Dunkin Early Summer Menu 2024 Review: Donut Lattes, Watermelon Donut, Cookie, Kiwi Watermelon, More

Intro ye and welcome back to the southern stack where life is too short to be serious this is a massive review a massive order and let me give a huge shout out to the location Franklin Virginia you guys did an awesome job everything nicely put together great job um and I go out of my way to come out here right I live in suffk the suffk locations have lost my trust so it's like okay let's keep trying Franklin and every time they raise it up another bar and so this is a massive review right I was like am I going to break this down into two videos like I usually do I'm like no no I've got so many reviews and let's just get it all done right now let's put it all on a Tik Tok put it all in a YouTube video and then you can pick and choose what you want you can fall asleep if you want to as well I don't care good Watermelon Donut morning how you doing um all right so pretty crazy thumbnail coming right at least I've got two free hands I didn't have that for the Tik Tock but I got everything in the Tik Tock so um it's all about the balance here and balancing this one is not so easy especially now to pick this one up so I got all the co the doughnut coffees are here and the other drink SL coffees are here maybe not the best looking thumbnail but everything's in there so and we'll show everything off too I mean come on now my Tik Tok shows it off and this is going to show it off so you know as much as you probably want me to start with coffee cuz Duncan's really become the coffee realm jumped into that um we're going to start with food right and I did not do my research on this Green Goddess WAP as I should have um but when we buite into it we'll look at it we'll give you a review anyways but everything else I think I I well familiar familiarize myself with reason I want to jump into the food this dut is messy it is just covered in this watermelon flavored powder I think so it's a uh it's a strawberry idiot it is a watermelon jelly fill donut why would I say strawberry I don't know so let's take a bite into this bad boy not a lot of jelly it's not bad though just want jelly and the the more I bite into this um yeah there's no jelly I thought this thing came filled with jelly maybe I'm wrong but there's no jelly in there h M and keep in mind I don't think they Bak the Donuts at Duncan it's kind of outsourced so this came from another place right this donut was somewhere else to start with it's not bad of course I I know it needs I think it's supposed to have jelly in it I could be wrong not a super strong tasting watermelon flavor and I assume it's like a candy feeling like a candy watermelon feeling would probably be way better with that filling um sorry but I would give that a solid seven it's it's a decent dut um slightly sweet with that powder all right we're going to do the Green Goddess gra U Green Goddess wrap now looks pretty now they do make this there so let's try it out I have no clue what's in here as I said looks like there's some spinach cheese tomato maybe egg it's not bad either um it's definitely very hearty it's got these hearty kind of ingredients to it yeah I could I could rock with this that would make a good breakfast um I mean not the highest quality green Godus wrap I've ever had but I mean you're working with Duncan ingredients right I would say seven and a half I think that's very solid I like it more than a donut all right now this one a lot of people might be going crazy for this one chocolate chip cookie open this bad boy again as you could see they don't make it a Duncan it's out sourced some I mean Duncan might make it but you know what I mean so it's like a chocolate chump cookie um I didn't read the description there's some type of nut in here I think at least my friend Kimmy told me that and doesn't say it contains nuts so I don't really remember what is in there but anyways let's let's try it out that's pretty good very chocolatey there's something crunchy there just look at the bottom so all chocolate chunks are not the same in this cookie but it's very interesting a little too salty but nice and soft chocolatey get a nice touch of brown brown sugar that loky smacks he's telling me you can't say slaps for food that it's smacks so I guess I got to say smacks um yeah that's a pretty good cookie I I definitely like it better than the other two items um I think I like that so much i' give it eight and a half just you know there are better fresher cookies and let it's a little salty but Vanilla Frosted Donut it's it's good all right we're jumping into the coffee we got a lot of straws around this isn't even a Dunkin straw to start with but we're going to start with man that saltiness of the cookie though it's still getting me um we're going to start with the one that they're everyone's advertising the um vanilla frosted doughnut I I'm very skeptical I think I'm going to come away disappointed