e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] tell me when we go [Music] well good a ladies and gentlemen it's game day Grand final day at Dorian Gardens we've got five massive deciders starting with this one the westpack women's league tag the South Perth lions against the North Beach SE Eagles throughout the day we've got as I said five grand finals three of them are rematches from last GE decider is it repeat or is it Revenge that's the case here in the westpack women's league tag the South Perth Lions and the North Beach SE eagles they met in last year's decide up with the SE Eagles 124 winners were just about ready for the teams to take the Field South Perth they will the first team in to the desider after beating North Beach 14 points to nil in the qualifying final uh it was just North Beach's second loss of the Season just one loss during the regular season they finished on top of the ladder but in the qualifying final it was the Lions bit too good for the SE Eagles 14 points to zip this is how the Lions will line up Brook Carol Amy Amy Thon Sophie Craig Rhythm brinkworth Beth Norton Michaela Turner Wallace zarur Millie CLA Smith and Grace Smith Amanda Maguire aana Kaho Stacy bnad Sophie dermit Claudia wood Lucy white Erin Terrell t Lily Patterson Shayla Williams imagin how and ke Marshall coached by Shawn Terrell the Lions they have I count nine players that played in last year's deider coming back and looking for that Revenge up against the North Beach SE Eagles well they did uh meet three times during the regular season and North Beach were victorious in all three of them 1210 in round 16 2416 in round 12 and 1612 when they first met back in round six and uh they they got here with an 180 win over the quana Titans in the preliminary final and this is how they will line up it looks like the teams are just about ready to take the field Jalia kigan Emily arag mcen M Toby Shen LS aah Cox Emily Rose Wallace shimay funga anahera tii Britney Rogers Tessa poia hins Emerson Robertson Bailey Robertson a April Allen holana Emory Caitlyn Miller Cheyenne samel Samuel and Tracy Sakia coached by Alex mury as we see the the SE Eagles out and now the Lions joining them led by m Wallace in Jersey 6 we line up for the pregame ceremony and then we'll get under we [Music] so we are touch judges getting in place we got the two Yuans on the sideline Yan robbles and Yuan magu with Ben Granger the man in the middle had a quick chat to to Sean Terrell just after I walked in the gate he said really the the whoever controls it and takes their chances will win the game it's been close every time these two teams do play each other he said North Beach were missing a few players when they met in the qualifying final we'll be the Lions to get us underway the SE Eagles to receive all is in Readiness one of these teams will lift the trophy at the end of this game as we are underway off the boot of Beth Norton and the SE Eagles have first use that breeze is going to play a bit of a role with the tags you see already those first two as soon as the tags come off they blow away so they've got to go and fetch them near the SE Eagles moving towards the center of the field Robinson almost threw a gap there Al mofen just got the tag now they come back towards the middle funger wrapping around they create some space on the outside through Toby the ball gets out wider it's beating one beating two still going is LS chenade LS desperate covering tag there from Sophie mcdermit now on tackle five again it comes from funger kicking a across field that's going to find hands a great grab I think the tag got got taken [Music] there just before she was able to get the pass away but danger signs early there a Cox great catch out on that uh that wing and South Perth straight away put under a little bit of pressure and now their first use of the ball Turner Wallace goes down a blind side again trying to exploit some one-on-one battles mcder who came up with a well A desperate diving tag a tri saer now Smith they go towards the middle Fain to kick there from Carol Su Millie and they're into the into the back field again here through Brook Carol Carol takes on April Allen April Allen gets across makes the tag well this is end to end stuff to start this one s Milly goes back towards the middle tries to kick that's play that should be six more picked up by Smith stuck a leg out and they'll have another set of six here the South Perth lines they settle through the Middle with wood wood will play it back to Grace Smith goes across to CLA Smith steps off the right shakes the hips they grab the tag Turner Wallace not a lot of numbers out to this side of the field so they go back towards the middle and a forward pass from Turner Wallace to Grace Smith and uh well that's a pretty Meek way to hand it over an exciting way to get down to this end of the field but not the best finish to that little play play on again chenade LS goes down the sideline this time they get across and make the tag through Sophie Craig Chade LS has looked very dangerous with her first two touches and the penalty well their first penalty of the game then we'll see North Beach kick this one over the sideline and they'll start inside the Lion's half Toby tapson goes cut again it get steps out of dummy half goes to funger takes the tag now cross to Robinson they go out wide at April Allen she puts on the afterburners