at Purdue then you got Louisville later in the month and then Georgia Tech Navy this is all winnable from here on out yeah it's all winnable from here on out but but there seems to be an issue okay this is the third time under Marcus Freeman that Notre Dame has been a double digit favorite in loss you go back you got Stanford Marshall and Northern Illinois and so maybe it's a it's way that the team is being prepared you go to college station Last Week Big Win everybody's fired up you come back home you pay Northern Illinois 1.4 million to come to your house it's supposed to be a win and you lose I think Marcus Freeman has to go back and re-evaluate how the message to his team how he's getting his team ready because clearly there have been several cases not just once not twice but three times where his team has not been ready to play more importantly you look at Riley Leonard the quarterback hasn't been really good he he was gutty last week at Texas A&M and College Station but today he was bad two ints he was late throwing the football and they have a lot to figure out before we can start worrying about the rest of their schedule in the playoff yeah and Thomas hammock talked about it too the emotions there talking about the veteran bunch of his team and again it is the landscape of college football you're going to get transfers you're going to get kids coming in and out the idea of a veteran team not panicking in that environment while Notre Dame bringing in Riley Leonard and and you can see it's like no it's supposed to happen it's supposed to it just never happened because when you look at the offense there's no Dynamic plays we didn't see any Dynamic explosive plays from this entire team over the last two games no trust you heard what coach hammock talked about we're family we don't go in the transfer portal we're built because our guys have been here and he said I told our guys we don't need luck just believe be your best and that's what's amazing about college football you know we get so caught up in the 14 playoff the 12 team playoff who's playing who any given Saturday still exist yeah and you saw a team that believ you saw a coach that coached his players to believe and that's what's special about college football and as long as we can keep that a coach with pure emotion he went into a place that he wasn't supposed to win in but he got his team to believe he's not crying for himself he's crying because his team believed in themselves and he was able to guide them to the Victory and me when you look at Notre Dame again when you go into the transfer portal Florida State Notre Dame and you get a transfer quarterback and that quarterback doesn't play well now as a coach you have to re-evaluate how are you going to handle it going forward because the guy that's in the locker room meaning that transferred quarterback hadn't been there long enough he doesn't have enough pellets on the wall how do how do you look at him how does his teammates look at him can Riley Leonard go back in that locker room after today's performance and still get a hey but it's going to be okay is he going to get that pat on the back that's something Marcus Freeman has to coach and it's only in this transfer portal era where you have to coach your team to continue to love this transfer quarterback otherwise your season could go downhill so that's something everybody doesn't talk about in this era of transfers a Northern Illinois 388 total yards they controlled the tempo of the entire game 35 minutes of time possession getting those two turnovers only 286 total yards from notame new OC coming from LSU as well it it feels like a disconnect do you see a disconnect so when Mike Den Brock the offensive coordinator was at LSU he had a quarterback that was a dual threat guy Jaden Daniels and he could call the game based on that Riley Leonard is athletic but he's not athletic is Jaden Daniels and it looks like to me that Mike Den Brock is trying to figure out what Riley Leonard does best and through two games on the job training has taken place he doesn't really know what Riley does best he tried to quarterback run for the first touchdown but as far as the passing game if you're defense you're going to continue to creep toward the line of scrimmage because you don't trust Riley Leonard throwing the football down the field two passes down the field two ints and so Mike Den Brock has to go back and re-evaluate what can I do with Riley Leonard that he does best not what jayen Daniels did at LSU what does Riley Leonard do best they they got to figure that out really quick and Thomas hammock getting the biggest win of the college football season so far doubt the biggest win in school history and $1.4 million for the football a lot of money Kev lot of money take a trip to South Bend and then break their hearts and then walk away with a W by the way the the last time I played this South B I got a little
