Matthew McConaughey JUST HUMILIATED woke culture and HOLLYWOOD IS FURIOUS

did you ever think a simple thank you could make everyone mad it's what we're doing in society now we're making people persona non grata you get to ER Ras someone's entire existence where the heck does some forgiveness go well this Hollywood actor did just that I'm listening to rock and roll action and there's the chick all right all right all right I've had that the for that's for just when you thought the industry couldn't be more divided this is I understand on topic but this is where the left misses it for me just as far as being a marketeer um Matthew mccon took a bold stand I've seen people read the room and go wo that wouldn't bode well for me in the future if we're getting a job or or getting votes or what have you from thanking God during a word speeches to openly coming after cancel culture why is this Texan actor causing so much chaos now MCC isn't just known for his acting anymore he's also making an impact by speaking out against woke culture in Hollywood at an award ceremony MCC did something that has become almost forbidden in Hollywood first off I want to thank God cuz that's who I look up to he has graced my life with opportunities in an industry where talking openly about religion especially Christianity can be tricky this was a bold move and in that way I mean it's a verb it's a uh it's about to yet taking a day at a time but having the big picture in mind it's it's about an instead of or it's about uh rights instead of rules it's uh give it Direction but mccon didn't stop there he's expressed his concerns about Hollywood's lack of diverse viewpoints moments where I was on stage receiving an award in front of my peers in Hollywood and there were people in the crowd that I have prayed with before dinner's mini and when I thank God I saw some of those people go to clap but then notice that well well be bad thing on my resume and then sit back on especially when when it comes to free speech and religious beliefs he believes these values are often ignored if they don't fit the mainstream Progressive views why was MCC ha's thank you to God such a big deal in Hollywood talking about faith can be more controversial than a movie flop so when mccon openly thanked God it surprised a lot of people the entertainment industry which often leans liberal usually avoids religious talk especially from a conservative Viewpoint in various interviews MCC has discussed the importance of free speech and open dialogue he's criticized the industry's tendency to silence those who don't conform to the prevailing narrative it's what we're doing in society now we're making people Persona nrata you can erase someone's entire existence where the heck do some forgiveness mcc's comments didn't go unnoticed some people in Hollywood like Woody harelson and Kate Hudson openly supported his right to speak his mind now I just uh this country seems so divided beautiful ugly black white blue red I love everybody maybe because I'm a redneck hit harelson a longtime friend who even defend ended mcc's views on social media saying it's about time someone spoke up but here's the thing others in Hollywood weren't so happy some think mcc's views are old-fashioned and could harm the progress made on social issues what's the crime rate um what's the divorce rate what's the uh um the rate of H how happy our employers are can we have a place where businesses also have the same values that Austin Texas has businesses that have the highest rate of Happiness this disagreement isn't just about politics it's about what it really means to be inclusive did you leg get elected in Texas being anti- gun do I think I can get elect in Tex being anti-gun one thing about me in politics is to give you a direct statement right there is playing a game that I'm not interested in playing give you a direct St don't mcc's actions have brought about a bigger issue a clash of values in Society Hollywood often supports Progressive causes like social equality and environmentalism but mccc's critique suggest that this Progressive stance sometimes ignores conservative and Christian viewpoints I've seen people read the room and go whoa that wouldn't vode well for me in the future if we getting a job or getting votes or what have you um I have seen that I've witnessed that um I don't I don't judge him for it I just wish you know that that that it seems like a silly argu so is Hollywood as inclusive as it says it is mcc's p stand makes us think about whether the industry's idea of diversity includes different political and ideological views his actions remind us that true diversity isn't just about looks but also about the different voices and opinions we hear he believes that free speech is crucial for a healthy democracy and that cancel culture puts this Freedom At Risk in a time when every word can be picked apart and every opinion can lead to backlash mcc's Defiance is both risky and admirable I'm pretty much more my own referee and I'm a harder Referee on myself than anybody else I'm tougher judge on myself than than than than anyone else um and I think I hope my ego is clear that I'm a better judge of when I'm succeeding but what does this mean for the future of free speech in Hollywood will Matthew mcc's bravery lead to a new wave of openness in Hollywood or will he be standing alone against a strong current his actions have definitely started a conversation but whether this will bring lasting change is still uncertain one thing is sure MCC isn't backing down and neither should we when it comes to fighting for free speech duration of any issue relating to free speech is my passionate belief that the second most precious thing in life is the right of why do mcc's actions matter so much Hollywood is known for its left-leaning views supporting Progressive and secular values the industry often talks about diversity in race gender and sexuality but it seems Less open to different political and religious views especially conservative or Christian ones mcc's open talk about his faith and conservative opinion stands out out in Hollywood by doing this he highlights a big issue the exclusion of certain viewpoints in an industry that says it's inclusive throw somebody's illegitimize them because they say they are a Believer it's just so arrogant uh in some ways hypocritical to me this makes us ask can Hollywood really be called inclusive if it ignores certain beliefs celebrities can truly influence public opinion when someone like MCC speaks out it starts conversations and debates that might not happen otherwise he pulls off to the highway about 8 exits before the kar we were heading to and there's a white van down there that flashes his lights at us as soon as we arrive this a Chicago John he gets out I look out the window this little guy gets out of the b band he's in a black leather Jack and he's bald he's got a big pouch and he goes around the back of his van and he opens it up his words are making the entertainment industry think about being more open to different ideas but here's the tricky part going against the usual Norms can be risky especially with today's cancel culture mcc's decision to speak up shows he's committed to his beliefs and to free speech how will Hollywood respond a choice now he's our president and um it's very Dynamic and as divisive of an inauguration in time that we've ever had at the same time it's time for us to embrace shake hands with this fact and be constructive with him over the next four years so so anyone even those who most strongly May disagree with his principles or or things he said and done um which is a thing we'll see what he does compared to what he had said um no matter how much you even disagreed along the way it's time to think about how constructive can you be CU he's our president for the next four years at least president of the United States so how will Hollywood react to this will the industry welcome more diverse viewpoints or stick to its usual ways mcc's actions have put Hollywood at a Crossroads making it decide if it truly values the diversity it often talks about the impact of mcc's actions is still playing out on one side he started important talks about free speech and whether celebrities should speak out on the other side he's facing backlash from people who think his views are outdated this situation also highlights a bigger issue in America where Faith politics and social values often Clash mcc's actions show a small part of this larger debate pointing out the differences in our society will there be real change looking ahead one thing is clear the conversation about different ideas in Hollywood is just starting mcc's bold stance has encouraged others to
