The NY Giants Get GREAT News Before NFL Week 1

for stopping by as we react to the news of the day circling around the New York football Giants it has been hinted at it has been rumored now for months at this point but today it is officially official as Brian dable announced that he will be the offensive coordinator he will be the one calling plays for the New York Giants this season and this is great news for you for me and for anybody that's a fan of this football team because what we saw last year from an offensive production or I guess lack of production standpoint this is awesome news look I don't want to blame everything that happened last last year on Mike CF because one that's not fair and it's not true there were multiple reasons there were multiple factors as to why the New York Giants were maybe the worst offense in recent NFL history some numbers here 31st rank scoring offense 31st when it comes to yards per game last in the NFL and passing yards per game and surprisingly they were middle of the pack when it came to rushing yards per game but let's go into a little bit deeper dive of some Advanced analytics because I don't think just passing stats running stats and all that tell the full story the Giants converted their third Downs at the 31st rank in the NFL the Red Zone touchdown percentage which was a major reason as to why they were good in 2022 and why they made the playoffs it took a nose dive in 2023 they were 30th when it came to Red Zone TD percentage they were 31st and just total first downs picked up in a game last year and they averaged 1.4 points per first quarter worst in the National Football League look about it in at an even deeper lens they were 30th in the NFL in early down success look at any metric read anything about the NFL the teams that are most explosive the teams that put up the most points they have success on first down they have success on third down they don't get in second and long they don't get in third and long the Giants they operated a lot in second and long and third and long and teams that have explosive plays they score more points it's easy to score touchdowns when you you create explosive plays the Giants did not do that they had the 27th most explosive plays or explosive play percentage in the NFL but the stat that I thought was most telling when you're talking about the New York Giants story for the 2023 season was the first drive of the game stats why because the first drive of the game is scripted you practice that script all week long you come into the game saying we're going to do this this this this this and this is what our first drive is going to look like okay so Mike CFA and probably Brian D come together during the game week they put a drive together and what are the results that come from those drives that were put together 34 31st an estimated points added per play 30th in yards per play 29th and third and out percent three in out percentages what about their punt rate 30th touchdown rate 30th and overall points per Drive 3 first the Giants offense was a joke last season I don't want to spend too much time harping on last season and again I don't want to just blame Mike kfka because there's a lot of people that deserve really a piece of the pie when it comes to how bad they were dble absolutely deserves some of that Mike CFA does Daniel Jones does the offensive line Bobby Johnson the lack of Playmakers John mea everyone that involved themselves with a New York GI last year Joe Shane included they deserve blame for the product that they put out on the offensive field last year but why is this good news for the New York Giants one because Brian dable at one point was looked at as the best offensive coordinator in the National Football League the reason that Brian dable left the Buffalo Bills as their offensive coordinator and became the Giants head coach is because of what he did there and the success that he had there that Giants hired Bryant able to come fix this offense and I would not say the offense is fixed and it needs fixing and you know what they got a guy that has operated and called the shots and was the leadership of an offense in the NFL that in 2021 20122 they were the second most scoring offense in the league second most yards per game in the league seventh most in passing yards and seventh most in rushing yards so can Brian dable do what he did in Buffalo which got him this job now do it with the New York Giants it's a lot easier though when you got Josh Allen on Center it's a lot more easy for Brian D to call up shot play to call a big play to call plays here plays there and plays anytime anywhere no matter what the down and distance is when you got an MVP in the backfield named Josh Allen compared to no disrespect Daniel Jones but there was a lot of talk for a long time as to and really the reason Brian dble say didn't want to call plays is because it was his first time being a head coach and he wanted to be the CEO he wanted to manage everything but the big time coaches in this league the guys that are chasing Lombardi Trophies the guys that are looked at as the best in the NFL those head coaches they also call plays for their teams Andy Reid Kyle Shanahan Shan McVey Zack Taylor Mike McCarthy Ste Kevin stefansky Doug Peterson Shan pton Matt lefor Kevin oconnell and that just 10 there's more in the NFL that are head coaches and call plays it was more more than time and look I get it year one you want to give it to Kafka sure then in year one Kafka did pretty damn well and the Giants ended up making the playoffs so I get it you didn't do it then but it was absolutely time this off season for Brian dable to start calling plays and he did that in OTAs and mini camp and training camp and preseason and Joint practices but the reason I am most excited about this is because it is finally time to evaluate Brian D because we are either going to see a coach that is able to elevate a I would say Talent deficient offense into a good spot or we're going to see him potentially show that he's just not that guy as an offensive coordinator and maybe it was Buffalo and all the talent I don't know which one it is but I want to go to this everyone tells me I love Brian D and I love Brian D too and they say d was a quarterback Whisperer he was the reason that Josh Allen was that guy I never thought that was truly Fair because one the player always deserves the credit for the work they put in and the talent they have but D was definitely a part of the journey that saw Josh Allen go from a guy that looked like a bust his rookie year to a guy that's going to consistently be competing for MVPs and if you are a quarterback Whisperer well godamn it do it right now because the Giants they need someone whispering in the ear of Daniel Jones and it should not be K Adams it should be Brian dble look at the stats of dable and Daniel Jones together some notes on these stats in 2022 I looked at these stats in a lens of any quarterback that had a minimum or more than 154 snaps 41 quarterbacks were qualified in 2023 I looked at quarterbacks with a minimum of 150 snaps 45 quarterbacks qualified so 44 in 2020 uh 41 in 2022 45 in 2023 let's talk about Big Time throw percentage how often do