This is also the first year will see the expanded College Football Playoff, which will now include 12 teams as we are about to begin a season. Unlike any other. >> Michigan's national championship last January was the end of an era. The road to the trophy this season will be dramatically different. And so will all the major conferences. The SEC is added, Texas and Oklahoma. While the now defunct PAC 12 lost 10 of its teams to the Big 10 Big 12 and the ACC, which is also adding SMU. >> The SEC was already the deepest and most difficult conference week in and week out. Now you have Texas and Oklahoma coming in. That's all we can to make it tougher specially for the mid tier of teams. And then the other side of that is is the Big 10, which is significantly expanding, adding USC UCLA. And then they at Oregon and Washington who were both in the national championship Chase last year. >> The Atlantic Coast Conference has grown to 17 teams and not only extends from Miami up to New York State but all the way across the country. >> Cal and Stanford joining the Atlantic Coast Conference made in the ACC should change its name to all Coast Conference. >> Well, this was a bit of a death. Desperation move on both sides, of course, won the PAC. 12 broke up last year. Stanford and cow were 2 of the most prominent schools of just frankly didn't have a place to go. >> That's because Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah jump to the big 12 leaving Oregon State and Washington state. Nowhere to be found. Those schools are not technically in the group of 5 smaller conferences but will play a partial schedule in the Mountain West as the College Football Playoff will now have 12 teams for the first time 5 conference champions will learn automatic bids, meaning at least one of the smaller schools will always get in. And those first-round games will be on campus sites before the playoff moves to traditional bowl game location. >> I think more events on campus actual college football venues with with character. And I think it just makes for better atmosphere. Better fan experience and really potentially better football of all the changed conferences. I really haven't. I and USC is USC going to be built with the talent. They have available to them in Southern California to be competitive with Michigan's with the Ohio State's with the Penn State.
