[Music] One Step from National Championship number six can Nebraska get a Hollywood ending to this magical season everything was going through our heads at that point because this was this was like end [Music] game in front of a packed amily Arena they were lined up over 3 hours before this match started let's go [Music] Madison Skinner right on Q at the start incoming Becca Alec with the S are you kidding me Nebraska and Texas battled the first set scrapping play by Nebraska Miss timing to bermar Beren Riley getting off R pushing it to Harper tricky tricky first lead for Nebraska today and you see Texas go right at Harper Murray they want to load her up with responsibilities I was like w like are we ready for this right now [Applause] W volleyball is a game of mistakes it's a miscommunication on the Nebraska side Skinner coming in three blockers over there and Matty Skinner gets Texas Sub Point Texas wins a dramatic set one there's only been one team to win a National Championship with no seniors and that was back in 1986 momentum is such a huge thing and momentum's [Music] [Applause] [Music] emotional 70 Run for the lorse and all the momentum is with Texas right now we all kind of felt a little bit of like we don't know what to do we have to go now but it's not [Music] going the third set it just felt like it was in slow [Music] motion it was just slowly like falling apart and slowly coming to an end [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] it was like [Music] I did not know a sport of volleyball could break my [Music] heart I obviously it sucks right now to be in this position but I'm just so grateful to be here and grateful to be a part of this team cuz it was so special [Music] [Music] I was mad I wasn't sad it was pure anger starting with Harper how long is it going to take to get this one out of your system I don't really think it's going to leave my system so it'll just carry on to next year and make us win next year Harper that you never know how things are going to turn out and there's no guarantees but I've been say I've said to people this year if you don't get Nebraska this year you better you know do you feel like that yeah I think we're going to win three national championships the next three years so when I listened to it I thought yeah she wants to win that's so Harper and it's so V like God there's her dad like in his purest form he would have said the same [Music] thing after the game making that comment just opened up like a whole new world of hate that I never thought I was going to get my Tik Tok my Instagram basically any public form of social media that I had I just got a bunch of hate comments a lot of DMS some people would tell me that I ruined the sport of volleyball some people told me to kill [Music] myself if she was a male and she said the exact same thing in that moment no one would even think twice about it that's her first press conference after a loss in her college career to me Harper was displaying her belief system I was ready to run through the wall for her she was home within a few days and so it was when she got home that I realized this isn't about losing in a championship match this is definitely more [Music]
