the Denver Broncos did everything right in the off season coming off of a season where the Denver Broncos went eight and N with Shawn pyton having his first year in Denver with Russell Wilson a lot of people were tied up with if Russell Wilson should have been the starter or if he should have been benched what people fail to realize is that the Broncos o line in 2023 was eighth at aoud pressure seventh at AOW time to throw the ball and PFF credit the Broncos o line with 10 sacks given up leaving Russell Wilson responsible for 30 plus sacks Russell Wilson also struggled to get out of the Huddle and develop plays so with that being said as a veteran quarterback the Denver Broncos did the right thing by benching Russell Wilson and then in the off season moving on from Russell Wilson and at 12 the Denver Broncos selected Bo Nicks from the University of Oregon Shawn Payton went out and handpicked his guy and he picked a guy with a very very good maturity level and not only is the player very mature he has a lot of experience with playing in different systems and learning different systems and beating adversity Nicks finished his career with the Oregon Duck is an all-time leader in completion percentage of 74.9 while ranking in third in completions was 658 third in passing touchdowns at 74 and fifth in passing yards at 8,101 what people fa to realiz is another one of B nick' strengths was getting the ball out in the time of getting the ball out after the snap so B Nick is a guy that has a very quick release and gets the ball out um avoids pressure in the pocket great at avoiding sacks Bo Knicks is the total opposite of the former quarterback Russell Wilson in Denver I would say the Denver Broncos drafting at Pick 12 was the start of getting this team back on track the Denver Broncos are setting the rookie quarterback up in a pretty good situation considering that the Denver Broncos do have a solid offensive line and the Broncos have decent weapons around the rookie quarterback as well the Denver Broncos have courland Sutton which was one of the best Red Zone Targets in the NFL last year they also have a super young wide receiver too in Marvin Mims which creates separation very very well and when he gets open he just catches the ball the truth is is that Marvin Mims production should have actually been way higher than it was and I believe that Marvin Mims could have a breakout year the reason Marvin Mims didn't have a very productive year receiving is because Russell Wilson did not Target Marvin Mims at all and to put the icing on the cake the Denver Broncos didn't only draft Bo Nicks from the University of Oregon they also got his wide receiver one from the University of Oregon in Troy Franklin what people fail to realize is in 2023 Troy Franklin and Bo Knicks together set several single season records including the fact that Troy Franklin had 1,383 receiving yards and 14 receiving touchdowns and Troy Franklin had eight 100 yard receiving games the Denver Broncos got an absolute Ste in Troy Franklin and not to mention the Denver Broncos also have a pretty solid defense a lot of people want to say the defense was bad but the biggest hold the defense had was the Run stopping issue last season and on the defensive side of the ball the Denver Broncos also had a pretty great off season the Denver Broncos not only drafted Jonah Ellis but they also got some great run Stoppers in Malcolm roach and John Franklin Meyers the Denver Broncos also got Levi Wallace a veteran Corner the Denver Broncos made the necessary moves on defense and offense to benefit the team a lot of people want to say that the Denver Broncos are a bottom three team but I really don't see it because the Denver Broncos did not lose enough offensively or defensively to be a bottom three team yeah the Denver Broncos do have a rookie quarterback in Bow Knicks but I'm going to be honest we even seen when Wilson wasn't playing and Jared STM was on the field that it actually looked better because he could read the middle of the field he could hit players in stride things that Russell Wilson absolutely struggled to do I think the Denver Broncos one of the most underrated teams in the NFL considering that everybody's saying that Denver Broncos are a bottom three team and Shawn Payton won eight games with a quarterback that couldn't click with the offense couldn't click with the coaching staff and Shawn Payton won eight games Shawn pton also averaged the highest points per game since the Super Bowl win and that team that we had back then so Shawn pyton is putting the team back on Pace and back on track and I believe that the Denver Broncos are going to be back on track very very soon with Coach Shawn pton and if you enjoyed Denver Broncos content make sure to hit that subscribe button make sure to like the video and comment what you think about this coming year with the Denver Broncos