April Allen she gets past one gets past two and again A desperate tag this time from Brook Carroll sweeping across in cover those two have come together a couple of times early they come back towards his right hand side with Robinson Robinson towards the line stepping gets over the line but the tag was gone again they come back through Robinson that's biley Robinson holds the ball out the pass there to ARA Gard mcgoffin was easily handled this time funga dummies goes holds the ball in two hands they pass it out they've got to scorion eight LS no forward pass well in that little quick tip on passing I'm not sure exactly which pass it was that the touch judges called forward but denies shade l the first try out wide and South Perth keep their line intact we've already seen two of the key players in in April Allen and Brook Carroll both with long range efforts that look like they might end with points a mistake from the lines se's North Beach with another good attacking opportunity here you got to mcgoffin goes across grabbed by Turner Wallace no penalty there though it's a step out of dummy half from Mel Toby quickly grabbed by Turner Wallace again now funger looks to bounce off the right foot stepping out of dummy half Cary cigan trying to go between Turner Wallace and Smith now Allen Allen gets it across to toui now Robinson back to toui stepping in field and another great tag last ditch efforts from South Perth just allowing them to keep their line they want to get through their set they want to get a completed set here and get the ball down the other end it's Grace Smith out of dummy half question marks about where she actually played that ball but uh again allowing the game to flow whenever possible here Ben Ranger so the Lions they get just outside their 20 and there's contact there from Mil Toby that warrants a penalty just sort of stopped Sophie mcder in a tracks without grabbing the tag was North Beach that initiated the contact and the penalty goes to the lines they needed that they were struggling to get out of their own end [Music] so Smith Taps gets it on to mcder who's getting through plenty of work now Turner Wallace underneath to Smith Smith tries to slice through one but [Music] doesn't out to sulian again the short ball and again it's Carol Carol again takes on Allen this time she beats up Brook Carol set sail for the trial line and that'll be first points in the Grand Final well it's the same play on that leftand side again going to Zara Su Milly who holds it up Brook Caroll hits a hole goes straight through this time she's able to beat the fullback and too much speed to get to the line for the first try in the Grand Final in the westpack women's league tag also importantly scoring beside the post makes the conversion attempt a bit easier there is a bit of Breeze about although with the wall down that end there is uh there is some protection down at Grand level well she's an absolute Superstar at this competition Brook Carol they found their weapon and a way to employ it just seen it with a couple of line breaks already in this game so Beth Norton from beside the post moves in the uans ra raise their flags and South Perth lead six points to nil on the atlas scoreboard plenty of time left in this one and we've seen North Beach have their their chances down the other end but how often do we see it a team withstands a barrage of pressure and their first chance down the other end they put on points mid hows believe her first touch just coming off the bench now Norton goes to Smith Smith looked inside to to Grace Smith but holds on to it now Turner Wallace mcdermit hits the hole but goes without the footy puts it down gry Smith comes comes through and picks it up so it'll be a knock on there against Sophie mcder North Beach will start inside the Lions half Toby plays the ball they step out a dummy half through Miller but nowhere for her to go LS comes in for a carry now funger going across field get it's it out to Robinson Robinson out to April Allen she steps off the ride she was player of the match in the Grand Final last year April Allen Robinson again out of dummy half she gives the chess pass and a chance a Cox she's still going gets the pass and they're in well North Beach that seemed to come from nothing there's a little postt TR celebration from ad Cox to boot and the SE eagles they strike straight back scoring out wide and they punish the mistake mistake of Sophie McDermot well it looked like it had broken down looked like there wasn't too much doing some fancy dancing from ad Cox and she goes over in the corner important conversion attempt from out very wide South Perth leading six points to four on the atlas scoreboard derit after making the mistake and seeing that mistake punished is's actually leaving the field I don't think it's a hook by any stretch he's uh had a very very strong start to this half she certainly will be beating herself up a little bit over that mistake she stops to watch the uh conversion attempt never looked likely so that one is waved away that's six points to four South Perth leading on the atlas scoreboard almost 12 minutes gone in the opening half the westpack women's league tag Grand Final coming to you live from Dorian Gardens see the crowd building couple of fans lining the fences as well sorton drives that one towards the sideline and gets across and cuts it off Bailey Robinson's