in these doughnut flavors I just don't know how I've never understood the concept of like dut flavored things like what is a dut flavored thing is it supposed to be supposed to taste like glaze donut I I don't know but we're trying it we've got four varieties so like we're going to be bound to light one right and I was not a big fan of churro okay wow that is dut flavored I don't know if it's like a a glaze flavor here it's not overly sweet but it does feel like I've just taken a dut and dipped it into this like mild coffee maybe a latte I guess you could say cuz it's milky very subtle very vanilla I like it I like it um yeah that would probably pair really well with the wrap or the cookie or even just a regular donut I give it like a seven and 1 half I think you know it could get worse or better from here in terms of the coffee um I don't want to do coconut yet well Coconut's the most normal one out of the the rest of them the rest of them you got coconut you got jel uh jelly donut raspberry jelly donut and you got blueberry so we're trying coconut now that is so weird now that you've left the realm of vanilla it's like the doughnut continues but then you've got coconut in this and it's it's pretty good I can't say I've I to my memory I don't remember ever having a coconut doughnut which is interesting because of all the donuts I've eaten in my lifetime but this is good I think you know the fact that it's a little less basic than the vanilla I think I like it a little bit more um would it be my go-to no but it's very interesting i' I'd give it a solid eight it's it's yeah I I like that um now we're on to Blueberry this one could be my favorite I've liked some of their blueberry flavors a lot like the uh what was it last year they did something with blueberry last year wasn't blueberry was it blueberry pancake no it was blueberry muffin blueberry muffin was really good so hopefully blueberry don't not hopefully they do a good job let's see okay my favorite so far not super far off from a blueberry muffin of course you don't have that like Rich buttery brown sugar flavor to it but it it works that actually kind of snacks lowkey busing and I know I say I don't like it as much as blueberry muffin but that is that works that is delicious I'm going Raspberry Jelly Donut to give it a nine just cuz I I can't stop thinking about blueberry muffin folks and I I don't know if we can recreate that still I feel like you can't maybe you could you could you could play around with maybe like butter pean and throw some blueberry in there that would basically do it I don't remember how how you do it but anyways we're going to go ahead finish the doughnut side of this with raspberry so last time I had a raspberry coffee from Duncan I was in Portsmouth they did pretty good it was pretty interesting and it worked so let's see if raspberry jelly donut works it's not bad but it's it's leaning to be my least favorite yeah again you can taste that doughnut flavor you can taste a good amount of raspberry but it just doesn't hit magically like a raspberry donut yeah it's just okay I I I like it to an extent I would give it like I'd give it Vanilla Pecan Latte a six I there's there's an extent of it that is interesting all right so we're moving on should I I'm going to stick with coffee I know y'all probably want to know about the raspberry lemonade and the Kiwi watermelon refresher that's good that's fine but we're going to we're going to stick the coffee for now just keep coffee in our system so this is vanilla pean again not bundled up with the doughnut items and everything but when you go to like glattes um you got vanilla PE can and then you've got this other one almond caramel caramel almond which is very interesting I think you should take it up another step you should do PE can with chocolate and caramel that would be a combination maybe hold off to like fall or winter Duncan but chocolate caramel peac can and May be winter cuz you know those uh candies those chocolate candies that would be a very interesting coffee flavor I don't know I'm not I'm not I'm not in the realm of marketing I really should be with my degree my experience I really should be but I'm just giving you a suggestion all right let's try this out very sweet which would should come to No Surprise I don't even really know what the vanilla adds to it other than some more sweetness yeah it's enjoyable but I don't see the point of buying that one right it's just a really sweet butter pecan bigan yeah okay moving on uh seven Caramel Toasted Almond Seven's it's good it tastes really good it's just very sweet very very sweet so if you love sweet things that might be your goto cuz a lot of these aren't quite as sweet the doughnut ones are not super sweet they're they're very defined and they're very correct in what they're doing right so this is the last coffee it's a caramel toasted almond so very interesting caramel and almond wouldn't have thought of that but anyways