going to get 50% of this backfield so if you're drafting aan that early could you be missing out on a value like Raheem moer later on Rashad white finished as a top 12 running back last year in fantasy football offensive coordinator change does that concern you at all in PPR leagues he should be a monster Joe moneybag Mixon what has Joe Mixon thrived on the past five years in fantasy football being on a good offense good receivers good quarterback so many trips to the Red Zone but he's been super inefficient what does he have now in Houston a good quarterback good wide receivers going to go to the Red Zone a bunch we'll be super inefficient but we'll score touchdowns and we catch passes out of the backfield a lot of you guys are overthinking Joe Mixon in my opinion and then Jimmy James Cook last year James Cook had a breakout season he was very good specifically when the offensive coordinator changed halfway through the year to Joe Brady the entire offense completely flipped on its head from pass focused to run focused and James Cook was cooking he might be a top 12 running back again this year he has Top 15-20 Battle top six upside all right we're moving on to the top 15 to 20 battles all right y'all ready for this Aaron Jones people are worried about Ty Chandler why I don't know are you worried about Damen pierce with Joe Mixon I'm not are you worried about Clyde Edwards Lair with Isaiah peo I'm not are you worried about marshan ly with Josh Jacobs I'm not I don't think you should be worried about Tai Chandler either Aaron Jones was still so freaking good at football last year when he came back from that injury I believe from week 14 onwards even into the playoffs he averaged over 15 total yards per game averaging over five yards per carry he was still that dude and I don't think an offense that has Justin Jefferson Jordan Addison Aaron Jones and Kevin oconnell is going to be bad a lot of people do Kenneth Walker Kenneth Walker is a fine option I think this offense is going to be more focused on the passing game and I think Zack shanet is the better pass catcher in this offense so I definitely am team Ken Walker I will draft him just not over some of these other names zamir white zamir white is a volume play if you're drafting zamir White You're Expecting the Raiders to run the ball a lot under Antonio Pierce they ran more than they ran with Mike with Josh McDaniels so I think zamir white is a pure volume play and what if he's actually good like you have to ask that question and it was only a four game stint where he started last year but in those four games he was really freaking good at at playing the running back position we've also got David Montgomery I'm a little hesitant on David Montgomery this year if you remember last year David Montgomery was a my guy we had him every single place we could but the issue is the trends to the end of the season last year are concerning that mainly being if David Montgomery does not have 70% of the opportunities inside the 10 yard line his value will go down and that's what concerns me as Gibbs gets more and more involved rre Stevenson you know a reliable option in half PPR or PPR he certainly doesn't have like a top six ceiling but he's a reliable rb2 on your roster and we also have to ask the question what if Drake May's good like genuinely what if Drake May's actually good at football because could you be getting what happened last year in Houston with Devin single ter right CJ St was good we didn't expect him to be that good what if Drake May is good we don't expect him to be that good and rre Stevenson can help you win your league we got Raheem moster who is one of my favorite picks in fantasy football this year you know all this talk about Devon hen I get it I love Devon hen I love him too but the hn truthers are ignoring Raheem moer entirely he's coming off a career best season he scored over 20 total touchdowns and and then this team gave him a contract extension and yes he's 32 years old but why do we care about age we care about age because it can tell us if a player's body is breaking down and we're talking about Raheem moer who does not have many miles on his tires if you will he has less career rushing attempts than David Montgomery than Jonathan Taylor like all these young players so you shouldn't be using age as a reason not to draft Raheem moer James Connor I'm a little lower on him than the average person because I do think Trey Benson is a legit threat DeAndre Swift he's got a rookie quarterback leading his offense is he really going to be that good a guy who relies on targets to be relevant in fantasy football he's probably the fourth best Target on his own team you might be interested in that I am not that interested all right moving on to this next tier risk reward all right High Risk, High Reward going to name off all the players in this tier and we'll talk about a couple javante Williams Jonathan Brooks Zach Moss Brian Robinson jayen waren Naji Harris dein single ter Taj Tony Pard and Blake korm Blake korm is my biggest riser in the recent news I like I'm not saying this will happen but it would not Shock me at all if we're week four into the season and Blake km is completely splitting work with Kiren Williams in that offense it would not surprise me he is the better goal line running back you can hate me if you want the dude scored 50 freaking touchdowns in the last three years at Michigan playing in the Big 10 all right I love Blake corm this year a true League winning handcuff all right let's let's talk about Javon Williams one-year move from the ACL ter I think he's going to be much better this year all reports out of Camp are that he will be better and by the way the running backs in Denver get targeted hardcore Shawn pton and this offense LED targets to the running back position last year Jonathan Brooks is someone that you're excited about second half of the Season he's a potential League winner we've got Brian Robinson in this tier I think Brian Robinson is the running back to own in Washington he showed us last year that he's much better as a pass catcher than any of us anticipated you've got Zach Moss here who could lead the way in Cincinnati you've got those Pittsburgh Steeler running backs I'm not super interested in them I think they have a very low ceiling but they will be given so many opportunities in an Arthur Smith Le offense that will be focused in the Run game Devin single ter is the rb1 on a bad offense does that interest you I don't know and then we've got the Titan running backs I have personally in my projections given them split workload down the middle I think they'll get an even amount of rushing attempts an even amount of targets and I think long-term Taj Spears is the one that I will want to own cuz I think he will do more with those opportunities than a Tony Pard will last year we'll talk about is the Sleepers sleepers tier all right we've got Austin Eckler here has he lost a step was he you know bad last year just because of the injury what will his role be in Washington we'll find out Jerome Ford is one of my favorite sleepers in fantasy football this year I am telling y'all Jerome Ford stop sleeping on Jerome Ford you got to stop from weeks two onwards he was a top 15 running back in fantasy football they just got rid of deont Foreman drone for is a must draft I'm telling y'all and Nick chub is on the IR he won't play at least the first four weeks Gus the bus last year was on a good offense that ran the ball a lot fell into 10 touchdowns this year on a good offense that will run the ball will he fall into 10 touchdowns it's certainly possible Chase Brown is the you know cool Tesla to own instead of Zach Moss which is like your 2015 Toyota Corolla all right so Trey Benson another really good handcuff along with Blake korm if James Connor goes down I think he truly can take that job we got the cowboy running backs what will dvin cook mean for this if they do sign dvin cook by the time I release this video it makes the cowboy running backs just all of them very disinterested in my opinion and then chuba hubard chuba hubard is Discount Jerome Ford in the sense of the guy ahead of him Jonathan Brooks won't play at least four games chuba hubard from week six onward was you know averaging around 12 points per game in PPR he's reliable option and a great Target if you're going to go Zer RB all right I'm pretty sure I just did that in under 18 minutes so I
