Giants have converted $ 4.17 five million of left tackle Andrew Thomas's space salary into a signing bonus creating $3.3 four million in cap space this year the team now has around $18 million in cap from inside the interior Bowen liked him he started and earned reps with that first team but unfortunately the injury bug it bites again for big blue wishing all the best for Ryder Anderson if you final spot if they do try to run it back and keep six big boys on the D line again the Giants also made another move on defense this one being a linebacker Trey Kaiser Welcome to the New York football Giants a 2024 udfa out of South Alabama 38 games played for South Alabama he I believe he went to Community College or Junior College before that then transferred there played 38 games at South Alabama 100 tackles 21 and a half tackles for loss five and a half sacks he was stuffing the stat sheet was a udfa spent some time with the Jacksonville Jaguars this summer unfortunately it didn't work out there but he's got another chance at it now with the New York Giants and we've talked a lot about injuries today and there's a reason the Giants continue to add more and more players cuz they are healthy and right now they are beat up at that interior linebacker spot 6 foot 224 lbs like we talked about earlier he's a camp body but he is someone who's going to have to play against the Jets the injuries are already stacking up for this team I know I cover this team closely I've done it now for four NFL seasons and maybe I should pay more attention to other teams and their injury departments but it seems like every year we get the injury bug spreading through the New York Giants locker room and here we are again August 2024 talking about an inside linebacker room has one healthy body in Bob o car and Darius mooo that's two it's really one and Bobby O car some news coming up the Giants have joint practices this week with the New York Jets they will close out the preseason while playing against their uh cross town rival same stadium rival are the Giants and jets even Rivals at this point I I don't know I think the Jets fans hate the Giants Giants don't really hate Jets fans they're just little Bros at this point but joint practices this week they'll be kicked off on Wednesday we'll get another look at the Giants ones going up against their ones I just hope