this one's defined right it's got some some rich sweetness to it not overly sweet but it's definitely got that almond extract flavor to it it's got the rich caramel it's interesting of course it's not going to be for everyone but it works I'm enjoying it it's very perplexing I would still put it on the same level as the vanilla butter Becon it doesn't like stand out to me it's not like oh that's going to be my go-to but if you like a very sweet coffee especially if you're like someone that likes almond extract I think this one will will be something that pleases you um definitely gives a Twist to your normal like caramel latte or caramel macchiato by adding that almond flavor so again you got to have this defined PL palette but it'll work for you all right Kiwi Watermelon so we're moving on to the end and I'm just I don't have anything to change my my palette here to to prepare me for for this refresher and if there's anything that doesn't get along it's me and Duncan's Refreshers they always tend to be just so artificial so just terrible I always be I'm always a hater but kiwi and watermelon sounds very interesting right I would hope that the Kiwi is at least not artificial watermelon that's the expectation but watermelon as an artificial um flavor I don't mind it it's very sweet it's like candy like so who knows but we're going to we're going to figure it out and uh let's go imagine a very watery beverage again that's just their Refreshers every location I've gone to it's just never I've never liked their Refreshers um and it you do get like the artificial flavor of watermelon but it's not sweet it's kind of tropical with that kiwi but again these Refreshers are just not something that would be my go-to it's very Bland it's not offputting it's not terrible but you know to me Dunkin Refreshers are also reminder of other things that I just are not for me like sparkling water sparkling water is not for me if I want a a sparkling drink I will get soda that is sweet right so this is like that but without the sparkling right the refreshers just don't do it for me I'm going to give it a five it's not Raspberry Lemonade the worst refresher I've had terrible Refreshers from Duncan terrible ones that one that was do it all right so we're coming to the end of our video and I'm looking for a ra that I can use for this drink because I'm not mixing coffee into it all right I feel like coughing I got to breathe breathe in breathe out so this you as you can see the raspberry syrup has no color but it's in there it's in there this is this is how it's supposed to look if you go on the App raspberry lemonade under the the summer fun or whatever fun there's two tabs there's the donut and then the the the fun one I don't know both are fun don't don't don't trick yourself both are fun but one says donut and one says something fun bursting into fun I don't know but we're going to finish this review off with the raspberry lemonade it's not bad I often times am a firm hater on Duncan lemonades but this is again it's not bad very tart very flavorful in way I do like it more than the raspberry doughnut C I'm really trying to determine would I give this like a seven or would I give it seven and a half I think just that burst of flavor that it's got I'm leaning seven and a half yeah a could rock with this especially on like a hot day which we're seeing a lot of those now I mean it's early summer menu early summer late spring whatever you want to call it we all want to go to the beach now we all want to quit our jobs and just sit out on the beach and get a tan which I don't ever get a tan I'll burn then I'll be fine and then I may not feel the burns again but I I don't ever tan I don't know but raspberry lemonade Final Thoughts 7 and a half all right oh yeah this is a pretty solid lineup definitely a step up from the last time we did a review like for the main menu for the spring early spring menu so or whatever you want to call it very very big step up from churro like forget churro churro is in the past we're into the future so um will I have more Duncan reviews coming who knows whoever knows Duncan could surprise us you know who always surprises us oh y'all don't want me to drop this name Starbucks they they've been surprised like every two weeks they're like oh here's another one oh here's another one oh here's another one um they do have a new summer beverage coming so I will be reviewing that and they've got some nice looking desserts but again they don't have have any fun coffees coming yet so Duncan though that dut coffee y'all did good good I was surprised very surprised again churro you let me down donut we right back we'll see if uh if there's any test locations Raleigh was testing some drinks back in the spring I tried those and those really let me down they need to do more coffee testing none of this refreshing lemonade test that was bad but anyways great review hopefully you enjoyed this video and if you don't like these
