all right Robbie thank you so much and we have some more breaking news this midday former Iowa football standout and longtime radio analyst Ed podac has announced he will be stepping back from his position as color commentator for the Hawkeye radio network moving to a role on the pregame show instead a native of Atlantic Iowa he spent three seasons as Iowa's starting quarterback in 1960s before going to a 9-year career as the running back for the Kansas City Chiefs he was a member of the Chiefs team that won Super Bowl four Pac spent 42 Seasons as Iowa's football analyst covering nearly 500 games since 1997 he has teamed with play-by-play announcer Gary dolphin calling the action for every Iowa football game across the Hawkeye radio network Hawkeye sports properties will begin a search for Pac replacement later on this spring
