Miami Dolphins 2024 Projected Depth Chart!

this was a hard one that's what she [Music] said what is up fin fans Tuesday all NFL teams have to get their team down from 90 to 50 well not everyone because the Cincinnati Bengals already like cut 11 people but from like 90ish to 53 so after the preseason game on Friday I went to work and I started to try to knock it down to 53 and holy moly guacamole was it hard I got it to 64 and then I got it to 59 and then I got it to 58 and I got it to 56 it's after 54 right now I you you make the last cut I'm I can't I can't I just don't know I don't know then you got a 16 player practice squad I kind of have a like nine in there right now it's just it's hard I don't envy head coaches and GMS and assistant coaches because they have inputs on this crap as well it's just hard so geez Louise like Jake Bailey as a punter I don't think he has the distance in his leg he used to at one point he was like a pro bowler uh but that's he's just not there and then you got Long Snapper Blake Ferguson and then I think Braxton and Malik Washington is going to be interchangeable I think right as of right now don't look at the depth of it I don't even know if anan's going to be in this situation but I wouldn't be surprised if back there is Malik and um Braxton when it comes to kickoffs cuz you know you have the two guys so there's your special teams knocked that out of the way how you do do all that stuff now let's get into the meat and potatoes something that holy guacamole was hard let's talk about scanning it real quick what did he do what did he do I feel like this is the closest that I could get to uh an actual accurate offense and I say that because I went to their 2023 depth chart they only had three quarterbacks four running backs one fullback three tight ends and six wide receiver and nine offensive linemen so I kind of went around that idea and your wide receivers are Tyreek kill Jaylen Wadd Braxton baros River crate craft Malik Washington Eric yukama it is kind of the same um obviously you'll have Odell in there but right now he's on the pup so I don't know what's going on with him so actually technically we're probably sitting at 55 but Odell is in there don't you worry your pretty littlee uh but it's kind of the same r receiver roster as last year just add Malik Washington and Odell but again Odell still on the pup I don't know if he's going to start the season on the pup so technically he's not counted against the roster so that's why he's not in there so before you like where's Odell there you go then you have we'll go to offensive line your starters toon Armstead Robert Jones Aaron Brewer Liam mikenberg Austin Jackson again Isaiah win is on the pup I don't know when he's coming off the pup hence him not being in there if Isaiah wi comes off the pup up say Wednesday then he will be plugged in at left guard but as of right now he's not there your backups are Patrick Paul Matthew Jones Jack Driscoll and uh Kendall lamb Jack Driscoll and Liam mikenberg are going to be that Center Left Right Guard situation we don't know what's going on with Aaron Brewer blah blah blah then you have your tight end you have Durham Smite John Smith and Julian Hill you might be asking yourself well where's Fortson and where's Tanner con uh these are your guys they love Julian Hill they brought in Janu Smith and Durham SMI is their guy those are your top threes and again like I said last year they had three tight ends if they were to add the fourth if it was between Tanner Conor and Jordi forson uh I'd probably lean towards Tanner Connor but I wouldn't be surprised if Jordi forson is there and I'll talk about the practice squad as I'm looking at my piece of paper but last year they ran with three tight ends and if they do it again this is probably what you're looking at dur SMI John new Smith and Julian Hill Alec Engel fullback running backs you have rahee moer Devon Anan Chris Brooks and Jaylen Wright last year again four running backs and um Jeff Wilson Jr wasn't on the active roster week one I think he was a practice squatter or I think he was on the IR or the pup I know he didn't start the season on sorry about the cough on the uh active roster and then your quarterbacks Tu Tong OFA and Skyler Thompson I am cutting Mike White I am saving $3.5 million and I'm running with two quarterbacks but I wouldn't be surprised if I was the Dolphins I would make a a call to tanah Hill and see how much to come play uh for the Dolphins but again I will talk into why a lot of teams are going to be waiting till after the first week when it comes to signing veterans but that is the offens of chart take a gander I'll let you comment below before I go to defense what do you like what don't you like now obviously some of you guys are probably really going to not like my tight end situation and not having Tanner Conor in there he did have a really good preseason and a really good training camp but again they love Julian Hill and that is the reason he is there and they ran with three tight ends last year it's kind of how their offense works um outside of that I don't think there's anything too shocking now when um Odell comes back that's where they need to make a a decision also with River Craycraft so say River Craycraft they kind of put him on IR I don't think they could put him on IR to start I think they'll start him on the pup so he can come back after week four they'll probably replace River with somebody maybe Odell comes off the pup and then boom river is taking out Odell's put in rivers on the IR I don't know but they would have to figure that out but again as of right now Isaiah win and Odell and Bradley chub which I think I put Bradley chub in there so technically I am at 53 so y all can suck a butt if you're like it's 54 I know it's hard um those guys are still on the P they're not coming off so there you go now we will get to the defense and here is the defense now the defense again very difficult the defense ran four defensive tackles six linebackers seven cornerbacks and five safeties I switched it up a little bit um you're looking at your defensive tackles and sealer Bonito Jones Clay Campbell Isaiah MC Brandon peeling to Shan hand your linebackers outside you got Jaylen Phillips no I do not have um Bradley chub in there so again when he comes