[Music] hello and welcome to it's tomorrow news I'm SRI Arctic blast to send temperatures plunging as spring starts with wintry cold snap in UK a cold blast of Arctic air is set to end days of milder conditions this weekend with a temperature drop across the UK forecast despite the end of winter Britain will face a noticeable drop in temperature as much welcome Springtime double digit degrees will Make Way for colder climbs in time for the weekend the Met off is Ws the winds arriving from Spain and Portugal brought unseasonal above average temperatures over the week with a Mercury hitting 16° C in the Southeast on Wednesday are sure signal to the official beginning of Spring with many hoping for the continuation of sunny and Mild days the Met Office meteorologists predict otherwise as Thursday evening brought an Abrupt temperature drop as air from the north changed in Direction leading temperatures to drop to single digits people will likely need to wrap up warm over the weekend as the Mercury Falls to single digits as low as 5° C most woke up to a wet start on Friday across Southern parts of England and Wales with Sunshine blasy showers and colder temperatures temperatures will reach 11° in the Southeast at around 11: a.m. with the Mercury also hitting 11° in the southwest 10 in the Midlands between 8 and 11 in the North and 7° in southern Scotland on Friday temperatures were expected to be above 5° from most of the country yet with a possibility of an overnight Frost and snowfall on higher grounds in Scotland and North England people are started going outside without their coats but come Friday they'll be grabbing them again it was unclear how long the cold weather would last but the Met Office expects Wind and Rain across the UK heaviest across Southern areas from Monday Friday night was chilly with the West Midlands plummeting to 3° and by Saturday Northern Scotland could face winry showers with temperatures falling to 5° across the country despite a chilly start to Sunday morning temperatures are expected to climb to warmer figures in the South where the East will reach 7° and the West will hit 8 cloud and Rain slowly clear the southeast through the day sunny spells and blusty showers are forecasted on Sunday heavy and possibly winry at first over Hills but fading through the day becoming unsettled again for Monday and Tuesday with further rain that's all for now for more weather news updates stay tuned with us on its tomorrow news for more global weather updates like this subscribe to our Channel and hit the Bell icon for regular updates thank you