you make a big time throw even in the year that Daniel Jones and the giants made the playoffs it was still just the 39th spot for Daniel Jones so 39th at of 41 he also had the 21st highest turnover worthy play percentage not ideal his average depth of Target how far are you throwing the ball down the field per throw Daniel Jones 40th at of 41 he threw 15 touchdowns and he threw five interceptions that's awesome but turnover turnover worthy play percentage was way too high when you especially when you factor in the ad dot which was 40th out of 41 and the big time throw percentage 39th out of 41 what about last year though only played six games so not a large sample size but that's why we looked at it through a percentage lens of the 45 quarterbacks that qualified in 2023 he was 38th in Big Time throw percentage he was eighth in turnover worthy plays which is surprising because he threw six interceptions compared to five in six games but the way to look at that is not all Big T not all turnover worthy plays result in turnovers I think we kind of saw an evening of the scale from 2022 to 2023 his a dot in 2023 39th out of 45 QBs and then just two touchdowns to six interceptions the reason I wanted to show that is one this isn't the first time Brian dav's going to have influence on this team if you think for a second that it was kfka calling the shots and he didn't have talked to dble about it you're just wrong and there was rumors last season that Brian da took over the coaches meetings and even called plays for some time last year and I say that to say the big time throw percentage has to increase Giants need to be more explosive the a die needs to impr increase and the turnover worthy plays they need to go down one thing I definitely want to see though more of this year is Daniel Jones running the football I understand the neck I understand the knee but you know what the reason the Giants and Daniel Jones were successful as an offense is because how often they score touchdowns in the red zone and because of his legs and the threat of him being a Ball Carrier Limited sample size in 2023 only six games played but can we get back to this Daniel Jones plays 16 17 games this year can we get over 700 100 yards and can we get over five rushing touchdowns if you can that's going to go a long way into producing results for this offense while the Giants may not have the most explosive Playmakers when you have to account for all 11 all 11 players every single down talking about the quarterback running and makes the defensive coordinator's life a little bit more difficult look I am hoping Brian dable as the full-time offensive coordinator can unlock Daniel Jones the easiest way for the Giants to be successful this year the fastest way for the Giants to be competitive this year is if Daniel Jones is that guy even though I don't believe in him even though I don't think he's a Super Bowl champion winning quarterback I'll be rooting my tail off every Sunday for him to be good because if he's good that means the Giants is good and my life is always better from Daniel Jones I understand that Vikings defense that they played in the 2022 2023 playoffs was arguably one of the worst of all time but look when Brian DAV was the offensive coordinator for the bills in 2020 he was the AP assistant coach of the year and the bills offense ranked second and overall in both yards 396.11 point3 per game in 2020 he improved the scoring production by 11.7 points per game from 2019 to 2020 with the bills and we saw how easy he made it for Daniel Jones in that playoff game people were running wide open he was hitting guys in stride and look even me who doesn't believe in Daniel Jones being that guy I got to salute and TI my cap to the brother because he cooked the Minnesota Vikings first player in NFL history with 300 plus passing yards two plus passing TDS and 70 rushing yards in a playoff game if this guy can consistently show up this year if Brian dble can fix Daniel Jones start building the statue or maybe wait to build the Statue you might lose some more weight but Brian dable is going to go down as one of the most influential and best coaches in recent giant history especially following the Super Bowl era of Tom coflin it's a tall task it's not going to be easy so maybe he shows us this year that he can make life easy for a quarterback but it's just not going to be Daniel Jones that reaps those rewards down the line and honestly I honestly wouldn't hate that I wouldn't because I would like to see Daniel excuse me I would like to see Brian D be able to handpick his quarterback for him to go out and choose his own guy that he wants to work with saw in hard Kno he said he would want the Giants to draft Jaden Daniels get Brian dable an untapped potential quarterback 52 quarterback can do it all Uber talented and then we'll find out if he is the QB Whisperer either way it goes this year it's going to be good news and honestly they should be better this year I know there's been some pessimistic talk on this channel for me never scared to admit that but let's keep it honest the Giants are much better than what they were last year their offensive line improved dramatically they wide receivers they improve drastically Darius Slay goes from wide receiver one to wide receiver two they getting year three ju Del Robinson year to Jaylen hayatt and oh yeah you got Malik neighbors maybe the best receiver in that class of number six overall now you got two tight ends I know you had Darren Waller last year and he was second in the Giants and yards last year but he's not there anymore can bager take a step can Theo Johnson as a rookie be a Dependable player and I honestly like the running backs that are on this team I like single ter I like gray I like tyone Tracy look the Giants I'm not saying they're the most talented team in the world not saying they are loaded with Talent everywhere but I do think they're a little bit better than last year and I think that there are plenty of players on this team that if Brian dable is all the right plays getting people in the right spots pushing the right numbers when he's supposed to there's more than enough talent for him in this entire team to be successful look overall if you don't take anything else from this video take this Brian dable becoming the offensive coordinator Brian dable calling plays for the New York Giants this Sunday is great news last year they were one of the worst offenses in the NFL and that's not all because of Mike Kafka but the reason it is good news is because he we're gonna find out if Brian dble is the coach of the future for the New York Giants because he was brought here to fix the offense I don't think he's got all the tools necessary to do it but he has more than enough to show Improvement and if the Giants offense does not improve I think we need to have a long serious talk of if Brian dable is that guy that's where I stand on that we're going to find out if he's the guy or not in my opinion they don't need to be the best offense of the league but be better than last year show growth show that it was easier for Daniel Jones and then when you get your guy next year or the year after let's go let's go compete in the
