hey everyone it's Sunday September 15 2024 it's connections time but before we get started a quick programming note uh so back on September 5th we recorded an episode of connections we do these in advance and be very clear the New York Times has no relationship with me whatsoever and does not give me uh puzzle information in advance I'm just a regular uh fan of the game like we all are uh well nonetheless uh because we tap these in advance sometimes the times change the order in which they're going to publish these games uh that sort of Kur fuffle happened on the 5th uh so we immediately pulled this episode Down uh it is in fact today's puzzle so rather than play it and record it a second time which wouldn't be fair i' know the answers there'd be no fun in that we're going to broadcast this once again with the dates obviously changed on the screen uh so anyway nonetheless let's enjoy connections let's see what goofiness we're going to get ourselves into today all right today we have clown dwell turkey sea Wonder sap dwindle stay decline dweeb e live sin inhabit dwarf and drop okay uh interesting let's see a clown a dweeb a turkey uh maybe a sap uh would be uh the opposite of Terms of Endearment doofus ladies and gentlemen the official New York Times category named doofus uh if you in fact said the word doofus before you clicked please claim your reward in the comments below uh the reward is my eternal uh a struck at your epic awesomeness there you go we'll send you out a card in the M toofus all right well I'll take the point on that I think I get that um stay dwindle dwell and inhabit would be to maybe linger yes maybe linger no one away I think inhabit maybe the one that's on off here stay dwindle dwell maybe EB I was thinking immediately when I said inhabit I think I think I meant EB no and that wasn't even one away okay so I'm going to back off of that before we expend all of our guesses okay not great um to maybe it's to oh you know it is to dwindle to drop to decline and to E le to become lesser than there it is decrease okay so we need the yellow and the purple here so to inhabit to dwell to live into stay would be to uh make their residence make one's residence reside okay there we go and then finally for purple we have sea dwarf wonder and sin I absolutely assume that we're dealing with a phrase here um original sin um H wonderful sinful no but that War full that wouldn't work um sea star uh Wonder H dwarf uh interesting um sin is it a phrase or is there something weirder going on here um I feel like it's going to be a phrase I'm not willing to jump off that thought um the SE oh these are sevens it's not truly a phrase but it's it's more of a traditional category we have sevens we have the seven se's we have the Seven Dwarves which of course we thoroughly prosecuted a week or two ago and it was Huey Dewey Louie Steve Frank jebadiah and Gordon pretty confident in that one we have the seven wonders of the world and the seven deadly sins yeah this is definitely sevens oh I got to select them first I'm so excited that I figured it out member of a SE wait a minute member of a sepet um if you got doofus and member of a septet by using those words ah you have my I'm just you're I'm in awe you are the greatest connections player of all time um yes septet which is member of something with seven uh Seven Elements member of a group with seven elements so okay uh I realize I might have gotten a few of the dwarves wrong please please refrain from any hostile Corrections uh we will not need a Corrections connection I already am well aware that I made up a couple of them but you know what it's been a long connections week so that's going to happen sometimes uh dying to see what you guys are doing in the comments uh it should be very exciting thanks again for watching everyone um and we'll see you tomorrow for some more connections
