in recent months Mclaren has showcased remarkable performance with their drivers Lando Norris and Oscar piastri both clinching their first everr Prix victories this season the team Stella form has sparked discussions about their strategy and goals for the remainder of the Season Oscar piastri has emphasized that McLaren's primary focus is on securing the F1 constructor's Championship rather than solely supporting Lando Norris in his quest to catch Max for staffen in the driver's Championship with McLaren currently trailing red score by 42 points in the Constructor standings the team has demonstrated a stronger car in most events over the last 3 months this Resurgence began when Norris achieved his Maiden F1 victory at the Miami Grand Prix in early May pastry's recent second place finish at the Belgian GP marked McLaren's 10th consecutive Podium appearance as the season approaches its climax with the Dutch Grand Prix on August 23rd to 25th Norris finds himself 78 points behind Championship lead of the STA with 10 races remaining the first objective is to win the constructors for the team and I think we've got a very strong chance of doing that piastri told Sky Sports News we've been closing the Gap to Red Bull in the last six or seven races for me the driver's standings are important and I aim to finish as high as I can while I'm still in the running for the championship it's a significant challenge my focus is on delivering consistent performances to help the team win the constructors if the situation arises where I need to support Lando later in the year we'll discuss it but our primary target Remains the constructor's championship and achieving personal success McLaren's Journey this season has been unexpected initially they weren't seen as title contenders especially after Red Bull's dominant start with 312 finishes in the first four races however pastry's victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix highlighted McLaren's growing strength reflecting on the team's progress asri said last year we had a very quick car on certain circuits but had to rely on those tracks for good results this year we've been consistently fast everywhere which has boosted everyone's confidence we're no longer dependent on high-speed corners and we can confidently expect strong performances at all tracks this sets us up nicely for next year personally I'm growing in confidence learning more in my second year and aiming for continued success this season while preparing for an even stronger Run next year Norris who finished second to piastri in Budapest after heeding team orders remains optimistic about McLaren's future he stated we're in a really good place as a team trusting and working well together that's our biggest strength and why we're performing as one of the top teams in F1 I'm proud of our progress and eager to maintain this momentum McLaren's CEO Zack Brown reiterated the Dual importance of both the drivers and Constructors championships ultimately to win the con instructors we need both drivers to be as high up as possible seeing both drivers in the top three is our goal we currently hold second and fourth positions and closing the Gap in the driver's standings will bring us closer to the constructor's title we're aiming for both because every Point counts competing for both championships is an exciting prospect as we head into the summer break it's a testament to the hard work and dedication of our drivers and team with 10 podiums in a row being a remarkable achievement as Claren gears up for the second half of the season the team faces a challenging yet thrilling Journey with a strong lineup and consistent performance they are well positioned to contend for both the drivers and Constructor championships making for an exhilarating remainder of the Season hello mlar and F1 Fanatics if you enjoyed this video don't forget to smash that like button leave a comment down below and hit that subscribe button so you never miss any McLaren F1 updates and ASMR goodness your support helps us grow this amazing Community let's keep the conversation going and share our passion for McLaren F1 together
