E Bike For My Girlfriend- Eleglide M2

welcome back to you lovely bun thanks for tuning again I hope you're all doing good today is new bike day but it's not a new bike day for me it is a new bike day for the girlfriend so I don't think I was actually meant to give this bike to her but I've got an abundance of bikes she doesn't really cycle that much so I figured an ebike would be like the perfect introduction to cycling so I mean I've not told her about any of this yet so fingers's crossed she's okay with it so she's on her way I'm going to get this built up really quickly and then we're going to go for a bit of a pedal together see I get to ride a normal bike and she will keep up on this super Speedy ebike so thank you to ell Glide for sending this over I know it's maybe not what you expected so I better get this built up before she turns up right let's go this is the iglide M2 plus you are also able to link this with the app God look at the sun is coming out is like the perfect day for this 250 W Motor hydraulic disc brakes like 24 speed 100 Mil travel on the suspension Fork that you can lock out like 100 km range if you're on like just normal pedal assist mode it does have a throttle but we won't be putting that on we'll be leaving it just as a pedal assist fingers cross this does fitter this is the 29in wheel version you do get 27.5 in Wheel version right I'll give you some more info in a second need to get this built [Music] [Music] so I've got this all built up and ready for the lady to take out for its maiden voyage to see what she thinks of it so while still waiting I'm going to run you through a little bit of the spec so gears Shimano T we've got like an eight-speed at the rear you have three at the front I mean honestly I don't think an ebike needs a triple chain ring up the front I mean they have electric motors it's really I think you can get away with running these as a one byy so at some point in the future maybe I'll upgrade it to a one byy so an upgrade to the previous model it does have hydraulic disc brakes which obviously are much better for stopping you and if my partner is riding this bike I want her to be safe so not only will she be able to keep up with me on the uphills and she'll be safe on the downhills not the best suspension for but you're not going to be taking this bike to Whistler or like down full on downhill Trails it would just be for like a pot about bike this is €799 and so compared to a lot of other bikes it's quite reasonable I just reviewed a set of wheels that are more expensive than this entire bike so I've had Ellie glide on the channel a few times really really enjoy the rides I have on these and in all honesty I don't personally have a lot of use for these but I enjoy riding them enjoy riding different bikes but my partner I feel is the perfect candidate to test this out she doesn't ride a lot it would be nice to be a to go for rides together and now she can keep up I mean not only keep up she'll be like flying ahead of me so I guess now what I need to do is sit here and wait for her to arrive it's a beast five speeds five modes yeah but I'm not going to get to five speeds am I one yeah you have to put a whole load of effort in so when you R up a really big hill mhm you might not want it in one cuz it'll mean like you really we try it but like and then you put it in two and you'll notice it'll be a bit easier mhm obviously five much easier drains the battery faster 100 km apparently so you got suspension and then if you don't want suspension mhm it's like just what's the difference if you're riding down like a few like bumpy trails and stuff turn it on yeah but realistically like it just means if every going to ped is going to go Bob Bob right should go right [Music] there I just legit got drops I'm just going to have to avoid hilly Roots this is not fun I mean it's fun for you right yeah every time we get to a hill she's just gone and there's like a little chuckle and a grin and a Goodbye Oh I'm going to have to ride my road bike to keep up on my gravel bike but I would say so far so good I seems to be enjoying it where I'm going to get dropped again another Hill she's just picking the hilliest route now I'm honestly doing about 350 WTS 400 watts and she's just leaving me behind got at the really steep one I was meant to be filming you but I'm not fast enough to keep up so here's I going around the corner look I guess this is how a non cyclist would feel going on a ride of a cyclist but Jesus Christ I mean she's grinning so that's a good sign I'm not sure if given her this ebike was actually a good thing on D I think this is fun it's so much fun this is this is I can see why you do it now yeah yeah like the effort's really low I don't feel like I'm like blowing out my butt at all on the downhills it's fine I can catch her cuz she's a scaredy cat Red Bull Rampage here she comes know honestly this is exactly why these bikes are great like Stacy does not ride a bike a lot so it means it kind of puts you on an even level well I was hoping it would put us on an even level what it actually seems to do is on the flat downhill very chill when we get to a hill very much not an even level I basically have to do a threshold effort all the way up the hill just to keep her in View and I think she's on like pedus is mode three at the moment so she were on five oddly screwed but this is why these bikes are great [Music] so there's a really Steep Hill around the corner I reckon you should put it in five and go up it and I want to see if I can keep up okay just just out of curiosity I have a feeling I might not in theory we should be evenly matched yeah I don't think I'm going to do this I'm actually turning this down so we're at the same level passively aggressively being called slow right let's have a little race I feel like we the exact same amount of effort in on that CL then not often lost for words I don't know what to say why do I even ride a pedal bike the ell Glide M2 plus um sorry it kicks my ass on a climb and I tried as hard as I could and I couldn't catch you they have know what to say Stacy's new bike um she won't say anything cuz she's shy but if