been fantastic for North Beach in this Opening 12 to 13 minutes now Emerson Robertson takes a little run out of dummy half here's the tric scorer shaking the hips again as Robinson goes out to funga funga quick play the ball out to April Allen who's got him on the back foot he loves his situation a tip on play and a good tag from brinkworth [Music] and the kick will come from funger Knocked backwards from Su Millie but it's picked up by the SE Eagles and they're off area G mcgoffin will play the ball they've got numbers to the right Robinson dummies inside they go out again it comes to Cox Cox goes wider to Robinson Robinson steps in field and the tag is grabbed will they slid across well desperation defense from South Perth now a dummy and go now it comes to Robinson Robinson again looks to come back towards that same side they dot down and I think they get a point to the spot that's a try the arms go outstretched and Tessa poia hin goes over for North Beach and they take the lead in the westpack women's league tag Grand Final [Music] I don't know that she's actually been on the field too long I know in Jersey 11 but I think might might have started From the Bench he's coming involved a couple of times in that play po hins puts the seagull in front and once again they sort of they just got through their set after points got to their kick a mistake from Zara Su Millian trying to to catch the uh the Crossfield bomb just the repeat set North Beach able to capitalize LS slightly easier than the first a better strike but across the face so waved away but it's North Beach in front now 8 points to six on the atlas scoreboard 15 minutes gone two tries in 3 minutes they've gone from 6 n down to 86 laders and South Perth suddenly looking for a response [Music] so the lines back to the middle kick it down to April Allen don't know whether she'd often be the Target and again tries to use his speed comes out the other side and a great tag from behind there from bonstead now Ls going back in behind the rock another tag that had to be made this time brinkworth North Beach just rolling forward with ease at the moment through this set of six z g mcgoffin is tagged they go towards the middle through funga funga tips it on to Robinson Robinson has April Allen into the back field well they're going to call an obstruction play like just kind of uh an NFL Style Style play there from North Beach there's some contact there and that will go against Beth Norton and the South Perth Lions ruled that they initiated that contact and they don't get through a single play before handing it over to North Beach a quick play the ball and the SE Eagles are off through [Music] Miller now they come back towards the middle the tri scorer one of the sea eagles Tri scorers poia hins Robertson sort of falling over at the line that time as it comes across to funger funger gets that one on again to Har mcgoffin who's starting to to get involved herself now funga stepping weaving another important tag from bodn on the final play they're quite happy to hand it over just 5 m out from the Lions line still going a nice run there from brinkworth now Turner Wallace just handing that one off they're just looking to to get through their set and Turner Wallace will had a look up thinking about what she was going to do with the ball just didn't quite have it in her grasp they got numbers to this short side St away North Beach looked to go on the attack through Toby quick one out of dummy half underneath the ls LS has the ball in two hands looking dangerous again southp stand up to it Miller and just takes the tag a bit of a settler funger that one hits the deck it's allowed to bounce picked up on toui who tries to uh fool them a little bit now comes across the Robinson just sort of stops not a lot of depth there it comes now to Allen April Allen she'll again look to use a speed she put too much on that tick though that has gone into the fence by a long way but playing Advantage was Ben Granger saying South Perth were offside so a penally to the Sea Eagles and the pressure will continue so Robinson takes the tap and just takes the tag had a dummy half nowhere to go there from Carney Gigan they come towards the middle and again it sort of breaks down Allen this time just tips it on to to Bailey Robertson steps back into Allen Allen tries to find a hole through where there wasn't one still almost phases through somehow now toui out to fun short ball they've got a score left desperate coming across in cover but they can't get there to stop L shade L Dives over in the corner that was slick from the sea eagles and they were the minor Premier for a reason they have come to play today at Dorian Gardens and they're out to a 126 lead with a kick to come on the atlas scoreboard well chenade LS she deserves that she's uh she's been very dangerous every time she's touched the ball holding a witth out on this uh this left hand side a quality finish is diving over in the corner and now well he gentlemen she's none from two with the conversion so far the second kick was uh a little better than the first this the first one from this leftand touch line they certainly used the ball very well because a a miscon conversion attempt will keep the lines in the game they're certainly not going to go away but they haven't uh haven't really helped themselves since they scored that first try to go to that 6-0 lead