off the pup they have to make a decision there um but your linebackers Phillips Outsider Phillips MO Manel agba and chop your middle linebackers are David long Jr Jordan Brooks Anthony Walker Duke Riley and Channing Tindle I have chaning Tindle making the roster I think he did very well in the preseason and I liked what I saw out of him in training camp uh it could be a thing where Duke Riley is replaced by Channing Tindle and I think that is where I'm stuck at 54 do I keep Duke Riley or do I keep Channing Tindle you know what I'm saying Duke rley is a very good special teamer and that's where I'm torn with it so there is your decision I'll let you make it do we keep Duke Riley and get rid of Channing Tindle or vice versa to hit the 53 man quota then you have your cornerbacks and Jaylen Ramsey Kendall Fuller cam Smith Ethan boner and siren Neil I know there's some names on there that you're like where did so and so go I had to get to 53 the Dolphins have to get to 53 you can't keep everybody it's a good thing that everyone's like BR your nickels are ker coou and Nick Needum again they had Seven Corners and I gave them Seven Corners and five safeties but this year I have him with four running with Javon Holland Jordan puyer Elijah Campbell and Marcus may I like the depth at safety and that is my 54 man roster because I don't know what to do with Duke Riley chanting Tindle that one is hard for me that's what she said um but that's my 53 man roster so let's talk about some other things I don't know why I counted it with my fingers practice squad how does the practice squad work well essentially it is now you're allowed to have 16 players on the practice squad six of them can be vets with no minimum so like say we did grab Ryan tanah Hill he can go on the practice squad there's no met vet minimum for that but you can poach anybody from a practice squad we got Zack Steeler from the Ravens practice squad I think it was like I know it was 2019 I think it was before the Giants game I went to that game and I was like Wow Steeler's really good so but you're allowed to save I think it's like two or three maybe four players like you're allowed to designate like hey you can't touch these guys um yeah they the way they go from the active roster to to the practice squad is when the Dolphins make their Cuts so say they make all their cuts on Tuesday they get down to 53 from 90 to 53 they make all of their 33 Cuts like that on Tuesday they have to wait until Wednesday at noon and if none of the people that they want to put in their practice squad which I got about nine people here they can then um put them in the practice squad if they don't get claimed and if you ever watch Hard Knocks it's like oh so and so got cut they're like hey you know we want to add you to the practice squ we really like what you do um this this and that and then all of a sudden the um Lee Lee schweber I think he's the voiceover like and then the Giants picked them up that's Morgan Freeman that was a horrible Morgan Freeman but that was Morgan Freeman that was that was El Le shriber um but you see what I'm saying um 10 players have to be practice squad eligible essentially meaning having no prior accur accured seasons in the NFL and what that means is six or more games so you can't be on the active roster for six or more games back-to-back Seasons so like the undrafted free agents and even like our seventh rounders and stuff like that um they can be put on the um there can be some of the 10 so you might be asking yourself hey Doug well what happened to Tanner Connor what happened to jod forson what happened to Isaiah Johnson what happened to storm duck well to me they're on the practice squad my practice squad is only nine players so I can still add another seven um Jordy forson Tanner Conor um Isaiah Johnson storm duck Lester cotton Chason Hines Patrick McMorris Quinn and Bell those are my nine and again I could add more like I could put channy Tindle on the practice squad if I'm like hey Duke Riley is more of a special teamer let's stick with Duke Channing you're going to go to the practice squad even though I really like the way Channing Tindle is fitting into Anthony Weaver's defense so far so it's going to be interesting now I talked about in a previous video who I did I talk about who I had did no I didn't maybe I'll make another video on this I'm going to make another video on this because there's going to be a lot of cuts there's going to be a lot of additions and I think what I'm going to do is kind of look at who can be cut and who might be cut and who the Dolphins can add which is going to counteract to what I just did having such a hard time getting the roster down from 90 to 53 cuz I'm sitting at 54 and now I'm going to go look at everyone else's possible cuts and be like well the Dolphins going to H him and you know we need this and because the Dolphins still need uh the last year they ran with three quarterbacks on the roster and I don't I would I if I'm the Dolphins I would just move on from Mike White he just Skyler showed especially this last game that he is better regardless of how much better um I remember somebody said someone on Twitter said to me I made the joke because Trey Lance ran like a 50-some yard touchdown so I made the joke like hey there's your backup quarterback Miami and then he threw five interceptions so obviously it wasn't anything serious and somebody was like he ain't he's not better than Mike White or Mike White is and I'm like just because one turd smells better than the other they're both crap and you know I think that this game Skyler showed he is better than Mike White especially with his ability to roll out make the throws he started to feel more comfortable like that was some of the things I noticed with him and he started using his arm strength but I still would want to add a vet so I got I got so many videos to make in the next two weeks before the season starts I'm going to do my prediction video I'm going to do my expectation videos got a lot and then the schedule starts and on the what the season starts on the 5th on the fourth is the pick so the third will be my prediction video the fourth will be my pick video the fifth is the kickoff game the sixth will be the first preview video Dolphins vs Jaguars and then I'll see you on the eighth live