they've done nothing but make mistakes and giveway penalties as the kick is out to the left and he's waved away so North Beach leading this one 12 points to six on the atlas scoreboard we've lost the lost the clock with the Sea Eagles going to uh to double figures so not sure exactly how long's uh left in this this opening half Beth Norton back to the middle to kick off and get us underway kicking towards the side line dangerous one for North Beach to handle but it sits up kindly able to secure possession right up against the South Perth bench you're cheering every play they try and lift their teammates to get themselves back in the C the contest til hoie great tag there just hung out the arm and stuck the tag Mela turna Wallace funger goes to the line ball in two hands gets it out to Toby she's tagged before she can do any damage comes back to funger for the kick she goes deep on this occasion down to Carol fires a pass straight away now South Perth through Kaho quick play the ball they work down that side again Carol the ball's knocked free and they're going to say play on north beach ball well just a knock on I'm sure there was contact on the ball there from from North Beach but allowed to go and they'll have another opportunity as they get late in this half that was a bit bit messy the crowd didn't like it and it's going to be a penalty to the sea eagles South Perth ruled to be offside not square at marker wanted to take the quick tap there Bailey Robinson called back and takes it again poia hins plays it back to Cary kigan gets the ball back on the [Music] inside now Robinson to funga funga again the ball gets around the corner to toui and the pass called [Music] forward again tried to get the the arms out in front and and flick that flick that ball backwards a bit of trickery from the Seagal but uh the referee not convinced that the pass went backwards so South Perth get the ball they're trying to trying to up the tempo a little bit here the lines it's Turner Wallace goes to the line not a lot of options for her just has to go to Smith player back the Turner wall go out to Su Millie holds it up double pumps and they go through now Carol backing up Carol again takes on April Allen this time Allen Dives and comes up with the tag well South Perth oh gone into touch well the flag came up from the touch judge I'm not sure did she go into touch before the tag was grabbed that must be the ruling we're a long way from it all the way over on the far side a mistake from North Beach will once again give the Lions an opportunity but they're not going to get that opportunity as the halime siren sounds and what a first half it was South Perth with a long range try to Brook Carol of a beautiful short ball from Zara Su Milly took on April Allen that's a battle I've really enjoyed is the two fullbacks but from that moment it was all North Beach they responded with tries to to Cox Tessa poia hins and chenade LS all of them unconverted which certainly keeps the lions in the Hut at the break at half time it is the North Beach SE Eagles 12 leading the South Perth lion six on the atlas score board we'll take a break from Dorian Gardens and we'll back with the second half shortly [Music] a [Music] [Music] he [Music] [Music] he [Music] he [Music] he [Music] a [Music] [Music] n [Music] [Music] what [Music] [Music] [Music] ladies and gentlemen and welcome back for the second half of the westpack women's league tag Grand Final here at Dorian Gardens the teams are ready they're Keen they want to get back into it for this second half no referees yet Ben Granger and his team just making their way out onto the field now Turner Wallace has tracked him down wanted to wants to have a bit of a chat maybe some of the decision that went against South Perth there in that first half and trying to get some clarity maybe a little bit of assistance from the man with a whistle she doesn't seem overly satisfied with the explanation she's received but we're about ready to get on with it at halim North Beach leading 12 points to six on the atlas scoreboard and South Perth will get first use of the ball as the trophy comes down down to the sideline that's what they're playing for the kickoff that's going towards the dead ball line and Brook Carol had to Sprint across to to take that one it was uh Claudia wood just sort of looked at it for a long time happy for somebody else to grab the bouncing [Music] ball the Lions well they look to limit their mistakes here in this second half they made too many particularly the back end of that first half Carol floats a pass over well as I say that bit of commentator's curse in their first set of six moving the ball they go out wide and and putting a a lot of pressure on the Winger out wide and a pretty simple error handing that over to North Beach and they'll go right on the attack coming out of dummy half nowhere to go for Toby come back towards the Middle with funger funger goes right to the line reard mcgoffin hasn't really broken this game open yet they come out to Robertson players on the inside and outside goes to April Allen April Allen goes towards the line spit spits out of one two three the great April Allen goes across to score a great try they just could not grab the tag it was just beyond the fingertips of three or four Defenders they couldn't grab it North Beach score and extend this lead there must be a bit of chatter here from Turner Wallace Ben gr just called her out to to have a quick chat well April Allen pretty early in this second half gives North Beach a pretty sizable advantage and South Perth with a hell of a lot of work to do they really have been Their Own Worst Enemy the last uh see 15 20 minutes of of game play their opening 10 was fantastic but since then lots of mistakes lots of [Music] penalties and North Beach are not a team that needs a great deal of invitation April Allen attempting now to convert her own try looks good off the boot scrapes the post and goes over so for the first time today they go up in Sixers and they lead 18 points to six on the atlas scoreboard very early in this second half that's probably the only the only positive that the Lions can draw upon is that there is time there is time remaining in this game but they need the ball they need to complete sets they need opportunities a short little kickoff and I think that's grabbed before it's gone 10 it'll be a penalty to South Perth should be at the halfway line not at the 40 m line there but South per take the tap from there so not the most conventional way to get themselves the chance but a chance all the same they go inside the SE Eagles 30 short pass just hitting Williams Williams still going Williams no the tag is gone she has to go back a a good 15 M to where it came off plays it back to Grace Smith she goes across to Norton now Smith will play it back to Grace kicking behind I don't know that that was played out at all it's picked up by North Beach not not one of the best kicks of the uh the day from Beth Norton and now a penalty to South Perth Beth Norton was just right in the ear there of the referee and he's had enough he's got plenty of feedback [Music] South Perth well they're continuing this running battle with Ben grer that's not one they're going to win they need to focus on their opponent that ball played sideways almost from poia [Music] hins don't know that she was uh she played that square but not picked up by the officials it's funger goes to the line gets one around the corner and earlier got mcgoffin well I think it was might come back to uh funger to play the ball it goes now to Allen Allen dummies they've overread that April Allen into the back field she takes on Carol who comes up with the tag on the final play and hands it over South Perth want to play the ball and get on with it Su Millie she's ditch the Visa in the second half she means business it's Grace Smith takes a run out of dummy half good tag from Bailey Robinson now the ball goes towards the Middle with Carol hands it off to mcder another chess pass goes out wide to bste now on tackle five Grace Smith the dummy half stepping looking for room to kick here Norton ball hits the deck and it sits up nicely for AA Cox so Milly comes through and grabs the the Quick Tag though stops her before she can get any momentum going work down a short side that one's there for Su Milly she picks up tries to Counterattack straight away poia hins comes up with a important tag they work down this same side stepping past one goes hals hows inside the 10 m line of the SE Eagles now suly goes to Carol who juggles it gets the ball back Smith they look like they've got numbers out here they need to take it to the line though Turner Wallace does exactly that fires a pass over the top on the bounce gone forward there's a lot of things gone wrong there for the Lions Sophie Craig ible to catch up with it but uh all to know a v on the lines they're starting to get themselves into positions where they can score tries but you can feel that scoreboard pressure is getting to them down 18 points to six on the atlas scoreboard it's north beach try and work it out of their end funger short ball good tag there from from Smith that's CLA Smith and a kick from inside the 30 from Robinson sits up nicely just sort of stops on a point Nows Carol to get it and again comes together with not her opposite number but the player playing the same position in 14 under April Allen now Su Millie goes to the line inside pass and the South Perth lines into the back field a good run here from bodn dead now it goes to Smith Grace Smith di for the line gets it down the Lions they ain't done with yet Grace Smith scores and that was again Zara Su Milly just a nice little inside pass to Stacy Boden she managed to link with Grace Smith who had just enough speed to get to the line and an important conversion attempt coming of course down by 12 they have to go up in with in sixes so Beth Norton about 21 in from touch should kick it on a normal day but on Grand Final Day funny things can happen the seagull have got themselves into a great position to defend their title last year's Premier minor Premier would just one lost during the regular season a little hiccup in the qualifying final against South Perth right now leading 18 points to 10 an important conversion attempt for Beth Norton moves in stes it out to the left it stays out to the left it's waved away well that might be telling at the end of the [Music] day so North Beach leading 1810 on the atlas [Music] scoreboard 15 minutes left in this game so there's certainly time for for two tries for the Lions North Beach kicking that one Deep South Perth needing to come up with points quickly McDermot going down a short side coming in for a carry now is Sophie Craig wants a quick play the ball goes to Turner Wallace who again has a little juggle she's only got one option short and that's CLA Smith plays it back to grce Smith now goes out to seill Su goes to the line goes out the back to Carol Carol just fires one a hook shot over the top they go out to the wing and again a forward pass is found by the referee I'm assuming that the uh little hook shot pass Zar Sur Milly must must have been the one that they uh found issue with so work down a short side with Cox tag from Williams all out in two hands here from Sakia two H goes out to funger and again wrapping around goes toui back inside n little bit of trickery some nice little set moves but South Perth read it and handled it well April Allen out of dummy half puts the kick down tracking across and taking it nicely as Brook Carroll Carol looks to use the speed to get to the outside well it was contact there with with Robinson and Cox but no whistle [Music] well penalty there goes goes against Robinson sort of held on to the tags and decided not to take them don't find a lot of ground with the uh the touch finder South Perth in a simple little hit up and shy Williams just shakes the hips without really moving bste now to Su Milly dummies goes almost through how you got a mofen comes up with the tag Norton goes to Smith Smith the tag is gone Grace Smith out of dummy half again to Norton Norton's going to kick from just inside a half Carol is chasing through the ball sits up April Allen beats the first puts a little grubber in behind and Smith is just jogging on the spot CLA Smith well if she wasn't there CLA Smith then there was a try to April Allen for your life instead South Perth have got the ball pass over the top that'll be knocked on I think from bod instead they'll hand it over North Beach they get away with that that little early kick Su Millie going backwards almost got was always offside kind of lost uh where the ball was there momentarily North Beach though couldn't exploit that one Sakia short ball mcgoffin into the back field takes on Carol here G mofen the first time that she's really broken the line and North Beach looking to drive a nail in [Music] here work a short side Allen short ball stepping through goes Toby tag taken though tackle five hand well that was that was the last and handing it over no try South Perth with the ball but they 99 M from where they need to be 11 minutes left on the clock comes across to Turner Wallace goes to Smith she'll play the ball this is where they need to fire their shot although they come away from where the backline was set up and Turner Wallace gets the pass around to Smith and again the ball is called forward well they've caught a lot of passes forward in this game the touch judges have been red hot on anything line four anything that's even close seems to be getting called they've been consistent throughout though as LS couple of South Perth Defenders make the tag they take the step out of dummy half Toby happy to just take the tag there and set it up funger funger slices through Almost Smith the diving tag comes to Robinson Robinson slows things down rolls it in behind Carol's got it covered but won't get back into the field to play although the contact there was a push there from Robinson and a because it was in the in goal area the penalty is 10 m out they're not going to kick for the line it will just be a tap here from Smith puts it on the ground to tap it old school star another penalty to South Perth they wanted to take the the quick one but didn't have a tag on there anyway Shila Williams certainly wasn't allowed so now the lions theyve got back-to-back penalties but it hasn't really helped them territorially at all haven't been able to close enough to the sideline to be able to kick it out and to get themselves some extra territory and it's early in the count not uh not massive advantages for those back-to-back penalties South Perth and the tag there taken from aana Kahu Ray Smith going across field goes to Turner Wallace turns that underneath that one's read very well there by ARA Gard mofen Norton kicking from inside of 30 and'll be taken well in the South Perth half by North Beach so they're well and truly on top the mistake there and you hear the South Perth crowd they on the right of screen all the red and white they went up with that mistake they know that that gives them an opportunity Norton Coming Back Against the Grain running a good line His Image in HS but they make the tag they come this side again with Carol Carol tries to get the pass around the corner to Williams gets in there again now to Smith Smith not a lot of options on this side it comes back to the middle it comes to Carol the ball comes free and they'll hand it over so North Beach will play the [Music] ball South Perth they're running out of chances down 18 points to 10 on the atlas scoreboard they're fighting hard to try and get back into it but North Beach are holding firm get that short side now and throws Wallace now Robinson to funger Turner Wallace makes the tag now to Allen had to be made and was comes back to tiou not the best pass from dummy half she'll put the kick in under a bit of pressure knocked backwards by Carol she eventually picks it up and Emily arag mcgoffin just stays on top of it step out a dummy half from Williams and they go towards the middle they've got to fire a shot here it's going to happen it's got to happen you'd think in this set Turner Wallace plays it back to Grace Smith she gets out a dummy half gets away from the marker can she create something on the outside no and they go towards some middle on the final play it'll go to Norton she puts a little grubber in behind that sits up nicely tries to draw and pass gets past the first one gets the pass on the outside and they'll hand it over well they gave us a momentary bit of excitement the Lions North Beach they scramble back keep their line intact they look to complete this set put it down the other end try and put this one away Smith comes up with the tag there just outside her own 40 now to Allen Allen goes in behind one of her own players that's allowed to go though well I thought that was an obstruction she definitely ran behind one of her own teammates it's Robinson goes to toui the tag made by Smith Robinson again out a dummy half and again takes good meters on play five April Allen a dummy half goes to turu they go a couple wide to funger funger will put a kick in behind goes to Carol the the chase line needs to be straighten it is that's a good kick Chase from North Beach they're giving her no room to work with nice run out of dummy half takes good meters but they need more than just meters they need line breaks right now do South Perth simple settler for Smith they look to set up to this left hand side not a lot of territory there for white now Turner Wallace he's tried hard gets the pass out to Kaho and they're going to get get to the final play for a kick it's a deep kick and a kind bounce for Emily Rose Wallace who beats the first chaser but not the second but still 40 m out from her own line as the clock starting to tick away is well and truly against South Perth at the moment is not their friend North Beach able to play fairly conservatively I'll be quite happy to take some time off the clock and what at least a bit of time in this set only got just over the halfway line so it hasn't been a great set territorially but uh they'll still get to the kick and a good one off legs and coming forward just managed to get that one Sophie Craig but then runs into [Applause] touch well this is going to be a north beach ball they're going to say she went into touch before the tag was taken [Music] and North Beach well with 3 and 1 half minutes left a chance here to put South Perth well and truly to bed could really give them the cherry on top i' been the better team as they step through with funger course she's a player that deserves one they grab it just to 4 M short of the line Allan dummy go can almost goes through finds a way pass the funger they up on her quickly though and shut that down before anything can develop Miller goes to Robinson Robinson little kicking behind nice tag and they'll hand it over but look where they are once again they've just controlled territory throughout this second half really they've control kept it down this end of the field and southp just haven't been able to break the line to get down the other end at any stage need to see if they've got a a trick shot in their bag they come to the look to get to the outside just not quite enough speed there from Amy thelon Robertson again some arms outstretched and some complaints there from Stacy bod instead he's got plenty of feedback in this game as referee Ben Granger I don't know that he'll be getting an invite to the South Perth Christmas party as that one tapped up to her own Advantage Tate LS she's been very good one of the tric scorers for North Beach here she goes again gets through one gets through two gets up to the 10 m line before a tag is finally taken now to Robertson Robertson tilloy trying to hit the hole closed quickly though by Kaho they keep coming to this side with Allen April Allen gets the pass out to Cox Cox wants a double Cox gets a double and the north beat SE Eagles will celebrate back-to-back premierships in the West Pack women's league tag [Music] [Music] well that will be the ball game here they're out to a 12-point lead now we near it well there only seconds remaining I don't think will get a restart disappointment for South Perth another another very good season in this league tag competition first through to the decider with that 140 win over North Beach in the qualifying final but they meet again in the Grand Final and North Beach apart from that opening 10 they they've been the dominant team they've been the better team for 40 of the 50 minutes April Allen moves in strikes it all right I don't think it's going to have the legs though it falls short as the siren sounds and the North Beach SE Eagles will celebrate they have won the westpack women's league tag Grand Final with a 22 points to 10 win over South Perth a doubled way to Cox jenade LS Tessa poia hins and April Allen their Tri scorers and W for South Perth Brook Carol got a great try early on in the piece and Grace Smith grabbed one to give them some life some hope uh down the back end but uh North Beach thoroughly deserve it Premier winning 22 points to 10 and thanks very much for joining us for the first to five grand finals today and the next one will be the fuel to go and play third grade between the Willie Bears and The freem manal Roosters join us for that one we've got a big day plenty more to come congratulations to the north pach SE Eagles westpack women's league tag premier [Music] he [Music] a [Music] oh [Music]
